Sixteen - The Protective Prince

"Come on, get dressed." Aemond ordered as he gently lifted her off him and stood up from the bed. Elyana gasped at the sight of Aemond's back, as it was filled with scratches that she herself had left. Aemond turned to her and smirked, then turned slightly to gaze at his back through the looking mirror.

"Look what you've done." He chuckled, his gaze then found the scratch she had left on his face. Just under his already existing scar. "I am so sorry." She spoke, fear creeping into her body as he turned back to her.

He smirked at her, grabbing his shirt and throwing it over his torso. "You look beautiful like that, so fucking pretty after getting fucked." He spoke and he could feel himself becoming hard again. Was this normal? To want to have someone every second of the day?

"But you need to get dressed. I am going down to to the courtyard to train, and you are coming with." He stated as he threw her the undergarments that were laying on the floor. Elyana frowned as she did as she was told.

"Why?" She questioned as she moved to grab a linen rag from the bath chamber to wipe his scratch clean. Elyana moved towards him, dabbing his scratch on his face gently.

"Because that way I can see what you're doing. Keep my eye on you. Make sure you aren't being a whore with Cargyll." He spoke as if it were the most plain thing in the world.

Elyana frowned and purposely dabbed the scratch in an aggresively form. "I am not a whore. Stop calling me one." She hissed angrily, only causing him to laugh.

"Well you claim you like some other man but you just let me fuck you senseless. I think I can call you a whore. But don't worry, darling. You'll be my whore." He teased, making her throw the rag aside and turn from him angrily. He was just so casually cruel, it made her sick.

But he was right, of course. She had slept in another man's arms the night before, and yet here she was getting dressed after Aemond destroyed her. She was no longer a pure girl. She was stained, ruined.

And the worst part... is that she would do it again.

"Oh come on... don't get angry with me." Aemond was now behind her, his strong arms wrapped around her tightly whilst he brought his lips to her neck. His touch made her melt into his arms. Oh what a fool she was.

"I do not want to go to watch you train." She said as he stopped his nibbling on her neck and sighed, leaning in to whisper in her ear. "Well then it's good for me that I care so little about what you want." He whispered and pushed her off him roughly.

It baffled her the way she could just turn his sweetness on and off so easily. Elyana scoffed and fixed her hair as fast as she could. "Could you be any more slow?" He asked in an annoyed manner as he brought his patch over his face. and fastened it in the back.

"Why are you so rude always?" Elyana asked as she finished her hair. "Why are you such a whining child always?" He retorted rudely and opened the room to his bedchamber and strutted out. Elyana followed after him. Her stomach churned as he opened the door to his chambers and exited to meet Erryk standing there. So oblivious to what had just transpired inside.

"Cargyll... I am going down to train. Care to join?" Aemond asked the knight, and Elyana wanted to disappear into thin air. Why was he doing this?

Aemond's grin was smug as he eyed the knight, awaiting an answer. Oh how good it felt to be the one that claimed what another man wanted.

Erryk looked between Aemond and Elyana, only for her to not meet his gaze. "Oh! Um... Sure, my prince. If you so wish it." It was rare for the prince to be in such a good mood, but Erryk didn't question it.

He eyed the scratch on the prince's face and frowned. He must have gotten it the night before or something. Erryk would deduce in his mind.

The three walked in silence to the courtyard, and everytime Erryk looked over at Elyana, she would anxiously look away. He didn't understand what had happened to her. Had the prince hurt her? If he did, he would kill him. He didn't care who he was.

Finally they arrived to the yard and Aemond was quick to draw his sword and join the others.

Erryk hung back and looked at Elyana with a worry ridden expression. "Are you well, my love? You seem... sad? If the prince has done something to you..." Erryk asked her, grabbing at her arm casually. His tone was hushed as Elyana's heart beat rapidly in her chest.

She looked away from Erryk, her eyes finding Aemond who was so carelessly talking with Ser Criston Cole. He had just taken her and he just stood smugly as if it were nothing. Then she remembered, of course he acted like nothing. He already let her know she was nothing.

"He did do something to you. He hurt you, didn't he? I only want to protect you, Elyana. You can tell me anything." Erryk spoke and Elyana's heart strained at his softness and kindness. She didn't deserve it. And the guilt was eating her alive as she stood there.

"No, Erryk. He didn't do anything, but thank you for worrying about me." She spoke in a meek manner as Erryk eyed her. He felt he was being lied to. "Aye brother! Come! Let me best your arse." Arryk would call out as Erryk gave him a small smile. He gave Elyana a squeeze of the arm and then moved towards the knights.

