With a nice long and talkative walk with them (y/n) and Company finally began to see the Cliff's coming into sight as they all sighed in relief.

" Finally." (y/n) said with a slight chuckle before turning to the others " You guys holding up okay?" He asked. Gloria nodded before adjusting his scarf while Nathan just gave thumbs up and nodded along, while Cole was chugging from a flask. " Uhh..Cole?" 

The cloaked man wiped his lips as he sighed in peace." Yeah I'm good. Thanks for asking as Nathan stepped closer and looked at the flask and took a quick sniff... " Is that Whiskey? " He said with a hopeful tone.

" Who's asking? " Cole said with a raised eyebrow to which Nathan let out a chuckle. " One who would marry the drink if it were legal!" He said to which Cole smirked. " Then yes fellow lover, of Whiskey." Cole said as he handed Nathan his flask to who which drank through the mask without a problem

Gloria sighed before mumbling to himself to which(y/n) walked over and patted his back " Relax, least their getting along and not fighting." he said to which Gloria looked up and gave a small smile for only a second. " Fair point. If we do end up being a team together these four years might be a lot more easier." 

" And fun."(y/n) said with a smirk.

"...That too." Gloria said in a hushed tone as he returned the smile once more. " Now let's get going to the cliff right?, It isn't going to climb itself." Gloria giggled before beginning to walk ahead of the others.

" Hey Gloria wait up man!" Nathan said as he rushed ahead to chase after his partner leaving (y/n) with his own. 

" Those two are complete opposites." Cole started " But that's a good thing, They'll have each others back in the future.." Cole said as he watched them run off.(y/n) nodded his head. " They'll get to be better when Gloria warms up to Nate." 

" True but let's save the philosophy shit here and after we climb this cliff right?" (y/n)'s partner said as(y/n) nodded his head before him and Cole walked towards said cliff. 

When they both got there Gloria was quickly already half way up through climbing rocks while Nathan was using his weapons as a foot still switching over to Wilted Rose and jabbing it into the cliff side, while grabbing his knifes and doing the same, crating a foothold, then re-summoning Wilted Rose once more and repeating the process. 

" Crafty bunch. But it's a shame I'll beat them to the top." Cole said as he shifted in his stop and reached around in his cloak " What makes you so sure? "(y/n) asked as he brought out his pole and beginning to shift it into two climbing picks and started to climb his way up as Cole stayed at the bottom. 

While the others continued their climb for a few more minutes, There was what sounded like an explosion bellow them all as they looked down at what it was before they saw a black blur speeding up past them and up towards the ledge of the cliff. 

" Was that who I think it was?" Gloria asked as(y/n) nodded " Yeah. He did say he would beat us to the top." Nathan shook his head." What a cheater." They all chuckled once more before continuing the climb.

After another few minutes, they all reached the the top to see Cole relaxing against a tree who waved to them, as he began to walk to them.

" Were you the one to cause that explosion below us? " Gloria asked as Cole nodded in return " How? " " Through an old trick I love to do, but that's trade secret~" He replied before A bullhead pulled over head and land.

" Anyways, let's get out of here, I'm hungry from all that fighting."(y/n) said before walking ahead and his team joining him, they all boarded with no problem as they were soon joined by other teams who had finished like them.

[ Timeskip to Beacon Assembly Hall.]

Within the hour all the students were now in the assembly hall as Professor Ozpin was now giving a speech and showing the teams that had been formed, commenting on teamwork and what pieces that chose. 

Through a quick observation on (y/n)'s part smirked as he looked over to his partner who had a looked back. " You figure it out too?" Cole asked to which(y/n) nodded. " Seems we're  going to have a good team this year. Well next four years." 

Thought what caught(y/n)'s ear was Ozpin calling up Ruby, turning to see her and her sister joined with Weiss, Blake, making team RWBY...Clever. Pushing his sarcastic thoughts aside and as RWBY made their way down from the stage Ozpin looked over to him and Cole then Nathan an Gloria.

