Chapter 44      Defeat Destiny

            -“Am, you can’t be hiding from him all of your life. You would never be happy with other man, because you love him.”- Maeh told Am as they sat on the fresh green grass by the river in the Angeleag Fall. The rest of the girls were splashing water.

            -“It is not that simple… Oh, Maeh, why did all these have happened to me? A couple of months ago I felt so happy, so ease, being just a girl with secret code knocks on the door, spending time with my friends, playing in the woods, singing everywhere… Now I have to deal with two wonderful men, and choose… Why do I have to choose?

            -“You do not need to choose, because your heart had already done it… Am you are in love with Prince Alasther… and you can leave the duke for me…He is so handsome…”- Maeh chuckled.

            -“Maeh, please, this is serious!”- Am frowned mortified with her friend’s occurrence.

            -“What is serious?”- A familiar male voice spoke from behind Am and Maeh, making Am’s hairs stiff in all her body. Both Am and Maeh turned their faces and immediately stood up to meet Prince Alasther who was standing behind them with that cute smile, Am died for.

            Maeh curtsied to the prince and greeted him. Prince Alasther also saluted Am’s best friend. –“Maeh, how are you? I did not had the opportunity to render my sympathies for your brother’s death. I am very sorry for your lost. He was an excellent young man… Is there anything you or your family needs, just let me know.”

            -“Thank you, prince Alasther. I know you feel sorry… it was not your fault.”- Maeh told the prince.

            Am turned her face as she acknowledge that her friend was not blaming either the prince for her brother’s death.  The red haired face reddened with shame. Am was looking at the prince as she inquired, “How long have you been there?”

            -“Enough to tell you that we need to talk.”

            Maeh immediately grasped the indirect. –“Yes, I think I should go and tell the girls that a man came to visit us, again, in the river…”-

            -“Maeh, I can take Am back to the village… if you don’t mind…?”- The prince winced to Maeh and she understood they needed to go ever further than she was planning to. Maeh left them and walked to the river to tell the girls it was time to go. The Prince and Am needed some privacy… and with Brhim as a witness… no way!

            -“You didn’t have to tell them they had to go.”- Am told the prince as she gave him a severe look.

            -“I want to talk to you Am. I just want only you and me… nobody else.”

            They were standing there, looking at each other. The girls had left her alone there with her prince. She felt like sinking in those honey colored eyes… He entirely was sweet and honey. He was the most gorgeous man on earth – and she had met a few -. She melted only with him there looking at her the way he did… and yet she wanted to hate him. There was heat emanating from their bodies and they hadn’t even touched.

            The prince broke the silence that allowed them to exchange intense looks. –“Am, many things had happened in these past months. Destiny had brought us together and separated us. Fate had intended to play with us all of this time. But I am determined to conquer Destiny… What I feel for you is sufficient to defeat a hundred armies. My love for you is so strong to surpass everything on my way to get to you… Am I love you with my heart, body and soul…”- He was now holding Am’s hands and looking at her with the most tender expression.

            Amalthea’s eyes watered with joy. This dazzling prince was in front of her telling such beautiful things, she felt she could faint of happiness. How could she hate him? How could she deny herself the opportunity of meet happiness with this man. She loved him the same way he did!

            Am looked directly to Alasther’s eyes. She definitely was lost is those caramel orbs. Finally, Am uttered the words… -“I love you too.” –

            -“What did you say? Please, repeat that again. I want to hear those words again coming from those sweet lips I adore.”- The prince told Am as he placed his hands in her tiny waist and brought her near to his shivering-with-emotion body.

            -“I love you, my prince… I love you.”

            The prince’s lips met with Am’s and fused in an intense and ardent kiss. He gently placed her on the green grass, never leaving the contact with her mouth. They were at each side, on the green floor kissing, and kissing…
