It was a dark and stormy night in Sacramento, California. Mary was alone in the house tonight, her parents were out of town together for a while so here she sits in the living room reading a book.
The thunder made a loud boom, causing Mary to jump up out of her seat. The family cat, Lizard was walking around in the kitchen making himself known so Mary would get up and feed him.

The cat meowed and brushed himself along Mary's legs. "Okay, Okay! I'm getting there!" Mary exclaimed. Lizard meowed again before walking away from the kitchen and into the living room. "Why would you make me get up and feed you if you were just going to go to the living room?" She asked her cat, obviously annoyed.

A flash of lightning lit up the living room with another boom of thunder causing the power to go out. Lizard jumped up and ran away into his cat tree which was right beside the couch. "Liz, will you just chill out?" She asked. The cat was looking around anxiously as Mary got up and began to look for some candles.

A knock was heard on the door, Mary was lighting candles and ignored the knock on the door. The knocking grew louder, "Jeez, just break my door why don't ya!" Mary groaned as she put down her last candle to open the door.

When she opened her door, there he was.
