Ch. 1: Return of the Storm

Nearly four months have passed since the Hargeon Port incident. Since then, Fairy Tail has had many events transpire among it and its members.

One of—if not THE strongest team in Fairy Tail history had been formed. Natsu Dragneel, Fairy Tail's resident Fire Dragon Slayer. Lucy Heartfilia, Celestial Wizard and newest recruit courtesy of Natsu's invitation. Gray Fullbuster, Ice-Make Wizard, and rival to Natsu. Erza Scarlet, Fairy Tail's Titania, S-Class Wizard, and strongest woman within the Guild. And Happy, the flying cat. Once this powerful team formed, it wasn't long before they were wrapped up in all types of incidents and shenanigans.

The Dark Guild, Eizanwald was the first to fall. Having concocted a plan to kill the Guild Masters with a Magic Flute cursed with Death Magic by the Black Wizard Zeref, Natsu and his friends managed to put a stop to their plans. The Guild was disbanded and members were either arrested or reformed.

Shortly after, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy took on an S-Class job without permission after the pyromancer and cat were taunted by Laxus, a Lighting Wizard and S-Class Wizard. Having been followed by Gray and Erza, they were tasked to remove a supposed curse from Galuna Island. The people seemed to be cursed to turn from humans into demons. However, within the depths of the island was a demon from Gray's past. The demon Deliora, who was sealed within a case of Ice by his Master Ur, and was the target of Lyon Vastia, his old friend and rival turned enemy. The Seal was destroyed along with Deliora, as well as the supposed curse that loomed above the island, which simply erased the memories of the inhabitants of them being demons the whole time.

Upon returning home, they found that their Guildhall was destroyed and in ruins, courtesy of a rival Guild, Phantom Lord. Eventually, having attacked and brutalized three of their members, Jet, Droy, and Levy Mcgarden, out of nowhere, the Guilds went to war. However, this was all a ploy to capture Lucy Heartfilia, who was the daughter of business tycoon Jude Heartfilia, who had hired Phantom Lord to return his daughter to him, by force if necessary. Fairy Tail refused to hand over their precious friend and comrade, which resulted in Phantom Lord's Master, Jose Porla order the Fairy Tail Guild be executed. Natsu faced off against Phantom Lord's S-Class wizard and fellow Dragon Slayer, Black Steel Gajeel Redfox, the Iron Dragon Slayer. After the dire battle, Fairy Tail emerged victorious. However, having lost their home, Lucy returned home to confront her father, ensuring that he'd know that if he ever tried to attack Fairy again again, they, along with her, would retaliate with force of their own. Thus, cutting all ties with her father once and for all.

Amidst the rebuilding of the Guild Hall, Natsu and his friends are invited for a vacation at Akane Resort, where in lies a trap for Erza, courtesy of her old friends she was forced to abandon when she left her life as a slave from the Tower of Heaven. Having been forced back with the lives of her new friends and family hanging in the balance, she returned to her former prison with intention of being a sacrifice by Jellal Fernandes, one of Ezra's closest friends during her time as a slave turned maniacal madman. Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Happy, and new ally Juvia Lockser, travel to the Tower of Heaven in hopes of saving their friend. Climbing and battling their way through, they manage to rescue Erza, rescuing those who were mislead by Jellal, though mourned the loss of one man who fell protecting Erza, Simon. Even after being invited to join Fairy Tail, Wally, Shô, and Milliana decide to leave in the dead of night, only to be stopped by Erza and her new family to bid them a proper Fairy Fail farewell. Though parting a such sweet sorrow, the tortured souls were finally free to live their own lives.

Having returned home, Natsu and his cram were met with a completely overhauled and finished Fairy Tail Guildhall. Along with new members, Juvia and Gajeel, who was invited on behalf of Makarov as a chance to redeem himself and start a better life for himself. However, as time for the annual Magnolia Harvest Festival slowly approached, one member had grown sick and tired of all the camaraderie and laxness of the Guild, and had concocted a plan to force a change. They day of the Miss Fairy Tail contest arrived, and all was well until Evergreen turned the competition to stone, as part of the plan formed by Laxus Dreyer. Forcing Master Makarov to either resign and hand the title of Guild Master to him or force those remaining to compete in the Fairy Tail Battle Royal to save those petrified. Enchantments we're set all over the city, courtesy of Freed Justine, a member of Laxus' personal guard, the Thunder Legion, forced members to battle each other if they wished to escape and proceed their search for him. One by one they began to fall, until Laxus brought out his trump card. Which brings us...to now...

3rd Person POV

Outside Magnolia, within the canyons leading to the city, a young hooded traveler made his way. along with a floating ball of light by his side.

"It's so HOOOOOOOOOT!!!"

"To be fair, you are wearing a really thick looking coat in the middel of a heat wave." He reminded.

"Hey, I take my appearance very seriously! Being THIS stylish takes sacrifice. I can't help it if I'm such a smooth criminal...A smooth criminal who's about to retire because it's too. HOT!!!" She screamed.

The traveler couldn't help but chuckle, though felt somewhat bad. "Hang in there, we're almost there!" The bluenette assured.

"I don't think I can keep going! I'm so tired! My poor little wings are getting sore!" The light complained.

'It's not even that hot...Though, I have been using wind and ice magic to keep myself cool since we got off the train.' He thought.

"You just HAD to hop of the nicely air conditioned train didn't you? You just HAD to help some random stranger off the side of the road."

"They were being attacked by bandits, if I saw it and didn't do anything about it I'd never live with myself!" He defended.

The small light sighed, understanding but still upset. "If I burn up and plop to the ground, I'll come back as a ghost and haunt you..." She threatened.

"If you need to, you can hide in my hood. Should keep you out of the sun at least."

"Say less!!" The ball of light zipped inside the hoodie, and let out a contented sigh of relief. "Much better~" She said, taking in coolness he was radiating and his scent. "Hmm~ You smell nice."

"Yeah, the last place we stayed at had really nice shampoo, huh?" He replied.

The small creature removed her glasses and started fidgeting with them. "I think I need to change the tint of my shades, they really haven't been working for me here." She contemplated, changing her sunglasses' lens color with magic, putting them back on and looking content. "There we go. So, you excited to see you friends again? If I recall, it's been a while since you've seen them."

"Yeah, been quite a few months. I mean, I saw Natsu and Happy about 4 months ago, but thing's have been so busy since then. It'll be nice to visit the guild and hang out with anyone again!" He smiled, happy and excited.

The little figure giggled. "There's supposed to be a Harvest Festival thing going on too, right? What's that like?"

The traveler pondered in reflection. "Well, I've only seen it maybe only twice. But it's filled with food stalls, games, all kinds of stuff. And at the end, the Guild holds a massive parade. It was really cool to watch!"

"You never participated? What, you get stage fright?" The little light teased.

"Nah, nothing like that. I'm not an official member, so I can't participate." He explained.

"Ah. Yeah, that tracks."

Rounding a corner of a cliff, the traveler stared out over the massive town connected to the ocean. "There it is! The Merchant Town, Magnolia."

