Shantae, Johaar, and Bolo then go to a building of some sort, that is said, Sky's Hatchery. Johaar looks at the Hatchery, as he then spoke out.

"Oh, is this the place?"

Shantae looks at Johaar and nodded her head, as she then spoke out to him.

"Yep, it is! My friend, Sky, lives in here, and I'm pretty sure that she'll be thrilled to see a new friend like you!"

This made Johaar a little bit uneasy, as he does not know how she will react to Johaar, especially with him being a half-genie. Shantae, Johaar, and Bolo enter the hatchery, and someone is in there.

Inside of the Hatchery, is a blond woman with seemingly purple eyes, a purple cloak, jeans that have brown crossed-shaped parts on her hips, brown boots, and wears cyan and pink on her chest.

The young girl looks at Shantae and Bolo, as she then spoke out.

"Oh, Shantae, Bolo, you're here. And who is that you are dragging, Shantae?"

Sky said, as she puts her hands on her hips, as Shantae then spoke out.

"Hello, Sky. I would like you to meet my new friend, Johaar!"

Shantae let's go of his arm, as Johaar then rubbed his wrist, as he then spoke out to her.

"You have quite a tight grip on your hands, Shantae."

Shantae smiled and stuck her tongue out at Johaar, who has quite an annoyed expression on her face, and Sky looks at him, and spoke out.

"Wait...why does he have...Shantae...is he what I think he is?"

Shantae nodded, as she then spoke out.

"Yeah, it is. He's a half-genie, like me!!"

Sky was surprised to hear this, before she then goes up to Johaar, and he steps back a little bit, unsure of what Sky is thinking about inside of her head right now. She then goes up to him, and looked everywhere at him, observing all sides of his body, before he then grabs onto his ears, and moves them.

"H-Huh? What are you doing?!"

Johaar said, as she then spoke out.

"Wow, they are real! You aren't kidding when you said that Johaar is a half-genie!"

Johaar looks embarrassed, as Shantae smiled, as she then spoke out.

"I know! Cool, right?!"

Sky nodded her head, and smiled a little bit, as Johaar then spoke out.

"I hope I don't sound rude, but can you please let go of my ears? It's getting uncomfortable for me, y'know."

This made Sky look at Johaar, and he truly looks very un comfortable at what Sky is doing to his ears, as she then spoke out.

"Oh, whoops. Sorry, didn't mean to make your uncomfortable."

Sky lets go of his ears, as he shook his head, clearly unhappy with what she was doing, as she then spoke out.

"You know, I've never even seen you around from here before."

Johaar then spoke out.

"That's because I'm a traveler, and unfortunately, I need to stay on this town, because of the fact that my boat got busted."

Sky didn't need to think why this is the case.

"Risky..."

Johaar nodded, as he spoke out.

"Yeah."

Shantae then spoke out to Sky.

"He has also been on the run from Risky and the Barons for a year."

This made Sky shocked, as she then spoke out.

"Wait, for real, you've been on the run from the Barons and Risky, for an entire year?!"

Johaar nodded, as he rubbed the top of his head.

"Yeah, I have. And it is very stressful to run from them, due to the fact that I run more then I rest, I act paranoid that they might be somewhere on the area that I am at, and the fact that I...unfortunately cannot make a home for myself."

This made Sky look sad at Johaar, and she then spoke out.

"Oh, sorry to hear that."

Johaar shrugged, as he then spoke out.

"It's fine. Not like you are responsible yourself anyway."

Bolo then waved his hands and spoke out.

"Well, besides from that, we should get moving, like now!"

Johaar nodded, as Shantae then spoke out.

"Yeah, about that. Sky, we need your help in something, and that is to travel to Mermaid Falls. There is some pretty bad trouble there, and we figured that you could help us get to that place."

Shantae then hands Sky a map to Mermaid Falls, as Sky looks at it, before she then spoke out.

"A Map to Mermaid Falls. Are you sure you want to do this? And what about your friend, Johaar?"

Shantae smiled, as she then spoke out.

"Johaar can do great. You should have seen him fight! He even took on Risky himself!"

This made Sky look interested, as she then spoke out.

"Well, I'll be, he can hold himself. Okay, I'll just need to-"

But before she can finish her sentence, a male voice spoke out.

"Hold it!"

The group turned around, and they see Mayor Scuttlebutt come in, and he then spoke out.

"I'd like to introduce you to someone."

