💙 Civil War (Part 2)
"What do you mean you were a Winter Soldier?" Sam asked. Carson took a shaky breath.
"I was the trial run for the program. That is how I got the Super Soldier Serum in the first place. After the rebellion, they put us in Cryostasis and left us to rot. I was found by the German base I originated from before they put false memories in my head about who I was. I was transported to Sokovia not long after that." He turned to Bucky "We went on a mission together as part of my testing. I do not remember what it was, though."
"Dear God...." Sam muttered.
"So what do we do from here? We are four fugitives, two Winter Soldiers, three people with the Serum..." Carson asked.
"If we call Tony..." Steve suggested.
"No, he won't believe us." Sam replied.
"And even if he did, who knows if the Accords would let him help." Carson added.
"We're on our own." Steve said.
"Maybe not. I know a guy." Sam said.

~Queens, New Yor~
"Hey, May." Maya greeted as she and Peter walked into the Parker's apartment. She and Peter were studying together that day.
"Mmm. Hey. How was school today?" Aunt May replied.
"Okay. We have an Economics test on Friday that we need to study for so-" Peter replied before he noticed Tony Stark sitting on the sofa. "Mr. Stark? What are... what are you--what are you--what are you doing here?"
"Look, let me be straight with you. Cap's on the run with Sam and Carson and the Winter Soldier is loose with them. Sam, Cap, and Carson refuse to sign those Accords I was telling you about, right? First of all, we need to find time for you both to sign them." Tony started.
"But we're just teenagers and this is a reallg massive political document and I-I-I haven't even signed so much as a car lease or a loan statement or-" Maya started sputtering.
"I spoke with your parents and they're on board with it. You both can sign on the flight over."
"Over where?" Peter asked.
"Mr. Stark's taking you to Germany on a special mission." Aunt May clarified.
"We can't go to Germany!" Maya protested.
"Why?" Tony asked.
"Because we have... Homework." Peter half-heartedly replied.
"I'm gonna pretend you didn't say that."
"I'm---I'm being serious! We can't just drop out of school!" Maya said.
"Have your teachers email the lessons, Peter. This is something really important and Mr. Stark needs you both. You parents are okay with it, Maya." Aunt May said calmly.
Maya and Peter glanced at each other before sighing.
"Can I get my things first?" Maya asked.

"Not sure you understand the concept of a getaway car." Sharon said as Steve pulled the four of them up in a battered old car.
"It's low profile." Steve shot back.
"Good, because this stuff tends to draw a crowd." Sharon said, before opening her trunk to reveal Steve, Carson, and Sam's stolen gear.
"Can you move your seat up?" Bucky asked Sam.
"No." Sam said flatly. Sighing, Bucky scooted over closer to where Carson was sitting. Luckily for Carson, Bucky didn't notice the light blush creeping up on his face.
Steve and Sharon shook hands and parted ways, Steve throwing their gear in the trunk of their getaway car.
"So where do we go from here?" Sam asked.
"We're meeting a few people at the local airport." Steve said.
***
~Airport~
"Cap." Clint Barton greeted as the small team of four got out of their getaway car.
"You know I wouldn't have called If I had any other choice." Steve said.
"Hey man, you're doing me a favor." Clint replied as Wanda and Pietro stepped into view.
"Thanks for having my back." Steve said to the twins.
"It was time to get off out asses." Pietro said.
"How about our other recruit?"
"He's rarin' to go. Had to put a little coffee in him, but... he should be good." Clint said as he moved to the grey van he had. Opening the door, a man lay stretched out on the seats asleep. Carson knew it was Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man. Sam had told Carson about him.
"What timezone is this?" Scott asked as he got out of the van, spotting Steve. He went over and started to vigorously shake his hand. "Captain America."
"Mr. Lang."
"It's an honor. I'm shaking your hand too long. Wow! This is awesome! Captain America." Scott turned to the twins. "I know you, too. You're great! Jeez. Ah, look, I wanna say, I know you know a lot of super people, so... thinks for thanking of me." Scott then turned to face Sam. "Hey, man!"
"What's up, Tic Tac?" Sam greeted.
"Uh, good to see you. Look, what happened last time when I..."
"It was a great audition, but it'll... it'll never happen again."
"They tell you what we are up against?" Carson asked.
"Something about some... psycho assassins?" Scott asked.
