Shivaay eyes went to her lips when she crawled herself to his direction. But it didn't turn him on but recalled his first memory of her. His sister Priyanka was a-year-old when his mother who was still a best friend to Anusha trivedi, Anika's mom taken him to their house to meet 3 days old her. Everyone asked her to smile but 3-day-old Anika continued to snuggle in discomfort. But when he and his sister sneaked into the crib. She smiled at him while stretching her hands upwards. Her red-lips and her pink nose started to shine. Seeing her smiling, His sister started to jump while clapping her hands which eventually made her cry and his mom stared at him angrily thinking he was the responsible one. From then, He stopped staying nearer to her. 

Years went, Priyanka had to wait for the next academic years since she was born in August which in-turn made Anika and Priyanka started schooling together and they became inseparable from then like their mothers Anusha and Jhanvi. Anika used to come to their house every single just to broke some of his important things and get an angry glare from him. But he never complained anything to his parents. Even though he didn't accept the fact, Her visit to his house gives soul to the whole house with her giggling and her bad-jokes has a separate fan base. 

He's one who laughs to it but inside his room, He never showed up whenever she was in his house but she never fails to sneak into his room every day. He never needed any entertainment till he finishes his schooling while then Anika was studying third grade along with his sister. He always warned his sister asking her to stay away from him and his room but that warning has never listened. But when his record notebooks and his lab manual were used as paper boats during monsoon, He lost his patience and yelled at her very next second. That's when He saw her crying, But he stopped yelling at her when she started to cry saying sorry to him. He never complained to his parents but eventually got a call from her mother saying sorry on her behalf. And also they gave the phone to her.  

"I am sorry, Shivaay. Hereafter, I won't come to your room."  She said in a crying tone. Anika called him by his name due to his sister who calls him by his name even they have nine years of the age difference. He didn't speak anything but he felt so bad for yelling at her and even he wanted to say sorry but nothing came from his mouth. And also she didn't show up at his house after that. He felt so stressed without her. Her giggles and mischiefs. 

He started missing everything to the core. Over then, He overheard his parent's conversation about anika saying her mother send her to their house just to stop missing her dad so much who was serving in the military. Tej never showed any difference between anika and Priyanka which also came to his vision. When her mothers get late in the hospital, She used to come to their home and play with Priyanka. 

That day, Without any hesitation, He straight-away approached her classroom during lunch hour and most of the children left for lunch but Anika and Priyanka stayed in the class while then. He came inside and took the seat in the front. Anika's face turned off when she saw him over there but Priyanka smiled at him. 

"Anu. What happened?" - He asked her. She didn't reply. 

"Okay, I am sorry! I shouldn't have yelled you like that. But whatever you did also wrong na, Bachcha?" - He said, Priyanka and Anika looked each other shockingly when he called anika as bachcha like Jhanvi and Tej used to call her. 

"I already said sorry, Many times." - Anika said in a low tone. 

"That's why I came here. Why are you coming to our house?" - Shivaay enquired her. Anika stayed silent. 

"Okay, I bought something for you." - Shivaay said taking out two munch chocolates from his pockets. Both Anika and Priyanka got delighted to see it and receive it from him. 

"Hereafter, You will come to our house, Right?" - Shivaay asked her. Anika nodded yes while munching the chocolate all over the face. He smiled at her innocence which was as same as for the next four years till he finishes his engineering in IIT Delhi. He moved into hostel and visits to his home became limited and also whenever he arrives anika won't be there. Chances of seeing her and interacting with her became less with time but whenever he saw her unexpectedly in his house, He acts like quickly rushing into his room and checks everything is fine. Then, He left to London to do his masters. When he comes back, Both of the young ladies finished their twelfth and Anika cracked NEET and JIPMER in her first attempt. 

He was shaken to an extent when he looked upon her smartness for the first time and also witnessing the grown version of her. Priyanka was all set to do her bachelors in St Stephan. Both scored well, And anika reached their home throwing the tantrum to do her medical studies in Pudhucherry all the way in south India. Her mother and her father were against her decision seeking help from her uncle and aunty who indeed supported her parents and asked her to do her studies in Delhi. But surprisingly shivaay took her stand. 

"Anu got qualified in both JIPMER and NEET. And she wanted to study there who are we to stop her dreams? Let her do whatever she wants in her life. At last, She is the one who lives her life in her own terms. If you all believe in her, She will definitely succeed in her life. This is my assurance." - He said and tried convincing her parents as well as his parents who worried more than her parents. He was quite surprised to see her bonding with his parents and also he started noticing her very frequently in his house. The first thing his mother told him when he started his new business in Puducherry was to visit anika frequently in her campus but he never went to her college once. Just because he was busy and also they were not so close then. 

But she was the first person to arrive for his help when he admitted in the hospital for the chest pain which turned out as heart blockage. Anika was doing her first year, But then too, She stayed with him overnight in the hospital along with his friend Omkara, He was not in a conscious state to notice her and also come to know, Her mother helped him and his whole family during that time. He was successfully operated even there was 30% of chance to get him alive. And also she was the person who stayed with him overnight when none of his family members was allowed inside. He was admitted in her mother's hospital in Delhi. With everyone's help and prayers, He came back home alright. And also he started to notice her and also asked her mother's second opinion in everything. The only thing he didn't ask anyone's opinion was accepting his business partner Tia Sharma's proposal for marriage.

His chain of thoughts stopped but a sudden thud of her hand in his chest relieved him from the heartache he got while before thinking about Tia and also he didn't realize when he slept next to her holding her palm tightly. He woke up from the deep sleep when a droplets of water splashed in his face. She was standing in front of the mirror tying her wet hair to a messy hair bun and getting ready in a hurry. For a second, He forgot whether it was same girl who he knew from her birth seeing her face from the backwards. He sat up on the bed and looked at her confusingly while checking the time. It was just 7.30 in the morning. 

"Anu. Are you going some where?" - He asked her when she failed to notice him. 

"Shivaay, You woke up. I am sorry, I didn't want to disturb you." - She said walking towards him. She checking his temperature and heaved out a deep breath in relaxation. 

"I am fine. Tell me where are you going right now?" - He asked her in a hesitant tone. 

"Mock test, Shivaay. I have to attend. Also my things are there in hostel. If I reach in time, I will prepare something for the test. That's why leaving early. You sleep. I will take Autoriksha to reach. It's just 20 minutes away." - Anika said in one go. He nodded to her and got up from the bed. 

"Don't take cab! I will drop you! Give me a minute." - He said walking towards the washroom. 

"Shivaay, It's okay. You're not well." - She replied. but he didn't reply to anything went into the washroom returned dressed up in the next ten minutes. 

"Shall we?" - He asked taking out his keys. Anika nodded and took her bag to leave with him. 

"When are you planing to vacate?" - He asked. 

"Today evening, I think. But I didn't apply for vacating, Yet." - She said. 

"How many weeks left for finals?" - He asked her. 

"Six weeks!" - She replied. 

"Okay! All the best for your mock tests. Don't hesitate to call me if you need any help, Okay. baccha. Wait, Do have my phone number?" - He asked her. She looked at him for a while when he called her baccha she couldn't recognize anything  for a while but she managed to unnotice it and nodded no to him. He told his number and Anika gave missed call to his phone. And they arrived to the hospital, Shivaay left her in the entrance and waved her bye, She smilingly waved him back.
