~Lucy's POV
I was lying in my bed with Natsu's arm around my waist. I seriously couldn't be happier. I got the family I've always wanted.
Right now, it was night time and I couldn't sleep. I know Natsu's been sleeping for awhile now. His soft snores are cute. Once Nash turned six he shared his room with Erza's son, Reiki.
It should have come up as a surprise that Jellal and Erza were having a child, but it didn't. Their love was so obvious yet subtle as if they have been married for years. The others are still in girlfriend boyfriend status. Though Mira and Laxus will be marrying soon.
We're sleeping a lot in the mafia's homemade because why not? However if we're sleeping in our own home, Nash did have his own room.
But there was one simple reason why I couldn't sleep. I'm worried.
I'm not worried about Natsu is overworking or tiring himself. I know he's busy with managing everything going on with being a CEO and a boss, but I do hope he could take a break soon.
I'm worried about Nash.
Sometimes I wonder what Natsu did as a kid, because with the way he raises Nash... Let just say Natsu is sometimes a little harsh. Natsu pushed him into doing martial arts.
And he wouldn't listen to me no matter what. I guess it's good he did, but as a mother I would feel scared for Nash.
And the worst thing is, I think Nash himself likes it. That's good, for him, but I don't want my son to turn into a sadistic monster.
There is a match tomorrow, from his 'club' and everyone can enter. And Nash wanted to enter too.
I hope he won't get hurt. That is the last thing I want right now.
I shrieked when I felt Natsu pulling me closer to his bare chest, the soft movement of his breathing feeling calming, but also nerving for some reason.
And no, we didn't have sex. He just finds it hot every night so he sleeps every night shirtless.
Anyways, I felt Natsu snuggling his face in my neck. He liked to do that. "Why can't you sleep, baby?" Natsu asked.
It didn't surprise me he woke up. When I have problems he was always awake. I sighed."Tomorrow."
"Are you worried about him getting hurt?"
I opened my mouth, but he didn't let me speak.
"Of course you're worried about that. Why do I even ask such an obvious question?" Natsu said, groaning lightly. It made me smile, but I can't stop feeling scared.
He sat up straight on the bed, so I followed. Our backs were against the wall. Natsu hugged me from the side.
"Don't worry. I saw him training one time, the others won't stand a chance. And even if he get hurts, he'll only get stronger and he won't blame you, if that's what you think. And there are people, who will stop them if someone crosses the line," Natsu whispered in my ear.
It didn't stop my anxiety though. He pulled my head to his chest. "Sleep, you need it." He put his hand on my head, slowly massaging it.
I forced my eyes to close and felt myself slowly falling asleep.
Natsu slowly left kisses on my forehead, my heart melting on the inside.
The next day I woke up, I still felt Natsu embracing me. It is Sunday, so Natsu should be free. Or not. Whatever plans he has though, he had never missed one of Nash's matches.
He always makes time for us. I felt Natsu move slightly and a second later he woke up. He rubbed his eyes. "What's the time?" he asked in his husky morning voice.
"Nine am," I answered and he immediately pushed himself up, looking alerted. I stared at him confused. "What's wrong?"
"Shit man! I promised Nash to help him warm up! I gotta go!" Natsu said in a hurry and quickly kissed my forehead. He saw his shirt on the ground where he threw it yesterday.
He almost stumbled while putting it on. I laughed. This man. "Stop laughing. It's too early to be an object only for your mere entertainment," he scolded. He looked around. "Shit. Fuck. Where's my phone?"
I rolled my eyes. Now I know where Nash got his curse words from. I shook my head, he'll get an earful from me later. "I'll bring it to you later," I said while he nodded and left.
I went lazily to the bathroom and washed my face. I looked at myself in the mirror.
I dressed myself and went to the kitchen. I smiled when I saw a plate set up for me. I knew it was Lisanna that made it today because Natsu was in a hurry, but she obviously followed his every order.
Natsu always thinks about something different. There was 'I love you' spelled on the pancakes.
(Oh damn! I want a boyfriend who makes this for me😂😂)
I sat down and went to eat it, enjoying myself endlessly. Lisanna entered the kitchen and wiggled her eyebrows.
I laughed, Lisanna would always tease me about Natsu. She and I became a lot closer with each other over the last years. I love it even more that Natsu treats them equally too.
Well, mostly equally.
I waved everyone goodbye and went to the mafia, making sure to grab Natsu's phone off the nightstand. Most people walking stared at me for a moment before they returned to their business. I know everyone was judging me.
And not the good kind.
But I didn't bother to think about the strangers I will never see again. Once I entered the base people greeted me with delight.
I smiled and greeted them back. I went to the training room, and just like I thought I saw Nash and Natsu training.
You can obvious tell Natsu is holding back. No doubt about that. Nash would stand no chance against an experienced fighter. I was honestly surprised at how swift Nash's movements were though.
Pretty impressive for a six year old boy. I sat on the bench and continued watching them. I don't feel like doing anything else. Nash already knows that his father is part of the mafia, better let him grow up with it than find out later.
I saw Natsu guiding him on his footwork and fighting stance. It surprised me how they haven't seen me yet.
They got in positions and next thing I know is Nash on the ground and Natsu holding him there. The chicken nuggets?!!
I thought he was holding back, no doubt Natsu used his actually power... against an opponent nowhere near his level.
