3: Parasite
This book is the epitomy of "keep your friends close and your enemies closer."
Now you might be asking me, "Candy, the frick you add 'romance' for when you promised none in the description??"
First of all: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ is it tho?
Secondly: I thought it'd be funny. y/n's written to be like a stereotypical Mary Sue without feeling like one (just for my own entertainment purposes) and romance is hilarious.
Thirdly: technically this is a sequel of sorts, and y/n is now older.. and hotter~
Y/n is still canonically Aro/Ace, but as we all know that never saves you from others developing crushes on ya.
============================
.
Snack bag still slung over your shoulder, you landed on the shore just in time and retracted your wings quickly. Good thing the clouds today were thick and colorful. They made for great cover. You now stood in the cleared patch of trash, again taking a moment to enjoy the progress you'd made; without the aid of any quirk I might add!
"Did you get into UA?! Did you get into UA!? Did you get into UA?!" You chuckled, smiling at the green haired kid as he came running your way. Trailing behind was his mother. You hadn't seen her yet. The woman watched you warily, untrusting of you just yet. Oh my.. Izuku ran in and wrapped his arms around you. You again smiled while hugging him back.
"Well, I can't say for certain yet, but my guess is I did pretty well! Chances are I'll get in!"
"Yayyy!" The boy cheered as he squeezed you. Then he let go, jumped back, and ran to his mom. He grabbed her hand and led her onto the sand. "Mom! Mom! This is (Y/n)! (Y/n), this is my mom!"
You chuckled, smiled, and waved politely at the approaching elder. "It's so nice to meet you, mam." You certainly weren't expecting to see her here at this little celebration of sorts. It wasn't exactly a bad thing, but..
The mother smiled. "My boy here just admitted to me yesterday where he has been going in his free time. I must admit, it concerns me a little that I have never heard of you until now." Oh boy! That kid really dug a hole for you, didn't he? As the woman stepped close enough, you extended your hand for a shake. When she took it, your other hand came in, engulfing her smaller hand between your two larger ones. You put on a smile. One that hid all the hurried thinking going on behind it.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. It really wasn't my intention to worry you. You see, a few months ago I decided this beach needed some help, so I started cleaning it myself. Your son, seeing I was doing it all alone, jumped in and started helping me. My apologies for never thinking about this from your end. I promise, I have done my very best in making sure he drinks enough water and isn't getting into any danger. Your boy is very kind, I might add. Nobody else passing by has cared to help out like your son is." Ah yes. Flattery. Izuku stared up at you, mouth agape. He knew you were lying, and what was up with that shift in personality?!.. Oh well. It was probably best he play along in order to avoid complicating things. Made him wonder though... How many times had you lied to him?
Inko's cheeks turned a faint pink as you released her hand, staring down at her little boy with pride. "That's funny.. Izuku told me you were a time traveler."
"Psshhh! I tend to make up stories to fill the time. Guess I might have confused him with what was fiction and not." While she wasn't looking, you winked down at Izuku, essentially keeping him from second guessing the old lie. He winked back, enjoying being in on this big secret. His mom nodded understandingly. "Well! To celebrate the finishing of my entrance exam into UA, I bring gifts!" Gesturing to the bag of snacks. "Feel free to eat as many as you like!"
"Oh, so you are going into UA?"
"Yup!"
"Wow, that's exciting. My son really wants to be a hero someday too!"
"I've heard that! Which is why I've made all this cleaning a part of his training!" Hands on your hips. The woman's eyes widened slightly.
"You mean...you actually believe he can?"
"Ma'am, your child can do anything he sets his mind to!" You knew exactly what to say to these guys, because you remembered them most of all. "You've done a great job raising him. This kid's got nothing to worry about." You watched as years of doubt dripped away in the form of tears. She didn't know how to thank you. You didn't need a thanks.
That evening, the three of you sat around eating the assortment of snacks you brought, enjoying the sunset visible from the clean section of the beach. Knowing you made a positive change was all you needed.
And what a beautiful sunset it was.
----------
The next day...
"Knock knock." You slid open the man's living room window, wheezing a tiny bit at the cringe joke.
"Hm?" Jin turned his head over his shoulder. "(Y/n)? Did you forget the Keyes to the apartment again?!"
