September 1st - Bella's POV

"Come on Bella! We get to see Sirius, Remus and Peter again!" James cheers as he runs ahead of me and our parents with his cart.

I smile and Nimbus meows at me from in her carrier.

I run into the wall behind James and his parents follow us.

Once we get through, I look around immediately for Remus, and I see him.

But apparently Sirius does too, and we race to jump on him, I win and Sirius pouts as Remus laughs.

"Remus!" I cheer and he continues to laugh. "Did you get taller?" I ask him.

Remus nods in amusement, and I get down as James and Peter join us.

"Bella!" Marlene cheers as she hugs me.

I laugh and Lily joins her with Mary following.

"Finally took you long enough to get here." Sirius says to me and James.

I smile and Marlene gasps and asks, "Is that a full smile?" 

I pout and she hugs me. "Is it that hard to believe that I can smile?" I ask Marlene.

"Yes." Marlene, Lily and Mary all say to me and I really pout as Sirius laughs at me.

I just humpf and I get Nimbus and my bag from my cart and Mom kisses me goodbye while as Dad ruffles my hair, and they do the same to James, which makes James complain, but I just smile amused.

"Well with Sleekeazy!" Dad starts and James stops him by running off.

"I'm gonna replace his shampoo with Sleekeazy." I say and Dad nods. "He'll regret dying my hair blue this summer." I say and Mom laughs and I hug her and Dad goodbye before I get on the train and I head to the usual cart.

Remus helps me get my bag on the rack and we sit down. "So, what are you looking forward too this year?" Remus asks me.

"James wants me to join the Quidditch Team with him, so I guess that for one." I say to Remus and he nods. "What about you?" I ask him.

"Watching you and James play quidditch." Remus says to me in amusement and I shake my head.

James, Sirius and Peter come in and put their bags up and sit down.

"Wow Bella, you look a lot less fragile." Sirius says to me with a grin.

"That would be James and Moms fault, they made me do normal kid things, like play in the dirt, and eat a lot of food." I say as I stare at the ground, the horror passing through my eyes. "I don't like dirt." I say and James laughs. "It's messy, and it stained my clothes." I say and Sirius laughs.

I see Antonio pass by our cart with another boy that looks like Sirius.

Me and Sirius watch them and then we look at each other confused before shrugging it off.

After a bit, we get to Hogsmede and carriages take us up to the castle.

"I can't wait for Quidditch!" James says to us excitedly.

I smile nervously as he falls out of the carriage, and he runs to keep up with it.

After a bit, we get to the castle, and we take our stuff to our dorms.

"Ahh! I'm back!" Lily says excitedly as she lays on her bed.

I smile amused and I let Nimbus loose as I unpack my stuff.

I get changed for dinner and I make sure to not get lost, because the stairways try to change on me, but I race down in time with Remus on my heels.

We get to the great hall and we're almost late, but we sit down at the table and then the first years come in.

I see a lot of kids this year.

Sirius and James try to guess which house most of them get sorted into, until it comes to mine and Sirius' brothers.

"Slytherin." I say as my brother sits on the stool.

"Are you sure?" Remus asks me and I nod.

"Slytherin." I say and the sorting hat looks confused.

After a few minutes the hat clears its throat. "SLYTHERIN!" It yells and I nod and Antonio runs to the Slytherin table.

Next is Sirius' brother and he gets Slytherin as well.

Sirius looks relieved and then Professor Dumbledore gives a speech, telling all the first years not to go into the Forbidden Forest, and at that moment in time, everyone who experienced what I did, shivers, which means our entire table except for the first years.

"Never again." I say and James nods in agreement.

After dinner is over, we go to our house and I sit in the common room with Remus, and we catch up from what happened during the summer.

"Your a lot more relaxed." Remus says to me.

I put my head on my knees and I reply with, "James made me loosen up." 

Remus almost laughs and I sigh.

Lily then takes me upstairs and I look at her confused.

"Ok, so quidditch." Lily says to us.

I just get changed as she talks about the subject endlessly.

I hide under my covers with Nimbus and I take my glasses off, putting them on the bedside table.

"Goodnight Lily." The rest of us girls say to her as we go to sleep.

The Next Morning

"Ah! We're gonna be late!" James says frantically as we race down the stairs, Remus, Peter and Sirius on our heels.

"Well if you had gotten up earlier," I start and he starts making a loud noises, which stops me.

"Parkour!" Sirius says jumping onto the next staircase.

We all stop as Sirius races down the flights of stairs ahead of us.

I look at James and he looks at me.

"Don't you two dare." Remus says to us.

James is the first to jump off and I follow him, and we land on the stairs and we continue running behind Sirius.

Remus follows us, but Peter takes the long way.

We get the right floor and we run to class.

We make it on time and I sit in my seat from last year and Remus sits next to me.

"Well your on time." Professor Flitwick says to us.

We nod and class starts and I take notes and Remus copies them.

When class is over, we walk out and I sigh in relief, as does Remus.

Antonio passes us and we watch him as he walks quickly, avoiding me.