"We're outside the law on this one. So, if you come with us, you're a wanted man." Steve warned.
"Yeah, well, what else is new?"
"We should get moving." Bucky said.
"We got a chopper lined up." Clint said.
"Dies ist eine Notsituation. Alle Passagiere müssen den Flughafen sofort evakuieren. (This is an emergency. All passengers must evacuate the airport immediately.)" A man on the airport intercoms said.
"They are evacuating the airport." Carson translated.
"Stark." Sam grimaced.
"Stark?" Scott asked.
"Suit up." Steve ordered.

"Do we really have to fight Cap?" Maya whispered next to Peter, both of them were hidden behind some crates until Tony called for them.
"He's a criminal now. Doesn't wanna sign the papers, helping the Winter Soldier who bombed the UN." Peter replied.
"But those are our friends. Cap, Wanda, Carson, Pietro... I don't know if I can..." Maya said, pursing her lips.
"I don't like it either, but we have to do what Mr. Stark told us." Peter said. They crept out a little bit to maybe listen in on what was going on. Steve was surrounded by their team.
"Anyway, Ross gave me 36 hours to bring you in. That was 24 hours ago. Can you help a brother out?" Tony asked.
"You're after the wrong guy." Steve said.
"Your judgment is askew. Your old war buddy killed innocent people yesterday."
"And there are six.... five more super soldiers just like him. I can't let the doctor find them first, Tony. I can't."
"Steve... you know what's about to happen. Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?" Natasha asked.
"All right, I've run out of patience. Underoos!" Tony called.
"Oh, here we go!" Peter said, swinging out and snatching Steve's shield and binding his hands in webbing. Maya ran out behind him to stand next to Nat.
"Nice job, kid." Tony praised.
"Thanks. Well, I could've stuck the landing a little better. It's just the new suit... Well, it's nothing, Mr. Stark. It's--it's perfect. Thank you."
"Yeah, we don't really need to start a conversation."
"Hey, everyone." Maya greeted.
"...Good job."
"Ah, geez. Tony, you brought the kids into this?" Steve asked. "You've been busy."
"And you've been a complete idiot. Dragging in Clint. 'Rescuing' the twins from a place they don't even want to leave, a safe place. I'm trying to keep.... I'm trying to keep you from tearing the Avengers apart." Tony argued.
"You did that when you signed." Steve replied.
"Alright, We're done. You're gonna turn Barnes over, you're gonna come with us. NOW! Because it's us! Or a squad of J-SOC guys... with no compunction about being impolite."
Steve looked to the side for a minute before raising up his hands. An arrow shot through and broke the webbing around them. Then someone expanded off of Steve's shield, knocking Peter over. The man grabbed the shield and handed it to Steve.
"Whoa. What--what the hell was that?" Rhodey asked.
"I believe this is yours, Captain America." The man said.
"Oh, great. Alright, there's three on the parking deck. One of them's Wanda, I'm gonna grab her. Rhodey, you want to take Cap?" Tony asked.
"Got three in the terminal, Wilson, Ambrose, and Barnes." Rhodey replied.
"Barnes is mine." T'Challa said, darting away.
"Hey, Mr. Stark, what should we do?" Maya asked.
"What we discussed. Keep your distance. Web 'em up." Tony replied.
"Okay, Copy that." Peter said.
***
~Terminal~
Carson, Sam, and Bucky were running through the terminal now that the fight had started.
"What the hell is that?" Bucky asked, seeing something in the window.
"It is Peter." Carson said.
"Everyone's got a gimmick now." Sam grunted.
Peter swung through the glass wall and kicked Sam backwards. Bucky threw a punch, Peter catching his fist.
"You have a metal arm? That is awesome, dude!" He said.
"Peter, be careful!" Maya warned, bursting in through the hole in the window.
"You have the right to remain silent!" Peter told Bucky, Sam, and Carson. Mid-air Peter fended Sam off, then swung after him using his webs. That left Maya alone with Bucky and Carson.
"Do... Do we really have to fight?" Carson asked.
"I don't really wanna. You're my friend and-" Maya started to reply. Peter emerged, swinging through the rafters in the terminal, chasing Sam, who flew backwards and firing shots. Peter stopped on a high beam.
"Oh god..." Peter groaned, dodging whatever Bucky had thrown at him. "Hey buddy, I think you lost this!" He threw it back, nearly taking out Maya, Carson, and Bucky.
