Chapter 8
"Come on, Eunseokie," Hoseok's mom tried to feed the stubborn baby her baby food. "Just one last spoon,"
The baby spluttered some babbles, opening her mouth reluctantly and letting her mother spoon the berry flavoured mush into her mouth.
"There we go!" The mother said happily. "All done!"
She wiped the baby's lips with a tissue, before smiling up at her oldest son who walked into the room and hugged her.
"Hobi, had a good day?" She asked as he moved away, nodding.
"Yeah. How about you, Eomma? How's little Eun doing?" He leant down and squished the cheeks of his younger sister, who squealed in reply.
"We're fine," Hoseok's mom laughed. "Go freshen up. By the way, I was thinking of going down to the Parks' place. Want to come?"
"Sorry, Eomma," he shook his head. "I got to sign up some school reports, including Li-na and Jungkook's. Have a good time, though,"
"Okay, son," she chuckled, watching the sunshine boy skip up the stairs.
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_
"He's so handsome," Lisa gushed, hands waving around to express her feelings. "He has those big, brown eyes, and that little smile, but most of all, he's got tattoos, like a whole sleeve of them!"
"I know what Jungkook looks like, you know," Yoongi rolled his eyes, going back to his phone.
"I wasn't speaking to you," she mimicked his eye roll, before continuing to gush about Jungkook to Tae.
"Uh, Lisa... I think I know what Jungkook looks like as well," Taehyung awkwardly cut her off.
"Seriously," she huffed. "You won't even let me fangirl properly. When's Li-na getting home? She'll listen to me,"
"She should be home soon," Yoongi glanced at the clock.
"Where'd that girl even go?" Taehyung scoffed.
"Out with her 'Seonbae'," Lisa teased innocently, before frowning at the two boys that had froze in their actions and were staring at her.
"She's out with... Kai?" Taehyung said, slowly and dangerously.
"Lisa," Yoongi stared at her menacingly. "How long have you known this for, and NOT DECIDED TO TELL US?"
Lisa jumped at Yoongi's outburst, frantically laughing and waving her hands in front of her.
Yoongi while angry was terrifying.
"Hey, it's okay! No need to get so worked up about nothing! She's just having a meal with-"
"I'm home!"
Everyone stared at Li-na, who slid her shoes off and threw a flying kiss in their direction.
"Did you guys miss me?" She laughed playfully, going to the kitchen and putting her bag down.
She opened it and started rummaging through it, babbling at the same time.
"I got some snacks for you guys, even some biscuits-"
"Where have you been?" Yoongi interrupted her with a glare.
She glanced at the snack bags in her hand, and then at him. "Uh, out?"
Taehyung was about to interrogate her but decided not to, as Yoongi already seemed to have got there first.
"You went out with that boy that came over, didn't you? You said he was just your senior, but now you're going places with him!? Having meals? We all know you have a crush on him, but I won't allow you to-"
"Oppa!" she interrupted him, frowning. "Yoongi, calm down!"
"How can I 'calm down' knowing my sister is running around on the streets with some random boy?"
"I'm not running around anywhere!" Li-na said angrily. "And he's not 'some random boy'. I know him, Lisa knows him, Jungkook knows him, what more do you need?"
He stared at her, his eyes darkening.
"I'm not going to argue with you over a boy," Yoongi said in a quiet yet threatening tone.
"Then don't," she replied back rudely, grabbing her bag and sliding it onto her shoulder.
She stormed past them all, stopping and glaring at Taehyung before disappearing up the stairs and into her room with a loud bang.
Yoongi smashed his fist against the kitchen island, breathing heavily in frustration.
"Hyung," Taehyung went to him. "Don't do that,"
"Taehyung," Yoongi gritted his teeth, staring straight ahead with murderous eyes. "Everything that you told me... Is it true?"
"Everything is completely true, Hyung,"
"This means," the elder boy straightened up, fists clenched. "We need to keep Kim Jong-in away from Li-na. At all costs,"
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_
Taehyung flopped down onto his bed, arms and legs spread out like a starfish.
He'd had a long day, starting with threats, work, business matters, and then rounding up nicely with Min Li-na having a tantrum.
He cursed under his breath, remembering how he'd received a package that morning.
It was a beautifully sculpted clay hand, so realistic that for a second he thought it was real.
It showed blood dripping from the gashes painted into the clay, Hangul letters carved artistically into the palm.
'뒤를 조심해, 킴. 내 손바닥 안에는 네가 가장 아끼는 여자가 있어.'
'Watch your back, Kim. I have the girl you care the most about right in my palm'
It was a threat.
The hand was meant to symbolize what he could do to Li-na.
Taehyung had instantly called for guards, springing into action and running out of the penthouse with a rifle in his hand, searching around for Kai.
After hiding no one and seeing that his security system was jammed, he'd sat down and contemplated carefully.
The hand was most definitely sent by Kai. Li-na had even once mentioned that he liked pottery (much to Taehyung's dismay, as she had previously swooned over it).
There was no way an ordinary 20 year old boy could slip past his guards and CCTV.
He had then called Yoongi, asking him to come over, and then explained everything. From the talk they had outside of the convenience store, to the incident that had taken place just half an hour before.
Yoongi had been completely chill about it, telling him that he need not to worry, he wouldn't let anything happen to his younger sister and that Li-na wasn't serious about him at all, she just thinks that she likes him because she's never been in love-
Hah.
That's where he was wrong.
TAEHYUNG'S POV
So... Let's recount.
Min Li-na is still the annoying ass girl she always was.
But now she likes some guy.
That guy seems to hold a grudge and hates me after me trying to split the two up.
But actually, he's using Li-na and making it extremely obvious to me.
Which is kinda dumb, considering that Yoongi and I will literally break his bones (we're not even going to speak about what the other guys and Lisa will do).
But it's not dumb if that's the way his plan is supposed to unravel.
Li-na is too stupidly hindsighted and innocent to realize that he has an ulterior motive, so that makes it easier for him and his ugly, squished up potato face.
But what could this guy be after?
Who was Kai really?
---------------
Not Kai being a villain 💀
I added a small part of our J-hope because... Idk, I just felt like it 😅
Happy (extremely belated) Hobi Day!
What do you think is going to happen next?
