The other students have already picked up their hippogriffs and already taking care of them. I look at Ra, who's staring back at me. I keep eye contact and bow to him. He looks back, before slowly doing the same. He slowly rises back and trots towards me. I pull a strip dried meat and held it out. He snaps it up and swallows it. I gently scratch him in the back of his head. He leans back into it, seeming content. I stop, and he opens his downy wings.

(A/n: Down is baby bird feathers. They're not designed for flight.)

He peeps, and he head butts my chest. I scoop him up. He stops peeping, and swivels his head to look up at me. He peeps again, before he rests his head and falls asleep. Cute.

Time skip

It's been about three months since we started taking care of our hippogriffs. We've gone to several different classes. My favorite is Magic Arts. Like enhancement magic, archaic magic, etc. My least favorite was History. It is interesting, but the teacher is so full of herself. She always talks in third person, and constantly calls on me because I'm "the grandson of the great hero Tabilla Untius". Hate her so much. Right now, we're back in Magic Beasts.

"Ah it's good to see how they've grown! Especially you Ra!"

Ra raises his head in pride. And I can see why. His feathers have rapidly grown, and he's about as big as a full grown pony. His eagle front has a new plumage, and he has brown speckles. His wings are large enough to fly and he's been practicing. His horse back half is now a deep brown.

I notice the female students stare in awe at his wickedly sharp claws, his now large wings. The one way I would describe him is majestic. He squawks at the girls, uncomfortable with all the staring. Some of their hippogriffs screech in anger. He blinks before screeching loudly, asserting dominance. The other hippogriffs back down.

"Oh my! Asserting dominance are we? What a good boy you are!"

She brings out several strands of more dried meat.

"Here ye go! Treats for all of you."

The other hippogriffs glance at Ra, and he nods his head. They walk towards Ms.Boulderdust snapping up those treats up eagerly. He then marches forth and eats the rest. He actually holds on piece and marches over to a deep black hippogriff with red eyes. He lays the strip in front of the female, judging by her body shape and size, and nudges it towards her. The female gladly excepts and snaps it up. They nuzzle.

"Damn, he's already getting a girl. I'm so proud."

I chuckle to myself, before I notice a familiar face who slowly walks up to the two. She pats the black hippogriff. When we make eye contact, we immediately recognize each other.

"Asrelia?!"

"Alteo?!"

I can't really comprehend how we haven't seen each other for the past three months. I start to notice most of the others giving Asrelia hateful stares. I scowl. That could mean trouble.

"Aww, ain't it sweet! To best friends reunited after so long!"

Asrelia blushes and I just smack my hand against my forehead.
