We're inside! And everyone looks really nice, all the dresses and the masks and even my hair looks relatively okay! Thanks Em. Anyways, I'm gonna get something to drink and than stand in the corner for the rest of the night.

'Come, lets get a drink', Jane said as she began to walk towards the bar in the far end of the auditorium.

Emily followed her. The whole room had been decorated quite nicely, they thought, but it wasn't really their style. And besides, it was way too crowded. There were people everywhere, which was something neither of them liked.

'Heey', a guy said as he walked up to them. 'I don't think I've seen either of you before.'

Through his green mask Jane could see his green eyes. His brown hair lay combed on his head.

'Hi', she said as she continued to walk to the bar alongside Emily.

'Would you like to dance?' he asked Jane. 'I mean, it's still early but a small dance never hurt anyone.'

'Oh, that's okay, I'm good', she replied and Emily pinched her.

'What she means', Emily began, seemingly annoyed. 'Is it would be her honour. Now go, on the dance floor with you two.'

Jane started at her friend for a second. She couldn't be serious. Emily knew she couldn't dance, and didn't want to dance. But by the time Jane had decided she wanted to talk to Emily, Emily had walked over to the bar and left Jane alone with the mystery guy.

'Well, okay I guess', she said as she took a couple of steps in his direction.

'Great', he said with a smile.