"Aww nice! Talk about a view!" The little light chirped.

The closer the two approached the town, the traveler noticed multiple bursts of magic energy, all going off at different parts of the town. "What the?"

"You felt that too, huh?"

"Kind of hard not too. What the heck's going on?" Approaching closer, he felt the presence of another magic energy emanating from the ground. Kneeling down, he touched the ground and released a bit of his magic energy, revealing an ancient text stretching far and wide along the ground.

"Looks like Enchantment magic." Said the little light, coming out of the hood to examine further. "Seems like it's meant to keep people inside. And not just anyone, members of Fairy Tail specifically."

"Can you dispel it?" He asked.

"Is the sky blue?" The light asked rhetorically with a light chuckle. "Give me a second."

As the ball of light flew back and forth along some of the text, the young traveler noticed something in the distance. Looking up, his face turned pale.

"Got it!"

The enchantment surrounding magnolia uprooted from the ground and broke apart, deactivating the seal.

"Whoever made that Enchantment was really clever. It was kind of hard, but still nothing I could solve! Up top!" The light cheered, hovering closer to the shocked looking traveler. "Come on man, don't leave me hangin'."

"Hey uh...Any idea what those are?" He asked, referring to the massive array of floating orbs in the sky directly above Magnolia. He summoned whirlwinds within his hands and under his feet and took to the sky, the little light following right beside him. The two reached the orb and immediately began examining it. "Is that...lightning magic inside?"

"Looks like lightning lacrima. But not just any lightning lacrima." Claimed the light. "These lacrima have Body Link Magic imbued in it. If these things were attacked or destroyed, the one who destroyed it would feel that same amount of power shocked right back at them. It seems like they're set up to be triggered with a mental link. Whoever set this up...I think they're planning to utterly demolish Magnolia in an instant. And I don't mean reduced to rubble or ruin. Reduced to ashes. Wiped off the map." She explained with dread.

The traveler's face grew stern, having an idea who could be behind all this. Given the design and properties of the lacrima, it left him with only one possible culprit, though he prayed he was wrong. Hoped it wasn't true.

"You know who did this...Don't you?" She asked, telling from the look on his face.

"...I think so." He said, his expression softened as his own plan began to brew. He looked deeper at the lacrima, placing a hand on it and feeling the magic energy inside. "Hey, can the properties of these lacrima be changed? Like, the elemental properties?"

The small light flew around the lacrima, pondering the possibility. "That's...an extremely risky endeavor. But...if you destroy the lacrima, you'll be triggering it's Body Link magic, so you'd have to infuse enough magic energy of the different element in it the split-second you make contact." She said, hovering back to the young man, looking at the young man's face under the hood, seeing the look in his eyes. "I know that look. So...what's the plan?"

The bluenette turned the dial of his ring to the third and final engraving, his magic energy released and engulfed him as he flew back a bit to gain some distance. Tightening his backpack to his person, he glared at the lacrima. "...Payback."

He shot forward and slammed into the lacrima, adding an element of ice into the lightning magic inside. He continued to do this to every single one of the lacrima in the sky, shattering, changing, and triggering them as he flew around at incredible speeds, picking up the countering lightning bolts as he flew. 'I know I sensed him somewhere. Now where...' He looked around for the specific presence, finding it within Kardia Cathedral in the middle of town, along with three other presences. "Got you!"

Kardia Cathedral

Natsu was grounded, recovering from a brutal blow from the lightning-meister Laxus as Erza faced off against her fellow S-Class wizard in her Black Wing Armor.

"Alright Laxus, what have you put in the sky?! Tell me, now!!" She demanded answers.

Laxus simply smiled. "What? Ya haven't heard? That would be my Thunder Palace." He declared with a twisted confidence.

"You're absolutly despicable! To think you would attack your home town!!" Erza seethed.

Laxus simply laughed at Erza's rising anger. "Honestly, it breaks my heart. But that's just the way the game is played, Dollface!" He chuckled.

"Damn you!!" Erza roared swinging a kick to the man's face, only to be caught with ease.

"There's only two minutes to go." He informed.

Erza looked to Natsu. "Go! Destroy them now, Natsu!" She ordered.

"I can't, okay?!" He roared back. "If I attack those things I know they're just gonna zap me right back!!" He informed.

Erza looked back to Laxus, further infuriated. "Seriously?! You're using Body Link Magic to protect them?!"

"Yeah! And they're gonna stay up there until I give the order to blow!!" He declared.

"YOU COWARD!!!"

Without hesitation, Laxus unleashed a massive bolt of lightning on the knight, tossing her away. "It's a shame you won't be around to see it!!"

Erza managed to use her Requip Magic before being shocked and tossed away. Leaping back, she dispelled the lightning and light surrounding her and revealed herself in a different armament.

"Ha! Lightning Empress Armor? Nice try, but it's not gonna protect you from my attack!" Said the lightning-meister before sending a wave of lightning at her, only to miss as she jumped up high.

"Now that we're using the same magic, it's a fair fight!" She declared, spinning her staff and unleashing her own bolt of lightning, but misses as Laxus turned into lightning and flew away. Landing, she summoned a barrier around herself to protect against his next attack.

"Let's see if your armor can handle THIS!!" He launched two bolts of lightning, only for them to be deflected. "Still standin', huh?" He feigned surprised.

"When two wizards do battle using the same type of magic, many different factors determine the victor." Erza declared.

"Their level of magic energy, technique, and experience. Right?"

"One more. Their heart! I know the Master taught you that, Laxus!"

"Yeah, he mentioned it. But he also taught me power trumps everything else."

"...You couldn't be more wrong!" Erza denied, readying her spear.

Natsu managed to get back up on his feet, his right arm still sore from the earlier beating. "Erza--!"

The sound of shattering glass startled the three wizards. Looking up, they saw a familiar blue-haired young man descend through the shattered window, landing in the middle of the floor glaring at Laxus.

"...Kadoc?" Erza stares, utterly surprised from the young traveler's sudden appearance.

Natsu smiled. "Oh heck, yeah! Good to see ya, buddy!!"

Laxus looked down at Kadoc, his ever-present cocky smile platered on his face. "Well well. If it isn't Fairy Tail's resident mangy stray." He chuckled.

"...The lacrima in the sky...Those were your doing?" Kadoc asked, his tone cold and dark.

The S-Class wizard chuckled. "You mean the Thunder Palace? Yeah, that's mine--"

Without hesitation, Kadoc summoned two axes made of ice, bound together by an ice chain and rushed at the lightning-meister.

Laxus jumped, throwing a few bolts at him, only to miss as he evaded. 'He dodged them?!'

Kadoc threw his chained axes at Laxus, constricting his upper body and holding him back. He slid on the ground down between his leg, and encased his feet in ice.

The lightning wizard simply looked back and scoffed, breaking his bindings with ease. "Was that actually supposed to do something?"

Kadoc stood, his back still turned to the man who towered over him. "...Yeah. It's called a distraction."

Laxus, confused for a moment, quickly turned back behind him, only to be met with a massive bolt of pale blue lightning crashing into him. He grunted in pain, eventually screaming.

