💛💦 Across the Stars (Part 4)

Far away on Utapau, Thor rode his giant lizard (he wasn't totally sure what it was) creature along the side of the cliff. Octavious was defeated and he had to get back to the Temple to help put an official end to the war. Though, suddenly and confusingly, his Clone Troops aimed their tank right at his lizard and blasted it. The rocks started to fall around him and his lizard lost it's footing.

Down they plumetted to the pools of water at the bottom of the crater. The lizard died on impact, but Thor managed to hit the water safe enough. It didn't make him any less confused, though. Why had his troops turned against him?

***

On a distant planet covered in snow, Steve Mundi led his troops into battle against hundreds of Battle Droids. Steve gestured for his troops to continue their pursuit and he charged forward. But his troops didn't. Rather, they cocked their blasters right at him.

Steve only had one moment of confusion before he was shot down.

***

Felucia was a jungle planet covered in exotic plants and flowers the size of Banthas. Jedi Master Carol Secura led her Clone Troops through the dense flora, flanked by two large tanks. They hit a small clearing and Carol stopped, sensing something... Off.

She heard her troops activate their blasters to her shock. Carol barely had time to react before she was hit repeatedly and collapsed to the ground.

***

On Kashyyyk, Valkyrie suddenly felt a terrible pain in her chest. The amount of life she could feel being lost was overwhelming. Jedi were dying all over the galaxy all around the same time. She clutched her chest in shock and fell to her knees, unable to fathom what was happening.

She had felt a disturbance in the Force not that long ago, something about Loki. Surely this couldn't be tied to that... Right?

***

Riding a speeder, Jedi Master Carson Ambrose scouted the terrain of Box Pity for any signs of hostile activity. His two troops rode speeders on either side of him, scouting as well. The one to his right got a message in his communicator, but Carson didn't think too much of it. The two troops slowed down behind his speeder in a mutual agreement.

Carson barely knew what they had done before they used the blasters on the speeders to shoot his speeder, exploding on impact.

***

On an Arial mission, Pietro Koon tried to narrowly avoid the buildings and firing droid ships on the city planet. His Clone Troops aided him on the latter task. Until their shots got a little too close for comfort. He glanced behind him to see what the issue was, thinking it was some kind of accident; his troops had never failed him before.

A few shots hit his starfighter head on, causing the cockpit to explode and crash into a nearby building.

***

Back on Kashyyyk, Valkyrie heard one of her troops get a message. She could only hear bits and pieces of it, but clear as day, she heard the trooper say "It will be done, My Lord." before he shut down the communicator. He approached Valkyrie with another trooper and they both raised their guns.

Valkyrie lept up and decapitated both of them before they could kill her. Her Wookiee companions, Tarfful and Chewbacca, gestured for her to follow to safety.

***

The Jedi Temple was in utter chaos. Clones shot down any Jedi they saw. Young, old, it didn't matter. They all had to go. Few clones fell during the skirmish because the Temple was caught so off guard. But most of the Younglings were missing, the children too young to be full Padawans quite yet, most between 3 and 10 years old. Loki figured out where they were hiding. He took an elevator up to the Council Chamber and the door slid open.

There were about 20 children in there, boys, girls, humans, and other alien species. They slowly crept out from their hiding spots behind the Council seats. One young boy Peter Parker, left his companions to approach Loki. He was a familiar face in all the chaos.

"Master Skywalker, there are too many of them. What are we going to do?" Peter asked.

Loki didn't even reply, his expression remained hard as he ignited his lightsaber. Peter took a few steps back in shock and slight fear. Loki was supposed to protect them... Right?

Tragically, his question was answered, along with all his Youngling companions'.

***

From her apartment, Olivia stood in her nightgown and watched the Jedi Temple burn from her window. The smoke reached the sky as the flames licked at the spires. She could almost smell the smoke through her closed window. C-3PO approached the pregnant Senator with caution.

"The Chancellor's office indicated Master Loki returned to the Jedi Temple. Don't worry, My Lady. I am sure he will be all right." Threepio reported with an assured tone before walking away. Olivia stared out at the carnage and burst into tears, worried about Loki. Was he safe? She sure didn't know.

***

Tony Organa rode his speeder over to one of the Jedi Temple's landing platforms. Something had gone horribly wrong and he intended to figure out what it was. He approached the squadron of Clones blocking the entrance.

