When we finish eating breakfast, we then put all of our dishes in the dishwasher and check again to make sure that we have everything. Whoops.. I forgot my phone....

"Hey guys.. I forgot my phone. Sorry. I'll go get it really quick." I say, and jog back up the stairs. Then I grab the lavender phone and stuff it in my bag with the rest of my stuff. Then I head back downstairs (sorry Emily and Vicky, downshtaihrs.) and join the rest of the group who has already started walking down the sidewalk to school. Dash joins me, and we begin the half-hour long walk to school.

When we arrive at school, we are there 10 minutes early. Hey, I won't complain. We get extra time to practice, and we could really use it. I mean, playing soccer as you have WINGS and POWERS..... that could get interesting. Especially since I am still learning how to control my magic and hide my wings. Well the wings I have under control for now, since they are strapped to my back, but my magic... well... just don't be surprised if things start floating through the air and explode around me.... Anyway, back to the game. It might seem easy for us to win with six players, but if none of us have played for a week, we are a little rusty. The teams we will be playing will be just as good as us, if not better, so we REALLY need to step up our game- big time. That means practice whenever we can, to assure that we are ready for the uncoming game. Dash divies us up, and I am on a team with her and Flit, while Jackie, Unicity, and Peony are against us. As we get into position, Dash gives us a word of "knowledge".

"Good luck to both 'teams'!" she says, making the fake air quotations with her hands. I mean, after all, we are all together, even as we are on different teams. The game begins in three.... two..... one...... GO! Dash kicks the ball forward, and gets ready to shoot- I guess Jackie, Unicity, and Peony weren't expecting that, as they stand still for a second, and then run after her. I watch as Unicity jumps in front of Dash, making her skid to a stop. That gives Unicity enough time to steal the ball and make towards our goal. As Dash and I run after Unicity, Flit turns away, as if she is afraid of the ball- oh dear.. That will NOT help us win...

Unicity passes the ball to Jackie, who passes the ball to Peony. Peony makes a run for our goal, and I hold my breath in anticipation. Then Dash intercepts the ball and passes it to me. I run all the way back down the field and pass the ball to Dash who shoots. Aaaaannnnnndddd.... Dash kicks the ball 15 feet into the air aaaannnndddd.... scores! Woo hoo!!! That was awesome! I have no idea how she did it, but it was still awesome! Don't get me wrong, Dash is a good player and strong and all that, but she's not THAT strong!

"Woo hoo!" she screams, and Flit and I run over to her and give her a hug (with some help from Peony's cannon, which shot confetti ALL OVER US) for the score. I hear some clapping from the benches, and turn to face them. Whoops! It looks like the whole team showed up and were watching us the whole time! Well, THAT'S embarassing...

"Thank you, thank you," we all say, and give them bows, "we totally meant to put on a show and stuff." They start laughing, with Flash being the loudest. Okayyyy.... That's kinda weird..... But I have to find out how Dash was able to make that amazing kick! I pull her aside, and I just have to ask.

"So... Dash... How did you make that shot? It was amazing!" I say, and the smile vanishes from her face. Uh oh...

"I'm honestly not sure...." she says. "Do you think it has to do with the um.." she looks around, making sure no one was around, "recent developments?" I can tell that she is just as confused as the rest of us. Huh...

"I don't know, but be careful! We can't have anyone becoming suspicious and catching us! Let's just start the meeting as if nothing happened. Mrs. Hornfeather isn't here today, so you're the captain." I tell her, and she nods.

"Ok everyone, listen up!" she yells, and everyone else turns to face her. "Let's start up with some warmups!"

"Okay!" everyone else yells, and we start doing some laps around the field. As we run, I notice that we are all much faster than the rest of the team. Hm... Maybe something to do with the magical powers and wings. By the time we are done, everyone else but us six are panting for breath.

"I call versing Twi, Dash, Jackie, Bryan, Luke, and Carlos!" Flash yells, and I accept. Sure, it is a 6v7, but us smaller people can still rise to the top. Dash and I are offense, Jackie is midfield, Luke and Carlos are defense, and Bryan is the goalie. Nicely for us, he is the TEAM'S goalie, so we do have a slight advantage, minus the number of people per team. We all line up, and it is ON! The goalies count down, and the game begins. Again. Here goes nothing!

When it is 15 minutes before school starts we all stop and, as it turns out, my team won! I mean, I didn't have a doubt, but still. We were outnumbered. Dash packs up, and we all head inside to change. Ohhhhh.... wait.... what are the others going to think when they see my wings...... Um.... I can tell that Dash is thinking of something bad, because she has a specific look on her face. Let's just say that it is the 'Lindsey appropriate' face, and that we probably don't want to know. Anyway, back to the wings. I guess I could say that I slipped and fell when I was on vacation.... But I don't think that they will believe that.... Hmm.... You know what? I think that I am thinking too hard. I'll just wing it (heh.. WING it.....) and say the first thing that comes into my head. I head over to my locker (#133) and unlock it.

Huh. That reminds me of a funny time from last year.... I was in the locker room, and I noticed that the locker above me was always open, and never locked. Because the person had colored the three numbers of their combination, I locked the lock and then opened it again, until I got the combination right. Then whenever they left it open, I closed it, and whenever they left it locked, I unlocked it. (True story. XD I'm not lying) They never figured out who did it. XD When I am sure no one is looking, I whip off my shirt (ow) and put back on my regular one as fast as I possibly could. Then I change my shorts back into pants, fold my uniform (yes, it ALWAYS must be done - once, again, true life experience) and put it neatly back into my locker.

"Hey guys! Remember no gym today! We have an assembly!" I hear Dash yell, and I say thank you, and get ready to leave. I close my lock, and head over to the mirror, where I check my hair, and then head out the door. I wait outside the locker room with a book, and slowly but surely my teammates come out, and we head to class together.