Erza and Natsu looked utterly baffled by the damage Laxus was taking.

"Wait, is he getting hurt by that? I thought lightning had no effect on him!" Natsu questioned, utterly confused.

Erza looked closer, seeing something spreading on her fellow S-Class Wizard. "No! Look closer! It's not just the lightning. It's frost!"

The bolt that had struck Laxus was a massive streaming bolt of freezing-lightning, creating a sheet of frost on Laxus' body that froze him inside and out. It eventually stopped, causing Laxus to pant heavily from the freezing cold bolt of lightning.

"You little...!!" He snarled, swinging his arm back, only to miss as Kadoc leapt backward, summoning a bow made of wind, pulling back and shaping a large lance-shaped arrow of wind before firing it, blasting Laxus back into the wall.

The lightning-meister roared blasting the rubble off him, stepping out of the crack in the wall. "The hell was that?! What'd you just hit me with?!"

"Something you set up, just altered slightly so you'd feel it." He claimed, confusing Laxus. "The text above you should explain."

Laxus looked up, seeing the hovering violet text. Reading it, his eyes went wide. "The Thunder Palace...Suspended?"

Natsu and Erza were visibly shaken once they heard Laxus' claim.

"That's what I hit you with. All that lightning magic you stored inside those lacrima, just altered slightly with ice magic so you'd get a small taste of your own handywork." Kadoc explained.

"Kadoc, that was incredibly reckless!! What would've happened if that didn't work?!" Erza scolded.

"Honey, I totally get it. But once I told him the possibility, he just charged headfirst into each and every one of them." Claimed the small light, arriving and flying near the two wizards. The light faded away and revealed a small humanoid creature with wings. Dressed in a luscious fur coat and heart shaped sunglasses on her brunette bob-cut.

"WHAT THE HECK?!" Natsu exclaimed.

"No way...Are you...A fairy?" The knight asked.

"Sorry red, but nah. Flattered you think so, but I understand the confusion. I'm a pixie. Name's Lyla. I'm with the shortie over there." Said the pixie, referring to Kadoc, who heard her jab about his height.

"I HEARD THAT, LYLA!!!" He snapped back.

"Grow a few more inches and I won't call you that anymore." She teased.

"I'M NOT EVEN THAT SHORT!!!"

"You're 5 ft 4, hun. Some would say that a little on the short side."

"Man, Whatever. What do you know? You're the smallest one here!!"

"I'm actually pretty tall by Pixie standards." She defended, growing ever more amused by how flustered Kadoc was growing from her jabs and teasing.

Kadoc huffed, returning his attention to Laxus, who was just standing there shaking. "Whatever you were planning, it's over. Stand down. I don't want to hurt you, Laxus."

"DON'T GET AHEAD OF YOURSELF YOU LITTLE SHIT!!! CATCHING ME OFF GUARD ISN'T GONNA HELP YOU WIN AGAINST ME!!! FAIRY TAIL IS MINE!!! I'LL TAKE IT BY FORCE IF I HAVE TO!!!" He declared furiously. "YOU'RE NOT EVEN A MEMBER!!! YOU'RE JUST SOME MANGY STRAY DOG THAT KEEPS COMING BACK FOR SCRAPS AFTER BEING FEED ONCE!!! THIS IS GUILD BUSINESS SO WHY DON'T YOU GET LOST?!" He roared with rage.

"...So that's what this is about. Sorry..."

He summoned another set of chained ice axes and began swinging them. "When it involves my friends..." He swung at Laxus, who leaned back to barely evade the flying weapon. "Then it BECOMES MY business."

Laxus growled, swinging his hand down, calling down a series of violent lightning bolts from above.

Kadoc dodged every single one with incredible speed, swinging at the towering lightning wizard, who either punched or knocked away his weapons. Grabbing the chain, he threw it and it wrapped around Laxus' neck, pulling on the weapons, he swung him around and threw him to the wall once again.

Laxus growled, blitzing toward Kadoc with a lightning covered fist, only to miss as he leaped up and threw one of his axes, which he barely evaded. He flew up and swing and miss again, only to be kicked back to the ground.

Kadoc flew down, swinging his axe down, but missed as Laxus appeared behind him and slammed his fist into his face.

"KADOC!!" Erza screamed, fearfully.

Laxus looked at the unmoving body of the traveler, smiling confidently at one less fly to rid himself of.

Kadoc, planted his foot, tightened his fist, and delivered a return blow to Laxus, staggering him from the surprising sheer force behind the blow.

He caught himself before he buckling, looking to the young traveler with ever-growing rage. "How-How the hell?!"

"What? You didn't think I've just been playing around and sightseeing while I was traveling, did you? Sorry..." Kadoc encased his hands is a gale of wind and freezing lightning. "But you'd be dead wrong."

Laxus roared violently, as he charged at the bluenette.

The two began trading blows, countering fist for fist as the moved all over the cathedral floor, sending put bursts of wind, ice and lightning.

"Holy crap!! Kadoc's gotten super strong!!" Natsu claimed, shielding himself from the powerful bursts of wind.

"You can say that, again." Agreed another.

Erza and natsu looked up and saw Gajeel dropping down from the wall.

"Gajeel!"

"The heck?! When did you get here?!" Nastu questioned, utterly shocked by his fellow Dragon Slayer's sudden appearance.

"Since he started knocking you around, Slamander. I was waiting for a chance to get the drop on 'im. But now..." He looked over to the brutal clash between the two. "I don't see that happening."

"Agreed. To think he's improved this much..." Erza marveled.

"HOARFROST STOMP!!!" Kadoc slammed his foot down, sending a spiked wave of ice at Laxus, trapping him. "Erza!! Natsu!!" He called out, spotting Gajeel which surprised him. "Black Steel Gajeel?" He muttered, shaking his head and refocusing. "Get everyone to the Guildhall!! Treat the injured!! Lyla, go with them!!"

Laxus broke out of his shell, only to rush at the young wizard with another flurry of lightning charged punches.

Erza wanted to stay and lend aid, but as she watched the fight, she knew Kadoc would be fine. Even if for a moment while she stopped the fighting amongst the members of the guild and treat their injuries. If fast enough, they could return as back up and stop Laxus once and for all. "Alright! Just hang on as long as you can, Kadoc! Let's go!" She instructed the Dragon Slayers.

"WHAT?!" Nastu quesioned shocked. "No way!! I ain't leavin'!! I'm supposed to be the one to take Laxus down!! Yo Kadoc, tag me in, man!!" He called out.

"I don't see that happenin', Flame Brain." Gajeel jabbed.

"SAY WHAT?!"

"Look at that." He directed to the raging and growing storm courtesy of the wizards' clash. "You really think you can get in the middle of all that? Be my guest."

Natsu growled at Gajeel's challenge, looking back at fight between Kadoc of Laxus. Bursts of wind, bolts of lightning, waves of ice flew everywhere as they traded blows. He looked for an opening to join in, but he found none that would allow him to enter without him getting hurt, if not killed.