Elyana felt the guilt gnawing away at her body as she moved to the balcony. Her hands were trembling as she watched the men spar. Her eyes were glued to Aemond, obviously, and it made her so sick to feel this way.

All she could think about was the way that he looked whilst on top of her, the way his lips would part open as he groaned. The way his hair moved so effortlessly as he thrusted into her. She pinched herself to keep her mind off him.

Her eyes fell to Erryk, and she couldn't help but smile at the way he jested with his twin brother so cutely. Arryk would push him playfully, and Erryk would try and hit him to no avail. She wanted to love Erryk so bad, but something was pulling her away from him. Well... someone.

Erryk would dart his eyes to Elyana, and give her a small wave as she waved back. She pressed her lips together to contain her smile, and then she met her gaze with Aemond's. He was glaring at her with a storm in his eye as he watched the little interaction. She shifted uncomfortably and looked away to some hedgeborn knights who were sparing.

She watched for some more minutes and then her heart literally stopped when Aemond tugged off his doublet to spar with Ser Criston. Why would he do that? Everyone would see the scratches she had left. She wanted to throw herself over the railing and stab him to death with a dagger. Most knights looked in shock at his back as Aemond moved flawlessly when he fought Criston.

She was daydreaming as she watched his muscles flex and the sweat coat his body. He was just so heavenly. And she pinched herself again to stop thinking about him. She looked at Erryk who didn't seem to think twice about the prince's back, but his twin brother wasn't as oblivious as him. Arryk was staring at the prince with a confused expression on his face and then his eyes found Elyana on the balcony.

She looked away instantly as her breathing quickened. Why had Aemond taken off his shirt? It's like he wanted everyone to see what she had done. It was a silent jab at her and at Erryk. He wanted to hit her where it hurt: and it was Erryk.

He wore the scratches like a badge, like a banner he was proud of. And he wanted her to know that he had the control to end whatever it was she had with Erryk. He always had the upper hand.

Elyana was happy whenever Aemond put his doublet back on and motioned her to come down. She moved slowly to the yard and instantly, Erryk was watching as Aemond approached her. "Back to my chambers. I want to have you again." Aemond whispered, making her tense all over and look around to make sure no one was close enough to hear.

"No." She replied, her eyes landing on Erryk who was watching. To everyone else: the prince was just ordering his servant  around, as he should. If only they could hear what he said. "Yes."

"People are watching." She hissed and he only chuckled cruelly.

"Good." He said and strutted away from the courtyard, expecting her to follow. Elyana stayed where she was only for Aemond to turn around and glare at her. Sometimes he wondered what was wrong in her mind.

"Move!" He ordered loudly, making everyone turn to look at her. She only looked Erryk, who was frowning and then she begrudgingly walked to Aemond and followed him away from the yard.

Erryk watched the whole scene unfold and then moved to follow the pair through the corridors of the Red Keep. Aemond heard the footsteps behind them and turned around, only to smirk as he saw his knight standing there. Elyana choked on her own saliva when she saw Erryk there.

"Why are you following me, Cargyll?" Aemond asked, and his tone did not sound mad. It almost sounded amused. "I am your protector, my prince. It is my duty." The truth was that he was scared the prince would hurt his girl.

"Your services are not required for the timebeing." Aemond said nonchalantly and gave him a nod, motioning him away from himself and Elyana. Erryk didn't move though, his eyes stayed glued on her. Aemond knew well why Cargyll wasn't budging, and it made him seethe.

"Fucking go away or I will have your head for being such an insolent bastard." Aemond snarled and turned around hastily. Elyana closed her eyes and sighed, moving to follow Aemond. As she walked she turned to look at Erryk, who was left standing there with a perplexed look on his face.

"Why did you do that? He was doing his duty. And why did you yell at me like I was a dog of sorts in front of everyone! And you took off your shirt! For everyone to see the scratches!" Elyana was whispering angrily as the pair walked to Aemond's chambers.

"Maybe I won't treat you like a dog when you stop being such a bitch." He said stoicly, making her boil with anger.

"How was I being a bitch?!" She hissed angrily. "I was literally just existing in the balcony like you asked! And then I went down like you asked! How was I being the bitch?" She contested him, making him stop walking and turn to her angrily.

"I saw the little loving stare you shared with my cunty knight. In. my. fucking. face." He spat angrily. Elyana rolled her eyes and simply shrugged.

She didn't know why, but now that he had fucked her, she had a feeling he wasn't going to kill her so she was going to be more insolent than usual.

"And? You can't control my eyes." She spat back. Aemond's hand flew to grip her jaw forcefully. She gasped slightly, looking around the empty corridor they stood in.

"Shut your mouth. I will not hear another word from you. Not until I'm taking you again." He ordered and then aggressively pushed her away from him. The force with which he pushed was so hard, that she stumbled backwards and almost tunbled to the floor.

