~Asgard, Hundreds of Years Prior (physically look about 16-17)~

"I'm bored." Olivia announced. She and Loki were walking around the palace aimlessly. They had finished their lessons for the day and had nothing else to do.

"Library?" Loki suggested.

"Nothing sounds interesting right now." Olivia claimed.

"Trip to Midgard?"

"Bubonic Plague is in Europe, remember? I don't wanna mess with that."

"Mmm.... I've got it." Loki said, brightening up.

"What?" Olivia asked as they walked between one of the pillars in the throne room. Loki summoned two colored pens, one green and one red. "What do we do with these?"

Loki simply pointed above them at the mural on the ceiling.

"We draw on it." He said.

"Do you realize how much trouble we'd get in?" Olivia asked.

"These pens are enchanted. The marks they make are permanent until I simply perform a spell to make it vanish. Here, look." Loki explained, before walking over to one pillar and drawing a squiggly line on it with the green pen. He waved a hand and with a shimmer, the mark disappeared like it had never been there in the first place. Olivia's eyes lit up in excitement.

"It's perfect! But how do we get up there?" Olivia asked.

"We use the levitation spell. Like this." Loki said, before waving his hands as a green shimmer enveloped Olivia's boots. She lifted off the ground, a little wobbly but otherwise stable. Loki let her down after a moment.

"Okay, do you wanna go first?" Olivia asked.

"Sure. Whay color do you want?" Loki asked her, holding out the pens to her. She smiled before going for the green pen. Loki kept a grip on it, though. "No, that one's mine."

"Then why did you offer it up?" Olivia asked, keeping a hold on the pen as well.

"Because I could."

"Oh, no, you're not gonna win that easily."

"Try me."

"Fine." Olivia said, smirking and pulling on the pen again. Loki's grip remained tight. He smiled at her.

"You're gonna have to try a little ha- what?" Loki started to taunt, before he saw an almost sinister grin spread on Olivia's face. Keeping her hold on the pen, she leaned in and pressed her lips to his, kissing him passionately. A little surprised at first, Loki eventually shut his eyes and kissed her back. Olivia smiled into the kiss as she pulled the pen from Loki's grip as his hold on it had faltered. She pulled away, teasingly wiggling the pen between her fingers with a huge smirk on her face.

"What was it you were saying, love?" She asked. Loki looked from her face, to the pen in her hand, then the lone pen in his own hand. He looked back at her, a little shocked that she managed to... No, he'd never dare admit she'd tricked him. That was his thing. Then again, he loved it when she acted devious. Loki couldn't fault her for learning from him.

"Alright, you win." He said, raising his hands in surrender with a smile on his face. "Now lift me up."

Olivia waved her hands and Loki felt himself start to lift off the ground. She carefully eased him upward until he was a little less than arm's distance from the mural.

"Finish quickly, this isn't easy to maintain." Olivia called. Loki pulled out his red pen and started drawing on the family mural. Most of it was pretty childish, but that's what made it funny. Making Odin look like a doofus, drawing flies buzzing around Thor, a heart around his mother, and stars around him. Lastly, he added small red hearts around the portrait of Olivia.

"You can bring me down now." Loki said. Olivia slowly brought him down, letting out a strained breath at the energy it cost. "Are you alright?"

"I'm okay. Just give me a second." Olivia said.

"I've never really taken a good look at that mural before." Loki commented.

"Oh?"

"There's a bit about a peace treaty with Jotunehim. I wonder what that's all about? Was there some sort of trade involved?" Loki wondered aloud.

"I don't know. I doubt Odin would tell us, though." Olivia said, taking a deep breath. "Okay, you can lift me up now."

Loki complied, starting to lift Olivia towards the mural. Once she was at a good distance away, she pulled out her pen. And she started laughing.

"Oh gods, I love it. It's hilarious." She commented about Loki's handiwork.

"I'm the God of Mischief for a reason, dove." Loki said back. Olivia chuckled before she started to draw. There wasn't much she wanted to add; Loki's editions were already perfect. Just a few details like giving Thor huge eyes and drawing large hearts around Loki. Once she was finished, Loki let her down.

"It's perfect." Olivia said, looking up at their work.

(Just imagine Olivia is to the left of Loki, right underneath Frigga with tiny red hearts drawn around her. Maybe just her with her hands clasped in front of her, idk. Use your imaginations)

"Didn't you used to be right in the middle of Thor and I?" Loki asked.

"Probably. Frigga probably had someone change it after you started courting me." Olivia said.

"How long do you think it will take for Odin to notice it?" Loki asked. Olivia looked thoughtful for a moment.

"I'd give it four months." She decided.

"I'll say six." Loki said.

Seven and a Half Months Later~

One day, mid afternoon, Thor was on his way to the training grounds before he dropped his glove on the floor. When he went to pick it up, he noticed something reflected in the gold designs on the floor. He looked upwards to spot an oddity on the mural above the throne. Green and red marks were all over it.

It was pretty obvious who had done it.

Thor left the throne room in a hurry in search of his father. Once he did find him, he practically crashed into him.

"Thor, what-" Odin started.

"Father! The mural above the throne. It's been drawn on!" Thor said. Odin stiffened as he walked hurriedly to the throne room, Thor in tow.

"Let me see it." He said coldly.

***

"Thor saw it and ran for Father." Loki said to Olivia.

"Saw what?" She asked.

"The mural." Loki replied. Olivia's eyes widened as the pair of them ran to the throne room and hid behind two pillars. Odin walked in through the opposite side, Thor right behind him. He looked up at the ceiling.

It took him a minute, but once he saw what the marks were, he knew pretty quickly who the culprit was.

"LOKI!!!" He bellowed. Loki glanced at Olivia, biting his lip.

"Darling, what's wrong?" They heard the soft voice of Frigga ask.

"Clean it!" Olivia hissed. Loki nodded and waved his hand. The marks on the mural faded away. They poked their heads very slightly out from their hiding spots. Frigga approached her husband and son with worry on her face.

"That!" Odin said, pointing to the mural above him. Frigga looked up, her expression unchanged.

"It looks fine to me." She said. Odin looked up at the mural to find it completely pristine. He started stuttering.

"But-I...what?" He said.

"I think you imagined it, dear." Frigga said, walking away.

"Mother, no, wait!" Thor said, chasing after his mother.

Behind their pillars, Olivia and Loki tried their hardest to contain their laughter, overtaken in silent stitches. As soon as they saw Odin leave, they burst out laughing.

"Seven and a half months!" Loki said.

"That's a month and a half longer than you thought. I gave him way too much credit with four." Olivia said, crying with laughter.

"And, technically, Thor was the one to actually see it. I wonder how much longer it would have stayed up if he hadn't?"

"I bet it would have stayed up for almost a whole year!"

"I think that's once again overestimating Father."

They continued their fits of laughter until they finally calmed down, taking deep breaths and wiping their eyes. Olivia scooted closer to Loki, curling up next to him on the floor. He wrapped both his arms around her and buried his face into her hair.

"Library?" Olivia suggested.

"Sure."

I realized as I was writing that beginning about the Plague that it was too coincidental to not include.

Stay safe and be smart, kiddos :)
