Miki POV

"Mami?" I was wondering why she called me on my phone.

"Can we meet at the park in the night?" she said in a serious tone.

Is something wrong?....

"Yea" I replied.

I saw Mami in the park transformed folding her arms.

"Mami are you okay?" I became worried.

"Yea I'm fine"

"Do you want to help me defeat someone?" she asked.

"Of course I'll help" I sighed.

"But who's the person?" I asked.

"She's the one who has Kalyly's element"

"What happened?" I held her hand.

"She tried to kill my sister" she looked emotionless.

I never seen her like this.....

"I'll help" I said boldly.

"But Mami I'm worried about you" I folded my arms.

"I'm fine" she sounded like Mahimo.

"Seriously though if you are not the nightmares can-"

"Miki I'm fine" she sighed.

"Mami....." I looked at her worried.

She walked past me coldly as her hair flew in the wind.

What happened to her?....

"Cuz help me!" Nano wined trying to carry a large stuffed toy.

I helped her carry the large stuffed toy.

"What's this for?" I sighed.

"It's not me Sho gave me isn't cute" she smiled.

"Sho?!"

Nano is actually has someone who likes her?!

"He wants us to go to my favorite ice cream store he is such a good friend" she held my hand smiling extremely.

She doesn't notice him.....

"Nano don't you think he likes you?" I sighed.

"He likes me?" she became confused.

"Yes!" I said angrily.

She turned completely red.

"I.....I.....I don't know what are you talking about" her voice became shaky.

"Come on he keeps buying you things which I don't know how is that possible magic I guess" I shook my head.

"He's just being a good friend" she folded her arms.

"A friend stares at you when you are changing wow" I glared at her.

"Well Mr. Kenji keeps staring at you!"

"He's a pervert" I folded my arms.

"See you can't see it"

"See what?!"

"He loves you!"

I froze.

"Nano let's finish dinner" I walked past her trying not to make eye contact.

"Miki is still the same you don't want to lose someone like Kyoto again" she said boldly.

"Nano-"

"I hate seeing you like this" she clenched her fists.

"You keep hurting a lot of people around you because of Kyoto's death and I found out how he died Miki"

My heart started beating fast.

"Your graduation day you left early because you had to defeat a monster Kyoto followed you but you didn't know"

"Nano stop!" I started crying.

"I can't believe you are saying this to me and you know how much I'm hurt" I held my chest tightly.

"Face your fears Miki!" she held my hand tightly.

I cried on her shoulder.

"Miki....." she slowly placed her hand on my head.

"I'm so scared" I held her shirt tightly.

"I couldn't save him" my voice became shaky.

"The Miki I know doesn't give up so easily she's just my stubborn cousin but she realizes when she hurts someone" Nano spoke softly.

"Nano...."

"Now stop locking up yourself to others" she smiled.

"Yea...." I wiped my tears.

"Let's see the old Miki" she laughed.

I nodded.

I looked at my glasses in my room.

The old me.....

I smiled as I picked up it and wore it.

"Miki are you ready?!" Nano wined from the outside.

"Yea" I smiled.

I walked past my coworkers.

I held my handbag tightly as I heard them whispering about me.

"Good morning" I bowed in front of them.

"Ms. Tategami?" one said.

"Yea" I smiled.

"You.....don't normally greet us" another said.

"And....smile" the secretary smiled nervously.

"Yea I'm sorry I wasn't myself and please call me Miki" I smiled softly.

"Okay....." Mrs. Meiko smiled nervously.

Mr. Kenji wrapped his arms around me.

"Come on guys she's trying to be your friend" he smirked.

Silence.

"I'm really sorry how I treated you guys" I bowed.

"Apology accepted" Mrs. Mori smirked patting my back.

"Now that's the Miki I knew in high school" one of the teachers that used to be in the same class as me in high school said.

Everyone went back to work except Mr. Kenji.

"Thanks" I sighed.

"You really need to try harder though" he smiled.

"I said I was sorry" I folded my arms.

"It's okay but I....love your glasses" he patted my head.

I felt something in my heart.

Stop reminding me of Kyoto.....

I smiled softly trying to not cry.

"So since everyone can call you Miki does that mean-"

"No you may not call me Miki" I glared at him.

"It was a good try" he sighed.

I started laughing.

"You are laughing?"

Everyone looked at me.

"I'm so happy with you" I smiled.

He turned completely red.

"That can be taken wrong Ms. Tategami" he smiled nervously.

"You treated me kindly even though I was being so mean" I sighed.

"Just trying to be a good friend" he chuckled nervously.

I know you want to be more than a friend.....

I looked at him worried.

"Don't worry I'll soon change" I spoke softly to myself.

"What?" he became confused.

"I....better go" I grabbed my maths books.

"Yea" he smiled.

Everyone watched as Mr. Kenji and I went our separate ways.
