Chapter Three: In the Dog House
~Recap~
His scan of the room came to a halt when he saw the blood on the bathtub where her head had struck the chipped rim. 'That's just great! She probably has a fractured scull, likely bleeding in her brain, and definitely a concussion. She needs a hospital! But how? If I call the police they would have questions but if I don't she might die! What do I do?!' He was panicked internally. So much so that he didn't even notice when something quite magical began to happen. . .
|third person POV, with Harry|
Harry suddenly felt an electrifying surge of magic shoot through his body, then travel down his arms, eventually transforming into pitch black, tingling sparks that danced around his fingertips. Since he was still touching his aunt they skittered across her skin, searching for her wounds and sunk into the jagged, bloody cut, making it nothing more thank a light scar. Along with that her bruises faded and her ragged breath evened out. Harry quickly checked her pulse and gave a sigh of relief when that was back to normal too. gently, he lifted her shoulders and and tried to carry her but his wounds made it so he could barely do that much, so instead, he held her under her arm so he could drag her to her bed.
He managed to get her up onto the bed and once she seemed comfortable he pulled the blankets up to cover her. Then he went back to Dudley's room to help fix up his wounds, not bothering to consider that he, himself, needed medical attention as well.
When he entered Dud's room and walked over to where his cousin was curled up he noticed something he hadn't in his hasty glance about twenty minutes before. Dud had a small cut on his cheek, fading scares scattered across his skin; and little magenta sparks of magic erasing them!
Harry stared at him in shock. Did Dudley know that he had magic? Or was it buried so deep inside him it only came out when he was in need? Harry needed to talk to Dudley about this when he woke but for now his cousin needed rest and he needed to start his chores for the day.
Harry quickly made his way down stairs and began making a breakfast fit for a king, composed of eggs, bacon, ham, sausages, toast, pancakes, muffins, various fruits and vegetables, fresh orange juice, and coffee. It took an hour to put together but when Vernon finally got up from the couch in a drunken stupor, the table was set and loaded with the dishes Harry had just finished preparing.
Harry quickly scrambled up to wake Dudley and Petunia for breakfast before Vernon got mad or even noticed that they were missing from the kitchen.
Harry first went to Dudley and hastily, yet gently shook him awake. He frowned and sat up but didn't really process what was going on.
"Hey bud! Good morning, breakfast is ready at the table and Vernon is waiting so you better get dressed!" Harry said in a soft, kind voice.
"Mkay-" Dudley yawned.
"Okay. I'll be down in a second, I just have to wake Petunia!" Harry rushed to Petunia's room and checked her pulse. When it came up normal he shook her awake with a little less gentleness then he had with Dudley in his frantic-ness.
"Petunia! Petunia!" Harry whisper shouted.
She sat up groggily, rubbing the sore spot on her head.
"What-?"
Harry cut her off, "We need to talk," He said with a steely glare, "Now."
