Chapter 2 - Children inside! A storm is coming!

And the months passed...
The villagers began to work when the sun slipped through the crack in the door of their houses.
They had their chores divided up, the older ones took care of the children and told them stories. At least once a week they would tell him about how their village was founded, the vicissitudes they endured in the forest and how together, thanks to mutual help, they got out of it. It was also a way to contain their curiosity and have them limit themselves to playing within the visible limits of their tired eyes.
That day the heart of the forest felt agitated, the treetops moved as if from the earth something was blowing towards the sky.
After the afternoon the villagers finished their chores, they were all day looking suspiciously at what was happening in that forest, but no one spoke about it so as not to generate fear.
The sun was about to set when in the blink of an eye the forest calmed down. Slowly an indigo-blue mist with bright specks of light rose from deep in the forest and began to mix with a few clouds in the sky. The clouds began to churn like cream in a blender and when they were thick enough they began to descend. The first thing they touched was a group of birds and they quickly crystallized and fell to the ground.
Everyone was running scared, trying to take shelter, and the screams of parents calling for their children could be heard.
- Children inside! A storm is coming! - They told them while pointing their index fingers inside their houses.
They closed their doors and shutters as best they could, some pulled up some furniture as a barricade, others put their blankets to cover the crack under the door.
Galani and Liana were clinging to their mother while Alexander did the same as the others.
But nothing contained the magic cream that spilled everywhere in the valley.
The whole house inside began to light up with that magical fluorescent blue color, that color caught the attention of the little ones. The first to crystallize was Liana who touched the wall out of curiosity. The second one was the mother who was scared when she saw that Liana was starting to crystallize and tried to push her away, and then it was the others.
Finally the whole valley fell into an eternal winter and time in that place stopped for 70 years.
