Chapter Thirty-two Jesse vs Alister: Who is more insane?
Jesse laughed uncontrollably. His legs were wobbly and he was walking like someone who had just drunk fifty bottles of liquor. The black whelps on his face and body were throbbing. His long hair was frazzled and his ponytail was coming undone. He took no interest in the injuries he received from Alister's gun, as if he could not even feel the pain. Jesse was now the complete opposite of his normal personality; he now acted like a crazier version of Alister (if that was even possible). The magic dome was still active so no one outside of the dome could do anything to help Jesse, but that also meant that Alister was still alive since the dome would have vanished if Alister was unconscious or dead; that was a huge relief for the rest of the gang considering the impact of the punch Jesse gave Alister was hard enough to take him possibly a few hundred feet underground.
"C'mon Alister!" Hollered Jesse, "that can't be enough to take you down! I didn't even try to hit you that hard! The dome is still up, so I know your still conscious! Get up off your lazy butt and come hurt me some more, that is if you can!"
Alister stood up, covering the stomach wound he received from Jesse. Blood was oozing out but Alister took no mind to it. He then started to chuckle.
"It looks like the poison has finally taken its toll on your mind," he said, "things just got interesting."
That's what his mouth said, but it was not hard to tell that Jesse's behavior made Alister feel a bit uneasy; no matter how hard he tried not to let it show.
"So Jesse, how does it feel?" Asked Alister, "how does it feel to fall victim to the poison and to give into madness?"
"I'll be honest with you," Jesse giggled, "earlier I was suffering from pain like you wouldn't believe. But now I am feeling absolutely nothing; literally, I can't feel any sensation in my entire body and to be honest, it feels awesome! But enough about me, if I wanted to stand around talking or listen to someone talk for a few hours, I would have went ahead with Sami and the others. C'mon, let's hurt each other some more; that is if you can or has the Phoenix clan gotten soft since near extinction?"
Alister clenched his fists so tight that it wouldn't be a surprise if a blood vein popped out. He picked up his bloody pistol. His eyes were twitching like mad and he gritted his teeth violently.
"SHUT UP!" Snapped Alister as he began shooting bullets at Jesse repeatedly. The bullets fired at Jesse either missed or became lodged in Jesse's arms, but Jesse did not show any sign of pain.
"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Just shut up!" Snapped Alister as he continues to fire bullets at Jesse, "I'll kill you, you son of a witch, I'LL KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!"
The bullets kept on coming until the very last bullet was shot. Alister was breathing heavily; trying to catch his breath after his snap attack while still pulling the trigger on the pistol even though it was out of bullets. Jesse showed no fear or sign of pain. He just kept acting like a drunk kook.
"Geez, what's your problem?" Asked Jesse while still laughing, "you're a major hypocrite, Alister. You know that, right? You act like the most insane person alive and yet you can't stand it when someone is behaving crazier than you. Hypocrite!"
Jesse continued laughing and saying the word hypocrite to himself like he actually found the word to be humorous.
"I can't watch this anymore," said Alexia.
She took hold of one of her scythes she carried on her back and began to hit the magical dome.
"Lady Alexia, nothing magical can penetrate this dome," reminded Christian, "that includes both of your scythes."
"I'm well aware of that," said Alexia, "but I can no longer just stand here and watch Jesse completely lose his mind and or get himself killed. I'm well aware that my efforts are futile, but I must do something at least instead nothing; even if that something is a complete waste of energy."
"Well, we better think up something soon," said Hiro, "this fight is getting too intense."
Jesse and Alister were now fighting with hand to hand fighting style. However, Jesse was the one who had the upper hand. Jesse was brutally kicking and punching Alister without giving him a chance to retaliate. However, every now and then there would be an opening for Alister to make a combat and retaliate against Jesse's attacks. Both fighters were badly bruised and suffered from severe cuts and bleeding, but neither one of them would give in. They were locked in a stalemate; two fighters with the intention of killing one another and were too stubborn to die.
"You're so pathetic, Alister!" Laughed Jesse as he grabbed Alister by his blood red hair, "I can't believe you almost killed me before; you couldn't kill an ant the way your fighting! Show me what you can really do!"
Jesse slammed Alister's face against the magical dome and rubbed it against the magical dome like his face was a sponge.
"Am I the only one who liked it better when Jesse he was angry all the time and hated pretty much everything and everyone?" Asked Hiro.
Everyone shook their heads.
