CHAPTER 34 - FOUND
Third Person's POV:
I walked into the secret room where she was tied up and gagged. I could hear the tapping of the chair on the floor as she struggled to free herself while making muffled voices from outside. How could she think she could escape me? The devil. I smirked as I imagined the shock and recognition she'd feel upon seeing me.
I opened the door using my secret key and entered the dimly lighted room. It smelled of foul blood and rotten flesh because of the old dead bodies I had in store. They were my stress relievers, but today I planned to have a different kind of fun.
"You!?" she exclaimed, bewildered. I smirked menacingly at the stunned, pale girl in front of me.
"Yes, me," I replied, laughing, which quickly turned into anger when she spat at me.
"You bloody bitch." I grabbed a handful of her hair roughly and drew her face towards me while clenching her jaw with my free hand. How dare she spat on me? She winced in pain, but her bloodshot gaze remained fixated on me.
"Why did you do this to us?" She asked as she struggled to free herself from my clutches. "Revenge, darling," I replied, tightening my grip.
"You are such a bastard. She will hunt you down," she shouted back at me. I couldn't control myself from silencing her for an eternity. I slit her throat open with a surgical knife. This bitch deserved this.
I took out a fresh mask that had masked devil stamped on it from the old cupboard and left it near her body. I walked out of the room, as I had people to take care of for the rest of the work.

Priya's POV:
This morning, Kashi's body was discovered. It had been two days since she had gone missing. There weren't any hints. Even after searching for forty-eight hours without stopping, I couldn't save her. Her throat had been cut and there were marks around her neck showing strangulation. Her face was mutilated, almost unrecognizable. It was her chain which confirmed my fears. I was torn between the need to be as close to her as I could and the urge to run away and never see the nightmare in front of me again. This was the second time when I am experiencing the same nightmare.
"You can't d-do this to me... You can't abandon m-me like this! Y-you promised me we'd be together for the rest of our lives!"
I screamed and cried, repeating her name in a desperate plea. She couldn't leave me, not this soon. My hands were shaking. Nausea built up in my stomach. I felt dizzy, and I was pretty sure I had been sweating profusely. The only sound I could hear was the endless ringing in my ears. My entire world had collapsed, and it had taken me along with it.
"Excuse me, Ma'am. Let's get you out of here quickly. Then only we can begin with the investigation," someone spoke.
It was all background noise for me. I couldn't hear whoever was speaking. Even if I tried, I couldn't get myself to pay attention. It was as if someone was shouting from a distance. After losing my parents on that fateful night, she was the only person I had left to call family. That night, which happened four years ago, was still fresh in my mind as if it had happened yesterday.
I saw them taking her away from me. I wanted to stand, run, and hold her for just a moment longer. But I couldn't...
My only hope had vanished.
I would never see her again.
I would never listen to her voice again.
Unbearable pain shook my body once more and my eyes welled up with new tears. I buried my face in my hands and screamed, letting all the nameless emotions out into the world for anyone else to deal with. Anyone but me. I clawed at my chest as if I could pull out the wound and forget this ever happened. But I wouldn't dare to forget her. Not after what she'd done for me when I was at my lowest point.
My tears poured at an overwhelming amount. My heart ached to a point where I couldn't breathe. I closed my eyes for a second, but soon enough, darkness covered my consciousness, and I was out cold. I didn't remember when or how I resurfaced.

Third Person's POV:
I stood a mile away and watched everything. Especially watching her breaking down. The pain and hurt she had on her face gave me immense pleasure. I wanted to destroy her, and I returned solely for that purpose. This was just the beginning.
"Priya Mehra, this Karan Ahuja will avenge everything."