"Peter, careful!" Maya called back.
Sam kicked him off the beam and Peter fired a web, which sent Sam crashing to the floor. Peter webbed Sam's wrist to a balcony railing.
"Those wings carbon fiber?" Peter asked.
"Is this stuff coming out of you?" Sam asked in response.
"That would explain the rigidity-flexibility ratio, which, gotta say, that's awesome, man."
"I don't know if you've been a fight before but there's usually not this much talking."
"Alright, sorry, my bad." Peter apologized, before he swung down. Bucky and Carson jumped in the way. The pair of them and Sam fell through the glass down onto the next floor and Peter went after them, webbing them to the floor. "Guys, look. I'd love to keep this up but we've only got one job here today and we've gotta make sure Mr. Stark doesn't get mad at us."
"I'm really sorry." Maya called. Sam's Redwing caught onto Peter's webbing, sending him flying out the window. Maya lept after him, grabbing his leg.
"You couldn't have done that earlier?" Bucky asked.
"I hate you." Sam groaned.
"Okay, hold on just a second." Carson said, using his free hand to pull a small pocket knife out from his belt. He cut away at the webs, freeing his other hand. He crawled over to do the same to Bucky.
"Hey, thanks." Bucky replied with a half-hearted smile.
"Uh-uh, yeah." Carson sputtered before going over to free Sam. Once they were free, they ran back outside. They spotted Steve, Wanda, Clint, Pietro, and Scott running for the Quinjet in the fifth hangar. Once they got there, they were free.
A beam of energy stopped them in their tracks. Looking up, they saw Vision flying above them.
"Captain Rogers. I know you believe what you're doing is right. But for the collective good you must surrender now." He said. The rest of Tony's team arrived behind him, the two sides in a standstill.
"What do we do, Cap?" Sam asked.
"We fight." Steve replied with a heavy sigh. They started walking slowly over to Tony's team.
"This is gonna end well." Maya said sarcastically as Tony's team started to walk towards Steve's, who started to pick up the pace.
"They're not stopping." Peter said worridly.
"Neither are we." Tony replied.
Steve blocked a punch as Tony anded. Clint fired an arrow at Vision while War Machine flew after Sam. Bucky trades blows with T'Challa, Carson fighting alongside Bucky to keep T'Challa off of him. An explosive arrow from Clint hit Tony as Nat thew Scott. Peter swung through the air with Maya on his back, struggling to evade vehicles projected by Wanda. Bucky landed punches on T'Challa with Carson doing the same.
"I didn't kill your father." Bucky said.
"Then why did you run?" T'Challa asked.
"I do not know, maybe because being chased by a man with claws in a cat suit is intimidating." Carson mumbled.
T'Challa pulled Bucky's hand off his neck, then spun and fly-kickdd him backwards. Carson fell backwards on his butt as T'challa sprouted his claws and aimed for Bucky's neck. Wanda came in and stopped his hand, then waved her arms, sending T'Challa crashing into a passenger gangway.
Nearby, Maya and Peter were going toe to toe with Steve.
"I never said it before, but that thing does not obey the laws of physics at all." Peter said, gesturing to the shield.
"Look, Peter. There's a lot going on here that you don't understand." Steve said. "Neither of you should have had to sign that."
"Mr. Stark said you'd say that. Wow." Maya said as Peter fired his webs, which stuck to Steve's shield and ankle. He pulled and Steve slid towards him. Maya kicked him backwards, then rolls clear.
"He also said to go for your legs." Peter said.
"Because his shield is the size of a dinner plate and he's an idiot." Maya added. Steve glanced at her. "What? That's what he said."
As Steve ran to get his shield, Peter webbed his hands and pulls. Steve gritted his teeth, spun, and somersaults, propelling Peter through the air, Maya running after him. Steve caught a web and tugged Peter towards him, knocking him down with the shield. Peter recovered and Maya pulled him up on top of a gangway.
"Stark tell you anything else?" Steve asked.
"That you're wrong. You think you're right. That makes you dangerous." Peter replied. He swung down and Steve leapt to kick him backwards onto the gangway's leg.
"Guess he had a point." Steve replied as he threw his shield at the leg and the gangway fell. Peter was there to catch it, holding it up. "You got heart, kid. Remind me again where're you from?"
"Queens." Peter replied with a strained voice.