"I'd rather have the grouch Jesse back instead of the crazy Jesse," said Angela, "sure the grouch Jesse was always mean, but the crazy Jesse is just way too creepy."
"I think it's because we're so used to Jesse being rude to everyone," said Hiro, "man, they are really going at it. I knew Jesse was tough, but I never knew he was this strong. Thank Light that he's on our side. By the way, I know the poison makes it so Jesse can't feel pain, but how exactly does it do that?"
"The poison completely numbed his body," said Alexia, "when Jesse inhaled the poison from that geyser, he began to feel excruciating pain. As the poison works its way through the body, it causes its host to feel a great amount of pain that will eventually numb the body and the host will feel no pain. During this stage, the poison also affects the mind as you are well aware. Luckily Jesse's behavior is only temporary, but all the same, Jesse can get himself severely injured without even knowing it."
"Then we better think up something fast before Jesse seriously hurts himself," said Angela, "or Alister."
Jesse was now keeping Alister flat on the ground with his left foot and stomping on Alister's right arm with his right foot. Alister showed signs of pain, but he kept himself from making a sound by grinding his teeth.
"C'mon Alister, actually do something!" Mocked Jesse, "if I knew you were this weak, I would've let someone else pound you into the pavement!"
"You......Y-You....flipping psychopath!" Said Alister.
"Takes one to know one!" Laughed Jesse, "I swear dude, the Phoenix clan is really losing its credibility!"
Alister began to mutter something to himself. Then storm clouds began to form within the magical dome. Then, a single bolt of lightning came crashing down from the storm clouds and struck Jesse. Jesse fell over after the lightning struck and Alister got himself off the ground. His right arm was limping but he didn't show any signs of pain.
"Never........mock.......the Phoenix clan......." Growled Alister as he tried to catch his breath, "e-ever............"
Angela covered her eyes with her hands.
"Oh Jesse, please don't be dead........please don't be dead........please don't be dead........please please please don't be dead......." She mutteringly prayed.
Hiro put his arm around Angela.
"Not a lot of people survive when they get struck by lightning," said Hiro, "but Jesse is unpredictable when it comes to endurance."
Alexia put her hand on Angela's shoulder.
"Don't worry, Jesse isn't dead," she reassured, "trust me, if he was dead, my years of reaper training would kick in and I would sense his soul; ready to be taken to the afterlife. Besides look, he's getting up!"
Jesse arose from the ground. Angela sighed with relief. Alister looked like he was about to pop a blood vessel.
"DANG IT ALL!" Shouted Alister, "how are you still alive?!"
"It's gonna take more than a bolt of lightning to kill me," said Jesse, "I was able to redirect the lighting towards the ground before it could do any lethal damage to me. I've studied the Storm element at the academy, and lightning redirection spells were one of the first few things we learned. Killing me won't be easy Alister, and to be honest, I'm not even trying anymore."
Jesse let out bursts of laughter. Alister clenched his left fist so tight his fingernails began to dig into his skin.
"Shut up......" Alister growled.
Jesse continued to laugh. Alister clenched his left fist tighter and blood began to drip down. Alister tackled Jesse to the ground and pinned him down with his left hand squeezing Jesse's neck.
"SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!" Snapped Alister, "shut up! Shut up! Shut up! SHUT UP!!!!!!! I will snap your neck in two!"
Jesse snickered.
"If you could've done that, you would've done it by now," he taunted.
Alister tightened his grip on Jesse's neck. Alister had a very strong grip for someone strangling another with only one hand. Jesse coughed for air a few times, but he still maintained his unusual behavior that drove Alister more crazy.
"If anyone has any ideas, nows not the time to be shy," said Hiro, "if we don't think up something soon, Alister just might actually kill Jesse."
"Well we can't have that, now can we?" Said a new voice, "Anthea would never let me hear the end of it if I let one of her academy students die."
The gang looked at each other with confusion, then looked at the entrance behind them. Three people were walking towards them. The first two were familiar faces; they were Gale and Hope. Gale was wearing a red sleeveless shirt with a black raven on it, black cargo pants and black boots. Hope wore a beautiful pink sundress with a turquoise ribbon tied at the waist and pink flip flops. The third person however, was an unfamiliar face. He was a man who was at least thirty with black hair styled as a mullet, fair skin, and green eyes. He wore a white long sleeved shirt, black pants, and black dress shoes. He had two sheaths; one was strapped to his back and the other one was around his waist. The sheath on his back was golden metal, contained a javelin, and had the name "Charlotte" engraved on it. The second sheath was also golden metal and contained a longsword. Hope sighed heavily.