Then, someone came inside of the Hatchery, and Johaar got a good look at who it is that has entered.

Standing before the group is what seems to be another Half-Genie, wearing white baggy shorts, has orange pigtails, green sleeves that are detached from her green shirt, and has someone of an arrogant expression on her face.

Johaar narrowed his eyes, as he thought to himself

'Her magic...it feels...wrong. What is she? She looks like a Half-Genie, yet does not feel like one.'

Shantae then looks at the girl, and she then spoke out.

"Umm...Hello. Who are you?"

The girl looks at Shantae, and spoke out in a somewhat mocking tone.

"Oh, you don't know? How sad. I'm your replacement, of course!"

This made Shantae stunned, as she then spoke out loud.

"What?!"

The girl smiled, as she then spoke out.

"Holly Lingerbean, Half-Genie for hire! But you can call me Holly."

Shante, a little suspicious and unsure of the lady before her eyes, spoke out.

"Your mother was a genie?"

Holly nodded, as she then spoke out.

"That's right. And my dad was a stage magician. So I'm more magical than any half-genie by far. Ha!"

Shantae, not believing this, crosssed her arms and spoke out.

"Babies don't wor-"

But then, Mayor Scuttlebutt spoke out to Shantae.

"It's true. She stole my nose AND removed her thumb while I watched. "

Johaar then spoke out, a bored tone present.

"That's not impressive. Those are old magician tricks, nothing more. Besides, Genie Magic is more greater then this mere child's play."

This made Holly turn to Johaar, and she looks, bashful, yet speaks and moves seductively at Johaar.

"Well, aren't you a handsome fellow here?"

Johaar sternly looks at Holy, as Shantae puffs her cheeks a little bit and her eyebrows arch down in a very mad expression.

"You seem to be new around here~. How about I show you all of Scuttle Town."

Then, Johaar walks towards her, and goes in front of her face, despite being about half-an-inch shorter compared to her, as he then whisper to her so only Holly can hear him, and not anybody else.

"Listen here, Holly, if that is what you are named. I don't know what your intentions are...but I know you are not, a half-genie. You are something else. So you can take your offer and chew on it."

This made Holly shocked, as she began to sweat in fear, before she stepped back and spoke out.

"Ummm well...okay, if you need me, call me, okay?!"

Holly then quickly walked out, Mayor Scuttlebutt behind her and following her, looking confused as to why she is acting like this, as Johaar stepped back, and Shantae spoke out.

"I can't believe he actually did it! Replacing me with that SNOTTY, LITTLE-"

But Sky then puts a hand on her shoulder, as she then spoke out as calmly as she can to her friend.

"How, calm down, Shantae. No need to get all competitive."

Johaar then looks at Shantae and spoke out.

"Besides, we are here for a mission. We cannot get distracted by any of this."

Shantae looks at Sky and Johaar, as she nodded, a smile present onto her face.

"So, wanna have us ride on Wrench again?"

The bird on Sky's shoulder, Wrench, looks at Bolo, as Johaar then spoke out.

"How can we ride on him? He's too small."

Sky smirked, as she then spoke out.

"Don't worry. I got that covered."

She then held her hand up, as she then shouted out at the top of her lungs.

"MEGA-WRENCH-METAMORPHOSIS!!"

Then, a glow was shown where Wrench is at, as Johaar covered his eyes, and he turns away, as to not get blinded by the light. After a little bit, the light is gone, and Johaar turns to see what has happened, only to see what happened to Wrench, and he is absolutely floored at the sight. Wrench, he had grown into a much more bigger size then before!

Johaar was utterly stunned at the sight, his jaw dropping in front of what he is seeing. Although he has seen many magic spells in his life, not once he has seen a spell that allows animals to grow in size, as he then spoke out.

"Wow, how in the world did you do that?"

Sky looks at Johaar and made a smirk on her face, as she then spoke out.

"Let's just say it is an old trick that I have gotten. Now hop on!"

Johaar, hearing that, shook his head, realizing that he is standing around like an idiot, as he then ran up to Wrench, and hopped on behind Shantae. Since he does not want to make Shantae uncomfortable by holding onto her hips, he instead digs his hands onto the feathers, and he hopes to not rip the feathers off of Wrench's back, before Wrench then took off.

"WOAH!!!"

Johaar shouted, as he looks to see that he is really going up!! This is the first time that he is actually going on air this high before. He has travelled, but only by sea. And even those traveling by air, he is traveling much more lower then that. Shantae looks at Johaar's astonished face, and she giggled out at him.