"What's going on here?" He asked.

"There's been a rebellion. Don't worry, sir, the situation is under control." One clone told Tony before cocking his gun. "I'm sorry, sir, it's time for you to leave."

"And so it is." Tony obliged, heading back for his speeder. There were blaster shots behind him all of a sudden. He turned around to see a young Jedi Padawan by the name of Maya Adams cutting down Clones. They all tried to fire at her, but she only cut them down. One shot managed to hit her square in the chest and she went down. "No!

Tony lept into his speeder and flew away before things could get any worse.

***

Olivia and Loki's Apartment

Loki docked his speeder just outside of the entrance of their apartment, looking shaken but also composed. Olivia ran out to greet him with a tight embrace.

"Are you all right? I heard there was an attack on the Jedi Temple, you can see the smoke from here." She asked.

"I'm fine. I'm fine. I came to see if you and the baby are safe." Loki replied.

"What's happening?"

"The Jedi have tried to overthrow the Republic." Loki answered after a pause. Olivia took a step back in shock.

"I can't believe that." She said.

"I saw Master Fury attempt to assassinate the Chancellor myself."

"Loki, what are you going to do?"

"I will not betray the Republic. My loyalties lie with the Chancellor and with the Senate... and with you."

"What about Thor?"

"I don't know... Many Jedi have been killed. We can only hope that he's remained loyal to the Chancellor." Olivia quivered and held on tighter to Loki.

"Oh, Loki, I'm afraid." She admitted.

"Have faith, my dove. Everything will soon be set right. The Chancellor has given me a very important mission. The Separatists have gathered in the Mustafar system. I'm going there to end this war. Wait for me until I return. Things will be different, I promise." Loki said soothingly before kissing her softly. They pulled apart as Loki went back for his speeder. "Please, wait for me."

Artoo climbed back in with him after confering with Threepio for a moment. The protocol droid walked back over to Olivia. She was nervously picking at her lip, her thoughts running a million miles an hours.

"My Lady, is there anything I might do?" Threepio asked.

"No thank you, Threepio." Olivia replied, tasting blood on her lower lip. Threepio left her be after that, walking back inside.

"I feel so helpless." He said to himself.

***

Mustafar

Loki's instructions from Thanos included the approximate location of the mining spire where the last of the Separatist leaders were hiding out. Mustafar was a volcanic planet, completely made up of volcanic rock and lava. It was obviously always hot there and the sun always seemed to be blocked out by an eclipse.

Loki landed his starfighter on a landing platform and swiftly climbed out. He pulled up his hood and marched right up to the spire's entrance. His ever loyal astromech, R2-D2, tried to follow him inside.

"Artoo, stay with the ship." He ordered. Nervously, the droid wheeled back to the ship with a few worried beeps.

Loki tracked where the Separatist leaders were with the Force and found them inside a command center over a table with battle plans. He walked inside, a few Mouse Droids meant for cleaning floors ran in different directions as he did so.

"Welcome, Lord Vader. We've been expecting you." Viceroy Gunray greeted. Loki didn't reply, he simply raised a hand and used the Force to shut all the doors. They had no way out.

***

Senate Building

"...and the Jedi Rebellion has been foiled." Thanos said to the large audience of Senators, including Olivia in her seat. Tony Organa came in behind her and sat in her little pod.

"What's happening?" He asked.

"The Chancellor has been elaborating on a plot by the Jedi, to overthrow the Senate." Olivia replied, still listening attentatively. She didn't notice her friend's skeptical look.

"The remaining Jedi will be hunted down and defeated." Thanos continued with a break for applause from the Senators. Olivia didn't. She never applauded in the Senate. "The attempt on my life has left me scarred and deformed, but I assure you my resolve has never been stronger. In order to ensure our security and continuing stability, the Republic will be reorganized into the first Galactic Empire, for a safe and secure society."

The Senators clapped, but Olivia just covered her mouth in utter shock. An Empire didn't mean a Democracy. It meant a Dictatorship, and Thanos was at its head. How had diplomacy failed? How had everything plummeted so far? She turned to Tony with tears glazing her eyes.

"So this is how liberty dies. With thunderous applause." Olivia sighed.

