Chapter 3: Performance
Your POV~~
"Anyways Nate, did you know about the performance part of the singing meet-up?" I asked, putting my hands in my (F/C) hoodie.
Nate shook his head, a confused look on his face,"No. Who's preforming?"
"Not sure. I hope they're good though." I lied smoothly. I knew exactly who was preforming.
Nate grinned,"Yup! By the way, we should probably get going, we have like, an hour to get there and I have no idea where it is."
Mark by now had disappeared, probably to his booth, where he was meeting some other YouTubers and his subscribers, well, some of them anyway. I nodded and looked around,"We could probably find someone to help us find our way. Otherwise we could probably just wander and find it relatively quickly."
Shrugging, he smiled,"Sure. Let's start off," He whirled around and pointed in a random direction,"That way!"
I raised an eyebrow and chuckled,"Alright, that way it is."
Walking beside him, we talked the whole way, learning more about one another, and making our way through PAX pretty easily. Occasionally people stopped us, asking for signatures or a picture, to which Nate and I smiled and let them take the picture.
We both made weird faces in one picture, then had the fan take another with us making normal smiles. We laughed, and walked off, eventually making our way to the meet up.
So many people were there, I had no clue who anyone was. I honestly wished I knew who anyone was besides Nate, since there were so many people!
We made our way into the convention, and I eventually left Nate's side, making my way to the stage. I quietly pushed my way through the crowd, being my socially awkward self.
I walked up the stairs to backstage, and started talking with some of the crew. Butterflies made their way to my stomach. I don't do crowds.
After roughly half an hour, I was told to make my way to the stage, the curtains still being drawn. I was ready to throw up. I hate big crowds. Hate them.
I took the mic from the stage managers hands, and stood there. I was singing a mellow song today, hoping to quell everyone and have them be quiet.
Taking a shaky breath as the announcer started talking, I was ready for this!
Hopefully.

Nate's POV~~
-
I was talking to someone, when I realized (Y/N) had left my side, and I had no clue where she went.
Looking around, the announcer came on, "Hello everyone! Welcome to PAX!! Today, we have a special guest performing Richard Caddock and Hyper Potions song, Distance!"
Everyone quieted. I made my way through the crowd so I could see, and my mind was instantly blown as I made it far enough forward, and saw (Y/N) on the stage.
"The air is thinner as we climb.
We've only got one, destination.
Touch the clouds and gravity's edge, and the rest is our momentum."
She was singing. In front of easily three hundred thousand people. I probably couldn't do that without a mental panic attack.
"Does it matter if I can't breath out there?
I've got memories of where we begun.
And you have followed my silouhette, that grows bigger towards the sun."
The song started to pick up, and she was growing more and more confident up there. I couldn't help but stare as she sang, her voice was stunning, and many other obviously knew it that.
"I can see your darkened eyes.
And you are still hiding your smile."
She grinned.
"Take my dismay!
Throw it away!
When you reach me, help find a way!
Look out for slopes, down the telescope.
And when you reach me, I'll let you stay!"
She was happy, walking around the stage as she sang, her grin seemed permanent on her face.
"How many times do we have to write our names in the sand, so they don't wash away?
How many times do we leave our mark? I've been worried if you'll be okay.
I can travel the world in an instant.
Even though there's a fear of the distance.
But for you I know I'll stay, right here.
"And I can see your darkened eyes.
And you are still hiding your smile!
Take my dismay!
Throw it away!
When you reach me, help find a way!
Look out for slopes, down the telescope!
And when you reach me, I'll let you stay!"
She grinned and jumped down into the crowd, the people clearing a path for her as she started a clapping along with the beat.
Eventually the beat simmered down.
"I don't want to miss you when you're sailing by.
Please tell me you're on the way.
I don't want to miss you once I've waved goodbye,"
She got back on the stage here.
"So when you reach me.
Tell me you'll stay."