"Just as I predicted," she said with her more mature woman voice that would often make people forget that Hope was only ten years old physically, "such as fate."
"You're predictions may be more negative than positive, but at least there accurate," said the man with the javelin.
"Accuracy may be our advantage, but there are times when I wish that my predictions were false," said Hope, "somethings are better off not knowing or seeing."
"At least we arrived here on time, did you predict that?" Asked the man.
Hope nodded her head. "Yes."
"What are you guys doing here?" Asked Hiro.
"We're under orders from Lady Anthea," said Gale, "Hope predicted that there would be some kind of trouble taking place at the games."
"So we came here as fast as we could," said Hope, "and my suspicions were confirmed when we aided the Gamemasters from their incarceration."
"You make it sound like they were kidnapped," said the man, "we found them unconscious in their private quarters with the door locked. 'Incarceration' isn't the word I would use for the situation; especially since it was just the Gamemasters locked in their quarters with a flat screen TV, mini fridge and soda fountain."
"Does it really matter, Jordan?" Said Hope.
Jordan shrugged his shoulders. "I'm just saying."
"With that said, we should focus on the task at hand," said Gale.
Gale turned his attention towards the dome. Gale's jade green eye began to glow and move rapidly. The gang was speechless.
"How is h-he......what did he-.......what the what........?" Said the gang.
Jordan laughed. "Obviously you guys don't know much about Gale's magic eye," he said, "it's a really long story though...."
"We have time," said Gale, "it will take me a few minutes at least to demolish this dome. Just don't go to heavy with the details."
"Well okay then I'll explain," said Jordan as he cleared his throat, "so long story short; there was once a witch who desired the power of the oracles. She desired the power to see into the distant future like Hope here, and beloved the power laid within her eyes. So eighty years ago, the witch killed Hope's past incarnation and stole the eye."
Hope appeared frustrated and slightly embarrassed when Jordan mentioned the witch killing her in a past life.
"That reminds me," said Jordan, "I'm sure you foresaw that event like you foresee everything that will happen in the future, so how come you never try to prevent your own deaths?"
Hope sighed. "Because it is pointless," she said, "I will always die no matter where, when, and how. But I will always return, so it is pointless to prevent something that is destined to occur on an endless loop. I thought you would know by now that some actions can't be prevented."
Jordan's left eye twitched. The expression shown on his face looked like Jordan was trying to repress some deeply rooted anger towards Hope's comment.
"As I was saying," said Jordan, "the witch killed the annoying spawn of a warlock oracle and stole her eye-....."
"Very mature, Jordan," said Hope sarcastically.
"Says the oracle who hasn't gone through puberty yet," muttered Jordan.
Jordan and Hope glared at each other like they were trying to set each other on fire with their minds.
Good thing the walking flamethrower isn't here, thought Hiro.
"Jordan, I'd stop arguing with Hope and wrap up your explanation if I were you," said Gale, "I'm nearly finished with demolishing this magical dome."
Jordan rolled his eyes and took a deep breath to help subside his frustration.
"Okay, as I was saying before we got off topic," said Jordan, "after the witch stole the eye, she sacrificed her own eye and replaced it with the oracle's eye. But when the implantation process was complete, the witch began to experience pure madness."
"The witch was unaware that my eyes lose their power when they are severed from my eye sockets," said Hope, "it is true that my eyes allow me to see the distant future, but that is not all there is to it. The power is something you have to be born with and my eyes are merely a factor. But in order to assure that the witch or anybody else would not try the same methods towards the other two oracles, I placed a curse on the eye long before the witch killed me as a precautionary measure if I was going to perish. The curse I placed on my own eye made the eye indestructible but also made whoever had the eye attached to their eye sockets to fall into unbearable madness."
"And we're talking serious madness," said Jordan, "it was so unbearable that the witch killed herself in an attempt to escape the eye's curse. The eye was later recovered twenty years later from the witch's decomposing skeleton by a young and brilliant, but not very stable, alchemist who found the eye in the same perfect condition as it was in before the witch killed herself. With his knowledge of alchemy and magic, he was able to modify this eye so it would have many different abilities and powers; such as the ability to decode and disrupt magical barriers as Gale has demonstrated here. However, when the alchemist was finished modifying the eye, he tried it out for himself; completely ignorant to the fact that the eye was still cursed despite the modifications. When he implanted the eye into himself, he faced the same horrors as the witch did. He began to hear whispers and see things that weren't even there. Then slowly but surely, the madness grew stronger with each passing minute. His torture continued for a while until he decided he could no longer take the visions and voices. He tried to force the eye out, but it was hopeless because the eye was cursed to be permanently attached to its possessor until the possessor dies. Once the alchemist realized this, he committed suicide by swallowing a mixture of very lethal chemicals."