" Would (y/n) (l/n), Cole Solomon, Nathan Montroy, and Gloria Notita please make their way to the stage." With a smirk they all made their way towards the stage and standing next to the Professor.

" You four showed that during you exam, you should not that you fight well on your own, but even more so that all four of you have learnt what's the most important in a team. Bonds, this was evident while you four made your ways back and forth to the cliff's. I only await to see how your future teamwork can help with this word's endeavor." 

As the Ozpin spoke many clips of them fighting off the horde or Beowolfs and climbing the cliff's could be seen in the background as he continued. 

" Since you all seemed equally well level headed, I could not nominate who would be the team's leader, so I'll ask the four of you...Who do you think deserves to be the leader? " Ozpin said as he looked to the group and all eyes were on(y/n)  within seconds who blushed before scratching his head. " W-Well..I guess I can sir." He said as Ozpin nodded with a small smirk.

" This from this moment on (y/n) (l/n) is the leader of (l/n)SMN, Congratulations Gentlemen."  Ozpin finished as a crowd cheered before(y/n) was lifted off his feet by the others who had cocky grins on their faces, before they began to carry him off stage " G-Guys, you can put me down!" He said almost worried as they were going to drop him. 

" No! " They shouted in unison as(y/n) looked around to all the cheering faces, before he took a deep breath and relaxed, seeing Team RWBY coming into view they slowly carried and dropped(y/n) onto his feet in front of said team before he dusted himself off and was about to speak before two pairs of arms wrapped around him and giggling could be heard.

Yang and Ruby were quickly hugging him to death as he gasped for air. After letting go and gasping for air,(y/n) sighed " You two need to cut back on that. Could kill an Ursa with that grip." 

" Yeah well we're just so happy can you blame us!?" Ruby said sounding a bit hyped up as Yang smirked at(y/n) before looking to the team behind him " So, are you going to introduce us to your friends? " She asked as(y/n) nodded and stepped aside. 

" Team RWBY, meet SMN, although we just met, things have been great." He said as Nathan removed his mask and reveling his short dirty blonde hair and rising and eyebrow at her to which the Blonde Bombshell purred and growled lightly back, " Well howdy hot stuff~ " She said as Nathan smirk grew bigger. " Hiya Bombshell~" 

" I hear wedding bells already." Cole said before taking a sip from his flask and closing his eyes to which Gloria shook his head at the two's behavior  " Shush Cole." Nathan said as he didn't break eye contact.

" Moving ON"(y/n) said as Nathan shook his head. " Right. " 

" Nathan Montroy. and Ex-Mercenary from Vacuo, Lovely to meet you all, and I hope we can get to know each other better in the future~" He finished as he gave Yang one last wink before Gloria stepped in front of him.

" While you'll have to excuse my brute of a teammate, I am Gloria Notita, while I am a bit...Cold at first, I'll try my best to get along with you..So please bear with me...Thank you." He said as he turned around and walked off. Leaving only Cole. 

" Oh shit my turn...Well I'm Cole Solomon, a wandering gentlemen who hopes to help you in anyway shape or form. So please, if you ever need anything. Just ask and I'll come running." He said before bowing with one arm raised behind his back before walking back next to(y/n).

" Well(y/n), you certainly have quite the cast for a team." Ruby said with a smile before turning to her team. " Our turn!" She said before stepping forward.

" Ruby Rose!, Team leader of RWBY and huntress in training, I love cookies and always seeing new weapons!, nice to meet you all!" Ruby said with the usual hyper tone as her sister playfully shoved her aside and took the spotlight.

" Well boy's the Names Yang Xiao Long, feel free to gawk and stare as I leave you starstruck, after all, this exam did start with a yang~" She finished before walking off with a wink, leaving Weiss up to bat.

" Ahem. I am Weiss Schnee, Heiress of the Schnee Dust Company, so you do best to remember that." She said quiet bluntly but not in a harsh tone surprisingly though why she did walk away, she glared at Nathan for a split second. Leaving Blake, who had been quiet up until then.