Plop
Once standing properly, you rubbed the back of your head bashfully. "..More like forgot to stop by after all these years." Smiling.
"Stop by wh--?" He froze, eyes slowly widening as realization struck. "Original sister!!? I- I mean (Y/n)?!?"
Chuckling, "Uhh, yeah. Is this the original Jin?"
"Ye-he-hes!" Jumping up from the couch, the man scurried over to you at once. He wrapped his arms around you and squeezed you tightly. "I can't believe you actually came b-ack!!!" Tears streamed from his eyes.
You slowly placed a hand on his back, then hugged him in return. You laid your cheek on his hair, lip quivering too. "...I'm sorry... I was just scared.. scared of losing you too."
"Well now you have to tell me what happened! Come on and sit down! I was just about to watch a movie!"
"Ooo! Which one?"
"You'll just have to find out!"
"It's Indiana Jones again, isn't it?"
"Heyy!!"
"Hehe."
You had a good rest of the day catching up.
----------
About a week later...
"I knew it." Kai's dry voice entered through as he cracked open your bedroom door. You gasped a little, only in a tank top and shorts for pajamas right now. You quickly threw the phone aside and pulled a blanket over you.
"Knock first!" You griped. The elder didn't care. He held a paper before him and pointed to the list of faces and names, specifically at yours in the bottom right corner.
"You were planning this all along, weren't you?" He dropped the paper, crossed his arms, and leaned in your doorway, the light to his back.
You stared, confused. "...What plan?"
"To rat us out once you had enough leverage. I knew from the start you had no real loyalty to this Yakuza. You're just a parasite. Taking and taking until there's nothing left to gain."
"Wh-what are you even talking about?! I'm not just going to betray you guys!"
"Oh yeah? Then name one good thing you've done that doesn't benefit you as well." Sliding a little to get more comfortable, "I'll wait."
You sat there for quite a while just thinking. The more you thought, the more it sank in that you really hadn't done much in your life that didn't benefit you in some way..especially when it came to the Shie Hassaikai. Eventually, you shrugged. "Not much I guess... But that wasn't intentional. I- I just have a lot of things to do!"
"And giving back to the very ones who clothe, house, and feed you isn't high enough on your priority list to consider?" The man was clearly agitated. This had been something on his mind ever since you first showed up here. "...Tell me why of all things you decided to be a hero."
Your lips pursed, staring down at your lap to think for a little bit. "...There are a lot of reasons.. Heroes often get all the respect. No one really questions their secret lives. Guess..I just wanted a piece of that... It's also something an old friend of mine always encouraged me to do. Heh, so peer pressure I guess... Besides, being a hero sounds fun, honestly! I've always liked the idea of finding creative ways to save people with my quirks."
"The ones you stole."
"They're technically mine now..."
"Hhmmh..." Kai leaned his head against the doorframe, closing his eyes, appearing very tired and surprisingly relaxed. "...Guess my biggest question to you is why you are still here... You've already accomplished saving Eri, and, well... You and I should really stop pretending we share the same goal. In fact, I'd even go as far to say the two of us are destined to clash in the future. In order for you to grow stronger, you need quirks to flourish. Whereas my goal is to completely eradicate quirks. We can pretend all we want to be allies, but that won't change our nature; our destinies, if you will." His eyes opened just a smidge, flakes of gold glistening through thin slits to stare at you coldly. "If we are going to wind up killing each other one day, then why are you still here?" Surprisingly, this potential threat came with no hostility. It didn't need it. This was a very serious, hard question to answer.
"I don't even know." Truthfully.
"Mm, in that case, you should-"
"-But you guys are the closest thing I have to a family right now..." Head hanging low. "You, Pops, Eri...even Hari sometimes... You guys helped me when no one else cared. And..I appreciate that." Was this practical affection? You only hung around because they provided you with moral support, protection, and all the necessities for survival?.. Perhaps.
But maybe that was the way all relationships really worked. After all, the only reason you even cared an ounce about your dad was because you knew he would protect you. So...maybe that was how all love was born? Out of necessity.
Love was a simple thing at the end of the day. You either love what can protect you, or what you can protect. Just like with Eri. She was only two, so the only thing you really knew about her was that she needed protection. It was because of that that you loved her. You being able to provide her that protection gave you meaning. Aka, a loving bond.
