Silence.

Only silence.

An arrogant smirk formed on Baekhyun's face as he tilted his head and licked the corner of his lips while staring into Jungkook's eyes who was glaring back at him. Closing the door behind her, Yn spoke, getting the idea that her protective fiancé might be burning with aggression upon seeing the only man whom she teased him about.

Yn: "Jungkook this is Baekhyun. Baekhyun, this is Jungkook, my fiancé" She introduced him and coiled her arm around his left one, while her other hand gently caressed Jungkook's back which made him look at her. She gave him a sincere smile, melting his heart instantly and he averted his gaze towards Baekhyun who was now staring at their coiled hands with a dark gaze.

"Why is he constantly staring at her?!"

Jungkook growled internally before clearing his throat a bit. A smile spread across his face and he spoke. "Nice to meet you Baekhyun, Yn has told me about you" Baekhyun smiled back, of course not showing the decent one as he nodded and offered his hand for a handshake. "Of course. Nice to meet you too and well, I'm surprised that this cute partner of mine mentioned about me. Such a great pleasure" He spoke while giving Yn his flirty smile.

In an instant, Jungkook grabbed his hand and now an arrogant smile took place on his facial features as he stared into his eyes. "Well, it is indeed an honour to finally meet you" he spoke while squeezing his hand a bit to which Baekhyun responded with a chuckle, and that act was enough for his suspicion to grow stronger than before.

"He is definitely not what he shows!"

As this thought crossed his mind, he withdrew his hand and looked at Yn before speaking. "Well, you need help with something babe?" Shaking her head, she uncoiled her arm and answered before entering the kitchen. "Everything is prepared, Baekhyun will be joining us for the dinner. You guys can go to the dining room and get to know each other a bit, I will bring the dishes"

Jungkook gladly took this opportunity and gave Baekhyun a wicked smile. "Dining room is this way, let's go" With mutual feelings, Baekhyun smiled back and followed him without any tint of fear. He was ready to face the challenge, he has to if he wants his plan to be successful.

Jungkook: "So Mr. Byun, when did you join the company?" Jungkook asked, trying to be as polite as possible. Smiling sarcastically at him, Baekhyun answered without any hesitation. "2 days ago" Nodding at his words, the two of them shared an intense stare until Baekhyun broke the silence.

Baekhyun: "So you and Yn are getting married huh? When is the date?" Jungkook smirked before answering. "Next month, 18th. We are together since college times, and now we are finally ready to share this beautiful bond" He spoke softly with pure feelings which triggered Baekhyun. How can he build a happy family after destroying someone's life?

"I won't let that happen Jeon Jungkook!"

Baekhyun: "Ahh I see. Congratulations" He greeted and before Jungkook could respond, he turned around upon hearing Yn's voice who soon came with the bowl of rice in her hands. Her cheerful smile made his heart warm and he admired her figure. Baekhyun smiled too, he never thought that even after so many years, she will be having the effect in his heart.

Baekhyun: "Oh you are doing so much of work Yn, wait let me accompany you" Before Yn could react, he stood up and approached the kitchen. "Where are the plates?" He asked and she followed him leaving Jungkook alone who now fumed with anger. How dare a man get near to the love of his life and that too in front of him?

The audacity!

Balling his fist, he watched them as two of them were talking and laughing.

"Calm down Jungkook no one can take her away from you, and if someone tried, they will witness their death" mumbling to himself, he forced a smile on his face when both of them came with the rest of the things, and finally settled down. The three of them had dinner while chatting, and in between Jungkook was shooting some short glares at Baekhyun which made Yn so done with his behaviour.

Baekhyun: "So that's why I came, can you help me with the selection Yn?" He asked to which Yn responded with a nod followed by a reassuring smile. "Of course! We can go tomorrow if you are free" Baekhyun smiled before nodding and stood up, while fixing his blazer. "I guess I should leave now, good night. I will see you tomorrow Yn and it was nice meeting you Mr. Jeon" He threw him a mocking glance before making his way towards the living room as Yn escorted him.

As she turned around, she gasped in surprise upon finding her fiancé leaning against the wall near the door. His arms were crossed over his chest and his gaze was intense. "What happened?" She asked as he let out a scoff in response to her question.

Jungkook: "What happened? Are you being serious Yn? That guy-"

Yn: "His name is Baekhyun and he is my colleague" She cut him off while walking past by him, clearly knowing about his possessive and jealous behaviour. She wasn't generally bothered by it but sometimes it gets out of control. Jungkook shot her an intense glare before following her to the living room where she was cleaning up.

Jungkook: "Your so- called colleague was hitting on you and that too in front of me. And about helping him with the interior décor of his house, who the hell asks for such favour? Are you the only colleague in the whole office?" He started to bombard her with his suspicious words not realising that she was now staring at him with an adoring smile on her face.

Yn: "Why don't you understand that I am only yours? Hmm?" Her soft voice and those words made him freeze as he now stared at her with an unreadable expression. Approaching him, she wrapped her arms around his neck and stared into his big doe eyes, kissing the tip of his nose she smiled making Jungkook to wrap his arms around her waist.

His anger was long gone, only she can keep him sane. Only she can give him the happiness in the dark world where he lives in, so getting possessive over the one who is the sole reason of your existence and sanity isn't bad right? Though she always reassures him with such comforting words, but the thing which he has kept hidden from her always reminds him of the fear.

The fear of losing her...

Jungkook: "I do understand... It's just" he paused for a moment before speaking again. "I don't want to lose you" Mumbling the last part under his breath, he snuggled his nose on her neck, trying to find the warmth of comfort in her embrace which he always does. Yn stared at the wall in front of her as her smile slowly dropped. She was tired, tired of his gestures as to why he was that afraid when it comes to her?

Mustering up the courage, she finally asked making Jungkook freeze at his spot.

Yn: "You are hiding something from me aren't you Jungkook?"
