Chapter 18 (Edited)
I dodged an attack that the thing had done, only to be pulled back towards the area that I had been in. I yelped at this razor like thing dug into my leg, and I didn't even know how to get it off. "What the fuck!?" I exclaimed while I was lifted up into the air. "What the hell are you?" I wrenched my body around and snarled, trying to get off.
The creature chuckled. "It didn't take you that long to figure out that I wasn't human," it said.
"No shit, Sherlock," I replied, sarcastically, pausing in my struggling. My face was red from the fact that blood was rushing through my body, and I could feel the pain of the sword or whatever was in my leg. "If you were, then I wouldn't have this- oomph." I growled when the thing threw me into a wall, making me hit my back.
"Now, now," the voice tisked, "it will be wise of you not to use such vulgar language." The figure moved again, causing me to back up and away from the razor blade tail..?
I bit back a scoff. "So, what are you?" I asked. "And the hel- heck am I supposed to be doing?" I quickly changed what I was going to say, not wanting that thing to dig into my leg.
"Getting past me and to your sword piece." There was a 'duh' tone in it's voice, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes. "Yet, no one has gotten past me before."
"Mmmhmm," I replied, sarcastically. I hated going blind, but I knew that I was going to have to. I dodged another attack by the thing and making sure that I didn't get injured by its razor sharp tail.
The thing chuckled and moved to the right.
I didn't know how I knew this, but I knew that the thing was going to try to trick me and actually go to the left, while using it's tail to the right. I faked a left before moving quickly to the right and ducked under her tail.
Using all the training and none of the speed that I possessed as a Werewolf, I was able to jump onto the the thing's back. In my hand was the knife that I had strapped to my leg, and I placed it on it's neck.
I was an Alpha, even without the contact of my Wolf Spirit. I was used to people submitting and respecting me, even if they were from a different pack.
The thing started to lash around, digging it's claws into my thighs. "I thought you all weren't supposed to have knives on you," it cried. "Why are you doing this?"
"Submit," I said, and I knew that I would be growling if I had been capable of. I didn't care about how slimy the thing felt, but I knew that I was going to have to take a shower before I did go home. "Submit, and I will let you go." Warning filled my voice, because I wasn't going to go down with a fight.
The thing sighed and submitted. "This is why I don't like dealing with Alphas," it muttered. "Females are the worst."
I got off of the thing's back just as the lights turned on, and I could feel my strength returning. I blinked at the harsh light before raising an eyebrow when I looked at the thing before me.
The thing looked like a worm and a skeleton had sex and then had a baby. It, basically, looked hideous. Instead of legs, the thing had a tail with a razor sharp point on it. Sure, it had a face, but there was as if the face had rotted off, and I was sure that it had been a female.
"The frown doesn't make you look attractive," I said, eyeing the black holes that were on it's face. I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow when the lips lifted into a smile before looking into it's black eyes.
"You have such a way with words," it replied. "And I'm a female. We have those things to..." She shrugged. "You wouldn't want to know." She snapped her fingers, and I was glad that I wasn't hurting as I had before.
"You will be a good Shandhi," she commented. "Better than your great-grandmother." She smirked. "She had only gotten a couple of punches in but without a knife." She glared at it, and I couldn't help but scoff and roll my eyes.
"You said so yourself, I'm an Alpha. I'm used to being prepared in situations."
The female nodded. "Now, that you did defeat me and get "pass" me, I think it's time for you to give you this." She held out her hand and a hilt magically appeared in it. She handed to me, and from the mark burning on my wrist, I knew that it was one of the sword pieces. "Good luck." With that, everything disappeared.