"Then again..." Gajeel's calculated glare turned into a wicked smile. "When we come back with reinforcements and he ends up biting it, I'll get to lord it over him for the rest of his life. I'll finally have another win under my belt." He said, laughing evilly.

Natsu and Erza looked at the Iron Dragon Slayer with curiousness and annoyance. 'What kind of history do THEY have?'

Erza look one last look at Kadoc, watching how hard he was fighting for his friends in Fairy Tail, despite not even being a member himself. 'Kadoc...Love...Be careful. Hold out for as long as possible. Please!' She pleaded. "Let's go!"

The three wizards ran out of the Cathedral and broke off into different directions of the town.

Laxus swung his fist heavily, pushing Kadoc back as he blocked the blow.

He inhaled deeply as he tightened his fist, storing up wind magic. "Airtight!" He swung his fist, sending a near-invisible blast of air to the opposing wizard's gut.

'What the?!' Laxus held his gut, quickly moving or blocking any other blasts from Kadoc. He jumped up, sending a volley of lightning balls down.

Kadoc stood back up, easily smacking away the orbs, even catching one and crushing it, chasing up his own power.

Laxus seethed with anger. He blitzed towards Kadoc with lighting coating his arms for a sledgehammer swing. Delivering the blow, he created a massive crater, but Kadoc was still standing, blocking the blow with a broadsword made of ice.

Kadoc gave a cold glare, briefly shaking Laxus. He swung his blade, pushing Laxus' hand away and leaving him open for another blow. "Tidecaller!!" With a mighty swing, he send a wave of freezing lightning back at Laxus' side, injuring him greatly as it dealt the same amount of damage he attempted to deliver to him.

Laxus, now holding his frozen side began to dodge each swing of the young traveler who began chasing him around. Seeing an opening with an overhead swing, he coated his fist with lightning and blew the sword out on his hand. "RAGING BOLT!!!" He called above, sending a bolt of lightning down onto Kadoc, only to miss.

Sliding to a halt, Kadoc brought his hands to his side, summoning a katana from ice and lightning. "Ryuken: Raijin-Yuki..." Unsheathing the blade, a blast of frost-lightning shot out at the lightning meister, hitting his already frozen side. The blade glowed a pale blue as lightning and frost coated it with magic energy. "Kamisato Art: Soumetsu!!" With a single swing, a storm of whirling ice-made flower petals within the icy winds advanced onto Laxus, slashing him endless and creating cuts all over his body. The cold, bladed wind exploded, leaving an exhausted Laxus, who blocked the on-coming attack to glare at the traveler who had pushed and seemingly overpowered him.

Kadoc placed his blade into the ground, causing a line to push forward and meet with the others that conjoined under Laxus' feet.

Looking around, Laxus found that the ice-made weapons he used and discarded created a snowflake-like pattern on the ground.

"Six-Point Ice Formation..." Freezing mist began to rise up quickly, ice began protruding from the ground. "Frozen Obelisk!!" A massive tower of ice shot up, encasing the lightning meister within as it broke through the roof of the cathedral. "Uh oh. Didn't mean for it to go THAT high. Gonna have to fix that later."

Stuck inside the tower of ice, Laxus grit his teeth, conjuring lightning into his fist. Summoning forth all his might, he roared in a violent rage. Lightning burst and destroyed his entrapment. "THAT'S IT!!! I'VE HAD IT!!! NO MORE GAMES!!!" His body began to grow, bulking up physically while scales emerged running across his arms.

"So the rumors were true. You're like Natsu and Gajeel. You're a Dragon Slayer." Kadoc stated, still unshaken and focused.

Laxus raised both of his hands in the air generating a massive amounts of lightning between his palms. Forming a very large trident composed of lightning. "I'M GONNA STOMP YOU INTO BLOOD AND DUST!!! Know your place. Lightning Dragon's...HEAVENWARD HALBERD!!!" He roared, chucking the massive spear-shaped bolt at the young traveler, sending him flying out of the cathedral and through the town.

Fairy Tail Guildhall

After rushing through out the town, Erza, Natsu and Gajeel managed to to regroup and return everyone one to the Guildhall. Having Warren, Fairy Tail's Telepathy Wizard, reach out as far as he could to call everyone back quickly. Those who returned were given first aid while the others who were more severly injured were healed by Lyla's Healing Magic.

"Those who are too injured, remain in the Guildhall to be treated! Those who can still stand; I'll need your assistance!" Erza declared.

"Erza." Alzak, a Guns Magic wizard approached the wizard in armor, holding his side. "Do you know if Bisca is okay?"

"From what I heard, she's resting in the med bay."

"I see. I'm going to go see her." Alzak began to leave, but Erza grabbed his shoulder and stopped him.

"Alzak, I understand you're worried, but I need you here right now."

"What is it, Erza?" Asked Gray.

"Laxus is at Cardia Cathedral. He's being held back, but I don't know for how much longer. I need every abled body to come and provide reinforcements." She explained.

"Reinforcements? Wait, is someone fighting Laxus? Who?" Many of the remaining members questioned.

Erza simply smiled fondly. "It's–"

"Hold it!" Max, Sand Wizard, stepped forward, glaring at Warren. "Don't even think for a second you're off the hook Warren, not after what you did!"

"Max!!" Warren jumped, relieved to see his friend up and around, yet rather remorseful after been the one who took him out during the battle royal. "L-Look man, I'm sorry about that! I swear it wasn't personal! I just wanted to help save the girls!"

"Don't think we forgot about you either, Alzak!" Jet and Droy, Speed and Plant Wizards respectively, glared at the marksman.

"...I'm sure. I'm sorry about before-" He apologized, his head lowered in shame.

"Sorry doesn't cut it! You took us out when we weren't looking!"

And just like that, everyone one of the remaining members who fought each other started auguring and yelling at each other.

"Enough!! We don't have time for this!!" Erza shouted.

"Will you idiots stop yelling at each other?!" Gray yelled.

"SHUT UP!!! YOU STAY OUT OF THIS!!!" They all shouted back, shocking both of the sensible wizards.

As the arguing continued, Lucy couldn't help but watch as friends began to evolves into enimes after what they were forced to to do each other. It pained her to watch, she couldnt do it anymore. "STOP FIGHTING!!!"

Just like that, everyone stopped and looked to the Celestial Wizard.

"We shouldn't be wasting our time arguing! The citizens are in danger, and we're the only ones who can help them! So we're gonna have to work together! Look, I know things have been rough with all of us fighting one another, but we didn't have a choice! Laxus forced us all to! And with the lacrima down, he's all that's left! And we can do it! We can stop him if we pull together!...That's what you guys taught me. I know I'm still fairy new to Fairy Tail but I promise you; I love being apart of this Guild just as much as the rest of you. I always dreamed of joining someday, it's what I've wanted more than anything in this word. Now that I've joined...It..." She chocked, trying to hold back her tears and stay strong. "It means everything to me. And if you feel the same...LET'S WORK AS A GUILD AND SAVE OUR TOWN!!!"

"Lucy..." Erza smiled.