"Brooklyn." Steve replied, running away from them.
"Yeah, no crap, Sherlock!" Maya called after him.
Bucky and Carson caught up with Steve, hiding behind a plane's landing gear.
"We gotta go. That guy's probably in Siberia by now." Bucky said.
"We gotta draw out the flyers. I'll take Vision. You two get to the jet." Steve replied.
"No, you get to the jet! All of you!" Sam said over coms. "The rest of us aren't getting out of here."
"As much as I hate to admit it, if we're gonna win this one, some of us might have to lose it." Pietro said.
"This is not the real fight, Steve." Carson added.
"Alright, Sam, what's the play?" Steve asked.
"We need a diversion, something big." Sam said.
"I got something kind of big, but I can't hold it very long. On my signal, run like hell. And if I tear myself in half... don't come back for me." Scott said.
"He's gonna tear himself in half?" Bucky asked skeptically.
"You are sure about this, Scott?" Carson asked.
"I do it all the time. I mean once... in a lab. Then I passed out. I'm the boss. I'm the boss. I'm the boss. I'm the boss. I'm the BOSS!"
All of a sudden, Scott expanded to a massive size, seizing Rhodey by the leg with an excited laugh.
"Holy shit!" Peter exclaimed.
"I guess that is the signal." Carson said.
"Way to go, Tic Tac!" Sam whooped as Carson, Bucky, and Steve started running for the jet.
"We are close, keep going!" Carson yelled. A watch tower suddenly started to collapse in front of them. Before it could hit the ground, red energy from Wanda held it up. Once they got close, it started to fall again, leading them to slide underneath it, making it safely on the other side of the debris.
Natasha was waiting for them on the other side.
"You're not gonna stop." She said.
"You know I can't." Steve replied. Nat sighed, raising her arm as if to prepare to loose one of her Widow's Bites.
"I'm gonna regret this." She said, blasting something behind them. T'Challa. "Go."
The three of them managed to get to the Quinjet safely.

"Hey, guys, you ever see that really old movie, Empire Strikes Back?" Peter asked.
"Jesus, Tony, how old are they again?" Rhodey asked.
"Bout 14." Tony said.
"Right okay."
"You know that part... where they're on the snow planet... with the walking thingies?" Peter asked as he wrapped his webs around Scott's legs.
"Maybe the kid's on to something." Tony said.
"High now, Tony. Go high." Rhodey said. They flew upwards and smacked Scott in the face, causing him to fall backwards.
"YES! Ha ha! That was awesome!" Peter said, before Scott's flailing hand smacked him away to a pile of crates a ways away.
"Peter!" Maya yelled, running after him. She got over there as soon as Tony landed next to them.
"Kid, you alright?" Tony asked.
"Hey! Get off me!" Peter yelled in slight fear.
"Same side. Guess who. Hi. It's me and Maya."
"Oh. Hey, guys."
"Yeah."
"That was scary."
"Yeah." Maya replied.
"You're done. Alright?" Tony said.
"What?"
"You did a good job. Stay down."
"No, I'm good. I'm fine." Peter protested.
"Stay down."
"No, it's good. I gotta get him back!"
"You're going home or I'll call Aunt May and your parents, Maya and tell them what you did! You're done!" Tony insisted before flying off.
"Wait. Mr. Stark, wait! I'm not done, I'm not..." Peter slumped down. "Okay, I'm done. I'm done."
"We're good, Peter. We should get back to Mr. Stark's jet." Maya said.

~Quinjet~
"What's gonna happen to your friends?" Bucky asked. Steve sighed and glanced at Carson.
"Whatever it is... We'll deal with it." Steve replied.
"I don't know if I'm worth all this, Steve."
"What you did all those years . . . it wasn't you." Steve looked back at Bucky.
"You did not have a choice." Carson added.
"I know. But I did it." Bucky said solemnly.
***
The Quinjet landed outside a snow covered base next to a little caterpillar truck also covered in snow. Bucky opened one of Nat's gun racks and pulled out a gun, gripping it tightly. The three of them stood in front of the exit ramp in anticipation.
"You remember that time we had to ride back from Rockaway Beach in the back of that freezer truck?" Steve asked Bucky to cut the tension.
"Was that the time we used our train money to buy hot dogs?" Bucky asked.
"You blew three bucks trying to win that stuffed bear for a redhead."
