Chapter 2

"Li-Li!"

Jeon Jungkook bounced up to the girl who immediately moved away from the arm he tried to throw around her shoulder.

"Go away, Jungkook!" She grumbled, crossing her arms and walking away from the school they'd emerged from. He followed after her like a sick puppy, begging for attention.

"Please forgive me, Li-na!" He whinged, tugging at her backpack strap. "I'll even hold your bag for you!"

"I won't forgive you, never," she said dramatically, smiling secretly as she saw his face drop.

She knew just how anxious he got when she ignored him.

"I'm really, really sorry!" He gave her big doe eyes, pouting. "I'll never do it again!"

"You swear?"

"I swear upon my banana milk delivery that arrived yesterday that I'll never push you into the pool again,"

"Fine," she sighed, smiling. "But you have to buy me ttbeokki,"

"Deal," he grinned, sliding her bag over his free shoudler.

Jungkook was Li-na's best friend. He was a year older than her, and was frequently at their house with Yoongi's other five friends (one of which being Taehyung).

He was the youngest of the seven boys, and found it fun to hang out with Li-na, seeing as they were in the same class at school- he had been put back a year due to failing his exams.

The two got along very well, and found comfort in eachother. There was no romantic feelings between either of them, and never would be.

"Oh!" Jungkook said as they walked back from the ttbeokki stall, pointing at a black, sheeny Maserati parked up on the side of the road. "Isn't that Hyung's car?"

Li-na followed his line of view and sighed as a tall figure came out of the car, his hand resting on the door frame as he winked at her.

"Min Li-na!" Taehyung drawled, raising two fingers in salute to Jungkook, who waved. "I've been looking for you,"

"What do you want, Taehyung?" She rolled her eyes, knowing that trouble was ought to follow the Kim Family's only son.

"I'm here to pick you up,"

Great, she thought.

"Oh," she voiced simply. "Don't worry about it, Jungkook can take me,"

He glanced at Jungkook, who immediately got the message and smirked knowingly.

"Oh, sorry, Li-Li," he pouted, putting on a sad voice. "My mom took my bike away, saying it was too dangerous. I have to wait at my dad's company until he finishes work to drop me home. You should go with Hyung,"

Li-na groaned, walking towards Taehyung's car and sitting in the passenger seat as Jungkook threw her bag into the back of the car.

He waved and walked off, not before pulling out his phone and texting Taehyung.

You owe me, bro. You'd better spill the shit next time we meet.

Taehyung grinned, sending a message back and climbing into the front seat of the car.

Thanks, Kook.

"So," Li-na started, after he started the car up and drove off in the direction of her home. "Why did you pick me up? Where's Oppa?"

"Yoongi asked me to get you," he said languidly, using his free hand to brush his hair back from his forehead. "He said he's busy,"

"Busy?" She mumbled, glancing shyly at the way the muscles in his arm flexed when he turned the steering wheel.

"Take a picture," he smirked, his eyes never leaving the windscreen. "It'll last longer,"

She scoffed, quickly averting her eyes to look out the window. "I wasn't staring at you,"

"You always lie around me, darling," he tutted, shaking his head. "Bad girls don't go to heaven,"

"Neither do bad boys," she retorted. "Especially vain, egoistic ones like you,"

"You think I'm bad?" His eyes glittered in amusement.

"Yes," she said bluntly. "You work with guns and kill people more times a day than you blink, and seem to get some weird buzz out of annoying me all the time,"

He chuckled, reaching out and pulling on a strand of her hair. "Show some respect to your senior,"

"Don't touch my hair!" she protectively pushed it to one side, unconsciously exposing the side of her slender neck.

Taehyung bit his lower lip, something inside of him churning.

It was making him feel weird.

"Uh-" he threw a scarf at her, gesturing for her to wrap it around her.

"What?" She raised an eyebrow, staring at the Gucci scarf.

"Cover your neck up," he said, blinking a few times and looking ahead. "You might get a cold,"

She snorted while wounding the scarf around her neck. "It's 30°C outside,"

"You still put it on though,"

"Shut up,"

The two of them sat back in comfortable silence, the only sound heard being the soft, healthy purr of the car's engine.

Li-na pulled out her phone, texting Yoongi.

Oppa, why'd you have to send this asshole to pick me up?

Her phone pinged as Yoongi's reply popped up.

