5 years old Marinette

Mama and papa took me to the park . They said that today , we were going to have a picnic. I love picnics!It was also good , because my friends Alya and Nino were coming with me.

While mama and papa set the blanket , we played ball . I was having so much fun! But it made me sad because I saw a boy who looked sad. I went near him.

"Do you want to join us ?", I asked.

He looked confused, but then he smiled.

"Okay!"

We played different games , then a beautiful lady went to us .

"Adrien! There you are , I was looking for you!"

He looked at the ground, "sorry mama."

She smiled and picked him up.

"It's good that you are making friends , but tell me where you are going next time."

He nodded. "These are my new friends mama . That is Alya , Nino and Mari ."

She smiled kindly at us.

"It's nice to meet you , but Adrien, we have to go , your papa has somewhere to go ."

Adrien pouted , "again?"

She nodded . "Say goodbye Adrien."

He turned to us , " bye guys ."

"Bye !"

We started playing again and my parents called us , saying that it was time to eat.

"Who was that boy you were playing with?", asked mama.

"A new friend.", I said .

"Well that's good to hear ." , said papa .

Alya and Nino were eating so fast . And I was too. After eating , I felt so sleepy. We dropped Alya and Nino home first. And papa carried me to my room.

"Papa?"

"Hmm?"

"How did you and mama meet ?"

They looked at me uncomfortable. "Because of our marks , sweetie.", mama said.

"What marks?", I asked.

They rolled up their sleeves and I saw words. On mama's it has T.D. On papa's it has S.C.

" the mark will give you the initials of your soulmate and whoever it is , that is who you are going to spend your entire life with.", papa said .

"Do you think Adrien is my soulmate?"

Papa looked white when I asked that.

"Let's just wait and see , good night princess."

"Night mama , night papa."

The next morning

I am so excited! Today is the first day at school . I am bringing some food for every one to share. I was even wearing my lucky outfit.

I grabbed my bag and ran down to wait for papa to take me to school. I hope Alya , Nino and Adrien is in my class.

We went to school early and some of my classmates and the teacher was already there. The teacher went up to me and papa.

"Hello there, my name is miss Joy , I'm your teacher , what's your name little one?"

I waved at her behind papa ." Marinette."

"Wow , that is a beautiful name , why don't you come in and introduce yourself to the class."

I looked up at papa.

"Go ahead Marinette."

I nodded and took the bag of cookies and went in. I introduced myself and gave them all cookies. They were really nice except for a girl . She said that I looked ugly and that the cookies tasted like dirt.

I was sad , but papa told me not to mind her. Mama said that if someone is mean to me , I shouldn't be mean to them because then , I'll be a bad girl . And I don't want to be a bad girl.

Alya came in . And she wore the outfit that I bought for her for her birthday.

"Alya!"

"Mari!"

We talked and played , but then it was bell. I was sad . Nino and Alya was here but Adrien wasn't . Will I ever see him again?

It was already break time and Adrien wasn't here and that mean girl Chloe was making fun of me just because I brought my stuffed cat. I ran to the other side of the play ground. Why is she so mean.

"Mari? Don't cry."

I looked up. It was Adrien.

"Adrien! You're here!"

"Yeah , my dad didn't want me to go to school, but mama let me. Why are you crying?", he asked.

"A girl was being mean to me.", I said.

"Don't cry here, I picked some flowers for my mom , but you can have this one."

He gave me a white flower . It was so pretty.

"Thank you Adrien, you're my best friend."

"And you're mine Mari. I like your dress , you look like a princess."

"Thank you."

"If you're the princess, I'll be your knight."

I felt my cheeks burn , why was it hot?

When it was time to go home, I said goodbye to my friends . I was still holding the flower Adrien gave me.

"Where did you get that flower Marinette?", asked mama.

"Adrien gave it to me."

"What ?! "

"I said he gave it to me papa."

Papa looked scared and mama looked happy . Why was that?
