I'm at Em's now and we already got our makeup done. I am looking forward to tonight, I promise. But I'm not expecting it to be anything great or anything. I just would love to go, you know. And it's not at all like it couldn't be great, but I've been an outcast all my life and that's not going to chance in just one night. Anyways, we're gonna get our hair done now and get into our dresses!

'I love your dress', Emily said as she picked up Jane's dress from the hanger. 'And it's totally you.'

'I love yours too', Jane said as she stood from where she had been sitting.

Jane walked around Emily's room. The room was small, and there was just enough space for a single bed, a nightstand, a small desk, a small closet and a bookcase (Emily had begged for this to be in her room so all her books didn't need to be on the ground in a pile). Emily had used a light blue colour scheme in her room, something Jane too was very fond of.

'Come, let me do your hair', Emily said as she pushed Jane on the bed. 'It'll just take a minute.'

'Okay', Jane said, knowing she didn't have a choice in the matter anyways.

If it had been up to her she would've worn it the same way she did every day. But Emily wouldn't let her, and would probably kill her if she kept it loose as always. So Emily had decided it would be a braid.

'Just hurry up', Jane said sighing. 'You know I don't like it when you do my hair.'

'Oh, I'm quite aware', Emily said laughing. 'It's really not like you ran away from me screaming once just because I touched it.'

Jane laughed, that had been embarrassing. And not just a little bit.

'But you know', Emily said as she began to braid it. 'It could be really nice if you wore it as a braid every day, or every other day or maybe even once a week.'

'You know I won't do that.'

'It's just a suggestion, no need to bite.'

They both laughed and Jane stared to the bedroom wall.

'I promise you it'll be great', Emily said. 'And it'll look great on you, okay?'

'Okay.'