I look at Remus and he sighs and we walk to our next class, I decided to take the same courses as him this year so that I can take notes for him, but I'm also taking flying class, and Remus isn't, that's a free period for him, so he can study.

Weeks pass by until its time for Quidditch try outs.

"Ready?" James asks me with a grin.

I shake my head, replying, "No." 

I head out with him and Sirius and other students older and the same age as us.

"So, you think you'll make it on the team, huh?" The captain asks us.

"Yes!" James and Sirius say loudly.

"That was rhetorical." The captain says to them.

I stand with my hands folded in front of me as he walks to stand in front of me.

"You." The captain says to me.

I look up at him. "Yes?" I ask him.

"Your first, what are you trying out for?" The captain asks me.

"Chaser." I say to him with the most even voice that I can muster.

The captain nods and gets the team set up and James pats my shoulder as good luck. I mount my broom and take off.

I get passed the Quaffle and I fly, dodging the other chasers and beaters, and I throw the quaffle into the hoop before the keeper could stop it.

"Your not half bad, who else was aiming for chaser?" The Captain asks as I fly low, near them.

Sirius raises his hand along with Longbottom.

We end up having a game against the other chasers and we win.

"Well then, you three will be joining the team." Captain says to us.

James gets Seeker, and then that's it, nobody else passes.

"Alright, practice starts now." Captain says to us as the others who didn't make it, leave.

I nod and we end up practicing for hours.

Once we're done, the first match is apparently in a few days, and it's against Hufflepuff.

I head back to the dorms with Lily at my left side and Remus at my right, Lily is just talking our ears off about how happy she is that I made the team.

I just pass out on my bed after that, and I don't make it to dinner that night, I'm too tired.

A few days later

"Don't be nervous Bella." Sirius says as he stands next to me.

I look at him with a nervous glint in my eyes. "Easy for you to say." I say to him.

Sirius grins and we fly out.

During the game, I dodge the one Hufflepuff chaser, who always chases me when I get the quaffle.

He looks like Lily, and he's fairly cute, for being a second year.

I fly upside down above him, just to get a better look at his face and he smirks as he reaches for the quaffle, but I fly up and I turn around and fly towards the biggest hoop, and the Hufflepuff keep, can't stop the quaffle.

"Gryffindor is dominating this year, and its thanks to their new chaser, Arabella Potter, for this being her first time, she is skilled." The commentator says to everyone.

The Hufflepuff chaser gets the next quaffle and I chase him, I catch it as he throws it towards his giant hoop, I then race to the other side with him on my tail.

I score another ten points and then James gets the snitch and we win the game.

I fly down to the ground and the chaser from Hufflepuff follows me.

"Good game, Potter." He says to me as I stand on the ground.

I hide behind Sirius at the sudden confrontation, Sirius just moves out of the way with a laugh. "T-Thanks, y-you too, Evans." I manage to say and he grins.

"You can just call me Thomas." He says to me.

I squeak and I try to hide behind my broom, but that doesn't work too well, which makes Evans laugh amused. "Arabella." I say to him and Evans nods.

I hide behind James who is beyond amused.

"When she's on a broom, she's confident, when she's not, she's shy." Captain remarks surprised.

"BELLA!" Lily cheers as she hugs me.

I hide in her arms and James looks jealous and I stick my tongue out at him, Lily then switches with Marlene and I definitely hide in her robes as Lily goes to talk with her brother.

"Lets go get some hot cocoa, you were awesome today." Mary says to me.

I nod in thanks and Marlene and Mary take me to the kitchen, against Captains orders.

I make hot cocoa for the three of us and I take a sip of mine, finding it soothing, because I'm freezing and this is hot.

We head back outside to the field and pictures are taken.

"Bella, it's so cold, let me have a sip." Sirius whines as I hold my hot cocoa in my hands.

"Mine." I say and Sirius pouts.

Remus smiles amused as I sit on a bench with my legs up in front of me, holding my mug, trying to stay a little bit warm.

James sits next to me and I finish my hot cocoa.

James and I end up having to take a picture together with our brooms.

"The Potter siblings won the game together." The reporter says to us.

I shake my head. "We had help, Longbottom stopped most of the quaffles getting into the hoop, and Sirius got the quaffles first and passed them to me, and the other chaser helped passed the quaffles and even scored points of his own, and the beaters kept the other beaters off us." I say to him and James nods.

"But it was mostly us." James finishes.

"It was all of us." I say to James.

James shakes his head while I nod mine.

"I'll just say it was a team effort." The reporter says to us and we nod.

Once this is over, Mary and Marlene take me to the dorm room and I get changed into a warm sweater and warm black leggings, and basically anything warm.

I then cuddle with Marlene in the common room and she smiles amused.

The house party starts after a while, and everyone cheers for James, and they try for me, but I just hide, not comfortable with this.

I end up stand at a back wall with my head on the wall, trembling, wanting to hide in my room, but Marlene would just drag me back down.

"I want to hide." I say and James slings a arm around my shoulder and brings me back into the party.

I end up escaping halfway through the party, and I hide under the covers on my bed.