"What was her name again?"
"Dolores. You called her Dot."
"She's gotta be a hundred years old right now." Bucky said with a smile.
"So are you guys." Carson said, wrapping his arms around their shoulders. All three of them laughed. Taking some deep breaths, the trio walked outside cautiously, scanning the area in case someone was there. The door to the base was already open.
"He can't have been here more than a few hours." Steve said.
"Long enough to wake them up." Carson said nervously. Steve lead them into the cast bunker. They travel down into the depths inside a caged elevator, which stopped in the bowls of the bunker, the doors sliding open. Steve nodded to Bucky and Carson while Steve heaved up the cage door. Bucky readied his gun and they walked along a corridor, keeping close to a wall. Bucky looked into an alcove full of junk before he, Carson, and Steve moved up some stairs. At the sound of a loud thud they spun around, aiming down the corridor.
"You ready?" Steve asked.
"Yeah." Bucky replied.
A set of double doors parted, forced open by Tony Stark of all people in his armor. Steve and Carson stared in surprise as Tony walked towards the three of them and retracted the suit's helmet.
"You seem a little defensive." Tony said.
"It's been a long day." Steve replied.
"At ease, Soldier. I'm not currently after you." Tony said.
"Then why are you here?" Carson asked.
"Could be your story's not so crazy. Maybe. Ross has no idea I'm here. I'd like to keep it that way. Otherwise, I gotta arrest myself."
"Well, that sounds like a lot of paperwork." Steve said, lowering his shield.
"It is good to see you, Tony." Carson said.
"You too." Tony turned to Bucky, still with his gun up. "Hey, Manchurian Candidate, you're killing me. There's a truce here. You can drop..." Carson nodded to Bucky so he would lower the gun. "So where are these Winter Soldiers I've been hearing so much about?"
"They should be around here somewhere." Bucky said, leading the four down a dark corridor. They found a large door slightly ajar.
"I got heat signatures." Tony reported.
"How many?" Steve asked.
"Uh, one."
The team entered cautiously, looking at the five capsules. Carson blinked a few times, remembering their faces and remembering his cryo capsule. Shockingly, every single one had a shot through their heads.
"If it's any comfort, they died in their sleep." A voice said over the old intercoms. Then the man who claimed to be from the UN emerged from behind a control room wall, a small window showing his face. He looked to Bucky. "Did you really think I wanted more of you?"
"What the hell?" Bucky asked.
"I'm grateful to them, though. They brought you here." Steve threw his shield at him, it bouncing back harmlessly. "Please, Captain. The Soviets built this chamber to withstand the launch blast of UR-100 rockets."
"I'm betting I could beat that, Zemo." Tony said.
"Oh, I'm sure you could, Mr. Stark." Zemo replied. "Given time. But then you'd never know why you came."
"You killed innocent people in Vienna just to bring us here?" Carson asked. Zemo turned to Steve.
"I thought about nothing else for over a year. I studied you. I followed you. But now that you're standing here, I just realized... there's a bit of green in the blue of your eyes. How nice to find a flaw."
"You're Sokovian. Is that what this is about?" Steve asked.
"Sokovia was a failed state long before you blew it to hell. No. I'm here because I made a promise."
"You lost someone?" Carson asked.
"I lost everyone. And so will you." Zemo said gravely before a security tape turned on. The old footage was muted in color and in sound on the even older TV. "An empire toppled by its enemies can rise again. But one which crumples from within? That's dead... forever."
"I know that road. What is this?" Tony asked.
"I know it too... But how?" Carson asked. He looked at the date on the footage.
12/16/19
December 16th, 1991
Carson's eyes went wide with remembrance.
***
Carson sat next to Bucky on a reclined chair.
"Suyeverny. Karta. Neobychaynyy. Vozvrashcheniye domoy. Klever. Desyat. Derevnya. Sboy. Zelenyy. (Superstitious. Map. Extraordinary. Homecoming. Clover. Ten. Village. Jar. Glitch. Green)." Someone said, reading from a small book.
Carson blinked. "Soldat? (Soldier?)"
"Gotovy vypolnit. (Ready to Comply)" Carson replied.
"U menya yest' missiya dlya vas. Sanktsiya i vypiska. Net svideteley. (I have a mission for you. Sanction and extract. No witnesses)."