"But if none of you are up to the challenge..." She stepped foward to Erza. "Then I'll go with Erza and help beat Laxus!! You said someone was fighting for us? Then let's go help them ourselves!!"

Lucy's words left the members of Fairy Tail shocked, stunned, ashamed, but amazed, proud, and resolved. One by one, the members smiled.

"What's it gonna be guys? You heard the lady; you gonna let the newbie show you up like that?" Asked Cana Alberona, Card Magic Wizard and Fairy Tail's heaviest drinker, taunted as she approached with Juvia Lockser, Mirajane Straus, her brother Elfman.

"You're all okay!!" Erza called out with relief.

"Sorry we got back so late." Elfman apologized.

"From what we've heard, you're in need of some extra hands?" Asked Mira.

Erza nodded. "That's right. As many as we can muster."

"Well, we're in. Time we took Laxus down a couple pegs, once and for all!"

Shortly after, the Guildmembers agreed to put aside their grievances and work together to stop Laxus.

"Guess we should follow the newbies lead and see the bigger picture, huh?" Max deflated his anger.

"She may be new, busy she's got more Fairy Tail pride in her than all of us!" Warren praised.

"We have to put aside or grievances for now and focus on saving the town." Said Alzak.

"Sheesh, now we gotta help out or we're gonna look bad, huh?" Wakaba, Smoke Magic Wizard sighed jokingly.

"Ya done good, Lucy. You got everyone to focus up and cool their jets." Macao, Purple Fire Magic Wizard praised. "All right, guys! You ready to do this?!"

The members unleashed a battle cry, ready to storm Cardia Cathedral and battle against the orchestrator of this sick game of Fairy eat Fairy.

Seeing everyone rally together made Lucy happy. She had hoped her willingness and words would reach them, but never to this extent. She truly felt she belonged in this Guild.

"Man, everyone all excited. We headin' back?" Nastu asked, returning with many injured Guild members. "Good, time for me to get some hits back in."

"Natsu?" Lucy was surprised. When Ezra said someone was fighting Laxus, she thought that meant him given their history. "Wait. I thought Natsu would be fighting Lauxs. If not him, then who?"

"Actually its-"

"GUYS!!!" Levy McGarden, solid-Script Magic user and Fairy Tail's resident bookworm cutie, rushed out of the Guildhall, panicked and scared. "It's really bad! We need to get to Laxus, now!!"

"Levy?" Lucy looked worried for her friend's panicked state.

"Just calm down. What's going on?" Erza asked.

"It's...It's Master Makarov. He...He might not have much time left."

This news shocked everyone. Their Guild Master was bed ridden, having forced to stand by and watch as those he deemed his children tore each other to pieces in Laxus' sick game for his position and title. His heart couldn't take the stress and he collapsed. Now, he was teetering between the cusp of life and death.

Suddenly, a massive burst of magic energy started approaching's the Guild, shocking everyone by the amount and its terrifying speed.

"EVERYONE, GET BEHIND ME!!!" Erza ran in front of everyone, summoning her Adamantine Armor.

Raising her massive shield, she acted quickly to protect everything and everyone behind her before impact.

A massive bolt came hurling towards the Fairy Tail Guildhall, everyone braced themselves for what may come, only for the lightning-made trident to stop a mere inch away from Erza.

Everyone looked and went was shocked to see how the projectile was stopped.

Kadoc, held onto Laxus' Heavenward Halberd by the end, his feet smoking and buried into the ground.

"Holy crap!!" Elfman awed.

"No way!!"

"It's Kadoc!!" Gray smirked.

"Isn't that one of Laxus' attacks?"

"And he stopped it?!"

Kadoc gripped the Heavenward Halberd, modifying its properties with his own magic. He pulled his foot out and spun, throwing the projectile back from where it came. Turning the dial on his ring to its second engraving, his body became encased in lightning and he shot off in the same direction, even passing the projectile he threw.

"Was that really Kadoc?" One of the members questioned, still in shock.

"Without a doubt." Mirajane smiled.

"Who else could be that cute and be that strong?" Cana smirked.

'Wait...Kadoc? Was it really? Could it-? Kaddy?' Juvia stood, somewhat shocked.

Levy smiled, trying to hold back her tears. Her hope of all this meaningless conflict ending grew now that Kadoc was back and fighting for them. "Come on, we need to go. If we tell Laxus' Master's condition, he might stop all of this."

"Right. Come on, let's go!" Erza called out, leading the charge with Fairy Tail in-tow.

Cardia Cathedral

Laxus, hands on his knees and panting heaving, taking a moment to breath after sending Kadoc away. 'Little bastard!! How the hell'd he get so strong?! Should've just wiped him out the second I saw his face!!' He growled, only to grow a relieved smirk. "Oh well. Now that he's gone-" He was silenced from pain. A sudden blow to his gut forced him to cough violently and stumble back. Looking down, he saw it was none other than Kadoc, who returned mere moments after being sent flying away.  "WHAT?? HOW DID—?!"

"Rising Hurricane!!" Uppercutting Laxus, he shot him up in a violent twister, just for his attack to come flying right back at him, now alternated with Ice Magic.

Kadoc shielded his eyes from the blinding light of the blast. The light faded and a loud thud echoed through the Cathedral. He looked over, seeing the Dragon Slayer covered in frost yet smoking as he struggled back up.

"Laxus, enough. Please, just stay down. I don't want to keep hurting you."

"Hurt me? Hurt me?!" Laxus, on his knee, slammed his fist into the ground as he rose back up, roaring violently as lightning erupted. "SHUT THE HELL UP!!! A GUILDLESS RAT LIKE YOU SHOULDN'T EVEN BE HERE!!! WHY ARE YOU STILL FIGHTING FOR THESE LOOSERS?!"

"Because those "losers" are my friends. My family and loved ones. Even if I'm not a member, they still welcome me and treat me like one of their own all the same. That includes you to." Kadoc declared.

"SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!"

"I AM NOTHING TO YOU!! AND YOU'RE NOTHING TO ME!!! I DESPISE PEOPLE LIKE YOU!!! WATCHING YOU GROW TO SEE WHAT YOU'VE BECOME HAS MADE ME LOATH YOUR VERY EXISTENCE EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!"

"If you hate me a much as you say...then why did you save me that night we first met? The day I first came to Magnolia?"

"...It was the last mistake I'll ever make! But if you want to die for this pathetic Guild...So be it!!" His lightning began turning into pure golden light, raising his hands up and began to focus it into his palms.

'This magic power! It's so intense! What is this?' Kadoc questioned, trying to gauge the spell Laxus was casting.

"Laxus!! Stop!!" Cried Levy from outside.

Kadoc and Laxus looked back, seeing the remaining Guild members arrive on the scene.

"Wait, this light!"

"Is that...The same one that took out Master Jose?" Gajeel fretted.

"It's one of Gramps' spells!!" Natsu said, panicked. "Laxus, don't do this!"

"Laxus! Please, you've got to stop!" Mirajane pleaded.

"Kadoc, get out of there!" Ezra ordered.

