Chapter 14: It's Just The Beginning
The students arrived safely at Hogwarts after the field trip. The Nations were tired from the adventure and decided to head back to their houses like the other students.
Gryffindors crowded together as they go up the stairs. Canada, America, and Hungary are with Harry's group since they all get along well and they're in the same house.
"Honeyduke's Sweet shop is brilliant, but nothing beats Zonko's joke shop!" Ron says to Harry, telling what Hogsmeade's like.
"We never got the chance to go to the Shrieking Shack. It's the most-"
"Haunted building in Britain. Yeah, I know." Harry cuts Ron off.
The group stops in the middle of the moving staircase. "What's going on?" They looked at their destination to see another crowd formed at the passageway to their house.
"Probably Neville forgot the password again." A Gryffindor thought.
"Hey." Neville spoke, who was behind them the entire time.
"Oh, you were there."
"Let me through. Excuse me! I'm Head Boy." Percy, the Head Boy was let through the crowd. Several gasps was heard. Harry's group couldn't see anything yet because it was too crowded.
"No one is to enter this dormitory until it's been fully searched." Percy says with authority as the group closes in to the doorway.
Ginny spots Harry with Hermione and Ron. The Gryffindor Nations was behind them, listening.
"The fat lady, she's gone!" Ginny announces and looks back at the painting that guards the Gryffindor dormitory.
The fat lady? The lady at the painting that tried to shatter a glass cup with her voice? Hungary thought. How could a person in a painting be gone? They can enter another painting, so that's probably that.
Then, they finally see the canvas that is now torn. No fat lady was to be seen.
"Serves her right. She was a terrible singer." Ron managed to joke this time around.
"It's not funny, Ron." Hermione shushed.
The other paintings were panicking as well. They might be next. The Fat Lady could be gone forever, or she could be taking refuge in another canvas.
"Be calm, everyone." Percy says.
The Nations looked around them and every painting were in a panic. Some were crying, while other are filled with worry.
"Move!" Finally, Dumbledore has arrived at the scene. The Nations and the other Gryffindor students gave way and let him pass. With him is Argus Filch, the caretaker of Hogwarts. He was holding his cat, which was calm and still in his hands.
"Mr. Filch, round up the ghosts. Tell them to search every painting in the castle until they find the fat lady." Professor Dumbledore ordered, scanning the torn canvas.
"There's no need, professor-" Mr. Filch was cut off by a certain boy with an energetic voice.
"She's over there!" America yelled, pointing at the painting across from them. His voice echoed in the hall but it was disrupted immediately when the students all rushed to the other side to see the lady.
Hungary and Canada pulled America's arms, one each, and half-pulled half-dragged him to the painting where the fat lady is. By the time they got there, Dumbledore was in front if the canvas where the said lady has gone into.
"Dear lady, who has done this to you?" The old man asked.
The painting was quite smaller than the original canvas. The fat lady slowly rose up from behind a black wild hippopotamus with fear depicted in her face.
With a trembling and cracking voice, she answered, "Eyes like the devil! And soul as dark as his name... It's him headmaster... The one they all talk about. He's here! Somewhere in the castle. Sirius Black!"
"Secure the castle." Dumbledore whispered to the caretaker.
"The rest of you, to the Great Hall." The headmaster ordered, causing students to head to the said location.
"What did she say? Sirius Black?" Canada said to his fellow nations.
"I think so..." Hungary replied with uncertainty.
"What? Just because his name is Black? Don't be racist." Alfred says, making the two Nations look at him with distinct annoyance.
"Look who's talking." Hungary crossed her arms.
"What?" America tilts his head sidewards in confusion, having no clue at all why she's like this.
Canada sighs. "Just what is happening here?"

When the doors are all locked and sealed, England was restless in his room. The brit was walking back and forth nonstop, looking worried. Romania on the otherhand was looking outside the window, watching the full moon being slightly covered by clouds, creating a silver lining.
The word has spread to them, that Sirius Black is somewhere in the castle.
Prussia and Denmark are already fast asleep, snoring loudly than ever. They had a tiring day at Hogsmeade.
"England, calm down. Nothing bad is going to happen." Romania tried to calm Arthur, getting annoyed from his restless actions.
"I know that! But ever since we came back from Hogsmeade, I feel like something bad is happening. There's this feeling that I have, and it's heavy on the chest." England takes a rest, sitting on his bed.
"So you feel that as well, huh? Honestly, I feel that a certain someone is here." Romania grumbles.
"Yeah, it's Sirius Black."
"Idiot. I'm talking about your brother, Scotland." Romania hissed at England's ignorance.
Just then, realization hit England like a bullet train. His face paled and cold sweat was dripping from his head.
"Allistor?!" Englands's voice almost woke all the male Slytherins that night.
✣✵The Magic Within Me✵✣
The following day at breakfast, the whole Nations gathered together at the Hufflepuff table. Since everyone was busy with talk about Sirius Black, they had forgotten the Nations's minus points.
"And damn! The Great Hall was amazing! The ceiling was like the universe! It had clouds- or maybe smoke- or dust- but anyway, in it was galaxies and stars! It was so awesome!" America was full of glee and energy, telling the rest how great the Great Hall is.
"Not as awesome as me!" Prussia barges in.
"Nah, dude. Not even close." America bluntly pointed it out.