It was nighttime next thing Carson knew. He sat on the back of the motorbike Bucky had. A car drove down a dirt road alone. As the car passed, they followed. They come alongside the car and Bucky shoots through the window, disabling it. It slams into a tree. They get off the motorcycle and go up to the car. The driver lay on the ground beside it, the door open in the crash. It's Tony's father, Howard Stark.
"Help my wife. Please. Help." Howard pleaded. Carson walked over and hoisted him up by his hair. Bucky stared at Howard's bloody face. Howard stared back pleadingly. "Sergeant Barnes?"
"Howard!" The voice of Maria Stark, Tony's mother, cries from the other side of the car. Bucky pounds Howard hard in the face with his metal fist. "Howard!" Maria cried again. But it was too late. Howard slumped over, dead. Carson put him in the driver's seat with his face against the steering wheel. Maria was in the passenger seat with blood streaked down her face. Bucky walks around and gripped her throat. Expressionless he strangled Maria. While this was going on, Carson walked up and aimed a gun at the surveillance camera, shooting it.
Bucky walked to the car trunk and ripped it open, revealing a silver case containing several blue packets - recreations of the Super-Soldier serum. They took the case, got back on the motorcycle, and sped off.
Back at the base, the head of their division took the case.
"Molodtsy, soldaty (Well done, Soldiers)." He said.
***
The footage ended when Bucky shot the camera, but Carson was still reeling from the last of his memories being put into place. He didn't have much time to process the realization before Tony lunged for him and Bucky. Steve held him at bay, though.
"Tony. Tony..." Steve tried to say.
"Did you know?" Tony asked.
"I didn't know it was them."
"Don't bullshit me, Rogers! Did. You. Know?"
"Yes."
Tony stepped back, his chin jutting upwards, twitchy. Tony reengaged the Iron Man helmet before he punched Steve to the floor and deflects gunfire from Bucky, disarming him. He grabbed Bucky and flew across the chamber. He slamed him onto the floor, then jumped on his arms. Steve's shield hit Tony, distracting him. Steve barged him backwards before Tony shoulderd him to the floor and shackled his ankles. Carson, scared, haphazardly shot at Tony, who just lifted him and slamed him against a machine. Tony raised a fist but Carson, out of fear for his own survival, twisted it. A rocket shoots out of Tony's arm, causing a fireball to explode. Steve sliced his shackles as a towering structure of pipework collapsed. Tony and Carson were thrown down a level as twisted metal fell around them, showering sparks. Carson broke free, running over to Bucky.
"Get out of here!" Steve called after them out of concern for their safety. As Bucky and Carson bolted, Tony fired at them, but missed. Steve landed in front of him while Bucky hit a control panel and the silo-styled door overhead started to open. "It wasn't them, Tony. Hydra had control of their minds!"
"Move!" Tony snapped.
"It wasn't them!"
Steve grabbed Tony's ankle in mid air and started to smash it with his shield. Tony blocked Steve by shooting down rubble, then falteringly flew up the tower. Above him, Bucky and Carson leapt from platform to platform in an attempt to escape. With stuttering jets Tony gave chase, then kicked Bucky, taking aim. But the energy bolt rebounded off Steve's shield onto himself. Tony dropped like a stone and landed on a lower platform.
"He's not going to stop. Go." Steve again called after his friends. As Tony soared upwards, Steve leapt and shot a wire, which wraped around Tony's neck, dragging him back down. He deflected Steve's shield, then tried to target Bucky and Carson. Tony retracted his helmet and he shut one eye, taking aim at the opening hatch. He fired and hit the giant hinge causing it to explode, cutting of Bucky and Carson's escape route. Tony flew up, blocked two swings from an iron pipe from Bucky, then grabbed him around the neck from behind.
"Do you even remember them?" He snarled.
"I remember all of them." Bucky replied in a strained voice. Bucky pushed them both from the walkway while Steve jumped into them to deflect their fall. Bucky landed on a platform while Tony and Steve landed on the concrete floor besides an opening in the wall where snow drifts in from outside. Carson lept down after them to hopefully get Bucky outside to safety.
"This isn't gonna change what happened." Steve said.