Kadoc refused to abide and simply focused on Laxus.

"Laxus, enough! Go see the Master, now!!" Macao demented of his younger member.

"Seriously kid, this stunt of yours is gonna cost you and everyone else big!!" Wakaba scolded.

"Laxus please! Go to Master Makarov, he might not have much time left!!" Levy pleaded.

Though Laxus continued to charge his spell, Levy snapped Kadoc out of his focus.

"Wait what?" He asked, shocked to his core.

"Master Makarov...Your grandfather...is close to death!!"

"...No way...Master Makarov...He's really...Laxus, go to him now! Stop this before you do something you regret for the rest of your life!!" Kadoc yelled.

Many of the guild members continued to beg Laxus to stop and go see his grandfather.

The light of Laxus' spell slowly began to dim.

"...This is working out perfectly for me!"

Kadoc's, along with everyone else's eyes widens from shock.

"Now that the old man is at deaths door, I have an even better change at becoming Fairy Tail's new Master!"

This shocked everyone into tears and rage.

"Bastard!!" Gray growled, readying his Ice magic.

"How could you be so heartless?!" Ezra summoned an array of swords to her side.

"Damn you!" Gajeel hissed.

"Laxus...!" Natsu snarled.

"You should feel honored, Kadoc! You have a front row seat to the dawn of a new era for Fairy Tail! I'll rebuild everything from the ground-up!! I'll form the ultimate Guild!! ONE SO POWERFUL, ALL WILL TREMBLE AT OUR NAME!!! And it all starts by ridding the world of annoying worms, like you!!" Laxus said to Kadoc, who simply hid his glare behind his bangs.

"You can't do this!! Don't you care about Gramps at all?!" Natsu yelled.

"Laxus, don't do it!!" Happy begged.

"Kadoc, get out of there!!" Cana yelled.

"Run!!" Erza pleaded.

"Kadoc!!" Mira cried.

"FAIRY LAW!!!"

With the clap of his hands, the light within expanded and stretched far and wide through the whole cathedral, engulfing everyone in its glow, including the citizens of Magnolia. No one was spared from the all-encompassing holy glow.

As the light vanished, Laxus stood amongst a cloud of smoke and silence, only to start cackling maniacally. "I've finally surpassed the old man!" He laughed as the smoke cleared, only for him to go wide-eyed at the sight before him.

Everyone who was encased in his Fairy Law spell remained. Unharmed and slightly disoriented and coughing from all the smoke if anything at all.

"We're...We're okay?" Gray asked surprised.

"What the-No way!" Laxus looked in denial. "Impossible!! How the hell are you all still alive?!"

"Is everyone okay?!" Erza asked for a headcount.

Mira looked out at all the remaining members and smiled, no one seemed injured or worse. "Looks like we're all okay."

"How's Kadoc? Is he okay?" Asked Levy.

"Hehe." Gajeel chuckled, looking at the fading smoke, spotting a still standing Kadoc. "Seems fine to me."

Laxus stood baffled, looking into his shaking hands in utter confusion. "I don't understand. I hit them with so much magic energy! I cast the Fairy Law spell perfectly! This doesn't make any sense!!"

"...Despite your actions, despite your claims, magic can see the truth of your own heart." Declared the traveler, earning Laxus' gaze. "No matter what you say or do, deep down, you don't hate anyone."

"He's right, Laxus." Freed Justine, Enchantment Magic wizard and a member of Laxus' Thunder Legion, hobbled in, gripping his arm as he leaned on the doorway.

"Freed?!"

"What're you doing here?!"

"Apologies. I've been removing the various enchantments I've place all over the town." He said, shuffling forward before falling, only to be caught by some of the members. "The other guild members, as well as the citizens of Magnolia remain unharmed. You've inherited more than strength from your grandfather. Deep down, you also have the Master's heart. Whether you admit it or not, it's evident you care for your comrades. The Fairy Law spell only affects the ones the caster sees as enemies. Since everyone is unharmed, we know how you truly feel."

"The magic could see into his heart..." Said Levy.

"That why we're still here..." Added Gray.

"Try and hide your true feelings all you want Laxus, but your magic will always show how you truly feel." Claimed Kadoc.

Laxus' eye twitched. "That's ridiculous!" He denied. "The truth is anyone who'd dare stand in my way IS MY ENEMY!!"

"Laxus enough, please..." Kadoc offered his hand to the Dragon Slayer. "Let's go see Master Makarov. It's still not too late to stop this. To fix what's been done."

"Shut up!!" Laxus snarled, his magic energy rising as his scales grew back and he bulked back up. "Let the old man die for all I care!! He's nothing to me!! He may be family...BUT I'M STRONGER!!!" He roared, erupting in a malevolent torrent of lightning.

Everyone shielded themselves or others from the massive burst of lightning magic.

"He still has this much power left?!" Gray uttered in shock.

"OH, SAVE IT LAXUS!!!" Kadoc yelled. "YOU'RE NOT STRONGER THAN GRAMPS!!! YOU CAN'T EVEN BEAT ME!!! I'VE BEEN KNOCKING YOU AROUND SINCE I GOT HERE!!! GRANDSON OR NOT, YOU'RE NO BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE IN FAIRY TAIL!!! SO QUIT ACTING SO HIGH AND MIGHTY OVER SOME BLOOD RELATION!!! BLOOD MAY MAKE YOU RELATED, BUT THE BONDS YOU FORGE IS WHAT MAKES A FAMILY!!!" He declared.

"What would a little bastard like you know?! You have nothing!! NO ONE!!! SO DON'T YOU DARE LECTURE ME!!!" Laxus roared back.

"THE PEOPLE OF FAIRY TAIL WHO'VE ACCEPTED ME WOULD SAY OTHERWISE!!! THEY'RE MY FAMILY!!! AND MEMBER OR NOT, I WILL FIGHT FOR THEM!!!"

"YOU'RE DEAD!!!" Laxus swung at Kadoc, slamming him down into the ground, much to the horror of the onlookers.

"KADOC!!!" They shrieked.

Laxus grinned, only to be shocked as the body he hit turned into ice, which spread to the ground and up his arm, holding him in place.

"AIRTIGHT!!!" Kadoc slammed his fist into Laxus' face, sending him flying towards the others and emerging in front, covered in lightning. "Flash Kick!!" He flip-kicked, pursuing and knocking him around through the air before slamming him down. Mid bounce, Kadoc rushed at him and began charging Ice Magic in his hands. "Flash Freeze!!" Launching a beam of ice at Laxus, sending him flying out of the cathedral. Kadoc shot off after him, slamming into the Dragon Slayer and pushing him further away from the town and toward the canyons. "You're not gonna get your hands of Fairy Tail!! I won't let you!!"

Laxus growled, slamming his head into Kadoc's dazing him before backhanding him down into the ground as he sent a swarm of lightning bolts down after him.

Kadoc regained his focus and started flying through the gorge, barely missing each of the strikes of lightning sent onto him.

As a bolt of lightning, Laxus charged at the traveler, his eyes whited out with pure rage at the continued defiance. "WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE?!"