***

Meanwhile, Loki continued his rampage in the Separatist command center. Leader after leader was cut down violently, their protector Battle Droids following suit. Each time another Separatist leader was cut down, Loki's rage further and further consumed him. He didn't notice the change, but his eye color shifted from green to a hideous yellow color. An outwards reflection of the Dark Side in his soul.

There was only one left at this point, and that was Viceroy Gunray.

"The war is over. Lord Thanos promised us peace... We only want--"

The Viceroy was cut off abruptly as Loki slashed him across his chest, killing him instantly. His job finished, Loki deactivated his lightsaber.

***

Olivia and Loki's Apartment

To Olivia's relief, Thor was alive. He landed his starfigher outside of her apartment and they greeted each other with the usual friendly formalities. Then the topic shifted to Loki.

"When was the last time you saw him?" Thor asked.

"Yesterday." Olivia replied simply.

"Do you know where he is now?"

"No."

Thor could tell she was lying through her teeth. He knew she and Loki had a close connection and Olivia wouldn't give him up if it was something serious. Still, Thor pressed.

"Olivia, I need your help. He's in grave danger."

"From the Sith?"

"From himself. Olivia, Loki has turned to the Dark Side." Thor admitted.

"You're wrong! How could you even say that?" Olivia asked, appalled. Thor sighed and stood up from the sofa. He didn't meet her gaze.

"I have seen a security hologram of him... killing younglings." Thor said, covering his mouth as if in thought.

"Not Loki! He couldn't."

"He was deceived by a lie. We all were. It appears that the Chancellor is behind everything, including the war. Thanos is the Sith Lord we've been looking for. After the death of Count Beck, Loki became his new apprentice."

"I don't believe you." Olivia snapped before her tone softened to that of a scared girl. "I can't."

"Olivia, I must find him."

"You're going to kill him, aren't you?"

"He has become a very great threat." Olivia went to sit down and stared hopelessly at her baby bump. Her and Loki's child. Thor stared at her for a moment before sighing. He had assumed for a while and now he had to ask. "Loki is the father, isn't he?"

Olivia didn't meet his gaze, but let the tears fall. That was answer enough.

"I'm so sorry." Thor said, before making his way back to his ship.

***

"My Lady, let me come with you." Captain Clint Typho asked. Olivia started to board her sleek silver cruiser bound for Mustafar. She had to be sure that what Thor had said was false. It couldn't be true, right?

"There is no danger. The fighting is over, and this is personal." Olivia said.

"As you wish, My Lady, but I strongly disagree."

"I'll be all right, Captain. This is something I must do myself. Besides, Threepio will look after me."

Olivia got into the co-pilot's seat as Threepio began to take off. She rested her head in her hand, the stress giving her a headache. What neither of them knew was that Thor stowed himself away in a traveling compartment. If Olivia wasn't going to tell him where Loki was, she may as well show him.

***

Mustafar

The hologram of Thanos shimered to life in front of Loki.

"The Separatists have been taken care of, My Master." He reported.

"It is finished, then. You have restored peace and justice to the galaxy. You have done well, Lord Vader." Thanos praised.

"Thank you, My Master."

"Send a message to the ships of the Trade Federation. All droid units must shut down immediately."

"Very good, My Lord."

The hologram shut off just as an alert pinged on the monitor. Loki went over to look at it, seeing Olivia's ship inbound. He ran outside to meet her on the landing platform. She ran out of her ship in a maternity shirt and pants, showing off her pregnancy that was very close to completion. They embraced tightly once they met in the middle.

"I saw your ship. What are you doing out here?" Loki asked with concern.

"I was so worried about you. Thor told me terrible things." Olivia explained.

"What things?"

"He said you turned to the Dark Side. That you... killed younglings."

"Thor is trying to turn you against me."

"He cares about us."

"Us?" Loki asked. Did that mean...?

"He knows. He wants to help you." Olivia paused as Loki smiled. Usually that would make her feel happy, but it unnerved her now. "Loki, all I want is your love."

"Love won't save you, Olivia. Only my new powers can do that."

"At what cost? You are a good person. Don't do this."

"I won't lose you the way I lost my mother. I've become more powerful than any Jedi has ever dreamed of and I've done it for you. To protect you."