"But if the eye causes whomever possesses it to fall into madness, then why is Gale able to use it without experiencing the urge to kill himself?" Asked Angela.
"Good question," said Jordan, "well the reason for that is because Gale is able to handle the madness because apparently 'he's seen worse'. Which is a fair reason if you ask me considering the fact that-....."
Jordan suddenly shuddered. He looked out of the corner of his eye and saw Gale giving him a very unsettling glare with his other eye while his jade green eye was still working vigorously to demolish the magical dome. Jordan laughed uncomfortably.
"F-Forget it......" Said Jordan, still laughing uncomfortably and awkwardly, "no comment......"
The gang weren't to quick to drop the topic as Jordan was. They were about to ponder the topic further until the magical dome suddenly vanished into thin air. This made them forget about the topic because they were too amazed by Gale's work to further ponder. Even Alister stopped strangling Jesse to look up and see that his magic dome had been brought down. He backed away with shock.
"HOW COULD THIS BE?!" Screamed Alister with much shock, "NOTHING HAS EVER BROKE DOWN MY DOME! YOU HEAR ME?! NOTHING!!!!!!"
"What a sad and pathetic being you've become," said Angela.
The others were surprised to hear her say that. Angela's eyes were stone cold grey and if looks could kill, Alister would've been long dead by now. Angela has now taken the scary, level-headed, and very serious side of her personality.
And I thought Sami was terrifying whenever she was serious, thought Hiro, I've seen Angela when she is dead serious in these kinds of situations but I swear she gets scarier every time. I love her, but I'm also very scared of her.
Alister turned his head slowly towards Angela.
"What did you just say to me......?!" Said Alister through his gritting teeth.
"You know what I said," said Angela as she walked slowly towards Alister, "you're a insane, but you're not deaf. You know exactly what I said. I understand where you're madness comes from. It comes from the anger towards your father for the way he's treated you and the way he's always pushed you to become the killer that you are today. It comes from your desire to make others suffer and squirm just like the pain that was inflicted onto you as a child, and it is what created your sick pleasure to kill as many people as you can get your blood stained hands on until you are satisfied. But because you are so sick, you will never be satisfied with the number of people you kill."
Alister covered his ears with his hands.
"STOP IT!!!!!!!" He snapped, "SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Your madness also stems from one more aspect; and that is fear," said Angela, "you fear anyone madder than you are due to your origins from a clan of madmen and madwomen. This fear stems from your abuse from your father and any other clan member that would see you as unworthy of being a true clan member. It's why you shudder at the thought of someone who is more insane than you; because they remind you of the clan who raised you to be like this, including your father."
The area was silent. Everyone was amazed at how Angela told off Alister the way she did. The look on Alister's was a mixed expression of anger, frustration, shock, and maybe even a little fear.
"You just got burned, Crazy Red!" Snickered the still intoxicated Jesse, who was still lying on the ground.
"I never imagined Angela could be this serious," muttered Alexia, "it's a little scary, but it's also kind of awesome."
"I know, right?" Said Hiro, "go Angela."
"What's wrong, Alister?" Said Angela as she continued to walk towards Alister slowly, "for someone who has been ranting on about how he's going to kill all of us, you've been very quiet. All I did was state what I've observed from watching you and Jesse. I don't believe I've said anything wrong, unless the problem is that you can't handle the truth?"
Alister didn't even waste time with a verbal response. Instead, he grabbed his dagger with his good hand, grabbed Angela with the other, and held the dagger at Angela's throat. The others were worried but Angela didn't show any signs of fear.
"You're a very annoying girl....." Growled Alister, "even more annoying than that reaper brat. You have no idea how badly I want to slice your throat open right now, but I won't let you get the last laugh from your dirty lies. So how's about we make a deal; if you would take back everything you've said and beg for me to spare your life, I might do so."
Angela smiled with confidence.
"I will never disgrace myself by submitting to someone as pathetic as you," she said, "I'd rather die than do so."
