What did she mean by that? Jasper was dead, right? He was gone, wasn't he?

"Aliseia, your mate is still alive but he has changed," She stopped for a moment then continued. "He is now a vampire." My eyes widened in shock, Jasper was a vampire. 

I moved away from her, I had to it down. Jasper was one of them now, now it makes sense. They couldn't find a body but they found his horse by the river. They thought his body was dragged away by an animal but they never said if it really was an animal. Could Jasper have encountered a vampire in the desert? I sat there taking in those words, I took a breath opening my eyes looking right at her.

"How do you know?"

"When I touched you, I saw your past but I can also see the connects and sometimes the movements of those closet to you. I saw a man that is your mate, standing int e desert speaking to three women. He was offering them his help. The leader is the one that turned him." My blood started boiling, some wicked bitch thought it was okay to just take him?! I'm gonna kill a bitch!! "Jasper is still in this world that's all you need to know, your mate is out there and we could help you find him." Her words shocked both me and Robert.

"Mother how could we help her?"

"We travel around the world, we keep moving. Along the way, she can search for her mate Jasper. It's better to travel in a group, safer. Strength in numbers." She was definitely the leader of this house.

"If that is what you want and if she does wish to come with us?" They looked at me, I was thinking about it.

I can look for Jasper while blending in with people that aren't all human like me. Should I take this offer? The gods know not many like that will come around in my life. I took a breath and looked at them both. The woman seemed to read my thoughts, she smiles.

"Alright it's settled from this day on, you'll be traveling with us. The Stone Family. Ohhh I've always wanted to have a daughter." She hugged me like a mother would, it brought back memories of my mother and the days I spent with her. "Now though I can see many things, I can't see everything. So all your secrets are still secret no matter how many times I touch you." I smiled in my mind because she doesn't know everything about me.

Many years have passed since I started living with Robert and his mother Sonia. They treated me like a blood family and I was happy to be given a family to protect. After the first ten years, we gained the brothers, we found them in New Zeland living in the mountains. They were barely surviving on their own until we found them, they almost killed us if I hadn't used blood magic to control their bodies. We found out that the older three were protecting the younger two. Robert is like an alpha so he made them submit. They started living with us, the younger ones got used to things pretty quick but the older ones were nervous about everything. It took them a few years to get used to everything. We moved around so that was normal for them, Sonia was enjoying herself feeding everyone. At dinner it was a bit of a mess, the boys throw food at each other and I would just sit there sipping on tea. 

Sometime after that, we got Jessica, Robert's mate/wife when we were in France. With her skills in making clothing, she was a real good help to the family since the guys always seemed to go through six sets of clothes in one day. So she helped a lot. She accepted us for who we were, even though she was human she didn't care. The boys loved her, treating her like she was their real mother.

Years later we gained the twins, I found them in an alleyway in Kenya, Africa shaking in fear and pain. I comfort them until Robert and the boys found us and helped me carry them to the house. Jess and Sonia tried their best to comfort them but with them being vampires it was hard, I helped them feed as they fed off my blood for a year until they were strong enough to feed for themselves. Sonia was against the idea of them feeding on their own, one of the brothers or myself would be with them everytime they feed. 

Not it has been many years, it was 2017 and we are on the move again. Going to our new temporary home in Folks, USA. Great, this should be fun. In all that time I haven't been able to find Jasper, Sonia says we're getting close to finding him. I'm starting to losing faith in her powers. We arrived at Folks and already I can see people staring at us as the four big moving trucks passing through town. We pulled off to a long gravel road and it didn't take us long to reach our new home. The girls had their heads on my lap while the boys were looking out the window. They were going on a run at the first chance to check out the area before doing a long run tomorrow. We got to the house, waking up the girls' everyone got out and looked at the big house in front of us. Everyone went inside and started looking around the house, it was big and roomy. The girls found the room the wanted, the boys were bunking with each other. Cameron was sleeping on his own same as me. I was in the attic, it was spacious and had a good view. Everything was set up a few hours later and everyone was comfortable, relaxing in the living room in front of the fireplace. Robert and Jess were on the couch cuddling, Sonia was braiding the twins hair, the brothers were kind of laying everywhere while I was sitting on the window sill looking out into the night. 

"Ali, is there something outside that you find interesting?" Cameron asked me, I looked down.

"This will be the thirtieth house we have moved into. I still haven't found him."

"Who is the one you look for sis?" Mia asked while Sonia was brushing through her hair.

"Someone special to her. Don't ask too many girls." Sonia was trying to keep them from asking me questions about my past which none but Robert and Sonia know about.

"But who is she always looking for?" Kia asked laying on her stomach. I sighed giving in a little.

"My mate." Was all I had to say for everyone to gasp.

"Your mate? Like mate, mate?" Carl asked looking at me, I closed my eyes remembering Jasper's face and voice.

"Yes, I'm looking for him."

"What's his name?" Cameron asked me, I was about to speak but Mia spoke first.

"Is it the same man in the photo with you?" I looked at her in shock, everyone did. "I'm sorry but I was carrying one of your boxes a few homes back and it was kinda opened. I saw a photo of you and a man standing together. You looked really happy." I sighed again.

"It's okay Mia, I'm not mad. Yes, that is him." I stood up and walked towards the stairs. "Also, his name is Jasper Whitlock." I walked upstairs and to my room for the night. I walked over to my bedside dresser and picked up the framed photo. Running my fingers over his face, looking at the bright smile on my face. I honestly miss having such a bright smile on my face but I still get just as joyous smiles with my new family. I laid down and held the photo to my chest, falling asleep dreaming of the past.