"First time going in the air, Johaar?"

Johaar nodded his head, as he always wanted to know what it is like to go in the air like therZ

Later....

Johaar and Shantae have now arrived at their destination, as Bolo is coming down as well, right at the edge of Mermaid Falls, somehow, especially since Bolo has not been traveling on Wrench. So how he manages to pull this off, well, that is up to Johaar's imagination.

Bolo looks around, his hands on his hips, as he then spoke out.

"Looks like this is the place."

Shantae sighed, as she then spoke out to her male friend.

"Look, Bolo. I said that I'd be fine. Besides, I have Johaar with me!"

Bolo then spoke back.

"That's not what your uncle said. He insisted I lend you a hand until, he could create a machine to replace you."

Johaar scoffed, as he spoke out.

"Really, make a robot Shantae? Please, the world needs only one Shantae. It does not need some robotic duplicate, especially since she is way more powerful then scrap heap."

This made Shantae smile a little bit, as Bolo then spoke out.

"Very funny humor you got there, Johaar."

Johaar shook his head, as he then spoke out.

"I mean it. Anyway, we should get to the point."

Shantae nodded her head, as she made a serious face.

"Right. According to the girl back in Scuttle Town, locals have been vanishing from these parts by the dozens! One minute they're here, and the next... Poof! Without a trace!"

This made Bolo confuse, as he spoke out.

"Gone, how?"

Shantae then looks at Bolo and walked forward to him.

"Well, given the surroundings, I think it's pretty obvious who's to blame for all this."

She then leans against his ear.

"And the answer is-"

She began to whisper to him the answer to his question, and after that, Bolo shouted out.

"FISH FOLK?!!"

"Shh!!"

Shantae shushed him, as she then spoke out.

"Shh! I've read that mermaids are known to be very beautiful, but often vain. And ALL of the targets, have been sweet, innocent, adorable maidens! It must be a jealousy thing."

Johaar then put his hands in his pocket, as he then spoke out.

"The way she lists the traits of the targets sounds like her."

Bolo then seemed freaked out, as he then shouted out.

"That means, I could be next!"

Johaar facepalmed himself and sighed, as he then spoke out.

"No, you blockhead. The mermaids don't go after males. It is females. They are maidens, not bachelors."

Shantae nodded her head at Johaar, as she then spoke out.

"Yeah, since maidens are you know...ladies only."

Bolo, who seem to be trying to contain himself on something, than spoke out.

"There you go again!"

This made Shantae confused and surprised, as she spoke out.

"What?!"

Bolo then rants out at her.

"Leaving me out, like you ALWAYS do! I mess up ONE delivery and suddenly I'm useless!"

Johaar rolled his eyes a little bit, as he then thought to himself.

'Oh, pull yourself together, you idiot. At least you did not go through what I had to go through.'

Shantae then tried to say something to him.

"But-! Huh?"

Bolo then rants once more.

"Ever since we were kids, you get to be the HERO and I'm always the GOOF-UP! Well I'm sick of barfing in your shadow! I'm going to prove once and for all that I'm every bit the hero you are!"

Bolo than runs deeper into the forest, as Johaar pinches his nose, as he thought to himself once more.

'Well, someone's jealous.'

He walks up to Shantae and he spoke out.

"Is he always like this?"

Shantae then shook her head at Johaar and she then spoke out.

"No, actually. This is...this is the first time I had seen this happen to one of my friends."

Johaar sighed, as he then spoke out.

"Look, Shantae. I'm...I'm not a very good person at comfort, but...I'm sure he'll come around, as long as you have faith in your friends, and they have faith in you in return. Just needs a little bit of understanding."

Johaar looks down, as he then thought to himself.

'Even though I have no friends myself. Am I always this hypocritical in a way such as this? Haaa...face it, Johaar, you're never gonna have friends of your own, you'll be forever by yourself.'

Shantae, looking at Johaar, smiled a little bit, her spirits lightened a little bit, as she then spoke out.

"I guess you're right. Thank, Johaar. I think I needed to hear that. No...I know I wanted to hear that."

Johaar nodded his head, and was about to walk away, but then, out of nowhere, Shantae grabbed him by the shoulders, leaned forward, and kissed his cheek. Johaar's face now turned more red then lady time, and he jumped to the side, and hugged himself, as he shouted out.

