Goal: Joining Overwatch to protect the innocents

Location: Raccoon City

Y/N's POV

I stand exhausted as I stood in the middle of the street with many dead omnic and my fellow men scattered around us... I drop down on my knees as I stare in horror from what just happened

Y/N:"It happens too fast... Why... Why..." I said as I felt my body went numb

I then heard the sound of something flying as I look up and there I saw a dropship with a logo that I didn't know of... Until, I saw someone jumping out of it and landing on the building just beside me... I drop on my back as I couldn't felt my body anymore...

Y/N:'I'm going to die...' I thought as I then saw a person jumped out of the dropship as I saw something attached to the person's back acting like a wing

Angela's POV

I saw a person still alive below the streets... I jumped out and glide down to the person and sat beside him as I tried to check his pulse...but, its weak...

Angela:"Are you alright? Speak to me, please!" I said as I then saw his eyes open and stare at me weakly

Y/N:"An...angel.....I must be....dead then......my friends....I'm almost....there.....with youuuu...." he weakly whisper before he went unconscious

Angela:"Wait! No! *Tries to hear his heartbeat* *Sighs* He's still alive..." I said in relief as I saw the others walks out the building and saw me

Jack:"Angela, what happened to him?" he asked while making sure the area is clear

Gabriel:"Well, it seems like he is the only survivor from the Special Police Force..." he said 

As I look down in pity for the guy...

Gabriel:"Jack, and I should go and head to the mansion, you and the others should stay and make sure that he is not the only survivor here" he said before sprinting as Jack followed him

Angela:"Torbjorn, could you make sure that everything in our area is safe, while I will make sure that this guy's pulse is still there" I said to him as he saluted with a smirk and began walking around the streets and even sometimes laying down a turret..

Timeskip

3rd Person's POV

Y/N is still unconscious and after Gabriel and Jack came back they all left and return to their base of operations....

Y/N:"Where am I?" he asked after he woke up and saw that he is in a unfamiliar room

Angela:"You're in overwatch, Mr. L/N" she said as she walks in from the other side of the room

Y/N:"Who are you? How did you know my name?" he asked as he began to panic until he heard her chuckle...cutely...

Angela:"Well, I am Angela Ziegler" she said as he calmed down

Y/N:"The names Y/N, Y/N L/N" he said and before he could ask her something, he heard a door slid open

Jack:"I heard that the survivor is awake? Where is he?" a male voice said

Y/N's POV

Angela:"He's here, Jack" she said as I then noticed and knew Jack from one of my senior's reports

Jack:"So, Y/N L/N... Sorry for the lost of your friends in the battlefield" he said as he took a sit beside the bed

Y/N:"It's fine... We all knew what will happen anyway..." I said sadly looking down

Jack:"Angela, would you please leave us three for a sec..." he said as I then went confuse

Y/N:"Wait, three?" I asked until I saw another person walks in the room

Gabriel:"The name's Gabriel, this guy is Jack... I saw what you did during the firefight in Raccoon City, Y/N" he said as I then began to remember the screams...

Jack:"Gabriel, now is not the time to make him a soldier" he said

Gabriel:"Nor so the world against Omnics" he argued back as Jack nodded silently. "Now, we are here to make a proposal with you Y/N... Join Overwatch or just return to Raccoon City" he said as I tried to process something he just said

Y/N:"I'll....join overwatch..." I answered as I saw them both smile

Jack:"Good, welcome to the team, Y/N" he said as he slap my shoulder as I hiss a bit in pain but laugh it off

Gabriel:"Well, I should have some questions too about your skills..." he said as I am ready to answer each question

Timeskip

3rd Person's POV

In the training field, Jack, Gabrield and Y/N are sparring with their own weapons that of course loaded with blunt ammo. Y/N who is now in perfectly good shape and made friends with Jack and Gabriel and of course all the members of Overwatch

Jack:"Y/N! Why are you always using that pistol?! You know me and Gabriel will easily kick you out of the fight if you only use a side-arm weapon!" he mockingly shouted at Y/N as the training field is full of debris for cover

Gabriel:"Hey, Y/N! Don't tell me that you only brought your pistol in this fight!" he said as he hid behind a wall

Y/N:"I am! For the reason I only used a pistol is because I really hate to finish the match in a matter of seconds..." he said proudly as he sneakily and walk through the field as he uses the debris as cover...

Jack:"Then you better get ready to feel a world of pain, Y/N!" he mockingly shout

Y/N:"Is that a challenge?!" he shouted

Gabriel:"If that what suits you, Y/N!" he replied as this got the three of them to get serious...

Y/N's POV

I walked silently while keeping my eyes open and also kept listening around me...

Y/N:'If Jack is using a rifle, then he would probably attack from afar... Gabriel on the other hand is using dual shotguns, so it means that he will attack in close range...' I thought as I then looked around the area while not making it look like my head is poking out

I saw someone moved while passing by each debris as cover, I then began to hear footsteps from the other side of the wall behind me... I grab a pebble and threw it to where I saw Jack is heading....

I heard gunshots is happening as this is my cue to charge in... I sprint my way to the position from where I heard the gunshots. After some time of sprinting through the field, I used one of the debris as a ramp and ran upward

Y/N:"Hey, guys" I said after jumping through the air and saw Gabriel and Jack are doing a fist fight against each other, I aimed my pistol at them and shot each of them in the chest that is of course being protected by a bullet proof vest...