In a last ditch attempt to sway Loki away, or at least for her to put off accepting what was in front of her, Olivia continued, embracing Loki tightly.

"Come away with me. Help me raise our child. Leave everything else behind while we still can." She pleaded.

"Don't you see, we don't have to run away anymore. I have brought peace to the Republic. I am more powerful than the Chancellor. I can overthrow him, and together you and I can rule the galaxy. Make things the way we want them to be." Loki assured her. Olivia let go of Loki, stepping backwards as the acceptance and fear settled in.

"I don't believe what I'm hearing. Thor was right. You've changed."

"I don't want to hear any more about Thor. The Jedi turned against me. Don't you turn against me."

"I don't know you anymore!" Olivia said, starting to break down into sobs. "Loki, you're breaking my heart. You're going down a path I can't follow."

"Because of Thor?"

"Because of what you've done... what you plan to do. Stop, stop now. Come back! I love you!"

Loki's expression turned into rage as he looked over behind her.

"Liar!" He yelled at her. Olivia turned behind her to see what had set Loki off. Thor stood at the top of the ramp of her ship. She didn't know he was here, and it certainly wasn't helping her.

"No!" She protested.

"You're with him! You brought him here to kill me!"

"No! I-" Olivia tried to say, but she suddenly couldn't breathe. Her hands went to her throat as she tried to break out of the Force Choke Loki had used on her.

"Let her go, Loki." Thor demanded. "Let. Her. Go."

"Loki..." Olivia said weakly. Loki finally relented and released Olivia. The sudden rush to her lungs after almost too much time without being able to breathe led her to pass out. She collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

"You turned her against me!" Loki accused Thor.

"You have done that yourself." Thor replied as Loki dropped his cloak in preparation for a fight.

"You will not take her from me!"

"Your anger and your lust for power have already done that." Thor dropped his cloak as well. "You have allowed this Dark Lord to twist your mind until now... until now you have become the very thing you swore to destroy."

"Don't lecture me, Thor. I see through the lies of the Jedi." Loki snapped as Thor went over to Olivia. She was unconscious, but alive. Though he could sense something was off about her. "I do not fear the dark side as you do. I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new Empire."

"Your new Empire?" Thor stood up.

"Don't make me kill you..."

"Loki, my allegiance is to the Republic, to democracy!"

"If you're not with me, you're my enemy."

"Only a Sith deals in absolutes. I will do what I must." Thor said, pulling out his lightsaber.

"You will try." Loki replied as he lept up and ignited his own lightsaber. Thor turned his on just in time and the two former allies started duking it out with fast paced saber blows.

Thanos' Office

Two red guards stood at the entrance to the office, unwavering and completely silent. That is, until they collapsed to the ground all of a sudden. Thanos turned his chair to see what the issue was to see Valkyrie standing at the entrance.

"I hear you have a new apprentice. Emperor Thanos." She said.

"Master Valkyrie, you've survived." Thanos sneered.

"Surprised?"

"Your arrogance blinds you, Master Valkyrie. Now you will experience the full power of the Dark Side."

The Dark Lord raised his arms, and Force Lightning shot out, surrounding Valkyrie. She was picked up and thrown across the room, hitting the wall and sliding down in a crumpled heap. Thanos stood up and approached the felled Jedi.

"I have waited a long time for this moment, my Jedi friend. At last, the Jedi are no more." He taunted as Valkyrie staggered to her feet.

"Not if I have anything to say about it." She said, using a Force Push to launch Thanos back to crash into his chair. "Your rule is at an end, and it wasn't short enough."

Thanos tried to run to the exit, but Valkyrie blocked him off, igniting her lightsaber.

"If you are so powerful, why leave?" She asked.

"You will not stop me. Darth Vader will become more powerful than either of us." Thanos said, igniting his own blade.

"Your faith in your new apprentice may be misplaced, as is your faith in the Dark Side of the Force."

The two masters of the Force started clashing their blades, moving swiftly around the room.

***

Thor and Loki moved their fight toward the main control center. As the laser swords flew, bits of the hallway were cut up and destroyed. The pair jumped around each other, trying to get attacks in while defending themselves. View screens exploded around Loki and Thor as they worked their way into the Control Room. The fighting was beyond intense as Thor was on the defensive as he jumped up on the table view screen in the center of the room.

