Chapter Twenty: Let the Games Begin Part II

After returning to her friends, Angela told her friends about the conversation she had with Anthea, Hope and Gale. She told them about how Gale is able to tell if their lying, that Hope was an oracle and about the visions she saw, about Anthea being a daughter of Light, about Letus dying and how Anthea knew that Sami was half fire demon.

"Hope is an oracle?!" Said Ellen in shock.

"Anthea is Light's daughter?!" Said Sami in shock.

"Sami's part fire demon?!" Said Troy in shock.

"Yeah, didn't anyone ever tell you guys this?" Asked Barry.

Everyone else shook their heads.

"You never tell us anything until the last minute!" They said.

"Wait, he does that to you too?" Said Maya.

Hiro and Troy nodded their heads.

"All the time," said Troy, "who do you think helped us all out when we were new students? Barry is the only one out of all of us who was born and raised here in Wizard City. He even helped Jesse out. Well technically, Jesse wanted nothing to do with Barry or any of us, but the headmistress assigned him to our dorm so he was forced to let Barry follow him around and show Jesse around Wizard City, whatever he likes it or not."

Barry looked embarrassed. "When you say it like that it makes me sound like a stalker, I was just trying to be nice since he was new," said Barry.

"Troy and I already knew about Anthea being Light's daughter and Hope being an oracle of the future," said Hiro, "but we didn't know Sami was a fire demon from the Fire Empire! And how do you know about this, Barry?!"

"Angela told me," said Barry nervously.

"You told Barry but you didn't tell me?! I understand Jesse and Troy, but why not me? I'm your boyfriend!" Complained Hiro.

"Sorry Hiro, at first we just kept it to ourselves because we thought the Wizard Academy wouldn't allow half blooded wizards. And well, it pretty much slipped our minds to tell the rest of you, but hey now you know," said Angela nervously, "c'mon Hiro, don't be angry with me."

Angela made innocent eyes at Hiro and quivered her lip. Hiro tried to look away.

"No, not the eyes!" Said Hiro, trying to look away.

Two tears rolled down Angela's face.

"Okay, okay! I forgive you, just stop!" Said Hiro.

Angela wiped away the fake tears and kissed Hiro on the cheek.

"Works every time," she said with pride.

"I thought you couldn't cry on command," said Barry.

"I've been practicing in my spare time," said Angela.

Barry and Troy laughed uncontrollably.

"You should really sign up for theater class," said Troy.

"Uh-uh, no way! I hate performing in front of people!" Said Angela, "anyway, like I was saying, wizards went missing from last year's Wizard Games and I think we should be really careful. I don't think all of the Game masters have anything to do with it, but at least one of them is responsible or none of is responsible and someone is pulling their strings and manipulating them or nothing really happened at all and some mysterious force spirited away all of the final contestants and there's nothing we can do about it."

"Unfortunately, we've never had that kind of luck with your last theory," said Maya, "and all of this could be Chaos or the Dark One's doing. One or both of them seem to everything to do with everything that threatens the lives of humans and wizards."

"Actually you're right about that," said Barry, "Chaos has been the cause of great miseries throughout the history of not just humans but also wizards and other magical creatures. Her spread of darkness and madness caused events such as the Black Death, the Great Depression, the Holocaust, the Atlantic Slave Trade and many other events in mortal history that caused great pain, suffering and misery."

"I thought the Black Death was caused by rodents," said Lily.

"It was, but who do you think created the black plague in the first place?" Said Barry, "she can also manipulate mortals into doing terrible things like murder and torture the weak. Chaos is the source of everything wrong and evil in the universe."

"So she's responsible for Twilight?" Joked Troy.

He laughed until Sami slapped his face and made him fall to the ground.

"Ow! I was just kidding and c'mon you people know I'm right," said Troy, "they portray vampires and wolf demons very incorrectly in those movies and books. Plus now when people think of wolf demons or "werewolves", instead of getting scared they'll just think of a shirtless muscular guy. If wolf demons still existed today, they'd probably kill Taylor Lautner and the cast of Twilight for ruining their reputation."

"Don't you dare speak ill of Tay Laut!" Yelled Sami.

"Oh no, we're friends with a crazy fan girl," joked Troy.

Sami smiled malevolently and crazily. She began laughing hysterically. She conjured fireballs and threw them at Troy and Troy dodged each fireball that was thrown at him. "You wanna see crazy?! I'll show you crazy!" Yelled Sami as she threw fireballs at Troy. Troy ran from her as she repeatedly threw fireballs at him.

"Fact of the day, never make fun of Sami's Taylor Lautner obsession," joked Ellen, "anyway, for whatever reason for the disappearances, I agree that we all should be very cautious. By the way Troy, your robe's sleeve is on fire."

Troy quickly saw that his sleeve was on fire and started smacking on the fire to put it out. Sami fell to her knees and groaned in pain from the sharp chest pains she felt when Troy put out the fire.