Gabriel:"Oh, you'd better be kidding me!" he said a bit disappointed as he was about to enjoy kicking Jack's ass

Jack:"Where the hell did you even come from, Y/N!" he said as he is also a bit disappointed with the same reason as Gabriel

Y/N:"Well, I jumped over you two, and there I shoot you two perfectly on the chest" I said as they both sighs and I chuckled with a smile

Jack:"Well, any tips that you could share with us?" he said as I noticed that Gabriel is eavesdropping but I pay it no mind

Y/N:"Well, my seniors always told me that to not always jump into the fray like an idiot, you should always had a plan before doing something drastic. And, use the terrain to your advantage, I think" I said as I am a bit embarrassed for telling them about basic tips...

Jack:"You're joking me, right?" he said as I just smile at him as his eyes widen to the realization. "You defeated us with just those two strategies or something!" he said in shock as I saw Gabriel faked cough and walked away from us

Y/N:"Well, yeah... But, I better get going now, Jack... Thanks for inviting me in the sparring match" I said as I began walking a different way and towards my room

Jack's POV

I groaned in frustration as I remembered what Y/N said...

Angela:"He did well, I assume?" I heard her as I look up and there I saw Angela standing while holding her clipboard

Jack:"He's special, alright... I didn't knew that he could even just take me and Gabriel out without breaking a sweat..." I said as I began heading my way to my room as Angela is following behind me

Angela:"I assume that he isn't just your friend?" she asked as I look at her over my shoulder

Jack:"Well, Y/N, Gabriel , and I are best buddies..." I said smiling

Angela:"Oh... Then, tell me when is his birthday?" she asked as I stop in my tracks after I heard that question

Jack:"Uhhh.... Well, you must be asking that question because you want to know Y/N more better, am I right, Angela?" I said as she pouted

Angela:"Excuse me? I already know him more than you and Gabriel" she said while pouting

Jack:"Well then, care to tell me when?" I asks

Angela:"*Sigh* His birthday is tomorrow, Jack" she said as my world suddenly stops...

Jack:"I.... I better buy something for his present... Bye, Angela!" I said as I began running out of the building

3rd Person's POV

Y/N is now inside his room as saw on his calendar that tomorrow is going to be his birthday, so he went out of his room as he carry a briefcase that holds his favorite pistol... The Samurai Edge...

Y/N:"Hm, where is everyone?" he asked himself as he just shrug and began to head his way out of the building...

The reason why Y/N went out is because he needs to pay respects to his parents... His parents died before his birthday, Y/N is still sadden to know about it as Overwatch didn't knew about this...

Y/N's POV

I am now standing on a bus stop, waiting for my ride to go back to America, until I saw three vans stops in front of me and men in black suit came out and grabbed me then holding me down

Y/N:"What the! Get off me!" I shouted as I try to pry them off me... "Agh! Get off!" I shouted again until I felt something needle like thing on my neck as I then began to felt weak...

???:"Now that's shall make you quiet for a long time of the journey... Bring the briefcase with us!" one of them said as the last thing I saw is that I am now being carried and placed me inside one of the vans...

Timeskip

3rd Person's POV

The next day came in, everyone in overwatch are now waiting for Y/N to come out of his room as Jack, Gabriel, Angela, Reinhardt, Torbjorn, and Ana are excited to surprise their 7th member until it took hours of waiting and this got Gabriel's temper...

Gabriel:"Alright, I'm going to get that sleepyhead and drag him here to celebrate his birthday!" he said in a annoyed tone as Jack stood up and followed him

The two made their way to Y/N's front door until they tried to open the door, but its locked

Jack:"Weird... I didn't think that Y/N will be a type of person to lock his door when he is still in the base?" he said as Gabriel get some steps back before charging and smashed the door open as he saw the not so messy room...

Gabriel:"*Groan* Where is he?" he said as he went to the bedroom while Jack went to the kitchen

Jack:"Hmmm... he didn't ate his foods?" he said as he look at the cleaned kitchen

Gabriel:"He's not in his room, he even left his phone *Shows Y/N's Phone*. Something doesn't feels right..." he said as he then ran out of the room as Jack followed Gabriel

The Both end up in the control room, as Gabriel is checking the camera footage, then they both saw Y/N on the screen as he walked out of his room with a smile and carrying a briefcase, he looks at his watch and began walking towards the exit...

Gabriel:"Where is he even going?" he said confused until they checked a camera footage that is stationed outside the base as there they continue watching Y/N walking away...

As Y/N stood on a bus stop, 3 vans stops in front of him as this blocks the view of the camera until the 3 vans left and there, Y/N is gone...

Jack:"He's been kidnapped?!" he said in anger

Gabriel:"But who?" he said as the vans has no logo on it...

Jack:"What are we going to say to the others?" he asked as Gabriel stood up from his seat

Gabriel:"We need to let them know... We must know where Y/N is... And we need all the help we can get..." he said as they both head out the control room and inform everyone that Y/N was kidnapped by an unknown group...

Since that day, it gave a devastating feeling to each of the overwatch members as some of them started to blame themselves for not noticing Y/N's disappearance but, Gabriel and Jack took it very hard because the three of them are best of friends... The two always tried to search Y/N around the world... until, the omnics began to threat humanity once again... But, they never gave up until... everything went down because of Gabriel's hunger for power...