Loki forced Thor back into the Conference Room where the quarters were much closer. Sparks flew everywhere as Loki jumped onto the conference table. Thor slid across the table, knocking Loki over. Thor grabbed Loki's lightsaber as he fell. Thor used the Force to summon his dropped lightsaber, Loki doing the same.

***

Thanos sought refuge in the vast Senate Chamber. He got into the Chancellor's Podium and it started to rise up into the Arena. Valkyrie made a giant leap into the control pod. The sword fighting is intense in the confined space with not many places to go.

***

Thor and Loki locked their sabers. Thor put out his hand to use the Force to push Loki away while Loki put out his hand to block Thor. Both combatants were blasted backwards onto the control panels. They regained their footing and the battle continued. Loki kicked Thor away as they battled around the room, and eventually the door to the exterior was knocked open. They continued battling it out onto the balcony.

***

Valkyrie unleashed a ferocious assault on Thanos, causing him to almost go over the edge. The Dark Lord dropped his lightsaber, but recovered with a blast of energy from his hands that surrounded Valkyrie. She used her own Force abilities to block and absorb the lightning being thrown at her.

Valkyrie jumped to a lower Senate Pod as Thanos reached out with one hand. A Senate pod was released from its mooring and headed toward the Podium. Thanos used the Force to hurl pod after pod at Valkyie, who ducked and jumped from one flying pod to another.

She leapt away from the pods and used the Force to hold one pod suspended in the air. The pod spun around and Valkyrie threw it back at Thanos like a giant frisbee, who leapt away at the last moment.

Valkyrie leapt after him, but Thanos quickly turned and aimed the full force of his energy bolts at the Jedi, catching her in mid-air and throwing her back hard against the Podium. The force of the impact caused Valkyrie to drop her lightsaber. She blocked the lightning and threw Thanos backwards off the podium. Valkyrie tried to keep a grip on the edge, but she eventually let go. She fell several hundred feet to the base of the Podium. Knowing she was beaten and weakened, she hid and found a way to the air ducts to make her escape.

***

Loki forced Thor down a narrow balcony outside the Control Room. He ripped objects off the wall and threw them at Thor as he pushed him further and further along the walkway. The balcony ended, and Thor was trapped. He looked over the balcony and into a river of lava.

Loki cut a piece of the balcony railing off, along with a control panel. Alarms started blaring and a protective ray shield around the superstructure disappeared. It tumbled into the molten abyss, disappearing in a puff of smoke. A small pipe connected the Control Center to the Main Collection Plant. Thor had no choice but to tightrope-walk out across the lava river while fighting Loki.

Loki, following Thor, jumped down onto the flexing pipe, lands, and resumes fighting. The pair worked their way across the small pipe, fighting ferociously as they went. Thor slipped, threw his lightsaber up in the air, grabbed on to the pipe. He swung around, grabbed onto another pipe, retrieved his lightsaber, and landed back on the original pipe. They continued to fight across the pipe until they reach the Main Collection Plant.

Thor and Loki continued to battle on the top of the multispired collection panels, jumping from one to the other. At the end of the collection cluster, a huge spray of lava covered the attachments that held up the collectors. The frame began to melt as it began to rain lava. Both Thor and Loki ran for cover under the collection cluster. They continued to fight in the lava rain, darting from cover to attack, then quickly retreating to cover. Support for the entire structure began to fall away, and the collection cluster fell into the lava river. The Jedi continued their fight, climbing to the highest point on the tower as the rest began to melt away as it rode the swift current down the river.

It bent toward the lava as they got out toward the end. The fighting got fierce as Thor got to the end and was once again trapped. The tower slowly started to sink under the lava.

Thor realized he was getting very close to the edge of the lava falls. He grabbed a rope and leapt from the collection arm. Loki followed him as they continued their sword fight hanging from cables as they swung past each other.

From their cables, Thor and Loki both spotted something that caused them to stop fighting. The lava river ahead dropped off in a tremendous lava fall.

They could hear snapping and metal groans as the main part of the collector started to break away and move toward the lava fall. Thor looked around and saw a small floating platform making its way toward the tower. He did a double back-flip and landed squarely on the floating platform. He immediately leaned to one side and moved away from the tower.

