After hours of trying the boys where now staring at the parchment.
"Fred, we've been bested by paper!" George exclaimed breaking his eyes away and looking at his brother.
"And we aren't any closer to solving it than we where yesterday!" Fred finished. Dean looked as though he might explode any minute from thinking too hard!
"Are we sure it begins with I promise and not something super old fashioned like, I solemnly swear?" The parchment sparked and all three boys noticed. "I solemnly swear?" Dean attempted again. The parchment sparked again.
"That's it! That's how it starts!" Fred clasped the shocked Dean-Thomas on the back.
"I solemnly swear I'm gunna fuck shit up!" Fred tried. The parchment sparked, but that's all.
"I solemnly swear to be bad!" George wailed.
Spark.
"I solemnly swear this is a lie." Dean said with defeat in his voice. "Are you guys sure it isn't just a pranking paper?" Dean asked looking mopey.
"Would Filtch label a prank paper, 'dangerous'?!" The twins asked in unison. Dean nodded quickly. The three of them looked at the parchment in defeat. Students started filing into the dorm again and the twins hurriedly shoved the parchment under their bed.