Heh, when you put it that way...all love sounds rather parasitic, doesn't it? You tend to love only what gives your life any meaning, which in-turn means love is only about what you get out of it.
In that case, it would be pretty easy to manipulate that kind of love into your favor. Starting with these people in the Shie Hassaikai. "..Hhhh, just give me the word... I'll do whatever you need of me. Because I'm not leaving."
One of the man's brows rose. Now, you had his interest. After staring for a moment, he nodded silently and turned away.
You called again. "Hey.. Hey, Kai."
"What?" Stopping to turn around.
"I'm taller than you." :}
He groaned "Give me a break."
----------
Now this was something that needed to be checked out...
Deep based music shook the little pebbles on the concrete as you passed them. Their trembling grew more and more the closer they got to the bright neon lights. You wore a gray hoodie with the phrase "stand back. I'm antisocial" on the front. Your hair was temporarily dyed a dark pink, still white at the roots. And a hood covered your head. For a mask, you wore something simple. Again only covering the top half of your face.
Your eyes watched the door of light tiredly. It wasn't classy enough yet to care about keeping a list of hiring guards. Ironic...
Since this was the rebuilt and rebranded Underground Masquerade. Or at least that was what you suspected. And if that was the case.. then you'd need to take a different approach to chopping this limb off of your father's enterprise.
Just from entering, you had to plug your ears. The music here was loud. It was a lot more energetic and carefree of an atmosphere than the previous place, which had been around long enough for little governing bodies and ranking systems to form within. This, on her other hand, was absolute anarchy. Basically, it was like a rave but if the bar fights were intentional. No big names had yet to form... Just a bunch of dumb kids who wanted to blow off some steam.
Your hands tucked into your hoodie pockets. Luckily your greater size didn't steal as many attentions as the fight itself did.
The room itself was actually pretty small for what it was. A boxing ring of sorts was set up in the middle of the room, rows of sharp declines acting as the colosseum seating. Up at ground level was where all the drinks were being served and...was that a pool table? ...Guess that made sense. People could gamble on both fights and games and lose their money twice as quickly!
You mostly just wandered around, appreciating what little you could until you finally found someone who looked like they had some authority here.
Where he lacked in brawn he made up for in flashy. The man was tall and lean. Wore an ugly green and gold striped suit and had greasy long blond hair. One of his teeth shined of silver as well, a testament of his status as a rich man wannabe. Presently he was leaning back on a sofa speaking with someone far planer than him but made up of decent wealth. You stood right inbetween them though, all slouchy with your hands in your pockets.
"You the boss around here or what?" You spoke with a deeper voice just to be safe. It was hard to explain exactly how you could tell. But, just by watching how the others around him acted gave it all away. Everyone was trying to suck-up to or play nice with him in one way or another. Well, not you.
"..Excuse me?" The guy squinted up at you, offended by your rude intrusion.
"Wondering if you're the authority figure around here, why or how that happened, and what you did to get there."
"Peh, and what are you?! Some kind 'a hero??"
"No. Just someone who doesn't see a reason to care about your status is all."
"Why you-!" The man scurried onto his feet, standing an inch shorter than you, which was actually pretty tall. "What makes you think you're so tough, huh!? You know you could get killed around here for saying things like that!!"
Smirking, "So it's a fight you want, then?"
"If it'll shut you up then why not?!"
"Is that how you earned your position?.. You just fought whoever stood up to you?"
"Just like I'll shut up your pathetic a##!"
Rubbing your chin, "Then... If I win.. that'll make me the leader of this place?"
"IF you beat me!"
"It's a deal, then..." Extending your hand out to the man, you grinned broadly at him. A soulless, dead inside sort of grin that meant nothing other than to tease. It worked. The man slapped your hand aside.
"You'll learn not to swing your weight around like that, brat! Even IF you have a decent quirk, it'll mean nothing compared to mine!"
Amusement contorting your smile, "Can't wait to see it."
"ALRIGHT THAT'S IT! GET READY FOR A BEATING, BRAT!!"
You turned to the others in the crowd gathering around the scene. "Ay! Anyone have a binder to spare!?" A lady in the back was willing to donate. This was going to be fun.