"I don't care. They killed my mom." Tony said back. They traded punches and Tony ended up pinning Steve down. Carson picked up Steve's shield and leapt down with Bucky to help. Steve and Bucky fist fought with Tony while the shield changed hands between them, Carson huddled in a corner slightly away. Tony managed to zap Steve, who was thrown back into the wall. Bucky struggles to hold Tony at bay as he unleashed an energy beam. Bucky forced Tony against the opposite wall, gripping the glowing core in the chest of the Iron Man Suit. Carson wrapped his arms around Tony's legs to hopefully keep him at bay.
A blast of energy knocked Bucky down, his metal arm completely blown away except for a small chunk of the shoulder part. Tony zapped him again before kicking Carson off of his legs in the same location as Bucky. Carson was slightly dazed from the impact and drained. Physically and emotionally. Steve rushed Tony with his shield up and Tony fired right at it, creating a halo of light around it.
Steve and Tony continued to fist fight, going back and forth over who had the upper hand. They took a brief pause as Tony had thrown Steve back to the other two.
"They're my friends, Tony." Steve said with a shaky breath.
"So was I." Tony replied. "Stay down. Final warning." Steve struggled to his feet, raising his fists and staring Tony down.
"I could do this all day." He said.
Tony raised his left palm ready to fire. Carson grabbed his leg and Tony spun, kicking him in the face. Carson fell back over to Bucky with his nose bleeding. Steve grabbed Tony and lifted him over his head, throwing him down, punched him, and bashed his mask off with his shield before striking down hard on the suit's core. Tony looked horrified and glowered fearfully at Steve, who panted for breath. Both had blood spattered across their faces and bruises all over. Steve looked back at Tony before shutting his eyes and slumping down. The shield remained upright, stuck in the center of the Iron Man Suit.
When Steve struggled up again, he took hold of the shield, gripping the edge and pulling it free. He stepped away from Tony, who rolled painfully onto his side. Bucky lay bloodied but conscious next to Carson, who was struggling to stand. Steve reached out and pulled both of them to their feet so they could both support Bucky as Tony looked on.
"That shield doesn't belong to you. You don't deserve it. My father made that shield!" Tony yelled. Steve stopped, raised his chin, then dropped the shield on the floor with a clatter. He limped away with Bucky's arm around his shoulder, Carson holding Bucky up on the other side. Together, the three of them made their way out of the Siberian base to leave it behind.

~Later, Wakandan Medical Facility~
"You sure about this?" Carson asked as Bucky was led to the cryo chamber.
"I can't trust my own mind. So, until they figure out how to get this stuff out of my head I think going back under is the best thing... for everybody." Bucky replied with a light smile.
"I... If you are sure." Carson said, looking to the side with a slight glance and a sigh. Bucky took notice of this and his light smile changed to a smirk.
"I'll be back soon. But, before that..." Bucky gently cupped Carson's face and pressed a light kiss on his lips. Carson's eyes widened before Bucky leaned back into the cryo chamber. He winked as it closed, the cold spreading to put him to sleep.
Blushing like mad, Carson found Steve and T'Challa next to a large window.
"Thank you for this." Steve said.
"Your friend and my father, they were both victims. If I can help one of them find peace..." T'Challa replied.
"You know, if they find out he's here... they will come for him." Carson said. T'Challa chuckled.
"Let them try." He said. Steve looked down at Carson, still a little red.
"So... You wanna tell me what happened in there?" Steve asked with a smirk. Carson coughed a few times.
"No... I do not think I will... Yet." He replied.

~Queens, Peter's Room~
"So. Who was it? Who hit you?" May asked as Peter bandaged up one of his wounds as Maya did the same.
"Some guy." Peter called back "So itchy, man. God." He whispered to Maya about the bandages. She giggled.
"What's 'some guy's' name?" May asked.
"Uh... Steve." Maya replied.
"Steve? From 12-C? With the overbite?"
"No, no, no. You don't know him, he's from Brooklyn." Peter said quickly.
"Well... I hope you got a few good licks in."
"Yeah, I got quite a few in, actually. His friend was huge." Peter said.
"Like, huge." Maya added.
"Okay, tough guy. Get some rest. Maya, your parents are letting you spend the night, how does pizza sound?" May asked.
"Sounds great, May!" Maya replied as Peter projected his Spider-Man logo on the ceiling from a thing on his wrist. They both shared a smile.

A/N
To be clear, in this timeline, May knows about Spider-Man bc Homecoming happened first. But she doesn't know about the airport cause she only thinks he does "Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" things, else she'd freak out.
Hope you liked it!
