A long time ago, a witch bestowed on the king and queen's new born baby ability to control dragons. The evil witch couldn't give herself these princess, so she had to give them to another. However, she had an ulterior motive to control the princess and make the princess enslave dragons for the evil witch.

There was a legend that foretold that a princess would have power over the dragons one day. Some people wanted to prevent this power from ever being in the wrong hands and sought to kill any princess that is born. Others viewed it as a saving grace that would help control any dragons from harming anyone in the kingdom.

When princess Gabby was born, the king and queen noticed a mark on her shoulder—the mark of a dragon. They suspected the legend was true and that their daughter would possess the power to control the dragons. They did not know how this would manifest itself and how she would use this gift. They were nervous.

They wanted to keep this knowledge a secret. However, the night of her birth a dragon approached the king and queen secretly in their bedroom. He handed them a note:

"Dear King and Queen of Nowhere,
I am Blade— protector of your baby. From now on, I will be sure nothing and no one harms her.
Sincerely,
Blade
From the NightWalker Clan."

On that fateful night, someone was trying to get the baby girl, but what no one knows is that, since Gabby is a dragon princess who can feel when she is in trouble because her birthmark glows and that alerts the dragon there was trouble.

So, when the person was trying to get Gabby, a baby dragon came to the king and queen's bedroom and gave the royalty a note that said 'someone is in the castle and is trying to get your daughter.'

The king and queen both look at the baby dragon in shock and they quickly get up and run to where Gabby is. When they opened the door, they found a person trying to jump out of the window with Gabby in his arms.

The baby dragon waddle to where the person was and grabs the guy's pants with its teeth and drags him the the king and queen. The baby dragon plops down on the ground where the king and queen is at and wag its tail back and forth while staring at them. Soon enough some guards came, took the man and threw him in a cell.

The king and queen decided that the baby dragon Blade is going to protect the young princess Gabby. And so on that day, Blade and Gabby grew up together over the years and they became the best of friends.

But how did the man get in the kingdom and grab Gabby? Didn't the king say 'don't tell anyone outside of the gates'? And if so, then who was that person and how did he get in?
