Amity's POV:

The hissing of the rain tapped the barrier of the house. Luzy and I were in her bedroom relaxing to the thought of freedom away from our troubles at school. She was braiding my hair while I hummed from the relaxation.

"I love you," I gasped while yawning.

"I love you too Ami," Luzy replied while finishing the braid. I wrapped my arms around Luzy as she hugged back. Her warmth circulated me easing any tension from before. I brushed my hand by her ear while leaning in to kiss her. She replied by putting both of her hands on my cheeks and kissing me back passionately. We held on until our faces were cherry from loss of breath.

"You are too cute you know that," I gasped and her smile illuminated the room.

"Nuh-uh! You are Ami," Luzy teased with her hands on my shoulders.

"Well Luzy, what would you like to do?" I asked with a grin.

"Hmm, well what do you want to do?" Luzy replied with an electric smile.

"I don't know. That's why I asked you beautiful," I giggled while kissing her cheek.

"Well, I could introduce you to my mom via call. Despite the destruction of the portal, I can still access my data," she replied shyly.

"I would love that Luzy, how did your mom react to the news of you being here?" I asked nervously.

"She was heartbroken at first, but she also was happy that I found a place where I feel happy," Luzy replied with a smile.

"I'm glad she isn't like my mom," I claimed while brushing my hand next to Luzy's. She replied by grabbing my hand intertwining her fingers into mine. Luzy pulled out her phone and she pressed the call. It rang for less than a second until the lag showed her mom picking up.

"Hola hija, how are you?" her mom asked.

"I'm good. I wanted to introduce someone to you," Luzy replied with a slight blush.

"Who is this mystery person Luz?" her mom asked with a bit of laughter.

"Mami, this is my girlfriend, Amity," she introduced while squeezing my hand.

"Hello Mrs. Noceda," I chirped.

"Hola Amity is my daughter giving you trouble," she teased.

"No mam, she is wonderful and kind," I claimed while smiling.

"Luz, I'm happy to hear you found someone to make you happy," Mrs. Noceda cheered over the chipped microphone.

"Thank you mom," Luzy replied while blushing.

"Also, Amity will you keep her safe for me?" Mrs. Noceda asked.

"I will, it would kill me to see her get hurt," I replied while wrapping my arm around Luzy.

"Well, I'm sorry hija and Amity, I have to head off to work. I love you, Luz," her mom explained.

"I love you too Mami," she replied while putting down the phone. Quickly, she tried to stand up, but she started to plummet backward. Thankfully, I was able to stand up, and I had caught her in my arms.

"See, I'll protect you no matter what," I claimed when I pulled Luzy into a hug.

"I'm supposed to be your fearless champion," Luzy whined while giggling.

"You are dear, we protect each other," I exclaimed while kissing the back of her neck. She seemed to jump a little by this and I backed away in concern.

"Don't worry about that Ami, I am just a little sensitive there. I think it's cute," Luzy explained while circling behind me. She kissed my neck and I soon understood why she jumped.

"I see what you mean. I love you," I giggled watching Luzy's expression turn crimson.

"I love you too," she exclaimed while playing with my hair. We were interrupted by Hooty barging through the window. 

"Hoot! Hoot! That creepy boy named Mark is here," Hooty claimed.

"How the hell did he get here," Luzy growled while putting herself in front of me.

"I don't know, there is no, wait a minute. He is in illusions isn't he?" I asked puzzled.

"Yeah, I noticed his light blue uniform. I'm guessing that he teleported here didn't he," Luzy replied with a frown.

"Yeah, that bastard is really crazy, huh," I growled while grasping Luzy's hand. We got up and I held onto Luzy.

"Hoot! Hoot! I will inform Eda," he claimed leaving us in the room alone.

"We can tell him off again, come on Ami," Luzy comforted. I smiled and she unexpectedly picked me up.

"I love you," I gushed holding onto Luzy.

"I love you too, we can do this together," she smiled.

"We can do this together," I replied while kissing Luzy's cheek. She carried me downstairs, and she opened the door. Mark stood on the outside down on one knee with a ring in hand.

"Amity Blight, I would be honored if you took my hand in marriage," Mark claimed with an expensive-looking ring. He looked up to see me in Luzy's arms and a scowl covered his smug face.

"How many times do I have to tell you hell no!" I shouted as Luzy's grip became more protective.

"What makes this human any better than me? I'm rich, amazing with magic, sexy, and I can make you more powerful," he offered.

"First of all stop calling my girlfriend human, her name is Luz! She is smart, kind, sexy, powerful, artistic, optimistic, and the most amazing person you could ever meet. Also, I'm a lesbian, and would rather end myself than end up with you," I claimed while kissing Luzy's lip. He glared into our eyes and he scoffed.

"Fine, then Luz, what makes you think someone as low as you could ever earn a girlfriend like Amity?" he asked.

"First of all, what the fuck. You don't earn a girlfriend, it comes from mutual trust and attraction. Also, I know that I don't deserve her, but I would give up my life to love and care for her. You are just some entitled rich boy who wants to buy what he can't. Well, guess what, she doesn't like you," Luzy shouted while protectively holding on to me.

"I don't deserve you, babe," I whispered. The door behind us quickly opened.

"Hey kid, get the hell off my property," Eda growled with a protective tone.

"You can't tell me what to do, peasant," Mark replied smugly.

"Well, I'm warning you. If you come back, it will hurt," Eda informed with her staff in her hand.

"Fine, but your parents will be hearing of this future wife," Mark claimed as he started to teleport.

"Oh yeah, well fuck off Mark," I shouted watching Luzy's frown turn into a look of concern. 

"Hey kids, we should probably get inside. It's getting late," Eda informed while Luzy let me down to walk. She held on tightly to my hand as we made our way inside.

"Thanks for protecting me," I whispered to Luzy.

"Of course. I am your fearless champion," she giggled while wrapping her arm around me.

"Hey Amity, who is that kid?" Eda asked in concern.

"He is the boy that my parents chose for me to marry when I come of age. I refuse to let them win, but he is persistent. Luzy and I have been harrased by his constant attempts to try and break us apart," I explained shivering at that dark future.

"Boys are the worst. You are safe here Amity. I'll make sure he doesn't try and come on the premis of the owl house. I'm sorry you two have to deal with that," Eda comforted.

"Thank you Eda," we both replied in unison.

"You two should get to bed. If you want you could stay home from school tomorrow," Eda offered.

"Alright, goodnight Eda," Luzy replied.

"Goodnight Mrs. Eda," I replied while we walked to Luzy's room. We got changed and we laid together on the bed. Luzy wrapped her arms around me as I started to drift off to sleep.

"Goodnight love," I whispered.

"Goodnight Ami," Luzy replied while kissing my head. Sleep took over me as I laid in my lovers arms.
