-HER-

I caught up with Lua who was revising all the plans and checking and re-checking all our weapons and supplies that we would have to carry further north. I joined her in the process and until sunrise, we revised everything again and again and prepared ourselves for the war.

Even though we had prepared for even the worst situation, all of us were feeling anxious, including me because most of the times wars never went as planned. Something unexpected always came up, some people died, and sometimes we are caught off guard no matter how well we prepared but this is the Drakkons we were fighting against so I was not feeling THAT anxious.

I was aware of their outdated fighting gears and system. Their only strength was their huge number and we had to fight that.

As the sun started to rise, I started feeling more and more anxious. The wolves had to leave early because we would need to track further north and that would take time. The Lycans were still dressing and packing their weapons by the time we were ready to leave.

As I commanded my army to march out of the camp, I felt Ezekiel's eyes burning on me. Casually, I swept my eyes through the camp to spot him but he couldn't be seen. Though I could still feel his eyes burning on me as we marched out of there.

The harsh morning weather seemed determined to break our wills but we weren't going to give up so soon. I had a spy and another wolf trekking far ahead of us to alert us about any dangers that might be waiting for us ahead.

It took us quite a while to finally reach the north post. So far our journey here was somewhat smooth despite the harsh weather. By the time we reached there, the spy was waiting for me and it looked like he had news for me.

"They're moving back," He informed me. "In an hour they should be there," He said, pointing to the extremest checkpoint that we could see from where we were standing.

"How many troops are they bringing?" I asked him next. In response, he shuffled on his feet anxiously before he answered, "Around a hundred thousand,"

The wolves behind me who were paying attention to the spy gasped. I felt my heart race faster as soon as the number settled in my head.

Eight hundred wolves versus a hundred thousand Drakkons.

My confidence faltered a bit but I didn't show it on the surface because the last thing that I wanted was to appear anxious in front of my wolves. It would be detrimental to their confidence if they see their General anxious at this moment.

"That's a lot of Drakkons," Lua commented beside me with an anxious laugh.

"Who's leading the army?" I asked the spy grimly, sounding as confident as ever because I could feel all the eight hundred eyes burning on me.

"The King is leading the army with his third General and second in command," The spy told me.

So the Drakkon king finally came back with his general who ran away because he was scared of me and Rednor who always used to be suspicious of me.

Suddenly, an idea crossed my mind. It was dangerous but the idea still had the side of my lips curl into a sly smile.

"We will win this war," I told my wolves, "without even fighting in the war,"

They were beyond surprised and bewildered when I said that. Everyone was staring at me, waiting for me to explain to them what exactly I meant by that but I wasn't going to waste my time doing that. Instead, I commanded the wolves to hide throughout the valley and have their bows and arrows ready.

"And what are you going to do?" Lua asked me before leaving.

"Welcome the Drakkons," I told her with a blinding smile. I could see fear in her eyes as she looked at me smiling in such a tense situation. I could tell that she wasn't necessarily scared of the Drakkons but of what I had planed.

"A-are you going to use your powers?" She asked me hesitantly.

"Maybe," I winked at her. She looked a bit more concerned, not for the wolves but for the Drakkons. She left without asking any other questions. After making sure that everyone was gone, I started to strip out of my fighting gear. Fortunately, I still had one of those dresses that the Drakkon king had given me.

I wore that dress. It was the most revealing dress I had ever worn but that was what I needed at that moment. By the time I was done changing my dress, the spy was back from the destroyed Drakkon's camp with a harp.

He looked very confused as he handed me the harp. I noticed that the harp was stained with blood. It made me smile wider.

"Perfect," I commented.

"I-I don't understand. How would this help you in fighting with the Drakkon army?" The spy asked me.

"Do I look like I'm going to fight the Drakkon army?" I asked the spy with a seductive smile. I could see that he shivered, not due to the cold but due to fear.

"Then what are you going to do, General?"

"I told you. I am going to welcome the Drakkon army. After all, the Drakkon king did tell me that he'd be back. They're our guests. Now, go about doing your business. They must be on their way. I want to look perfect when I welcome him," I told him. The spy looked more scared than ever.

He gulped hard before he finally went away.

I found a huge boulder by the river. It was a good place for me to be seen so I sat on it with the harp. In the distance, I could already hear the sound of thousands of Drakkons marching towards me.

I closed my eyes and started singing a song I had learned when I was in the Drakkon camp. Ironically, Kine had taught me the song. It was about a Queen longing to see her King who had gone to war.

It couldn't have been more perfect for this situation.

So I strummed my harp and sang the song with my eyes closed. I heard the river sing with me while the wind carried my voice to the Drakkon army that was slowly marching towards me.

By the time I was done singing, I could already feel a particular Drakkon's eyes burning on me. I opened my eyes and smiled at the Drakkon King who was standing in the front of his army.

"You're back," I chirped.