"H-H-Huh?! Wh-Wh-What was that for?!"

Shantae giggled, her own cheeks blushing, as she then spoke out.

"That's my way of saying, thank you."

Johaar then looks down, as Shantae looks to the side, as Johaar spoke out, as both Shantae and Johaar are as red as tomatoes, and both thought to themselves on what has just happened.

'For crying out loud, this it emits embracing thing that has ever happened to me to get now! Just why would you do that, Shantae?!'

Johaar thought to himself, as Shantae smiled a little bit, her cheeks much more redder then ever before, as she thought herself on what she had done.

'Wow, this is the first time I had kissed a boy in the cheek. Well, I got to admit, Johaar, he is very cute and handsome.'

Johaar then shook his head, and clears his throat, as he then spoke out.

"So...shall we go? You maidens in there ain't waitin' for us."

Shantae looks at Johaar and nodded her head, as she then spoke out to the Male Half-Genie Ned to her.

"R-Right, let's go."

Johaar and Shantae shook their heads fast, as they both ran as fast as they can to the factory,

as Johaar then thought inside of his own head.

'You are not gettin' away with this one, Techni. Whatever you're doing, this ends today.'

As they ran, they see a bunch of enemies before their eyes, even some mermaids, as Shantae and Johaar gets ready for battle. Johaar narrows his eyes, before he then aimed his bow, pulled onto the string, which summoned another arrow, and he then fired an Arrow made of bright light, which made a blinding light that made them temporarily blind for a minute, as Shantae and Johaar went past them

Later...

Johaar and Shantae are able to get inside of the mountain, which somehow is the entrance to the factory, and Johaar spoke out.

"Geez, this place is big."

Shantae nodded her head, as she looks and spoke of.

"And there's the maidens, look!"

Johaar liked, as the girls are hanging by a claw, and from the water, a fish comes out fem the water and latches onto their lower bodies, now making them resemble mermaids, as the fish act as their tails.

Johaar then realized what this means.

"This factory, uses girls...as counterfeit mermaids?'l

Shantae nodded her head, realizing what is happening, as she then spoke out.

"This is so horrible, whatever is happening to them! Is there a way to shut this down?"

Johaar then spoke out.

"Not unless we will waste hours trying to find a switch. We cannot do that yet. Right now, we need to take care of the one behind all of this."

Shantae looks at Johaar and nodded her head, as Johaar and Shantae then go onto claws, as luckily their legs are not chomped on by fish that makes them look like mermaids. They then landed onto another platform, and he looks up to see more and more of the claws go way up to the factory. Johaar then looks at Shantae, as he then spoke out.

"Hopefully you're ready to try and climb up this huge piece of pain here, Shantae."

Shantae then looks at Johaar and smirked, as she then spoke out.

"You don't need to worry. I have a trick up my sleeve."

Shantae then gets into a stance, as she then spoke out.

'Time to show off to him.'

She then began to do a seductive and alluring dance, one that made Johaar blush at what she is dojng, and before Johaar realizes what is about to happen, Shantae then made a pose and shouted out.

"TRANS-FORM!!!"

A bright flash of light occur, and Johaar closed his eyes, before he looked again. And what he saw made him nearly have a heart attack.

Shantae then suddenly turned into a monkey, and needless to say, she is very adorable, as Johaar felt steam come on top of his head and he whispers quietly to himself.

"Okay, should be illegal to be this cute."

Shantae, however, heard him say something, as she looks at Johaar and spoke out.

"What?"

Johaar, thinking that Shantae almost heard him, panicked a little and spine out.

"Oh, nothing! Nothing!"

Shantae gawked her head cutely at Johaar, who than shakes his head, trying to ignore the confusion, before he then spoke out.

"Anyway, see you up there!"

Then, Johaar ran, and as he jumped, a glyph formed underneath his feet, and he used it to jump again, as he grabbed onto the claw that is high above, as he goes up, and Shantae, in her monkey form, followed suit, went onto another claw, as Shantae began to follow Johaar up to the top. Johaar used his Spears to take down the enemies they are present, in order to help Shantae with getting some room to try and Shantae rarely needs to transform back, due to Johaar aiding her in this.

He even dealt with techno grunts, as Johaar spoke out.

"Okay, Techno actually is behind this. He is so sad after this."

Shantae and Johaar continue to climb and go up, and they see that the girls are being transported somewhere. They then followed them, until they reached a metal slide. Johaar looks a little bit uneasy, looking down at how far the slide goes, as Johaar then spoke out.

