Chapter 3: Schooling Rosa

It was early morning at Rosa's school, Tex Hill Middle School as her parents were talking to Principal Romero about their daughter. "So let me get this straight, ever since the Isabel Perez incident, your daughter has been learning magic from some weird crow lady she met and now she's going to enroll in a magic school in another dimension?" He asked. "Yeah, that's it," Priscilla replied. "Ok, please get out of my office, I think you guys are insane," he had the two exit the premises. "That went, well," Raymundo said. "I hope things are going better for our hija," his wife replied.
With Rosa and Dolores, they were standing outside of the new school, Charmcast Academy of Magic. "You see this Rosa, this was the school I attended when I was your age, and I believe that you'll fit in here," the witch explained. "Gracias Dolores, wish me luck," the teen entered the school and was greeted by the school's headmistress. "Hello, you must be Miss Ortiz, I am Headmistress Castra, and you're the first human to enroll in this school, I hope you enjoy your time," she said. "So, is there a certain kind of magic I study?" Rosa asked. "There are several types of magic classes to choose, there's Water, Light, Animal, Garden, Wind, Tinker, Frost, Dust, Storm, Healing, Music, Mining, Fire, and Art," the principal explained. "Wow, that's a lot to choose from, I can't decide myself, what about you Headmistress?" The teen asked. "I'll put you in the Tinker magic class, I have someone who can teach you, her name is Chipper Greene," she used her magic to bring a girl with fair skin, pointed ears, curved black hair and a dark green dress with white sleeves. "Oh, hi, I'm Chipper Greene as you already know, I'll take you to the classroom, if that's okay with you anyway," the witch girl said. "It's cool chica, I'll go with you," Rosa replied.
The two walked throughout the halls as students were getting stuff out of their lockers. "So Chipper? What is life like for you here?" The teen asked. "Well, I'm the weakest when it comes to magic for my class, so if I take in an apprentice, than I'll be considered a powerful witch, and maybe I might be put in a different magic class, like Dust," the witch explained. "So, I'm learning from you, so you can get into a different class?" Rosa replied. "Yeah, oh we're here already," the two entered the class and sat down, waiting for the class to start. The other students in the class entered, giving Chipper dirty looks. "Little witch Chipper," one whispered. "Low class witch," another replied. "Why are they putting you down like that?" The teen asked, being reminded of how a certain someone treated her back at Tex Hill. "Don't be rude to her!!!!" Rosa shouted. "Oh, look, a human decided to side with the weak wittle Chipper," a male student said. The students laughed at the two until the bell rang, bringing in the teacher.
"Attention students, we have a new student with us today, her name is Rosa Ortiz and she's from the human dimension, so treat her like you would treat any other witch," he said. "So, would anyone like to volunteer for her apprenticeship?" Chipper raised her hand excitedly as she was accepted as Rosa's mentor. "Alright Chipper, thank you for volunteering, give this to Rosa," the teacher through her a green rug to give to the teen. "Since Rosa has acquired her casting rug, let's continue with our lesson, so yesterday we read the first few chapters in our piece of paper at Rosa. "Read the note," they whispered. The teen opened the note and it read 'You don't belong here.' Rosa ripped up.the note, feeling angry inside, but not wanting it to get out. The teacher kept on talking and some students just kept bothering the teen when she was trying to pay attention. They kept on bothering her and bothering her until she finally was about to snap, but remembered something similar that happened at her first school.
When she attended Tex Hill Middle School, Rosa was just an ordinary girl, nothing weird about her at all. Even though she was normal, that doesn't mean she wasn't subject to bullying, the teen was bullied by the one, the only, Isabel Perez. She was bullied by her on the daily, but one day, Rosa grew tired of it, between two classes, when she found some water balloons in her pocket left by the blonde haired bully, she was blasted with water and fed up with her, so she went over to the rich girl and her snooty friends by venting her frustrations out on them by yelling at them, the four ended up in the principal's office and Rosa being innocent and the other three being on probation by spending time with the teen, with one of them being her future friend Lucinda.
Back in the present, the teen decided to continue paying attention to the lesson and ignoring everything else. When lunch started, Chipper ave Rosa sat at a table together, discussing what happened to them. "I can't believe witch teens are meaner than teens from my home dimension," she said. "Yeah, I know, that's why I want to change classes, everyone is just so mean, I thought it would be a thrilling experience, but then the classmates are just the worst, I may be weak when it comes to magic, but I still want to learn with no problems," the young witch explained. "Maybe yoy can teach me a spell then," the teen replied. "Good idea Rosa, I can teach you a simple hammer summoning spell," the two left the lunch room and went into the gym to be alone and practice. "Alright Rosa, set down your casting rug," the witch told her. The teen put down the dark green rug and placed it on the ground, making it glow. "Next, touch it with the hand you use to cast the spell," the teen girl placed her left hand on the rug, having it's glow transferred to that hand. "Finally, you have to draw a large vertical rectangle and a small horizontal square," Chipper explained. Rosa followed her directions and a hammer appeared in her hands. "Wow!!!" The girl said. "Now you can use the hammer any way you want," the witch replied. "So cool!!!!" Rosa cheered. "And to get rid of it, you tap the rug with the hand you used before," the teen girl followed those directions and the hammer went away. "You did a great job, I'll finally change my magic class, I can be in the Dust class!!!!" Chipper squealed. The other tinker students gathered around the two in envy of Chipper's success.
The students use their magic to capture them and trap them in another room. "Well well well, looks like some low class witches worked their way up the ladder," one of them said. "Terrence, I think Mr. Milori is on to us, I told Lyria to not tell him, but she spilled the beans and now we're busted!!!!" A female student shouted. The two friends woke up and noticed they were kidnapped by some jealous students. "You guys are loco!!!!!!" Rosa screamed. "Yeah, loco, whatever that means," Chipper replied. "It means crazy," the teen told her. "We may be loco, but low class witches like Chipper here should not teach stupid humans our magical ways," the leader, named Terrence, ranted to them. "So, it djesnt matter if you're a high class or low class witch, anyone from any dimension can learn magic if they're able," the young witch replied. "Oh, just because YOU think that doesn't mean it can happen!!!" The student yelled at her. Terrence grabbed Rosa's casting rug and stomped it to the ground, accidentally activating it. The teen girl slipped her hands and drew the shapes to activate the hammer summoning spell, using that hammer to break her and Chipper free. The two fought off Terrence and all the other Tinker class studemts, which was pretty impressive for those two, getting the attention of the Tinker teacher Mr. Milori. "My goodness, did you two do all this?" He asked. "Yeah," the two nodded. "That's pretty powerful for two students like you," the two got excited just from what he said. "So, dies that mean I get to change classes?" Chipper asked. "Ok, what classes do you two want to be in?" Mr. Milori asked. "Oh, I would like to be in the Dust class," Chipper replied. "And for me, I'll go with Music class," the teen told him. "Ok then, I tell Headmistress Castra so you can change classes, as for the rest of you, especially Terrence, will be in doing community service to make up for your misdemeanors!!!" He used his magic to send the other students outside for their punishment as the final bell rang.
Rosa and Chipper left the school excited that things have changed for them. "Adios Chipper, I hope you have a bueno afternoon," the teen said to her new friend. "You too, and maybe illlearn dome of your weird language," the witch giggled. The two left for their home as Dolores was waiting for her student. "So kid, how was school?" She asked. "It was loco," the teen replied.