----------
You stretched a little as you entered the ring.
"It's Roman Hour! You know what that means!!?" The announcer shouted, spurring on dozens of cheers. "The two contestants are allowed to pick out a weapon of their choosing!"
"O~?" Scanning the audience forming, you thought of something that might be good for this match. Your opponent wielded a short sword, expertly swinging it around flashily. His fancy suit jacket was gone, an ugly yellow button-up shirt revealed from underneath. You watched him, boredom clear in your eyes. "Hm.. alright then. Guess I'll chooooose~ a toothbrush."
"WHAT?!" Many freaked, including your opponent.
"Get this kid a toothbrush!!" The announcer shouted, half laughing as he covered his forehead with his hand. It was scary how calm you were. You didn't even know what this guy's quirk was. Didn't care to ask. It had to be strong, but... You didn't care. After you were given a random toothbrush, you got yet another idea.
"Your bandana! Sir!.. Mind if I have it?" Calmly pointing out a guy in the audience. He stole the thing off his forehead and threw it over. You caught it and tore down your hood. Chuckling to yourself you wrapped the black bandanna over your eyes, using the same cloth to tie up your hair as well into a useful ponytail.
"Are you some kind of idiot?! You won't be able to see me with that thing on!" Your opponent blared.
"That's kind of the point." Finishing up the pony tail, stringing the long strands of hair between your fingers as your teeth held onto your weapon by the handle. "I'm making the playing field a bit more even..." You dropped your hair, smirking in the man's general direction. "You're a bit of an eye-sore anyway."
"I'LL KILL YOU!"
"Sure you will."
BWAAAAA!
Your opponent sprinted into action, warily careful not to approach you directly. Your confidence was seriously freaking him out! He ran around to your side while you simply strode into the very center of the platform. After all, the most embarrassing way to lose would be to get knocked off the stage!
You'd never really played around with a blindfold on before, so this might take some time getting used to.
You felt a poke in your side. "Puncture Point Blast!" A small poke from the tip of sword expanded into something far more deadly! Your organs, bone, everything in that impact's way was completely eviscerated! You gasped as well as you could.
So this was his quirk.
Blood splattered out through your shirt. You fell to your knees, then on the ground as your body rushed to recover. Your opponent laughed, a wide grin on his face as he addressed the crowd.
|||Stage name: Crazy Canine
|||Quirk: Puncture - Any impact he lands is driven through his opponent, no matter the weapon! He could poke somebody with his finger hard enough and it could still kill them.
"Easy victory!!" The blond boasted, placing his foot on your back. "Now who else wants a shot at me?!" His foot wiggled a little as the body underneath it started to laugh. He stared down at you in horror.
"I'm not done with you yet!" Grunting, you grabbed the man by the ankle and tripped him off balance. Within seconds, you were again on your feet, grinning savagely. The man gasped, but he didn't have the time to question it. His victories were always thanks to speed, and striking first! You, however, seemed completely immune to this.
He struck again and again, tossing you around the arena with deadly kicks and slashes. You didn't even try to block. This whole being blind thing was a little disorientating, but something about the challenge made it even more exciting. You certainly didn't expect to be enjoying yourself this much... Maybe you did come here to have a little fun~? It had been so long, after all.
Your laughter was certainly not expected, especially from someone covered in their own blood, too lost to know where they were anymore. But your laughter..your smile... It all told a very different story.
Even after blasting you through the head, shooting your very brains out, it all regenerated in time to sneer. Blood was everywhere. Your blood. A disturbing sight. Most in the audience either looked away or watched in horror.
Why was this so funny? You couldn't even explain it! You didn't really know why! It just was. This man seriously thought he could beat you. How cute~
He was in a panic now. So bad that you could hear his every breath. His every shaky step. Nothing he did was working!!
From behind, the man's blade struck regularly, unlike his typical pokes. Qch! Your smile dropped with the arm. Inhaling sharply through your teeth, you gripped the toothbrush a little tighter. Your shoulder filled in the gap with new skin, rendering the nub useless. Not only had he found your weakness, but he also just chopped your f-ing ARM off! Silent now, you listened to the air around you. The disorientation subsided as you actually cared to take your hearing seriously.