Loki realized that he was doomed as the entire tower headed for the falls. In the distance he saw some construction droids.. He swung back to the tower, climbed up and made a running leap and miraculously landed on a worker droid. The droid was confused and chattered to his co-worker. The giant collector went over the lava flow and disappeared in the mist of sparks below.

Thor headed for the bank of the lava river, but Loki's droid was faster. He caught up with his old Master.

"I have failed you, Loki. I have failed you." Thor said.

"I should have known the Jedi were plotting to take over." Loki said.

"Loki, Chancellor Thanos is evil!"

"From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!"

"Well, then you are lost!"

"This is the end for you, my Master."

Loki jumped and flipped onto Thor's platform. The fighting continued again until Thor jumped toward the safety of the black sandy edge of the lava river.

"It's over, Loki! I have the high ground!" Thor yelled down at Loki, still on the platform.

"You underestimate my power!"

"Don't try it."

With a yell, Loki followed, and Thor cut his young apprentice at the knees, then cut off his left arm in the blink of an eye. Loki tumbled down the embankment and rolled to a stop near the edge of the lava. Loki struggled to pull himself up the embankment with his mechanical hand. His thin leather glove had been burned off. Eventually, he gave up and kept sliding down in the black sand. Thor could see that once again, his eyes shifted from green to yellow.

"You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them. Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in Darkness." Thor yelled at Loki with pain in his tone. He sighed and picked up Loki's fallen lightsaber.

"I hate you!" Loki snarled in severe pain.

"You were my brother, Loki. I loved you."

Loki's clothing blowed into the lava river and ignited. Suddenly Loki burst into flames and he started screaming in pure agony. Thor looked in horror as Loki became engulfed in flames. Thor couldn't watch him as Loki struggled to climb the embankment, covered in flames. Thor ran back to Olivia's ship as Loki dropped, smoldering, near the top of the lava pit. Thor was greeted by Threepio once he got back to the ship.

"Master Kenobi! We have Miss Olivia on board. Please, please hurry. We should leave this dreadful place." Threepio urged. Thor patted the golden droid's shoulder as he boarded the ship. He saw Olivia lying on the cot, breathing shallowly. She stirred awake for a moment.

"Thor? Is Loki all right?" She asked. Thor looked at her sadly and didn't answer. He brushed her hair back as Olivia dropped back into unconsciousness. Artoo watched over her as Thor sat in the co-pilot's station. He sat there looking pensive as Threepio piloted them out of Mustafar's atmosphere.

***

Loki tried to crawl up the bank, his body a smoking husk. A shuttle flew overhead and landed right next to him. A platoon of Clone Troopers exited the craft, followed by the now Emporer Thanos.

"There he is. He's still alive. Get a medical capsule, immediately." Thanos ordered his troops.

"Yes sir. Right away." The Clone Captain obliged.

***

Olivia's ship landed on a small outpost in the isolated world of Polis Massa. Valkyrie and Tony Organa, along with some ground crew, were waiting as the ramp lowered. Thor emerged, carrying the unconscious Olivia in his arms, followed by Artoo and Threepio.

"We'll take her to the medical center, quickly." Tony said as they ran to get to some doctors before it was too late.

***

At the same time on Coruscant, the shuttle containing Thanos, some clones, and the horribly wounded Loki reached a medical spire in the pouring rain. Loki was hooked up to an oxygen tank as he was rushed into the operating room.

***

As Olivia was placed in a surgery wing in a white medical gown, Tony, Thor, Valkyrie, and the droids were approached by a floating medical droid.

"Medically, she is completely healthy. For reasons we can't explain, we are losing her." The droid reported.

"She's dying?" Thor asked, shocked.

"We don't know why. She has lost the will to live. We need to operate quickly if we are to save the babies."

"Babies?" Tony asked.

"She's carrying twins."

***

Loki, in the medical capsule, was lifted onto a table in the Rehab Center. A swarm of medical droids immediately went to work on him. He was given two new robotic legs and a replacement arm. Most of his limbs were metal at this point.

Through their bond in the Force, Loki could feel Olivia's pain and he screamed accordingly.

***

Olivia cried in pain as she delivered her first child. The droid acting as the midwife held the squirming baby in it's arms.

"Is it a boy or girl?" The droids' female voice asked. Olivia could tell it was a boy.

