 “Everything is going on as planned,” Devin informed his three accomplices rubbing his hands gleefully. “I’ve received another mail from the two lovebirds and they still not willing to get back!”

Nash smiled indulgently. “Let them enjoy. They’ve well deserved the holidays after the ordeal you have put them through.”

Devin chuckled wickedly. “You’re right. Nash, I think we’d better start planning a second marriage. What do you think of Kyra Hart, Rachel’s best friend?”

Nash’s eyes got as big as a saucer. “The school teacher?”

Devin nodded. “The very one.”

“Fair enough but I’m already telling you that I won’t do it.”

Devin frowned at his best friend and opened his mouth to protest.

“Why not?” Sean asked before Devin could get the words out.

“It’s pretty obvious. I’m already happily married. You imagine me hurting Sue?”

The other two stared at him for a long time and then all three practically howled with laughter.

“Oh God Nash! What a good joke!” Devin gasped between spasms of laughter.

“Sorry,” Nash apologized. “It was too hard to resist. She will be perfect for Ash.”

“My sentiments exactly,” agreed Sean wiping tears of laughter from his eyes. “I wonder what Sue would say to the fact that you were interested?” he then teased.

Nash glared at him. “Don’t you dare!”

“Just joking,” he grinned at him.

“So that’s settled then,” concluded Devin. “We’ll get Ash married to Kyra. But I think we need to think about a new strategy.”

“What was wrong with the old one?” queried both of his friends in unison.

“Well, it was …,” he paused searching for the right word. “It was too obvious. And now that Ashton is already aware of the plan we’ve had for Jake, he will be on his guard. And he will do the exact opposite just to piss us off.”

Sean nodded. “That was what Jake did. He was reluctant to give in mostly because he didn’t want us to be right.”

“Exactly,” approved Devin patting his friend on his back.

“So?” asked Nash. “What’s the plan?”

“So I think we should be more subtle, you know discreet and we make him decide instead of putting him in a tight position. Knowing Ash’s nature. I know he will put up a fight.”

“You are right. He’ll probably fled from the country!”

“Do you have something in mind already?” asked Sean pensively.

“We’ll worry about that later but I can assure you that I’m already concocting something in my genius mind!” Devin said enigmatically.