Alister pointed the dagger towards Angela's throat.
"That makes two of us," said Alister, "if that is your decision.......THEN GO TO HELL!"
Angela put her hand into her pocket.
"You first, you son of a witch," said Angela.
Angela quickly pulled a cheap small blue travel sized spray bottle out of her pocket, and sprayed the contents of the spray bottle into Alister's left eye. Alister screamed in pain and released Angela to cover his eye and rub it vigorously.
"My eye! Oh my god, it burns! IT BURNS!!!!!!!" Screamed Alister, "what did you do to me?!"
Angela smiled a mischievous smile and snickered a little. Alister scowled at her with intense anger.
"Why you little witch!" Yelled Alister.
Before anything could've been done, Alister stabbed his dagger into Angela's chest and sliced it up and out. Angela's body then fell to the floor. Everyone was too stunned for words. Alister let out a burst of hysterical laughter.
"That'll teach you, witch!" Hollered Alister, "nobody makes a fool out of me! NOBODY!!!!!!"
As the others were trying to cope with what they just witnessed, they noticed that there weren't any new blood stains on Alister's dagger. If Alister really did slice Angela's chest open, there should've been fresh blood dripping off of the dagger, but there wasn't. Just then, Angela's body began to move with spasms. Then tentacle-like thorny vines emerged from the chest opening and grabbed Alister by his wrists and neck. Angela's body then began to turn as green as the vines and her eyes became as red as the thorns. Everyone, even Alister, was shocked beyond words.
"Impossible!W-What..did...she-......?! I-I.....I killed her!" Shrieked Alister.
"Oh Alister, it's going to take a lot more to kill me," said Angela.
Everyone looked at the body. It's mouth never moved. Then, Angela appeared from behind Alexia. Angela had a bleeding cut in the palm of her hand that had the same vines growing out of it. The vines also had themselves wrapped around Angela's fingers like a puppet master with marionettes.
"Sorry for the scare guys," said Angela, "but the less people to know, the more realistic the performance. That's why I only told Alexia because it would be easier to mask my whereabouts if I hid behind her."
"But how did you do this?" Asked Hiro, "and when did you do this?"
"I planned this while Jordan was explaining Gale's eye," explained Angela, "that was the perfect time to plan for this because all of you were too distracted to notice. As for how I did this, I used the seed of a rose only found in the magical worlds. All the seed needed was a very warm and moist environment in order to thrive and grow. That's why I used by sword to make a small cut in the palm of my hand in order to create the correct conditions needed for the seed to grow in, and by using some of my magical energy I was able to accelerate the growth rate and make the rose bloom within seconds. After that, I just had to use my powers to control the vines and create a perfect puppet of myself from the vines. The true purpose of this rose lies within the thorns; the insides of the thorns are what wizards use to make tranquilizer darts to subdue dangerous animals, dangerous criminals, and dangerous psychopaths. Speaking of which, that being said........"
Angela clenched her hand into a fist. The thorns stabbed themselves into Alister's skin, making Alister yelp with pain. Alister than dropped to his knees and began to feel numbness in each section of his body. He tried to fight the thorns' effect, but it was useless. Eventually the fatigue and numbness sunk in too deep and Alister went under. When Alister was unconscious, Angela gently removed her vines from Alister.
"And the lunatic is down!" Announced Jesse as he was acting like an announcer for a wrestling match, "and he is staying down for the count!"
"Can you inject your thorns into Jesse, please.....?" Asked Hiro.
Angela shrugged her shoulders. "I can try it, but I'm not sure the results will be the same."
Angela wrapped the vines around Jesse's wrists and neck. She then clenched her fist so the thorns would stab themselves into Jesse's skin. A few moments went by; Jesse was still conscious.
"Whoa, Angela is a squid girl!" Snickered Jesse.
Angela and the others signed.
"Just as I thought," said Angela, "I wasn't sure if the thorns would put him to sleep or not due to the poison. It's obvious that the poison is at the point where it begins to affect his body's chemicals to the point where it nearly impossible for him to go under. However, the thorns can still numb his body so he can't move which will make it easier to treat his wounds. Speaking of which, I'd better take a look at him."
Angela retracted the vines back into her hand. She then slapped the back of her hand, and an opened seed fell out from the palm of her hand.
"You can also use your powers to regress the rose back to it's seed state?" Said Jordan with amazement, "you Miss Dawnstone, are very talented with plants."
Angela blushed with embarrassment.
