Remus was tending to his owl in his bedroom, its wing had been injured when it returned from sirius' house. He had an idea of how it had happened and he hoped his parents hadn't been angry at Sirius for receiving the letter. Sirius probably didn't even see it. Remus was upstairs as he was annoyed at his parents, they had told him to stay away from the black family. Blacks didn't generally have a good reputation around muggleborns or half bloods. Even some pure blood family's like the potters didn't like the black family! As much as remus tried to convince them Sirius wasn't like the other blacks they weren't so sure but remus was.

Remus hoped james and peter hadn't already owled Sirius, he thought it might make it worse if they did. So Remus borrowed his mothers owl to send them both messages.

Dear james,
Please don't owl Sirius, i have and my owl came back very injured. I think i may of made sirius' home life worse. Even if you worried, i think its best if we wait, its only another 5 days, sirius will be fine.
Remus

Remus copied out the letter to peter and sent his mums owl away hoping it reached james before he did something really stupid, he wasn't so worried about peter, but he wanted him to know to.

Well, I've owled padfoot and my owl hasn't returned yet. Im sure letters cant make it worse. What do you think about breaking padfoot out of there. We could take my invisibility cloak, it would be fine! I have a foolprooth plan!

Using his dads owl, James quickly sent the letter away, not at all worried about what remus would say. He was breaking him out of his parents house. No matter what. That was what friends were for. Breaking you out of evil prisions! Glancing at the calendar he noticed remus was right, five very long days for pads.very very long days. He was going tonight whether remus liked it or not, whether he even replied. Even if Sirius hadn't replied. James wanted to see sirius, so if sirius said he didn't mind his parents, he would come and visit! If sirius said his parents were horrible, he would break him out!

James, being james and believing he is achievable of anything, was going to save pads at midnight. When pads evil parents would be asleep and when his own nice parents would also be asleep. It would be perfect!

Sirius sat on his bed staring at the wall, his stomach rumbling with hunger. 2 days, 2 days he had gone without even a crumb of food, it didn't help that when sirius was afraid, he didn't eat as well. Something he now deeply regretted. A week and 2 days without much/no food. Surely he would be dead by the end if the week, whether he died of starvation or his parents killed him. "Hopeful" Sirius hoarsley nurtured to himself.

Pressing the wet paper against his side he winced. Sirius has found a old water bottle and some paper tucked away and was using it against his cut. It happened alot. But it still hurt. He wondered how long that water had been there, and paper instead of cloth wasnt ideal. Magic would also help.  They had run out of ink the this morning and when they were angry with Sirius (which was always) they just used his blood. Therefore a long scar ran from his collarbone diagonally down to his waist. Sirius was worried it would become infected so he cleaned it with the paper and old water every night. Why did water make cuts sting? He moaned or himself.

Observing his appearance in the mirror he stressed about how to hide it from his friends. It was going to be difficult. He had his long scar, light slashes across his face, a large bruise on his leg and he was very pale and thin. This was just two days, he still had to endure five more. He was going to be a human stick, covered in red and spray painted white! With blotches of bruises.

Five very long days.

Peter received remus' owl just before he was about the owl sirius and that stopped him. He trusted remus' judgement. Maybe he would just get Sirius something to make up for not writing. Just in case he could have wrote and remus' owl just crashed into something. Yes, that would do. That would be nice. Maybe some chocolate. It worked to cheer him up when remus gave it to him.

Remus' received james owl quickly, they lived close and sighed as he read the message. No doubt james would go ahead and do it whatever so remus might as well be there.

Your idea is stupid, reckless and idiotic. You have a strong chanve of death. So i don't doubt you going to do it whatever is in this letter. So ill come along and hopefully stop to much trouble happening. My honest opinion is you probably shouldn't do it but if you are going to go ahead and do it, count my in.
Remus

Happy with his reply remus sent his owl to james his house. A short journey which would be fine on his wing (healed by magic). Secretly, although he pretended not to approve, Remus was glad james had suggested this, he wanted to get sirius to. He did feel bad for sirius, he didn't think it was fair. Life just wasn't fair.

Telling his mum he was going for a sleepover at james house (she was more than happy, the potters were a friendly family and she was happy with their son) remus set of to james house eager to free sirius.

"Right" james importantly announced. "Tonight we are on a mission to free padfoot and rid him of his foul beastly bitches. Using my amazing skills and awesome invisibility cloak we will go to his house and free him. Maybe even explode his house!!"
"Discreetly?" Questioned an unsure remus suddenly rethinking this 'foolprooth' plan.
"Errrr maybe" replied James.

Remus sighed but knodded already, he had a bad feeling about this plan and james 'amazing skills'.