Kadoc met Laxus' charge with his own. Clash after clash, the two continued to push each other back only for the two to begin trading blows.

"Lightning Dragon Wing Attack!!" Coating his arms in a violent web of lightning, he swung his arms down and sent Kadoc crashing. Laxus grabbed the young wizard's head and kneed him in the gut, tossed him up and kicked him through multiple tall rock formations.

Kadoc clapped his hand, summoning multiple wind-made bodies around him. "Sky Dance: Seven Blade Breeze!!"

The figures blasted off, brandishing blades of wind and slashing into Laxus, blasting him back with each blow until he crashed into a wall.

The Lightning Dragon Slayer roared, blasting away the earth. "Lightning Dragon..." Taking a deep breath, he raised his head and a massive yellow magic circle appeared overhead.

Kadoc summoned two orbs of all his elements in his hands and started running at the charging Laxus.

"SKY RENDING ROAR!!!"

Charging headfirst into the oncoming massive wave of lightning, Kadoc sprung up and flew across the stream, landing behind Laxus and throwing the magic orbs at him. "Tempest Storm: Sudden Shower!!!!" He unleashed an onslaught of blasts at Laxus before charging one more attack. "Freezing Tempest: BURST SHURIKEN!!!"

As the projectile explodes into a massive dome of wind, Laxus screams, falling to his hands and knees, panting heavily.

"Just give it up, Laxus!! The Guild doesn't belong to you!! And if you keep going down this path, it never will!!"

"GO TO HELL!!! LIGHTNING DRAGON DEMOLITION FIST!!!" With a mighty swing, Laxus sent a massive fist of lightning flying towards Kadoc, who managed to catch it and hold it back. "WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE?! LIGHTNING DRAGON SKY RENDING ROAR!!!" He unleashed another massive wave of lightning, pushing into his Demolition Fist, and pushing Kadoc back more through his struggle. "Disappear!! Lightning Dragon HEAVENWARD HALBERD!!!" He threw his penultimate attack, increasing the already massive surge of lightning magic and engulfing Kadoc completely in the explosion. Through the lightning-made dome, Laxus panted, nearly completely exhausted. Kadoc had pushed him harder and further than he ever expected. But it no longer mattered to him. "Learn to respect your elders boy. Take that lesson with you into your next life—?!" His eyes suddenly went wide.

Within the light of his magic's destruction, Kadoc continued to focus his own magic into his hand, channeling it and condensing it as much as possible.

"No. No way. How is he doing that?!" Laxus questioned in utter bafflement.

"I told you!" Kadoc struggled in his reply. "I wasn't...goofing off...while...I was...away...You must've realized that...by now!!" With one final effort, any remains of Laxus' energy was condensed into a sparking ball of lightning held in the young traveler's hands. Kadoc raised his arm, encasing it in ice as it grew. Some of the ice broke off, revealing a triangular-shaped barrel of an arm cannon. He slammed the condensed lightning inside the open slot and began to charge as the wind was sucked in through the holes alongside the nozzle. "Last chance. Stand. Down."

Laxus bared his fangs as he growled, his eyes snapping back into his violent rage. "NO!!! I'VE COME TOO FAR TO STOP NOW!!! I WON'T GIVE UP!!! I REFUSE!!!" He roared, unleashing as much lightning as he could to try and hit Kadoc and break his charging attack.

The young traveler continued to dodge and evade every bolt and stream sent his way, not stopping for a single moment. He took every chance he could to get closer to Laxus until he arrived right behind him.

Laxus swung his massive arm and slammed him with the back of his hand. However, in doing so, he found himself becoming encased in ice and held in place, having hit an ice-made copy. Kadoc emerged from right behind, his arm cannon raised and aimed right at Laxus, who managed to come back to his senses at that very moment.

"Game over...Laxus."

'...I...lost...?'

"Freezeshock CANNOOOOOOOOOOON!!!" Unleashing a mighty roar, the lightning shot out and easily engulfed Laxus, sending him flying into the sky in a wave of yellow and blue.

Laxus screamed in pain as the blast shot right into the sky, blasting away the dark clouds that formed over the town, revealing the bright blue sky.

The members of Fairy Tail had arrived on the scene, spotting Kadoc amidst the breeze of dust clouds and sparking ground coated in frost.

"Holy crap..."

"Did—Did Kadoc do that?"

"I...I think he did!"

"Wait, where's Laxus?" Gray asked.

A black streak began falling from the sky. Growing closer, it revealed to be the Lightning Dragon Slayer, unconscious.

Kadoc dispersed his ice-made arm cannon and summoned a gentle breeze to catch and carry Laxus back down safely. Seeing that he was still breathing, Kadoc sighed with relief. "It's over."

"No way!"

"He did it?! He actually beat Laxus?!"

Members of Fairy Tail cheered in triumph. Laxus' rebellion and his Battle of Fairy Tail was finally over.

"Incredible..." Erza awed.

"He really did it. He really beat Laxus!!" Freed said, astonished and shocked.

"Thank goodness!" Mira wept, relieved Kadoc made it out alive.

"It's all over!" Levy sighed with relief.

"Yeah well, what d'ya expect with our boy handling things?" Cana smirked. "Still, he really couldn't have come back at a better time." She admitted with admiration.

However, despite the cheers and celebration, the young traveler removed his backpack and pulled out a stack of marked papers. He pulled six and swiped them into the air as they glowed and floated around Laxus in a six-sided barrier.

Laxus began to groan and twitch, spazzing and suddenly screaming as if he was in pain.

"Woah! Dude, what're you doing?!" Gray asked, about to step in and stop Kadoc.

"STAY BACK!!" He snapped, stopping Gray in his tracks, and bringing his hands together. "Evil Spirit, I Purge you from this host and of this realm!! Now, release your hold on this man!! At once!!"

After multiple more spasms, something black and misty shot out from the Lightning Wizard's mouth, growing and forming into a mass that loomed above before taking shape and illuminating bright red eyes.

"I thought something felt off. So you're what caused Laxus' drastic change."

"Woah!! What is that thing?!" Happy asked.

"It's an evil spirit. One that feeds and feeds on someone's negative thoughts and emotions until they become someone completely different." Kadoc explained, holding up one final talisman. "I hope you enjoyed your last meal, because you're not feeding on him or anyone else ever again!!" He roared, activating the talisman and throwing it at the spirit. "PURGE!!!"

The talisman pierced into the smog-like apparition, causing it to scream as it began to dissipate into flakes of light and be pulled into the talisman. It reached out to the young traveler, only to be knocked back by the barrier it was trapped inside of. More and more it panicked until all that remained of it was completely absorbed and trapped inside, which glowed and floated down before Kadoc caught it, only to light it on fire with a small jolt and burn the talisman to finally eliminate the spirit.

"Now that that's done..." Kadoc looked back to Laxus, reaching out his hands and releasing a warm and gentle breeze from his hands. "Healing Breeze."

Laxus was engulfed in a bright green glow, his wounds healing almost instantly.

