A large duffle bag was over the Jackal shoulder a sigh escaping lips. Here he was alone in the elevator of a large luxury apartment complex heading to the very top floor to his destination.

"Home, here I am, coming back home after being away for nearly almost 'Three' Years" he thought to himself looking up at the elevator nearing the top floor.

His right blue and yellow eyes kept their glare on the light nearing the top as his fluffy bushy tail sway abit while tapping his right hi-top boot and he grits his teeth.

"Had to 'Steal' a duffel bag from the mall to store my mask away and along with a few clothes to keep a low profile...and with the 'Phantom Ruby' attach to my chest I gotta make sure no one finds me"

A bing was heard, the elevator doors open and he steps out into the hallway turning right beginning his way to his apartment room while hearing the humming sound from his 'Phantom Ruby', it was pretty quiet while walking from one end of the apartment complex to the other. No one was else in the hallway and that was fine with him he like the quietness.

"Not very many Mobians live in the Executive suite part of this apartment complex" he thought to himself while smiling to himself "Rents a little expensive but it's Okay and it's worth it, peace and quiet, no loud neighbors with kids, it has a exercise room, regular laundry room and even a Rec room too"

It certainly was a perfect place to live in away from the loud noises outside in the city away from the public eyes. He walks down all the way to the end of the hallway passing by a door as he heard a voice inside but that didn't bother him as he reached a door that was at the end and across from the one he passed.

"Home sweet home" He smiles to himself and reaches into the duffle bag taking out a ring of keys that only had two keys on it and a card too.

He puts the key into the slot and unlocks the door before walking inside his apartment room closing the door behind him just as the door he had passed by open up and out step a red Mobian wolf with glasses talking on a phone and looking down the hallway where he heard the door close.

"Hey Gadget...Gadget you there?" Another voice on the other end of the phone called out.

The red wolf stared at where he heard the door close before looking back at his iPhone speaking into it.

"Yeah I'm here Tails, just checking something real quick" he lied to the two-tail Mobian fox that was on the other line of the phone.

"I see, anyway did you hear the news that Infinite was found 'Not Guilty'"

"Yeah, I saw it on the news followed by some commotion after that"

"I was there, After the verdict was read Shadow just got up and left the courtroom..he really wasn't happy with the verdict, none of us are"

"I know, I'm not happy with it either, after all that we have done to bring that monster to Justice, the jury lets him off Scott free just like G.U.N did when they gave Dr. Eggman immunity to testify against Infinite"

The red wolf takes out a key from the pocket of his white-hooded sweater and dark blue jeans he was wearing and locks the door before putting it in the back pocket of his jeans where his billfold was and starts proceeding to the elevator.

"I know I know, it's too bad they can't try him again even with all the decisive evidence they got against that Jackal"

"That's how the court system works Tails, you can't try the same person in court with the same evidence unless new evidence is brought forward"

Gadget reaches the elevator and pushes the button seeing it open up proceeding inside and pushes the button that goes to the bottom floor.

"I don't think there is anymore evidence that can tie Infinite to the crimes he committed, G.U.N spent two whole years investigating that monster and despite all the investigating, testimony's, evidence and lots of logical theory's he still got away with his 'Crimes'"

"I hear ya my friend" Gadget replied with a frown knowing who knows what was going to happen now if Infinite attack the world again or joined up with Dr. Eggman once more to start another war.

"Well I gotta go now Gadget, the city official are letting people out of the courthouse now"

"Alright, take care Tails" Gadget replied hanging up his phone and putting it into his left pocket as he sighs to himself closing his eyes.

"He should've been found 'Guilty'

"If you are hearing this, just three hours ago, the Jackal know only as Infinite has been found 'Not Guilty', despite all the evidence, testimony and motive link to the 'Jackal' the jury found him not guilty of all charges,"

He smiles to himself listening to the TV while in the kitchen of his apartment except it was dark with only a small light shine above a stove. He liked the dark, it was all calm, peaceful and safe. His fur even blended in with the dark too.

"And we all know what happen next," he thought to himself finishing the food he was making hearing the soft hum coming from his Phantom Ruby "I may have lost the war, held in prison island for two whole years but in the end, I still won and got the Phantom Ruby as my prize"

Despite everything Infinite been through, he got something out of it. The Phantom Ruby, a powerful jewel with infinite powers that have yet to be tried out.

"I could do whatever I want now with the power I have," he smiles to himself while taking a paper
plate that had two ham sandwiches Along with melted cheese on it as it came out of the microwave "but the question is what should I do"

He begins to ponder on that thought while taking a seat on the couch in the dark and sets his paper plate on a table stand next to the couch where he was sitting.

"I have all the time in the world now...So what should I do with my phantom Ruby"

Infinite try's to come up with something but his stomach growls in response. He sighs and grabs one of the sandwiches taking a bite out of it.

"Guess I can think on that later, right now I just wanna relax, watch some tv and eat"

Taking another bite out of the sandwich Infinite grabs the remote and turns up the tv abit to hear what else was on the news.

"And in other News today, two cargo ships have mysteriously disappeared last night while leaving Central City sea port, the ships were carrying Food, medical supplies and clothing for refugees along the Shamar boarder"

Infinite takes another bite out of his sandwich watching the news, Chewing the food and swallowing it.

"Experts believe this could be the work of pirates as this is the thirtieth time cargo ships have disappeared on the trade route, authorities are looking in the matter"

The Jackal keeps eating his sandwich as another news report appeared.

"Also in other news, Worlds hero Sonic the Hedgehog was seen leaving the courthouse today with some of his friends, apparently they were attending Infinite trial, when asked about the Verdict the blue hedgehog just simply ran off not answering our questions.."

Infinite finish his sandwich and reaches for the other one as he turns the channel.

"Wonder what else is on TV" Infinite said to himself while flipping through the channels and eating his sandwich trying to find something good on TV.