"Thank you, but I still have a long way to go in my magic studies," she said, "to be honest, I'm only good with healing and life magic. I still have lots of studying and training to do if I want to become a decent wizard."
"Hey, don't be hard on yourself," said Jordan, "in all honesty, I'm not very good with magic myself, but that didn't stop me from becoming a detective and a member of the interrogation unit. By the way, I'm Jordan Sanderson if you already don't know. The headmistress sent us here as your backup in case you needed it. Good move on her part, otherwise you'd probably never get the dome down. No offense."
Angela shook her head.
"None taken, you're probably right anyway," said Angela, "anyhow, I must cut introductions short to tend to Jesse's wounds if you'll excuse me."
Angela went over to Jesse's side and began to examine his wounds. Jesse was covered with awful bruises, bullet holes from when Alister was shooting Jesse with the gun, and had a few cuts. The bleeding had nearly stopped and or dried up. As Angela continued to examine the damage, Hope came over to her side carrying a white felt bag in her fist.
"I had a feeling you were going to need these," said Hope, "you need to save your mana for the challenges to come soon. It's not much, but these bandages, moist wipes, and pre made herbal medicines should be enough for the injuries for now given the circumstances."
Angela took the bag and opened it up.
"Thank you, Hope," said Angela, "all I need to do right now is clean the wounds and bandage them so they won't get an infection. This will be plenty for the time being."
Hope smiled a warm and cheerful smile that would make people forget that she was the serious grown oracle woman and was now a regular little girl.
"Glad I could help," said Hope.
Angela then began to get to work. She used the moist wipes to clean the cuts and wounds carefully while also trying her best not to reopen them. She then began to bandage the cuts while also putting the herbal medicine on the serious wounds before bandaging them.
"Alright, one patient down," said Angela. She looked at the unconscious Alister. "One more to go."
"You can't be serious," complained Hiro.
"Sorry, but I can't just leave him here," said Angela.
"Sure you can," said Hiro, "all you have to do is stand up and walk away."
"No," said Angela in her serious tone of voice, "if we leave him here, he'll die."
Angela walked over to Alister with her bag of medical supplies. She cleaned the stomach wound and other bad looking cuts before putting medicine and bandages on. Then she started to feel around Alister's right arm.
My gosh, his arm is broken, thought Angela, I can't believe Jesse was able to do this. Jesse must be stronger than I thought he was.
Angela took a deep breath. Then she gently placed Alister's right arm on the ground. She then placed her hand on Alister's right arm; her hand began to glow.
"Looks I'm going to have to use my mana after all," said Angela, "Jesse did some pretty damage to Alister's right arm. I can't heal the injury completely without using up way too much of my mana, but I believe I can reduce the injury to a minor fracture."
"Just don't push yourself," said Hiro, "you shouldn't use up all your mana for a guy who tried to kill all of us."
Angela ignored her boyfriend and continued her work. After a few minutes, Angela's hand stopped glowing and she removed it from Alister's right arm. She then took a moment to think.
If only I had some wood or something to make a splint, she thought.
Angela then got an idea. She began to continuously wrap the bandages around Alister's right arm. After a few minutes of continuous wrapping, the arm almost looked like it was in a cast. The next thing Angela did was use the remaining bandages to make an arm sling to keep the arm in place. For a cast made out of limited materials, the workmanship was pretty decent.
"There, this should keep the arm in place until we get out of here," said Angela when she was finished, "since neither of them can walk, I'm afraid we'll have to carry Jesse and Alister the rest of the way. Hiro, would you be a gentleman and carry Jesse?"
Hiro looked nervously at Jesse's injuries. Even though the bandages were on, the blood stains could be seen through the bandages. The sight of the blood stains made Hiro's skin grow pale and made sweat trickle down his face, but he just smiled nervously at his girlfriend.
"Um......s-sure.......," said Hiro.
Before Hiro could do anything though, Jordan scooped up both Alister and Jesse, and carried them both on each of his shoulders. Hiro sighed with relief.
"I'll carry them," said Jordan, "no big deal. The more free hands we have, the better."
"So what should we do from this point?" Asked Alexia.
"We must go forward," said Hope, "there will two paths to take; each one will lead to a new threat. One path will lead you to face an angel of darkness, and the other path shall lead you to a mysterious human whose intentions are unknown. Either way, you'll find some of your friends facing each threat. Whichever path you choose is completely up to you. Jordan, Gale, and I have already made our choices; now make yours."
