Lilly's POV

After we went back inside our friends started to get picked up. Jason left first, then Ruby and Ella. Violet's mom just came and we're saying goodbye. I looked in the window of the car and saw Zoe sitting in the back.

"Is that Zoe?" I asked. "Yeah. She's my step sister, I just moved in with her, she's horrible!" She admitted. "Anyway, see you at school tomorrow." She waved and for into the car.

~the next morning at school~

In form they told us that all of gifted and talented (G+T) were having a talent contest in the auditorium.

Me and Lola were planning on singing a duet but when we got there the teacher told us we all had to do something separately. I was going to sing a song by a really awesome band called We The Kings called Over You. Lola was also singing a song by the same band called Any Other Way.

I watched everyone else get up on the stage and perform one by one. It was going in register order so my name was about halfway through. The teacher called my name and I walked on stage. I told them the song I was gonna sing and soon enough the music started playing. I closed my eyes and got ready to sing.

I stopped singing and opened my eyes. Everyone stood up and appluded me. I blushed and they called Lola's name. She got up and did the same as me.

When she was done she got the same reaction as me.

After school Rocky picked us up with Esme. She said when we got home she wanted to have a family meeting without Riker.

Everyone gathered in the living room for Esme’s announcement.

"Well I have a sister called Hailey. She's 22 and I think she would be perfect for Riker. I think we should try to get them to spend some time together, like alone, someplace romantic." She told us. "I know! I've got the perfect plan..."

Riker’s POV

Rocky just told me we're going to the beach in half an hour and Esme’s sister Hailey is coming with us. I got ready and met everyone in the van.

The only seat left was next to a girl I had never seen before. She had bright blue eyes, dark hair flowing around her shoulders, and she was beautiful.

We drove for a bit until we reached the turning to get to the beach. Rocky drove right past it and I got confused.

"Why did you just drive past the turning?" I asked. "We're going to a different beach." Rocky replied.

We were driving for at least 2 more hours. When we finally stopped the car I got out and Hailey followed.

The sun was starting to set and the sky was a beautiful pinky orange colour. The sand was almost white and felt soft on bare feet. Me and Hailey were walking in front of everyone else, watching the waves crashing on the sand. It started to go quiet so I turned around and everyone was gone.

I turned back around and Hailey was staring right at me. I stared into her perfect blue eyes and listened to the sound of the waves.

Before I knew what I was doing I leaned in and my lips touched hers...