Freed walked over, watching the young traveler heal his leader. "Why are you healing him? He just tried to kill you."

"Maybe, but I'm not just gonna leave him like this." He replied, catching Freed by surprise. "Look at him, he got more of a beating than I did. Besides, he could've killed me and everyone else with that spell earlier, but he didn't."

"Was...Was it that apparition from before that caused all of this?" He asked.

"No. But it certainly didn't help. That thing was a Wraith. Once it detects potentially strong hosts with even a sliver of negative emotions—or so much as a thought—it'll sneak its way in to fuel and feed on the hosts' growing negative emotions. Must've attached itself years ago, given by how large it was." He looked down, seeing the wounds on Laxus' body, as well as the dark lines around his eyes, fade away. "Freed, take him back home. Make sure he gets some rest." He instructed, shattering the barrier around him and walking off.

"What will you do?" He asked.

"I'm going to see Master Makarov. Hopefully, there's still time." He said, blasting off towards the Guildhall.

Fairy Tail Guildhall—Infirmary

Porlyusica, medical practitioner and Fairy Tail's—reluctant—adviser, sat by the bed of Makarov, who was still fighting to stay alive after everything that's happened today.

The door opened and Kadoc Neinfeld entered, surprising Porlyusica.

"Neinfeld."

"Hello, Miss Porlyusica! Nice to see you again." He bowed before approaching the Guild Master. "How is he?"

She looked back down at Makorov. "He's stable. For now. But bringing someone back further from a state like this, nearing the end...It's difficult."

"Hmmmm... Mind if I tried something?" He asked.

"Neinfeld, while I appreciate your intention, I'm don't think you have the medical knowledge or means to treat Makarov. I fear he may be too far gone." She worried.

"Please? I've learned a thing or two while I was in Liyue. One of those being medicine. I promise, while it may not completely heal the Master, it should help his condition."

Fair Tail's adviser looked to the young boy, who was already pulling things out of his backpack. 'Liyue? Did he really travel all that way?' The more she thought, she thought of such a possibility. 'Then again, he's been gone for so long, so it's not unlikely. And if he's practiced medicine, then there'd be only one he must've learned from...' She stepped aside. "Very well. Just... be careful."

Kadoc smiled. "Thank you." He walked up to he slumbering Master, items in hand. He held up a stick of pure cinnamon to the master's nose for a few second, causing his face to twitch. "Master Makarov? Can you hear me?"

The old man's eyes flickered open, slowly trying to adjust to the light. He looked over and saw the young man by his bedside. "Kadoc?... My boy... What are—? I'm sorry you have to see me in such a state..."

The young traveler shook his head. "Don't apologize. Actually, I'm glad I was able to come back at such a good time. Here, I have some medicine for you. It should help."

Makarov leaned up with out hesitation, trusting the young man's brew as he drank it as Kadoc elevated his weak body.

"That's it. Slowly." Kadoc smiled, serving the rest of the medicine. He helped Makarov lay back down as he was starting to drift back to sleep. "Get some rest, Master Makarov. You'll feel better in no time."

Makarov's complexion seemed much better. The medicine seemed to be acting rather quickly, which surprised Porlyusica. She looked him over and he was much better. He had overcome over his potential fate.

"What...What on earth did you serve him?" She asked.

"Hm? Oh, a bit stronger dosage of what his usual medicine is. I added in some other things like Lamp Grass, Wolfhook, Glaze Lily, Naku Weed, and Amakumo Fruit. Seems like he's taking it rather well. Good." He smiled with relief.

Porlyusica looked to the young man, astonished and amazed by how far someone his age had come.

"Now, if you don't mind..." Kadoc turned and walked over to one of the beds. "Imma crash on a cot." He said, plopping and bouncing on a bed and quickly fell asleep.

Porlyusica looked on in shock at how quickly he face-planted into the pillow and started snoring. He really did pass out asleep. 'Honestly. This boy...'

"Yo! Kadoc, where you at cuz?" Lyla called out as she flew into the infirmary. "Oh there you are and he's out cold." She sighed. "Yeah. Figures."

"Excuse me, little one." Porlyusica spoke, gaining the pixie's attention. "I take it you know you this one?"

"Yeah. We're buds. He helped me out in a jam so I'm hangin' around to repay the favor. Speaking of which, the people outside are treated enough so imma crash. You got a thimble or something?"

Porlyusica looked somewhat flabbergasted at the request. "W-What? Why-Why would I—?"

"No? No prob. I'll just crash on the corner." She shrugged, flying down to an open spot on Kadoc's cot and laid down. "God that feels good!" She stretched. "Going 60 plus hours with no sleep can REALLY ware you out." She stretched.

"I haven't slept for days you little—" Kadoc murmured, only resume his gentle snoring.

Lyla awed at the boy, patting his cheek. "It's empathic pain, sweetie. I feel your struggle. Even when I slept, I felt your sleepiness." She teased, plopping down and slept.

Porlyusica went wide-eyed. 'More than 60 hours? And he was still able to defeat Laxus?!' She looked to Kadoc, a small bead of nervous sweat roll down her face. 'Humans. So unpredictable. So...terrifying...'

Suddenly, a stampede of footsteps approached the door, only to burst open with the remaining Fairy Tail members flooding inside. "KADOC!!!"

"WILL YOU ALL KEEP IT DOWN?!" The adviser yelled. "Or do you not want the old man to recover?!"

The members calmed themselves having heard Porlyusica's question.

"Wait, does that mean—" Gray muttered.

"Gramps is gonna make it?!" Natsu beamed happily.

She nodded. "He is. Your friend here gave him some medicine that seemed to do the trick. He's resting for now and should be better after some time." She said, looking the sleeping Kadoc.

"HE'S ASLEEP?!" Nearly all the members boomed from shock.

Mirajane giggled. "Well, no use trying to wake him up now. He sleeps like a rock. Besides, sweet thing did a lot for us. We should let him rest."

Erza looked over the Master Makarov, seeing his chest rise easily as he slept. She smiled, now at ease. "She's right. Let's give them the rest they deserve. We can smother them with attention later."

"You just wanna get all kissy face with Kadoc, don't cha, Erza?" Cana smirked.

Ezra's face exploded into a hue that nearly rivaled her hair. "N-No! That's not what I—I didn't mean-!"

"You can tease each other about your romantic feelings elsewhere. These fools need their rest. And I'm sure some of you still need to be treated. Come. Out." Porlyusica ushered everyone out of the room.

Lucy hung back for a moment and looked at the sleeping traveler, only to smile with the upmost gratitude. 'Thanks Kadoc. Everyone told me a lot about you. Hope to meet you for real myself soon.' She hoped before joining the others in the main hall.

Juvia also stayed behind, looking at the boy. Her eyes widened in disbelief and joy. She walked over and held his hand. "It really is you..." She muttered, tears welling in her eyes. "Kaddy!"

"Juvia! You good? Come on, we need some extra hands!!"

"Y-Yes! Be right there!!" Juvia wiped her tears, smiling back at Kadoc before leaving to lend aid to her new guildmates.