"Edmure." She whispered, naming the child. Thor took Olivia's son in his arms to show her the cooing baby. She reached up to stroke his soft face with her fingers. "Oh, Edmure..."

She screamed in pain again, her second child trying to work it's way out.

"Ooh ba... Ooh ba..." The midwife droid said in a soothing voice. It repeated this a few times until Olivia cried out again. This time, she was met with more baby cries. "Is it a boy or girl?"

"It's a girl." Thor told her.

"Lyanna." Olivia breathed, her vision starting to go foggy.

***

The operation on Loki was mostly completed. He was dressed in thick, black body armor, still lying on the operating table. The last piece, the mask, dropped from above, sealing tightly around Loki's face. The fresh oxygen started to flow in and out of Loki's lungs. He took a deep, mechanical breath.

***

Taking highly labored breaths, Olivia felt tears leaking out of her fluttering eyes.

"Thor..." She breathed. "There is good in him... I know... There's... Still..."

Olivia drew in her last breath, her head slumped to the side, and her entire world turned dark.

***

The operating table began to move upwards so that Loki, now fully in the persona of Darth Vader, was standing upright. Thanos stood next to him.

"Lord Vader, can you hear me?"

"Yes, Master." Vader replied. He turned his head to look at Thanos. "Where is Olivia? Is she safe? Is she alright?"

"It seems in your anger you... Killed her."

"I-I couldn't have. She was alive, I felt it!" Vader broke his bonds to the table, and steps forward, waving his hands around haphazardly, causing objects to fly around the room. The medical droids started to break apart. Stepping away from the table, Vader sank to his knees.

"Noooo!!!!" He cried into oblivion.

***

On Tony's ship, he, Thor, and Valkyrie sat around a small confrence table to contemplate their next move.

"The children must be hidden to be kept safe." Valkyrie said gravely.

"We must take them somewhere the Sith will not sense their presence." Thor agreed.

"They should be split up."

"My wife and I will take the girl. We've always talked of adopting a baby girl. She will be loved with us." Tony said.

"And what of the boy?" Thor asked.

"Send him to his family on Tatooine." Valkyrie said. Thor nodded.

"I will take the child and watch over him."

The three people stood up from the table in adjournment.

"Until the time is right, we will disappear." Valkyrie said, effectively ending the meeting.

Naboo

All across the planet, the people mourned. It was twilight so the candles held by the people of Naboo seemed to show up more. Everyone wore black mourning clothes as the vigil progressed. In the capital city of Theed, a small crowd marched behind an open casket being pulled by four white, horse-like creatures. The Senators, Korg, a few higher born citizens, and even the Queen walked in silent procession.

They would all see Olivia, their beloved former Queen and Senator, to her final resting place. She wore a long blue gown that seemed to look like the flow of water and her hair was piled around her in a similar flow. Small blue and white flowers adorned the brown curls on her head. She looked peaceful in death, her eyes closed and her mouth in a neutral expression, closer to a small smile than a frown.

Clutched in her hands that folded over her stomach (altered to make it looks like she was still pregnant. All part of the plan to keep the twins safe) was the little Japor Snippet necklace that Loki had once gifted to her.

In a way, he would always be with her.

***

In one of the Republic cruisers, now a capital ship for the new Empire, Thanos looked out one of the windows of the command center. Vader approached him from behind and also looked out the same window. He folded his arms as they watched the construction began.

It would take many years, but their spherical battle station would be completed. And it would be unstoppable.

***

Tony's ship arrived on the docking bay of the palace of Alderaan. Carefully, he exited the ship with his precious cargo in his arms. He met his wife, Queen Pepper of Alderaan, on the balcony with the little baby girl in his arms.

Pepper took the little Lyanna in her arms and both she and her husband looked at the girl with much love in her eyes.

They would make her mother proud of her.

Princess Lyanna Organa.

HOLY JESUS BALLS THAT WAS A LOT OF WORK.

Also I cried my frickin eyes out while writing that ending, so sorry if you did, too.

I really hope you enjoyed this, this took me a lot of time to do.

(Also, if you were wondering, the media pictures were so you could know the main outfits Olivia was wearing over the course of the story. Also cause I just really love Padmé's wardrobe)

See y'all soon!