"Stop it!" Snapped Sami, "that hurts! I feel like someone's stabbing me in the chest."

"Sorry, I didn't know that would hurt you," said Troy, "I don't exactly know many fire demons."

"It's okay Troy, she feels pain every time someone puts out her fire," said Lily, "anyway, I think we should get going."

Everyone agreed. They said the password "Wizards Rock" to the gates and the gates opened. They now stood outside of the gates of Wizard City.

"By the way, you girls have never told us how we're getting to the Wizard Games," said Hiro, "are we going to use those red crystals the headmistress gave Angela?"

The girls shook their heads.

"Nope, I've already made travel arrangements," said Angela, "but don't worry, after the Wizard Games, we'll get a chance to use the crystals when we make a short stop at the oasis. Our ride should be here right after I use this."

Angela searched through her backpack and pulled out a thin, gold whistle. She then blew out of the whistle. No sound came out of the whistle.

"What are you doing, trying to hail a magical cab with a broken whistle?" said Barry.

"Oh no, this whistle isn't broken," said Angela, "this whistle is a special whistle. It admits a frequency that only a pegasus can hear."

"But what does that have to do wi-......Oh my gosh!" Said Troy as he looked up at the sky.

Eight pegai flew above the sky and flew down. Three of the pegai had white fur and wings, amethyst purple eyes, and long pale green manes and tails. Three other pegai had pale purple manes and tails, white fur and wings and beautiful blue eyes. One of them had orange fur and wings, a mane and tail made of fire and the eyes were orange. The last pegasus had white fur and wings, a rainbow colored mane and tail, and a beautiful pink eye color. Angela ran to the pegasus with the rainbow mane. She hugged the pegasus and it nuzzled her.

"Moonflower, I've missed you so much!" Said Angela as she hugged her pegasus.

"Where did all of these pegai come from?" Asked Hiro.

"My aunt owns a pegasus ranch," said Sami. The fire pegasus came over to Sami and nuzzled her. Sami hugged the pegasus. "I've missed you too, Artemis," she said, "Artemis is my pegasus and Moonflower is Angela's, but when we left our hometown, we left them with my aunt because they would have been taken better care of there than with us. My aunt told me that eight was all she could spare, so two of us are going to have to share a pegasus."

"No prob, one of us will just ride with Jesse because I don't think he's waking up anytime soon," said Lily.

"He's still asleep?! How long can he stay asleep?!" Said Maya.

The guys shrugged.

"One time I didn't sleep for three days while training with Azalea," said Barry, "that woman is the embodiment of evil."

"I thought that was the Dark One," said Angela.

"I thought that was Chaos," said Troy.

"I thought that was Jesse's sister, Jeanette," said Sami.

"No, that's definitely not her!" Troy defended, "she's too beautiful to be evil!"

Everyone looked at him, even the pegai gave him weird stares.

"Troy, you're totally delusional!" Said Barry, "for one thing, she's Jesse's sister and she's way too old for you!"

Troy shrugged. "Hey, according to Jesse, their not siblings by desire," he said, "and age is just a number."

Angela grinned mischievously. "Y'know Barry, you didn't seem to consider age differences when it came to Mel-......."

"No, no, nope, you swore to never speak of it!" Yelled Barry.

"I was just joking," said Angela, "anyway, if you want Barry, I'll ride with Jesse."

"Oh thank Light!" Said Barry as he dropped Jesse off of his back.

The gang mounted themselves onto the pegai. Maya, Ellen and Lily took the pegai with pale purple manes, Troy, Hiro and Barry took the pegai with pale green manes, Sami rode on Artemis and Angela rode on Moonflower with Jesse (much to Hiro's internal, unseen dismay).

"Y'know Sami, there's pegai stables near the dormitory. So after the Wizard Games, you should ask your aunt if you and Angela can keep your pegai at the stables," said Hiro.

"I'll defiantly be doing that," said Sami.

"Me too," said Angela as she gripped Moonflower's reins, "now let's fly!"

The pegai spread their wings and took flight. Everyone enjoyed the exhilarating flight through the sky, but they didn't enjoy the next six hours of arguing. Ellen and Sami were in charge of the map and leading the other pegai to the Wizard Games Colosseum where they were supposed to register for the Wizard Games. However, the two of them kept arguing over which way to go and that the other chose the wrong way.

"I told you we're going the wrong way! Now give me the map!" Sami would yell.

"Over my dead body!" Ellen would yell back.

Then Sami would conjure fireballs and throw them at Ellen.

"Challenge accepted!" Sami shouted as she continuously threw fireballs at Ellen.

They also had to make a few stops to let the pegai take a break, eat lunch, use the bathroom and let Angela recover from her airsickness. After six hours of arguing, they flew below the colosseum and landed there. Many wizards in the colosseum, probably over a hundred.

"We're finally here," said Maya, "let's go get registered."