There were three speakers. You remembered their locations from before. And, recalling their positioning, could figure out which way you were facing again. Your opponent walking in the way of a speaker also alerted you to his location, since while in front of it there would be a slight dip in sound. On top of that.. he didn't exactly pick out the quietest of shoes. You began to chuckle while the guy formulated his plan, circling you intently. He too was fairly well covered in your blood.
"What are you even laughing about!?"
Smirking the opponent's way, seriously having a hard time holding the laugh down, you spoke. "It's just a flesh wound."
"Ghh! Yhaaaaa!" There it was. The sound you needed in order to pinpoint the location..of his face.
Before he could strike you again, you slid out of the way, twirled and grabbed the back of the guy's shirt. He spun around, allowing you to feel and know exactly where his head would turn up. You threw your leg behind him and thrust the toothbrush into his eye socket. He fell limp, back over your knee, which his back draped over. Your one hand then flew out in the opposite direction, gesturing dramatically to the sky. When it was over, the two of you happened to fall into a near perfect dip reminiscent of the Waltz.
You panted heavily as it all came to a close and your adrenaline had a chance to calm down. A little angry at yourself, you regretted not being able to take his quirk first. Now, he was dead. And corpses don't give up their quirks quite so easily. In fact, unless Garaki somehow knew a way, it was impossible!
There was silence throughout the room. Everyone was still in shock. You couldn't blame them, remembering back to the first time you had witnessed a death in one of these things. But, after you gently set your opponent down and started to untie the dark bandanna, claps started to applaud your effort. It grew and grew until there were cheers.
"NOW THAT'S A FIGHT!"
"SHE SERIOUSLY BEAT HIM WITH A TOOTHBRUSH!"
"WHERE'D THEY EVEN COME FROM!?"
"HEY! WHAT'S YOUR NAME?"
You placed your hand on your hip and smiled. "Punching Bag." You boasted the new name. That got a few laughs, but it wasn't the mocking kind.
"Punching Bag!.. I like it!" An older, bald man grinned. He stood next to the one guy who was originally talking to the previous number one. You walked over to the edge of the ring closest to the two, since by the look of it it appeared the two were in on a plan together. "Say, would you like to take a job here as the new face of the ring? The man that everyone wants to beat?! In return, we would make this a mighty fine business for you~! Starting with a few expansions!" Dang, was it really that easy to get respect and authority down here??
You smirked down at the two gentlemen. "Sure. Why not?!.. Do I get free food~?"
The bald man chuckled. "As much as ya like!" Now that sounded like a good deal!
----------
You climbed up to the top of an empty roof and stared up at the sky, planning out your path of flight with the most clouds for cover. As you stared at the bright moonlit night, weird squishy noises appeared behind you. Turning around, you gasped faintly, spotting a dark mass materialize before your eyes. It grew over your head and higher until finally revealing a man from within. "Dad?!" Indeed, it was him. All For One planted his feet on the hard roof and stared down at you coldly.
"(Y/nn).." Getting onto you like he did when you used to make messes at home. He picked up his phone and showed you the screen, which was on the UA website announcing their latest batch of students. You were one of them. "Why am I only finding out now that you are going to a hero school?"
Forcing a chuckle, you threw your hand out beside you while shrugging. "Heyy, technically I already told you about it, right?"
"You told me you were considering it. Not that you were dumb enough to actually do it! And listen to what I just read online. Someone commented, 'that's my princess.' I don't even know this guy!. And why am I seeing that Tenko Shimura made it into the same class as you??"
You squeaked, shrugging so intensely that your neck vanished. "Hey, I don't have a say in who goes in which class!"
"That's not what I was-- Hhhh..." Your dad massaged the bridge of his nose. "..I wish you were a boy.." He mumbled. Your face scrunched. "You're growing up too fast. Part of me wishes you would stay little forever..."
-_- '...He realizes I'm covered in blood, right?'
Your dad wrapped you in a hug, holding you in place. "...Need help with that arm?"
"I'm not getting another prosthe-aaA!" It started growing back on its own!!! Surely enough. Only a minute later and you had a fully fledged arm, good as new. You flexed your fingers, then shook it wildly. Your body was still in the hug, which was looser now to allow your moment of astonishment to play out. "..H... How did you-?!"
