"Uhhh,guys, can i talk to you?" Asked Remus. "Its important"
"Sure" said Sirius, turning to face him. James also turned with Peter.
"Well... Uh, you know my transformation? Do you mind if i do it alone from now on?"
"Yes, Remus your are friend. We want to be there for you. " said James.
Sirius frowned "your still feeling guilty about last time."
"I just don't want to hurt anyone!"
"Moony, its our choice whether we take the risk or not, we know its always going to be dangerous. You don't normally hurt anyone and besides! Wormtail is small enough to just avoid you and me and prongs can hold you of."
"What if i kill one of you!?"
"You won't!" Insisted James.
"What if we promise to leave if moony gets a bit vicious?" Suggested Sirius.
"No!" Said Remus "your not coming, that is my final word" he said as he went up to his bed.
"But reeeemus" whined Sirius , but it was no use as Remus was gone.

Sighing, the other three boys went down to the dormitory and were greeted by Molly prewett and Arthur Weasley. They both had shocking orange hair and you could defiantly mistake them to be related. Lilly Evans was next to Molly and Arthur and Molly were holding hands.
Lilly and James locked eyes for a second before breaking away.
"I'm going to go find mar, see you later molls. " said Lilly to Molly.
"Bye Lilly!" Said Molly

Remus was sitting under a tree in the grounds staring up at the moon. It was almost full, tomorrow it would be. The werewolf knew it was likely the marauders would follow him, and if they did, he would simply either put a body bind curse on them or stun them. Then they couldn't follow.

Moony wondered what they were doing now. Maybe trying to find him, maybe James was flirting with Lilly, trying to win her back again. Sirius , hopefully,was tending to his scars, but that was unlikely. He was worried the poison would start spreading again. He already had some in his bloodstream. Remus had read in a book that to much exercise can result in the poison attacking. The effects of the poison include any injury's to start seriously bleeding, fainting, coughing up blood, stomach aches, temporary blindness till the heart rate slows down and difficult breathing (not all at the same time) That's why Madame pomfrey had told Sirius not to do much exercise when his werewolf hurt him, Sirius said that that scar had always been there, maybe so had the poison. He wished Sirius was a bit more careful. When he and James had run away from filch the other day Sirius had returned to the common room struggling to breath and was extremely pale. He fainted on the way to the hospital wing.

Remus sighed, it was long past the curfew he should be in bed. Grabbing his bag he ran up to the dorm, avoiding filch as he prowled the corridors. Sirius, James and peter were already asleep, Remus climbed into his bead and fell quickly to sleep, dreaming of flying and being free and not being a werewolf.

The marauders went into the great hall fairly early and happily tucked into the food.
"You know guys, should we stop doing so many pranks?" Began James.
Sirius almost choked on his food. "You?!?! James Potter??! What have you done with my friend?!?!" Said Sirius, his eyes wide.
"Is it Lilly?" Asked Remus. James sighed and was about to answer when a red envelope dropped on the table in front of Sirius.
"I'm guessing she has something to say about the holidays?" Said James. Sirius nodded and opened the howler.

the great hall was silent and everyone's eyes were on Sirius.
"YOU FILTHY BLOOD TRAITOR! YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO OUR FAMILY! ME AND YOUR FATHER ARE BEGGINING TO WISH OUR ONLY CHILD WAS REGULUS! THAT YOU DIDN'T EXIST! HOW DARE YOU RUN AWAY WITH YOUR DISGUSTING FRIENDS !TALKING TO DISGUSTING HALF-BLOODS AND MUDBLOOD SCUM! I BET YOU SLYTHERIN WOULDN'T TAKE YOU NOW! YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF THE BLACK FAMILY NAME AND YOU CAN RETURN THIS CHRISTMAS. WATCH ME BLAST YOUR NAME OF THE FAMILY TREE THIS CHRISTMAS AND YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU DESERVED. I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE TO DISOWN MY FIRST BORN SON!! YOU UTTER IDIOTIC, DISGRACEFUL, HORRIBLE ANIMAL! YOU MIGHT AS WELL BE SOME MUD STUCK ON OUR SHOES. YOU ARE DISOWNED!!!

the howler tore itself up and the great hall was silent, you could hear a pin drop. Sirius was white and he stood up and walked out of the great hall, leaving his food and running to the common room.

James p.o.v

I saw my friends face go utterly white as the howler dropped in front of him. He shakily opened it and it started screaming at him. It used words like filth and blood traitor and scum it was horrible. It finished saying he had been disowned and had to come back for Christmas to see his name being blown of the family tree.

Ill invite Sirius over to my house to stay, i thought as i ran after him.