Her nostrils flared as he just turned on his heel and continued towards his chambers. She walked behind him and soon enough he was pushing the door to his chambers open. Elyana was surprised to find Prince Aegon sitting on Aemond's desk, toying with one of Aemond's quills.

"Brother! Finally you are back." The Prince Aegon would exclaim as Aemond remained cold as he glared at his older brother. "What do you want?" Aemond asked coldly as Aegon frowned dramatically at the attitude he received from his younger brother.

"I am bored, brother..." Aegon trailed off whilst his wandering eyes were also trailing Elyana's frame. She shifted uncomfortably as Aegon's gaze took her figure in. "Leave." Aemond told Elyana sternly as soon as he noticed his brother's gaze in her.

"But why? Don't tell her to leave. Let her serve me some wine. Darling, why don't you get me some good wine?" Aegon told Elyana, making her look at Aemond who was glaring at his brother.

"Leave, Elyana. I will not tell you twice." Aemond ordered. She nodded her head and was about to scramble outside, but Aemond stopped her gently. He moved from Aegon's view and whispered in her ear. "Come back late at night. I'll be waiting." He whispered and motioned for her to leave.

Elyana gulped and left the room in haste. Aegon trailed her with his eyes as the girl left, scoffing at his brother loudly. "It must feel nice to have your own whore being commissioned by mother, doesn't it?" Aegon asked his brother, plopping himself down on a seat.

"She's not a whore." Aemond snarled as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Don't call her that." Aemond told his brother, moving to seat across from Aegon. He didn't know why it bothered him so much when someone else talked down Elyana.

"Defensive, are we? Please tell me you've fucked her. All the times I took you to whorehouses weren't in vain, were they? My allowance was spent on your stupid little cock." Aegon laughed for some reason as Aemond pressed his lips together.

"You've been drinking, have you not?" Aemond asked his brother, moving to pour him a goblet of water. It angered Aemond to be the one to always take care of his drankard brother, but if his mother saw him this way, she would flip.

"Maybe... Maybe my whore servants aren't giving me any more whine and maybe that's why I'm here." Aegon smirked as he eyed the full vase of wine that sat on Aemond's rounded table.

"This is all you're getting." Aemond said and handed the goblet to his brother, who took it thinking it was wine but spit the water out instantly.

"You cunt!" Aegon exclaimed angrily.

Elyana was walking aimlessly through the castle, trying to find Darra or Erryk. She spent long minutes walking until somebody called her name. She turned to find Erryk, but as she eyed him, realized she was dealing with Arryk.

"Elyana... I wanted to talk to you." Arryk said in a serious way as he approached her. She gulped, and for some reason, nerves were creeping into her body in a rapid way. Arryk stood before her, a rather serious expression on his face.

"My brother told me of his plans to renounce his titles and leave for the Crownlands and our seat." Arryk said, his eyes cold as they looked over the girl. She nodded her head once as she listened to him.

"I need to know if you are serious about Erryk. Him renouncing his title as member of the Kingsguard is the ultimate embarrassment. I wouldn't want him to push himself through that if his betrothed is not very serious about him." Arryk stated, crossing his arms over his chest plates ever so slowly. Elyana gulped and pressed her lips together.

What a way to make her feel even more guilty than she already did.

"Your brother is very dear to me." Elyana answered, as Arryk raised a brow. "Dearer than the Prince Aemond?" The question took Elyana off guard, and she almost turned on her heel and ran down the hall.

The question made her spiral, and she could feel her heart thudding in her chest. Did he know? How could he know? Arryk was staring at her expectantly. "Of course dearer than the prince. I will marry Erryk, and the prince is no one in my life other than my master." She answered confidently, hoping that she was believeable.

"No one in your life... is that why he has gifted you jewels and dresses that are deemed for a mistress rather than a maiden?" Elyana gasped, her fingers beginning to tremble ever so slightly.

"That is a much vile accusation you are hurdling, Arryk. One I am not fond of..." She answered slowly, her tone dropping when she spotted Erryk coming up behind his brother.

"My love... brother?" Erryk asked as he noticed Arryk glaring at Elyana. "Brother... I was just congratulating Elyana on your plans." Arryk lied and then looked at Elyana, expecting for her to agree with him.

"Yeah, a very pleasant talk." Elyana answered sarcastically. Erryk looked between the two with a frown and ultimately let it go. "If you'll excuse us..." Erryk told his twin, draped his arm over Elyana's shoulder, and guided her away.

"How are you, love? What did the prince want? Was he angry with you? Did he hurt you?" Erryk asked in a haste. Elyana sighed and shook her head.