"Did you seriously think I would let such a good quirk to to waste?" Smiling. "I had The Doctor make a copy of it for me." Oh right... He can do that.. ####. "Best part is that with it I can turn you back into a sweet little girl..." Your dad held you a little tighter as he sighed. "But...then I would never get to watch you grow into a fine young lady either... Hmmm.. the troubles of fatherhood I did not expect."
"Psh.. Father? You're hardly that." He didn't respond. Not even a sound. Each quiet second grew longer and longer until your nerves could hardly bear it. You'd use a quirk right now, but one of his was already active in order to prevent that. "...I'm sorry." You whispered. He hummed deeply, droning on without a care.
"I'd watch that kind of talk if I were you. I created you, after all. You are more mine than my dear brother, or your loving mother ever were... Do you understand that?" One of his arms slipped away from your back only to grip the wrist he'd just restored. You trembled. Side of your face against his chest, you were too afraid to look him in the eyes. "I've been kind to you all your life, because I expect you to return the favor when you're older.. Do you understand me?" You were quick to nod without question. The thought of being turned back into a child was enough of a threat for you right now, though there were of course plenty more ways he could torture you if he wanted. "It is I who gave you this power and it is I who gave you this world to inhabit. Do you understand me?" His hold on your wrist tightened so suddenly it hurt.
"Y-yes, Dad! Sorry!" But what did he want exactly? A little more respect??
"Good." Letting go of your wrist, he huffed, placing his chin on your head and rubbing your back in slow circles. "..I remember the way you used to giggle and laugh..."
You exhaled loudly. Yeah... It had been a while since you'd done any of that. "....Mm.."
...
He released you suddenly. "Take me to that Yakuza you have lived with these past years."
Your eyes bulged. "WHAT?"
"You heard me." Staring strictly down at you. "Fly there and I shall follow."
"Wh-why!?"
"You'll see."
There was nothing more you could really say or do. Bring him to the wrong place and, well, you couldn't really imagine what he'd do, but it had to be bad! And whining and complaining wouldn't get you anywhere either!
You flew off, this time unable to care about the cover of clouds. At the speed you were going anyway, you could've been mistaken for a shooting star.
----------
You landed in the courtyard and raced inside. Immediately, you started banging on everyone's doors. All the doors and walls. Whatever you could to wake them up. Hari and Kai eventually hobbled out of their rooms half asleep.
Rubbing his eyes, his mask finally not on for once, "What's...going on?"
"You've gotta help me! I don't know what my dad wants, but he's on his way here NOW!"
The brunette's eyes widened, jaw falling slack. "..Now?... Your clothes!" He noticed just how bloody and ragged you were. You had no time to explain. The fear in your eyes was clear as day. Fear which he had NEVER seen in you so strongly before. Hari was surprised as well. He hadn't expected to ever see you afraid!
And the "dad" of someone as powerful as (Y/n)...? Gave them chills.
You practically clung to Hari while Kai left to go grab Pops. Your anxiety didn't help him stay calm and collected like he usually did. Instead he looked more like a guy in a horror movie seconds before getting dragged off set!
Then came that sensation. The feeling that your father was watching you via quirk link. Hoarsely, you whispered, "...He's coming." As warned, he appeared from the portal of black goop not far away in the courtyard visible from the living room you two stood in. The sliding doors were open, rendering the paper thin walls even more useless.
He held his hands out on either side of him. "My child.. Why are you so afraid?" The arrow in Hari's hair started to extend, but you slapped his chest to stop. Instead, you boldly stepped forward.
"Please just...don't hurt anyone here, alright?"
Your dad's smile tightened into something much more fake. "Ah.. so you do care for these people then?"
"A...little bit, yeah?" It was hard to explain.
"I see..." His red eyes scanned the quaint palace, admiring for a moment its pleasant design. "(Y/n), grab your things."
"Huh??"
"You heard me. Everything you want to take back to my place, bring it here." Oh.. crap. So this was a custody battle then. Well, you didn't really want to be the one to get in the middle of that! For now at least, you obeyed and sprinted off, asking Hari for help as you left.
A few minutes, and a couple trips of armfuls of clothes, blankets, and other miscellaneous items later and Kai and Pops finally showed up. Kai had slid another black mask of his on in that time, leading The Boss to the living room. They stopped at the sight of All For One, a unit of a man, undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with.