Lilly p.o.v

I was surprised when someone started throwing their best insults at Sirius black. Friend of James Potter. It was a rather horrid thing. It was a howler, Sirius held the record for most howlers. It used some mean words and said it disowned him. I didn't think people even did that anymore! Harsh.

I feel sorry for him, i saw James following him, and Remus and Peter. James, i wouldn't of broken up with him if he just grew up, maybe do a few pranks, but not as many, but you can't doubt his loyalty, even after someone's family had just called them scum and filth and blood traitors.

McGonagall p.o.v

Someone was shouting something, i was ready to issue a detention but then i discovered that it was a howler. Sirius Orion black! Ah. That's who. Poor boy, gets a lot of howlers, i imagine it must be difficult being a griffindor in the noble house of black. Hm, his mother isn't a nice women, i wonder what he did to get disowned? I must remind Albus to check he's not being abused, he returns from holidays with cuts and bruises. He always does. Apparently he falls down the stairs a lot, I have a bad feeling about his family.

Remus p.o.v

Another howler?? I suppose she's angry at him for running away. I feel really sorry for Sirius, abused at home and not even left alone at school. But i know he hates to be pitted so i don't say i feel sorry for him. His mother has a , um, nice vocabulary. Very harsh. Oh, and Sirius was disowned, and its our fault. I didn't think that would happen.

Me, James and Peter follow the running Sirius out of the great hall.

Third person p.o.v

Sirius was sitting on his bed in the dorm. This Christmas is going to be fun' he thought to himself. Suddenly Remus, Peter and James came rushing in to Sirius, spotting him lying on his bed looking up at the ceiling. He didn't seem to see the other boys come running in until he felt a comforting hand on his shoulder. Remus looked down at Sirius with worry as he put his hand on his shoulder. James faced Sirius with a troubled expression and Peter watched with concern.
"You okay pads?" Asked James
"Yeah" Sirius replied, sighing
"Sorry" Remus said
"Why?"
"Well, its sort of James and my fault for coming to get you, that's probably why she disowned you, sorry."
"No. Its not your fault! Or James'! If you hadn't come they would probably of killed me!" Exclaimed Sirius
"But your disowned..." Started Remus
"He can come stay with me!! Mum and dad won't mind!" Said James
"Better than the blacks!" Replied Sirius, smiling at his friends. But they could see Sirius was still upset, and he still had to return for Christmas. They worried what his family would do to him at Christmas, last time his condition was very bad and had been there for only two days.

Frank came in and smiled sympatheticly at Sirius. "Some one wants to see you Sirius, ill tell him if you don't want to see him, but he really wants to see you"
"Who is it" asked Sirius
"Regulus black"
Sirius sighed and got up walking over to the door and going outside, he saw regulus waiting for him.
"What do you want" Sirius snarled
"Um, i heard the howler" said regulus.
"Im sure everyone did"
"Your not disowned yet Sirius, show them you can be a true back. Invite a friend of yours over, i will tell mother of the plan, and kill them in front of them! You wont be disowned!"
"No!!! I would never do that to a friend. Never! You disgust me! I don't care, disowned or not, im loyal. " Sirius shouted, his eyes were furious as he stormed back into the dorm.
"You alright Sirius"
"Regulus" Sirius grunted "trying to get me to turn against my friends, surprised you couldn't hear my shouting"
"We did, but we couldn't understand what you were saying except you disgust me and loyal" peter said as Sirius smirked.

Remus, Sirius , James and peter were arguing in the common room. They were convinced that moony wouldn't hurt anyone, but remus wasn't so sure.
"I will stun you, i don't want to hurt you again!"
"Moony. We. Are. Coming. With. You" Sirius said.
"Fine! Stupify!" Remus bent over his friends and checked their pulse. He carried them up to bed and put their blankets over them. They were fine, just unconscious, Remus was filled with regret as he left chocolate by their beds (for the second time that year) and hurried to madame pomfrey.

Enclosed in the shrieking shack Remus felt the flash of pain surge through him as he fell to the floor. Fur sprouted out of him as he gasped in pain, looking at the cruel moon. Remus let a final gasp of pain escape him as he raised his head and howled at the moon, no longer Remus John lupin, but a deadly werewolf.

Waking up in the hospital wing, lupin saw he was worse than normal. Obviously because he was alone. But at least his friends were safe.
"Remus! Moony! Moony! Moony" shouted James, Sirius and peter as they ran into the hospital wing. Remus guilty avoided their gaze.
"You alright?" Said Sirius
"Sorry" Remus apologised
"Ah don't worry about last night, forgotten already!" James assured him as peter and Sirius nodded passionately.
"If we come next time" James added.
Remus sighed and smiled
"Yeah"
"Yay!" Sirius announced happily.