Sorry, Li. I'm super busy :(

"Yeah, right," she mumbled to herself, dropping her phone into her lap. "He's probably going to take a nap,"

"Something wrong?" Taehyung quipped, making her shake her head.

"Of course not,"

An evil smirk pasted across his face as he slammed his foot down on the brake pedal, making her jolt forward and hit her head against the glove box of the overly expensive car.

"Ow!" She scowled at him as he laughed, taking a picture of her clutching her forehead.

"You look so stupid," he chortled, driving off again as she cursed at him under her breath.

"Stupid bastard!"

"How was school, my baby?" Yeji hugged Li-na tight, before pushing her to the dining room where Yoonseok and Yoongi sat. "Let's eat, you must be famished,"

Li-na wasn't particularly hungry after eating the street food Jungkook had bought her, but sat down to eat in respect to her mom's thoughtfulness.

"How was school, sweetheart?" Yoonseok asked with a smile.

"Good," she nodded, trying to come up with a more creative answer for the question she got asked every day. "Jungkook and I had swimming class for the first time this year,"

"I heard he pushed you into the school pool," Yoongi nudged her elbow as she nudged his back.

"Yeah, he did, and I got soaked. And I know you were taking a nap instead of being 'busy',"

"You shouldn't rely on me all the time. Next time, you can walk," he stuck his sharp tongue out, chuckling as she pretended to stab him with her fork.

"Don't you sound too happy about that, Min Yoongi. You never know what could come your way while you sleep,"

"Ah, but I do. Don't you know that I keep guards outside my room?"

"I can easily slip through them,"

"Try, little sis,"

She grinned, displaying her even teeth. "Your call, not mine,"

With that being said, the two siblings began eating as their parents chuckled at their warm, playful words.

Yoongi laid in his bed, waiting with a small smile for Li-na to try get into his bedroom to attack him with a pillow.

He watched from the small door-cam on the wall nearest to his bed as she tried to persuade the guards, hiding her weapon behind her back.

Seeing her attempts going to vain, he spoke quietly into his phone, sending a message to the men's earpieces.

"Let her in, boys,"

He shut off the camera and prepared himself for battle, a pillow firmly tucked behind his back.

As Li-na crept into the room, softly but evilly giggling, he shut his eyes, pretending to be asleep.

"Yoongi Oppa," she crooned, raising the pillow. "I told you I could get in!"

He lay still, making her bring the pillow down to smack him, before quickly grabbing his own pillow and hitting her with it.

She gasped, confused and betrayed, as he laughed at her bewildered expression.

"Got ya!" he crowed in victory.

She raised the pillow in fury. "Yah, pretending to be asleep is cheating!"

The sister pummelled her brother with hits of the pillow as he fought back, smacking her with his pillow, until both burst and duck feathers were sprawled across the room.

Yoongi gawped at the mess, Li-na nervously smiling while brushing down her nightdress.

"Uh, I think it's time I go to bed-"

Yoongi grabbed her by the back of her collar as she tried to run off, giving her a serious look.

"If mom or dad asks..." He gazed at her with complete gravity. "You burst the pillows,"

She frowned, crossing her arms. "Why should I take the blame!? You're older!"

"You're younger!" He pointed out.

"So?"

"They love you more than me! They'll definitely punish me, but won't punish you!"

"That's not how it wor-"

"What is going on in here?"

There stood Min Yoonseok and Min Yeji in the doorway.

"Li-na? Yoongi?" Yeji said sternly. "Why are the duck feather pillows all over the floor?"

Yoongi exchanged glances with Li-na, speaking in sibling code that no outsider could understand.

Run!

The parents yelled after their chaotic kids as they sped out of the room from different exits, giggling wildly.

For at least another hour of that night, laughing and lighthearted shouting echoed across the halls of the Min mansion.

---------------

I bring you the second chapter of 'The Mafia's Love'.

I just realized that I named this FF with a very simplistic name, intending to change it before publishing. Yeah, I completely forgot about that part 😂.

I'm wondering... Should I make Yoongi and Li-na the typical, always fighting siblings? Or cutesy, loving siblings? Maybe a bit of both?

Forgive me for my lack of knowledge on sister-brother relationships. I have no brothers, unfortunately.

Random question: Who's the most annoying person in your life? Are they good annoying or bad annoying?

Happy reading!