I stood up and ran to them, shoving Natsu off. He stumbled back and looked at me confused.
"Are you okay, Nash?" I asked. He stood up and laughed. "Of course, mommy, why wouldn't I be?"
I glared at Natsu. "Why didn't you hold back?!! You could have hurt him!" I said, trying to keep my voice steady.
Natsu held his hand up in surrender, "He asked me to. And if you think that was me not holding back, you'd be surprised once you find out I did."
I glared at him.
"Not a valid reason," I said and slapped him on the cheek. I do that all the time. And Natsu didn't seem to mind at all. Mostly because it doesn't hurt. I like slapping him to be honest... makes me feel good.
"What the heck, Luce?! Why did you slap me?" he said, pretending feeling hurt. Nash was laughing at his father, while he was playfully glaring at me.
"Because you tried to hurt my baby boy," I said and folded my arms. Though I wasn't mad. Natsu and I got into a lot more of these playful fights. Married and acting like best friends, those relationships are the best.
"First of all, our bab— our son." I laughed out loud when he actually wanted to say baby boy. That would be so embarrasing for him.
Unfortunately he corrected himself. His cheeks did flush for a second though. "Second, I could never hurt him purposely, well I could, but I never would."
I felt a tug at my sleeve and looked at Nash. "Don't worry, mom. Dad is so weak!"
I laughed. Nash always managed to make me laugh.
"Oh, you're in for it now!" Natsu said mishievously and tackled him. He continued to tickle him, no mercy at all.
"Mo...mommy! H-help!!" Nash screamed, almost crying from laughing. I chuckled. "Sorry, can't do. You're on your own."
"M-meanie!"
A couple hours later Natsu and I were sitting on the bench in Nash's club. There were a lot of people who came to watch. I saw that it was Nash's turn. He bowed to the opponent and they began to fight.
I sometimes shriek or close my eyes. I know I should watch, but I just can't. Later when I opened them I saw that he won. I sighed relieved.
I took a side glance to Natsu. He had a notebook with him and sometimes wrote things up. Though he was looking at Nash every second, so I guess he writes what he can do better.
He still dressed in a expensive suit today. Clearly trying to show people that he was actually busy but his son is more important or whatever. He had his legs crossed and he leaned back in the chair. People and their need to keep their reputation.
He doesn't look scared at all, rather proud. He had on a poker face, but I sometimes saw the end of his lips tug upwards.
It was almost the end, and Nash had another match. They fought and I shrieked again.
Nash was pinned on the ground and the opponent punched him repeately. The opponent is clearly older. The urge to look away or stop them was huge.
Natsu glanced at me, a look of worry passing his face. "You have to look at him. Don't look away," he said lowly.
Didn't he cross the line already? When are the people going to stop them? I was nearby and saw Nash spitting out some blood.
"S-STOPP!!" I screamed, but nobody heard me. Everyone was having fun and cheering. I looked at Natsu, his expression didn't change at all...
Finally a referee stepped in and broke them. Some of Nash's friends went to him and helped him stand up. He was disoriented. I clutched my chest. Why did I even let this happen?
I saw the trainer or whatever walking to the boy who beat the crap out of my son. And he didn't look happy. "Are you freaking nuts? Do you have any idea who you have crossed path with?!!" he screamed and everybody could hear him.
The boy shook his head and still smiled proudly. The trainer suddenly pointed to someone next to me. And that someone was Natsu.
"I get it that you freaking love to show your strength, but why choose his son? Have you any idea what he could do?"
The boy shook his head again.
"He could make us broke and much worse in a second," he snapped.
Suddenly Natsu stood up, I know that he wanted to go there, so I tried to stop him. Of course I couldn't.
He walked to the boy and the trainer with a proud smirk on his face. I stared at him awkwardly. He is going to make a scene. That's so embarrassing.
I don't know him...
Natsu held out his hand for the trainer, who accepted it, though he couldn't understand why. I can't either.
"Congrats. You have a really good student," Natsu said, I picked up a trace of sarcasm though. Everyone seemed more confused.
Next thing I see is that Natsu grabbed him by the collar.
"If I ever see your student cheat again I'll make him pay. I'll let him off the hook with almost making my son lose consciousness, but that doesn't mean I forgive him," Natsu threatened.
What? Did he cheat? When? And how could Natsu see that?
The trainer nodded and Natsu let him go. He walked to Nash, who was drinking and looking rather sad. Natsu held his hand out. "Let's go."
Nash accepted and Natsu picked him up gently. The amount of softness held in him carrying our son is still mesmerizing. He walked to me and smiled. I stood up and followed him. The whole club was looking at us walking away.
When we were home Natsu immediately placed him on bed. It was around 4:00 pm. I wiped his blood on his mouth away. I cleaned his head with a wet piece of cloth. Nash suddenly began to cry out of nowhere.
I kneeled beside the bed. "What's up?" I said softly.
He rubbed his eyes. "I lost. I disappointed you."
I stroked his forehead. "You fought well, Nash," I said, a small grin on my face.
"No, he didn't," Natsu's voice broke my thought. How could he be so blunt? Nash's sobs worsened, feeling more embarrassed. What father does that?
Oh, I know. My freaking husband.
Natsu kneeled next to me. I glared at him for saying that.
Natsu picked Nash's hand with his two hands and held it secure.
"You did fantastic. I'm rather proud than disappointed. Now go sleeping. You deserved it."