" Oh..Well I'm Blake Belladonna, I'm not that very social so...Yeah." She said as she blushed and stuck her head into a book and walked back.

" Well this has been amazing, Thank you girls, but if you need us, we'll be heading to our dorms." Cole said as he smiled sweetly at them before bowing once more and beginning to walk out of the hall. " Good day. "

" We better join him, don't want to get to lost on our first day do we? " Nathan said as Gloria nodded in return. " Finally you say something reasonable for once." He said before following Cole, Nathan doing the same shortly after.

" Well(y/n), what do you think? " Ruby asked as she walked to his side. with a small smile. 

"..There everything I could ask for." He smiled in return before looking to Blake and smirked, " Though I just remembered something Rubes. I'll talk to you later." He waved goodbye as Ruby returned the wave,(y/n)  began to rush over to his team and stopped them.

" Hey guys. I gotta go do something. is it alright if I dip for a few?" He said as they all nodded." Sure man, totally fine."  " Take it easy!" They replied before he nodded and ran out of the hall, heading to the tree him and Blake had agreed to met at.

Seeing the setting sun and the wind blowing through his hair,(y/n) sat down on the grass with his back to the bark of the tree and he began to watch the sun, passing the time. until eventually he heard the soft crunching of footsteps behind him as he turned and saw the girl he was waiting for.

" Hey." She said as she sat across from him book in hand. 

" Hey...So, You happy with the team your on?"he asked as he looked up to the sky and smiled. " I am with mine." He was trying to set the mood.

" Yeah...They seem good enough...Though I bit loud for my taste, but it's just the first day." She shrugged as she opened a book and began to turn the pages slowly as they remained silent, not one of awkward, but more so enjoying each other's company without exchanging words. That was until Blake spoke up.

"(y/n)...Have we meet before? " Blake asked as (y/n) realized that she did seem familiar when he first saw her with Ruby. " No...I don't think we have Blake." He said as he turned to her before speaking up once more. " Though I do feel as if I know you somehow as well." 

Blake thought to herself for a moment before shaking her head. " It might just be me over thinking things..Sorry." She said as she looked down at her book. " It's fine Blake, I'm just happy to spend some time with a friend. That isn't hyped. " He chuckled softly as she joined in too.

" Thanks(y/n)...The same can be said for you. I look forward to study here." Blake said as she leaned back and the sky's began to darken, before they both silently got up. " So think we could do this again sometime? "(y/n) asked as he turned to her and she nodded.  " I would love to." She smiled back before they both walked back to their dorms(y/n) was somewhat happy that he could find something to do..With someone so cute...Wait what?, w-whatever.

Anyways, debate thoughts aside for now,(y/n) walked into the dorm that had their teams name on it and opened the door entering the room as his teammates were just doing their own thing.

Nathan was polishing off his buster sword as he hummed to himself, now out his armor and wearing a black and red plaid covering another black shirt and finishing it off with some blue jeans and his regular combat boots.

Cole acutally had his cloak off for once, having a dark blue T-shirt with some black sweat pants as he was appearing to be sowing his cloak, needle in hand as he seemed to be going at a pace showing that he knew what he was doing. He hummed to himself softly as he seemed to be singing something in his head.

Gloria could be seen fiddling with a note pad, writing down at a quickened pace before pausing and picking up again, still in his clothes from when the exams began, must be his casual wear too. Seeing they were all Busy, (y/n) walked to his own bed as the room was quiet big considering the number of them

When he laid down a nasty thought popped into his head as he sighed. While none of his team new he was a Faunus even a EX-White-Fang member, he knew he'd have to tell them at one point as their leader and friend. There was a lot more riding on this then he had originally thought.

He shook his head as he eyes felt heaver and his breaths began to slow, as he got comfy in bed, and slowly began to close his eyes...Drifting off into a sweet world of slumber, letting all his worries go away...
