After capturing Lady Midnight, Kurono and Stain deliver her to Overhaul in his office. Midnight wakes up tied to a chair.

Overhaul: Why hello there, Lady Midnight.

Midnight: Get the fuck away from me?! Where's Snipe and Aizawa?!

Kurono: I'm afraid those two won't be bothering Overhaul's operation any longer.

Upon hearing that, Midnight was in disbelief. Overhaul had a sadistic smile on his face. The fact that Aizawa was dead pleased him more. He then tosses a bag of coins to Stain. 

Overhaul: For your troubles. A pleasure doing business with you, Phantom Killer.

Stain lets out a sigh as he exits the office. Despite completing the job, Stain felt robbed at the chance of facing Snipe in a duel. He decided to stick around town for a few days. Overhaul soon walks up to the bound Lady Midnight and wore and evil smile.

Overhaul: Kurono, I think it's time we make an example out this whore! Prepare the Gallows!

Kurono: Understood.

Meanwhile, Snipe rode the carriage to the gates of Musutafu. Upon seeing the carriage, the guards began questioning him.

Guard: Hey! State your fucking business!

Without saying a word, Snipe uncovered the Gatling gun and got behind it.

Snipe: I got some unfinished business with Overhaul! You tell Overhaul I'm coming for him and Hell's coming with me!

Snipe then began firing the Gatling gun upon the guards. Shie Hassaikai thugs began attacking, but were all mowed down. Back in the bar, Overhaul and Kurono hear gunfire. 

Kurono: What the hell?! 

Overhaul looks out the window to see his gang getting mowed down by Snipe's Gatling gun. Midnight smiles at this.

Midnight: Looks like they ain't as dead as you think!

Overhaul: Kurono! Bring the fucking whore! We're ending this cocksucker once and for all! 

As Snipe continues to mow down the Shie Hassaikai thugs, one of them throws a Molotov at the Gatling gun, setting it on fire. Snipe gets out of the carriage and throws a stick of dynamite at the gate.

Guard: Shit! It's gonna blow! 

The dynamite detonates and blows the gates open. As the thugs near the gate try to get their bearings, Snipe begins shooting them down with his Revolver. Snipe begins making his way through the town, killing anyone shooting at him. Eventually, he makes it to the bar where Overhaul, Kurono and a group of Shie Hassaikai thugs await him. He sees Lady Midnight tied to a hanging post.

Snipe: Nice to see ya again Overhaul! 

Overhaul: You're a dead man walking Snipe!

Snipe: Let the lady go Overhaul! 

Without hesitation, Overhaul shoots his Winchester Rifle at Snipe. Snipe falls to the ground. As Overhaul smiles and Midnight gasps, Snipe suddenly gets up.

Overhaul: What the fuck?!

Snipe: What's wrong Overhaul? Is your aim off? 

Stunned, Overhaul cocks his Winchester and shoots at Snipe ahead, making Snipe stagger from the shot. Midnight is shocked as much as the others are.

Snipe: You afraid Overhaul? You gotta hit the heart! You said it yourself Overhaul! 

Overhaul takes aim and shoots two more shots at Snipe. Each shot connects, but Snipe only staggers.

Snipe: The heart Overhaul. You gotta hit the heart. Hit the heart or you'll never stop me! Since I'm feeling nice, here's a little hint: a little to your left. 

Overhaul then angrily fires three more shots at Snipe. Despite this, Snipe remains standing. 

Overhaul: Die! Die! Fucking die you son of a.....

But as Overhaul prepares to fire another shot, his rifle clicks. Once he hears the loud click, Snipe takes out the metal sheet from beneath his coat, revealing that all of Overhaul's shot connecting where the heart should be. Snipe then pulls his Revolver and shoots Kurono and the three Shie Hassaikai thugs around Overhaul and then shoots the rifle out of his hands.

Overhaul: Argh!

Snipe then uses his last bullet to free Lady Midnight from the hanging post. Snipe then looks to the frightened Overhaul. 

Snipe: You once said that if a man with the Revolver faces off a man with a rifle, the man with the Revolver is a dead man. Let's put that to the test.

Snipe loads a bullet in his Revolver while Overhaul picks up his Winchester and loads a bullet in it. The two got into position and waited for what seemed like hours. The duel begins and Snipe shoots Overhaul in the head as he fires his shot. The shot misses. When Overhaul is dead, Lady Midnight rushes to Snipe.

Midnight: Thank God you're all right Snipe! Where's Aizawa?

Snipe: I'm afraid he's with his maker.

As Midnight was saddened to hear the news, a voice calls out to Snipe. They turn around to see Stain.

Stain: I was hoping you weren't dead. You and I have a score to settle.

Snipe: Overhaul's dead. The job's over.

Stain: I was hired to kill you. I intend to finish the job, whether my client is dead or not. When that church bell rings, we fire. One bullet each.

Stain then empties his Revolver and loads one bullet. Snipe then loads a bullet in his Revolver and nods at Midnight. She then gets to a safe area. The two Gunslingers then pace around each other. When the bell rings, both fire. Stain misses while Snipe lands a fatal shot onto Stain. As Stain falls to the ground, Snipe walks over to the dying Stain.

Stain: Good......shot......

Snipe: Sorry about that partner......

Stain: Don't....apologize......you won.....fair and square......

Stain then succumbs to his wound, effectively ending the legend of the Phantom Killer. Hours later, the town of Musutafu had been given back to the people and the Shie Hassaikai Gang was gone. Outside the town, Midnight speaks with Snipe.

Midnight: Thank you Snipe.....for everything.

Snipe: It was my pleasure ma'am.

Midnight: Will I see you again?

Snipe: Maybe. Who knows?

The two then kissed goodbye as Snipe rode away from Musutafu. His next destination was Nezu's camp.