"Okay...so...you can slide down this thing first, then, I'll follow you."

Shantae then puts her hand under her chin, as she then spoke out.

"Actually, I got a better idea."

Before Johaar could speak, he is suddenly pushed, and he shouted out.

"Shantae, what are-"

Then, he is suddenly going down. But feels arms wrapped around his chest, and feels something soft pressed against his back, and he realizes that Shantae is hugging him from behind. This made him blush very badly, as he then thought to himself on this.

'Okay, Johaar, calm down, calm down, CALM DOWN, CALM DOWN!!!!'

They born slid down as fast as they can, as they matched the speed of the rolling cans that are going down along the slide, some of which Johaar had to slice through, so they can quickly go down as fast as they can. After what must have been a minute, they both went down, landed onto the ground, gracefully, with a dizzy Bolo somehow arriving on the ground earlier then them. Some of the cans split open, and rescaled the counterfeit mermaids inside, as Shantae shouted at Bolo.

"Hey, Bolo, stop messing around right now."

Johaar then spoke out.

"You're one to talk, considering what you did back there."

Shantae turns and stuck her tongue out at Johaar, who simply looks to the side, before Shantae looks back in front once more, and she then looks around.

Those were the missing maidens! But now they've been turned into...counterfeit mermaids? Don't you see what's going on here? Someone's been turning regular old bog-standard cute girls into phony fish folk. Fakes!!!

Bolo held his head, he is feeling very queasy, as he then spoke out.

"Ugggh...I'm gonna be sick."

Shantae then spoke back.

"It's disgusting alright."

Johaar then looks around, as he then spoke out.

"Okay, seeing all of this. Now it is obvious that Techno Baron is behind all of this. After all, he is the only one that has made the factory with crocodile workers."

Shantae looks at Johaar and nodded, agreeing with him, as Johaar then spoke out.

"And that must mean he is somewhere close. Come on, and hurry."

Johaar ran, as Shantae ran as well, as Bolo is left alone, due to being out of commission. They ran and ran for a solid minute, until they look and see someone on a wooden ramp of some sort.

In the middle of the grassy place is a small crocodile humanoid with a business suit, red shirt with golden buttons, purple pants, and a helmet that covers his face. Shantae then shouted out at him.

"Techno Baron!!"

This made Techno Baron jump, as he then spoke out.

"Dust, I lose count again!! How interrupted my work?"

Johaar then spoke out.

"That would he is, you little crocodile."

Techno Baron turns to see Shantae and Johaar, but he is more interested in Johaar being present, as he then spoke out.

"Ohhh...Johaar. How nice to see you again? Did you enjoy what I have done? Hahahahahahahahaha!!!"

Johaar looks unamused at Techno Baron, as he then spoke out to him.

"The only thing that I will enjoy, is that I get a chance to stuff your entire body inside of your helmet like a can! And besides..."

Shantae then took the turn to speak out to Techno Baron.

"We saw your factory and the making of counterfeit mermaids!"

Johaar then spoke out to him.

"And now, we are gonna send you back to your Baron pals as stuffed as the cans you had made."

Needless to say, Techno Baron does not like such a threat like that, as he then spoke out.

"GURARRRGH! First I'll forever lose a helpful asset, and now this?! No matter... No matter at all! Hehehehehahahahahahahaha!!!"

Johaar and Shantae stepped back a little

You will never leave this place alive! And as for you, Johaar...hopefully you have fun with the fishies!!! Hehehehehehehehehe!!!"

Techno Baron leapt away, and Johaar was confused...until the ground began to shake.

"Huh, what is happening?!"

Johaar said, as he and Shantae look at the ocean at their left, and they see something enrage from the ocean.

Coming out from the ocean, was a really huge mermaid the size of a building. She has light green skin, dark green hair, fins that acts as ears, a gem on her forehead which as red as her eyes, 2 massive jellyfish as accessories worn on her head, a strapless bra that is made from seashells, gills on her shoulder and hips, a 'belt' of light blue fins around her hips, and large pink fins poking out from underneath it. She is shown to have a dark green tail.

"Holy mackerel! No wonder the mermaids are attacking!"

Shantae shouted, as Johaar spoke out.

"What does this mermaid have anything to do with the mermaids at the front of the factory?"

Shantae looks at Johaar and spoke out.

"Johaar, that mermaid...that's their queen!!"