It was funny.. The first thing Pops did in reaction to this was chuckle. "Huh... So that's where she gets her height from.." Pops had heard plenty about your old man in the time of you living here, and suffice to say he was not a huge fan. Not one bit. "Hey! Hey, you!" He strode forward without a care. Even Kai was showing signs of fear towards the ancient supervillain. The old man couldn't care less. "What do you think you are doing uninvited here, and where's (Y/n)!?"
"My daughter..will be leaving with me. Thank you for caring for her this far, but I'll take it from here."
Pops growled. He had a hard time imagining this man would treat his personal human weapon any better than they did.
Pops stepped out onto the porch even closer to the villain standing alone in his courtyard. "I'm not sure you want to DO that, All For One..." Yeah, that's right. He actually researched a few suspects; potential villains that fit the bill for (Y/n)'s father, and came to the most logical conclusion on his own. "(Y/n) here's a high ranking member of the Shie Hassaikai and has been for a while. Not only is she a vital member, but she is also seen as family around here!" All For One's eye twitched hearing that last part. "So, if you were to take her from us, that would be seen as an act of hostility toward the whole Yakuza. Not only would that bring about division within your own ranks of thugs, thieves, and other Yakuza who side with us, but the Shie Hassaikai has also developed a dangerous weapon which even your daughter can attest to being a lethal force." You and Hari arrived around that time with armfuls of blankets. So many blankets.
All For One's eyebrows were tight. He bit the inside of his cheek before responding. "...If you are going to threaten me, then make your proposition already."
"I bet we can both agree that the last thing we want is a civil war. So, either you let (Y/n) stay here with us...or we make peace between our factions official through marriage. Your daughter to my heir..when she is of age of course." Everyone under billion or something gasped.
You dropped all that was in your arms. "POPS, NO!"
Kai was the second most outraged one there. "No way I'm marrying.. THAT CHILD!"
"Oh please." Waving dismissively at the younger man. "You two are only seven years apart. My wife is twelve years younger than me."
Both you and Kai mumbling at the same time, "He's/She's literally the embodiment of everything I hate." -_- -_-
Meanwhile, All For One was actually considering this offer! He scratched his chin thoughtfully. "..I believe (Y/n) may have mentioned something once about this weapon of yours before... Something that erases quirks?"
Everyone but your dad shot you dirty looks. You shrugged while chuckling, "You guys don't get how torturous boredom can be sometimes, okay??"
Kai rubbed his face with a gloved hand. "Hhh... Yet another reason I despise you... Please, Pops, just call the offer off. I'm sure (Y/n), Hari, and I can take him."
"My, what confidence you have~.. Tell me. What is your quirk?"
"It's in my name. Overh-aow!" Bro was shot with a feather in the side. From you of course.
"-It's something he really needs in order to make those bullets!" Fake smile. "A-and it's too technical for you anyway! Would take years of training it!" Kai got the hint and pretended to agree, now wondering whether or not your father had the exact same quirk as you.
After a little more thinking, your dad grinned down at The Boss. "Your offer sounds promising. After all, to deny allyship with someone already considered family sounds rather barbaric to me... Yes, I agree."
"WHAT!?" You.
"WHAT!?" Kai.
"We can discuss the finer details tomorrow over lunch. Until then, leave the girl in my house and I promise we won't move her."
All For One stared..then nodded firmly. "A solid enough plan for tonight."
Kai and you both ran to your respective parental figures to plead with. You tugged your old man's sleeve. "Dad!! Why the heck would you agree to this!? Weren't you just b####ing about me growing old only a few minutes ago!?"
Your dad just smiled and rest his hand gently on your shoulder. "Calm down, my angel... Have you seen that young man? I doubt he would touch you twenty years into a marriage. He is our safest bet."
"Our safest bet for what??"
He smiled down at you. So conniving. Like his every plan was falling perfectly into place. "Making sure you don't leave me for another man, of course."
You glared up at him.
That petty b####.

Me deciding to throw in a funny arranged marriage just for the heck of it:
Gotta keep this arc engaging somehow!
(Don't worry, I'm not gunna make it cringe. Maybe. Hopefully. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
