Chapter Six: The Dorm

The girls' dormitory was the same as the boys' dormitory except some of the rooms were different colors. The girls and Barry went inside dorm 54B. It was empty in the dorm room except for a stack of school robe uniforms in different colors and a stack of schedules on top of the uniforms.

"I know the room may be empty now, but after some customizing, it will probably look great," said Barry, "here let me show you something cool."

He went to a little screen that was next to the front door, typed in something, scrolled down through a few things, clicked on something and a hot dog shaped couch appeared in the room. The girls were completely speechless.

"H-How did you do that?" asked Ellen.

The couch disappeared.

"It's a catalog thing we use to decorate our dorms," explained Barry, "you can customize the walls, floors and put in furniture. Each room in this dorm has one of these handy little devices. And the best part is....customizing your rooms is free! Even the furniture is free of charge."

The girls couldn't believe it. They were even more speechless than before.

"Hello, new best friend," said Sami as she hugged the wall.

The rest of the girls frowned. "Hey!" they said.

"Oh c'mon, you guys are thinking the same thing," said Sami.

"True that," they said in agreement.

"If you guys like that," said Barry, "wait until you see the closets."

Barry led the girls to a white door with another pad screen next to it. He typed in something into the pad screen and the door switched into a black door.

"This pad screen controls which room you want to go to," said Barry, "you can also punch in how many rooms you want in this dorm. I already punched in five bedrooms so need to worry about it. Anyway, if you punch in what room you want to go in, the door will change into whatever door the room has and when you go through the door, you'll go through that room."

"That's so awesome," said Maya.

Barry opened the door and they entered into another empty room with a white closet door with a pad screen next to it.

"Okay, with this pad screen you type in or select what kind of clothing our outfit you want and it will instantly come," said Barry, "okay, how about black high heel boots with red hearts?"

Barry typed in black high heel boots with red hearts, than opened the closet door. The boots were on the closet shelf. The girls' mouths hung open.

"And the best thing about this is that just like the furniture, all clothing is free!" exclaimed Barry, "and I'm serious about it. I don't think clothing or furniture stores from a different dimension would charge people."

This time, Lily went to the wall and hugged it.

"I think I'm in love," said Lily.

Everyone laughed.

"So what do y'all think? Pretty amazing place am I right?" Asked Barry.

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"Well if you guys want, I can help you guys decorate," offered Barry, "I'm in no hurry to get back to my dorm and watch my friends argue back and forth at each other."

The girls accepted Barry's offer to help decorate. It took a few hours of scrolling through the screen pads and arguing over what furniture to put in the living room of the dorm. The outcome of the living room was it had turquoise walls with a white wood trim and white carpeting. The room also had a flat screen tv that hung on the wall and there was also a turquoise water couch and an armchair that was white and one that was turquoise in the room as well. Under the TV was a white coffee table with a glass top with a black WiiU on it. All of the floor lamps were lava lamps. The kitchen's colors were mostly black. The walls and tiles were black, the appliances including the refrigerator and the stove oven were black, and the counters were black. The dining room was west of the kitchen and north of the living room. The dining table had a glass top, round and had five white wood chairs scotched in. The girls' rooms each had their own style. Angela's room was mostly pink, Ellen's room's interior was turquoise, Lily's room had a purple interior, Maya's room had a black and purple gothic interior and Sami's room had a blue and black interior. The girls and Barry sat on the couch and armchairs trying to relax after hours of decorating. It was five o'clock when they finished decorating.

"Well we did it," said Ellen, "I think we did a pretty good job."

Everyone agreed.

"Our school years are going be awesome," said Maya.

Barry elbowed Angela to remind her of their plan.

"Hey guys," said Angela, "we should help out Barry with something tomorrow."

Lily and Sami groaned.

"Do we have to?" They whined.

Angela frowned and threw an empty water bottle at them.

"Yes you do since he helped us get to Wizard City, helped us decorate our dorm and oh yes, he SAVED our lives TWICE!" reminded Angela.

"And nearly ended our lives once," said Sami, reminding them about the train incident.

"How was I supposed to know that stupid ghost story was real?" Said Barry, "and I really need your help with this project. I'm trying to get my friends to release their positive energy for a spell we were assigned to perform in class. I need you guys to help me get them to release all of their negative energy first before we release their positive energy. Please can you guys help me? I helped you guys like a dozen times!"

"Sure," said Maya and Ellen.

Lily and Sami sighed heavily.

"Fine, what are we doing?" Said Lily.

Angela and Barry explained their plan to their friends.