"You know how he is, bossy and ill-tempered but he didn't hurt me. Don't worry about me." Elyana told Erryk softly. Sure, maybe sometimes he was overly rough and aggresively, but actually physically hurt her? No.

"I get so anxious when you spend so much time in his chambers with him. I know how reckless he is... I've been his guard for years now. I just want you to be safe around him..." Erryk was an angel. She was so sure that the Gods had sent him to guard her.

Though Erryk was an angel, Elyana still clung unto the demon that was Aemond Targaryen.

"I mostly just stand around and he just ignores me." She blatantly lied. But it was a lie that wouldn't hurt anyone. If anything, it was a lie that saved Erryk's feelings from being crushed.

"Good. Listen I was thinking... when we leave the castle... I would love for your mother to come and live with us. I know she's your only family... I want her to live as comfortably as you will. Would you like that?" Her heart melted as Erryk spoke.

And then guilt. So much guilt. She didn't deserve this man. She didn't deserve anything. But she had to push the guilt to the back of her mind.

She stopped walking and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I would love that. So much. You are just so amazing." She closed the gap between them and planted a soft kiss on his lips.

The pair stayed together for the rest of the day. And Elyana was happy, truly. Erryk was the absolute most perfect man in the world, she was sure. Every single thing that came out of his mouth was perfect.

She wasn't even sure he was real.

-

That night Elyana laid in her bed. And she felt like a crumbled up piece of parchment laying there as she thought of her day. It was all flooding her mind at once. Eating her alive. She felt guilt, and she felt used.

She felt like a toy the prince had used. And she didn't want to be that. She did not want to be a prince's whore, she did not want to be a paramour. She was a good lady, and she was now stained. Stained by him.

She swore she could still feel his touch on her skin. She could still feel his grip on her hips, and his kiss on her lips.

She didn't want this feeling. She didn't like the feeling of betraying Erryk. She looked at the ceiling of her little room, and a small tear left her eye. She tossed and turned and then remembered Aemond had told her to meet him late at night. She sat up on her bed and took a deep breath.

Just one last time. She could always stop herself after this, right? She told herself and threw her coat over her nightgown, bringing the hood oevr her head.

Elyana walked hastily to his chambers, and before she got there, she hid behind a pillar. She gazed at Aemond's door, and was relieved when she saw that Erryk was not standing at his post. She walked hurriedly to the door, and knocked three times. "Enter." Was all the prince ordered from inside.

Elyana entered his chambers to find him sitting by the fireplace with a goblet in his hand. Elyana closed the door behind her, and took off her cloak. "Took you long enough." Aemond muttered and stood from his seat.

His long torso was exposed, and he only wore thin linen night pants. Elyana gulped and looked away from him, to the corner of the room. Aemond grabbed a goblet from his rounded table and handed it to her. "Drink this. Entirely." He ordered. She looked at the cup and eyed it.

"What is it?" Elyana asked him as she looked at the contents of the cup. It was a muddy looking liquid that she had never seen before in her life.

"It's moon-tea." Aemond told her softly as he brought a hand to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. She looked at him with a wide eyed gaze at the sudden display of affection.

"I-I-I don't know what it is..." She confessed, making Aemond small slightly. His hand moved to her chin, and he brought his lips to kiss her forehead softly. "It is something that you must drink any time we lay together. It is vital, Elyana." He spoke softly as his thumb swiped over her cheek.

"O-Okay." She answered and brought the goblet to her lips. She drank the honey-tasting liquid entirely, whilst Aemond looked at her expectantly. When she finished, she handed him the goblet. He inspected it, making sure she drank even the last drop of tea, and smiled.

"Good girl." He whispered and planted a soft kiss on her lips. He set the goblet down and looked at her again. "You look beautiful." He told her with a smirk on his lips. She was confused whenever he showed her kindness.

Aemond knew it was unlike him to be so soft. But he needed to give her something to make her attached to him, something to keep her coming back into his bed.

"Thank you?" She asked in a puzzled manner, making him smile ever so slightly. He grabbed her hand and led her to his bedchamber. She blindly followed him, enthralled by this show of new treatment.

"I missed you when you left." Aemond told her as he climbed into bed. Elyana's breath hitched in her throat as she stared at him. She didn't get into his bed, instead she just stood there, entirely baffled by the way he was acting.

"What are you doing?" She asked him, he shrugged and waved for her to join him. "What do you mean? Come on, get into bed." Aemond ordered. She knew this wasn't him... She was sure he was up to something.

But she still blindly got into his bed. She would do whatever he asked of her. Even if she knew she was sinning.

Elyana was beyong repentance. When Aemond was near, she ignored her common sense.