Everyone laughs, but the Magic Trio was uneasy. England and Romania were feeling paranoid and restless in their table while Norway, who was hiding somewhere in the hall, was waiting for the grand entrance with sweat building in his forehead.
Scotland, just what are you planning to do? Even Norway was nervous of the redhead, remembering the old times... When they all entered Hogwarts in its first year.
"Hm? Austria, you look tired." Iceland noticed Austria's worn out expression.
"I was just tired from running from the room to here. I don't want to be late ever again." The poor indoor Nation was pale and exhausted.
"I wonder who's fault was it." Denmark wiggled his eyebrows at Iceland, smirking.
"It's not my fault if I asked him to play music until midnight!" Iceland's face turned red.
In the middle of eating, the door opens with a loud bang, catching everyone's attention. Norway cursed and hoped that it won't be a massacre.
Seven people had entered the room, with a redhead in the front, located at the middle. The students had chills go up their spine, not knowing why. The newly arrived students were... Intimidating.
The Nations dropped all their forks and knives as the sight registers in their head. Scotland, Bulgaria, Japan, China, Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine are in Hogwart's uniform and they're all kids!
"What is happening?" Canada was panicking, looking at his friends and back at the newly arrived Nations repetitively.
"Trouble is happening, that's what." Romania said.
The redhead yawned loudly and stretched his hands, making everyone give him weird looks. "Last night, I was having a good sleep... Until I heard someone call out my name." Scotland glanced over to his brother, England, and smirked.
Arthur's skin color was slowly draining away from him. He clearly remembered yelling "Allistor" last night.
"Agh, whoever that was, he had some nerve calling out my name. Kinda creepy actually. Who the heck would call my name in the middle of the night?"
"Hey weirdo, stop blabbering. You're disturbing my breakfast!" Malfoy stood from his seat, annoyed at the newcomer's disturbance and nonsense.
"Oh, isn't it the son of Lucius Malfoy?" Scotland looks over to the direction of the Slytherin table.
"If you know my father, then you should know who you're up against. I am indeed the son of Lucius Malfoy, and I am Draco Malfoy." Draco looked at the redhead's tie and sees that he's a Slytherin.
Since he's a Slytherin, Draco decided not to bully the redhead that much.
"Transfer student, I believe? I haven't seen you in the Slytherin house or at Hogwarts at all. Well, this is just me being kind, I'll give you a tip. Don't be on my bad side." Draco says with his chin up high.
"Heh, okay then." Scotland plays along.
"You're a redhead, but I doubt you're a Weasley. From what family are you from?" Draco asks, curious.
"That's where you're mistaken. I am a Weasley." Scotland declares.
"What?" Draco looks at him with furrowed eyebrows.
"What?" England followed.
"What?" Ron looked at him from head to toe.
"He's a Weasley?" Harry asked Ron, whispering to him.
"No... I don't know... I've never met him or seen him in pictures. Not even during family reunions." Ron was confused, torn between two thoughts. Is he a Weasley or not?
"He can't possibly be a Weasley. Look at him, he's good-looking." Hermione says at the matter of fact.
Ron looks at her in disbelief. "I'm good-looking."
"Ginny's good-looking." Harry pointed out.
"Why aren't you siding with me?"
"I am."
"No, you're not."
While they were busy talking, Draco looked at the redhead with doubt. "You? A Weasley?"
"Yes, I am." Scotland assures him.
"You're a Slytherin."
"So what if I am?"
"It doesn't make sense."
"Red hair, freckles... I am a Weasley."
"Freckles?" Draco narrowed his eyes to see if he had freckles.
"They're too tiny for you to see."
"What's your name?" Draco asks.
"Allistor, Allistor Weasley."
The hall was filled with deafening silence. Everyone was in shock and disbelief. First of all, there are new students. Second, a new guy had dared to talk back to Draco even if he knew that Draco's a Malfoy. Third, the new guy is a Weasley.
"Kolkolkol! Allistor, we should head back." Russia suggests, breaking the silence.
"You're right, we should." Scotland turns back, and his companions followed suit. They left the hall, leaving everyone in utter confusion.
"So, does Allistor ring a bell?" Harry asks Ron.
"No, nothing." Ron shook his head.
In the Hufflepuff table, the Nations didn't know what to expect. Seven new Nations had entered Hogwarts, and Scotland's one of them. What exactly is he planning?
"What is happening?" Iceland looks at Romania and England for answers but it seemed like they don't know either.
"I can guarantee one thing. Scotland and his companions of Nations are not here just to study in Hogwarts." England sighs, leaning his forehead on his clasped hands.
"This isn't your first time in Hogwarts right? What was Scotland like before?" Denmark whispered.
"Scotland... Was a monster. He was considered a genius in the school, surpassing expectations and achieving top-notch remarks. His attitude and bad temper made him intimidating, and feared by all." England had a serious expression on his face while remembering the old times.
"Like you weren't like him." Romania rolled his eyes.
"It's called rivalry. Not to mention, wizards bribed you to sell your spells and potions to them during those times."
"It's just I love pranking people, thus experimenting and accidentally creating new spells and potions."
"What was Norway like?" Canada added in.
"Ah." The veterans chorused, letting all the memories rush in.
"He joined battles and wars." They said at the same time, feeling chills go up their back from the thought of it.
The newbie wizard Nations felt that they were like dirt in the ground. They had a grasp at how strong the Magic Trio were. Being normal and powerless, was painful more than ever. Never again would they joke about magic.
