Chapter seventeen

"I love you Evelyn." Clayton whispered in my ear laying in bed next to me when we were getting ready to go to sleep.

I smiled and said "I know."

"I'm serious, I like really really really love you a lot." Clayton smiling at me.

"Clayton, I know. You've told me many times."

"I'm sorry, I just really love you."

Instead of responding back I gently attached my lips to his.

Clayton smiled when I kissed him and he kissed me back putting his hands on my cheeks pulling me closer to him. I smiled into the kiss and brought my hands up to his hair and gently ran my fingers through his hair making Clayton moan.

While kissing me Clayton moved both of us around so he was hovering over me putting his wieght on his knees and elbows.

Clayton moved his lips away from mine and began kissing my chin moving down my neck where he began to suvk gently on my neck making me moan his name.

Clayton moved his lips away from my neck and reattached them to my lips shoving his tongue in my mouth. He moved his lips again mine roughly he put his hands on my sides and gently squeezed them before putting his hands on the hem of my shirt gently playing with it Clayton hesitantly removed his lips from mine and began slowly taking off my shirt looking at me for permission to take my shirt off making me nod at him. Clayton smirked at me and quickly pulled my shirt off of me. Clayton smiled and put my hands on the hem of his shirt and motioned for me to take it off of him I smiled and sat up taking off his white T-shirt once he had his shirt off I stared at his washboard abs and smiled at him. Clayton smiled back and looked down at my chest with wide eyes before pushing my body back down on the bed a little roughly then he aggressively shoved his lips on mine. He removed his lips on mine and kissing my neck again he put his lips right on my shoulder where he would mark me. He kissed my shoulder and gently licked it I felt his teeth graze that area before I tired pushing him away but he wouldn't bulge.

"Clayton." I harshly spoke trying to push him away.

"It's okay baby." He mumbled against my skin "It'll only hurt for a second then I'll make the pain go away."

"No Clayton." I pushed him again "Clayton stop!"

Clayton grazed over the area again and put his hand on my upper thigh "Shhhh baby everything is going to be alright."

"Clayton I'm serious get off of me now!" I yelled pushing him again.

Clayton removed his lips and got off of me. He stood up and grabbed his shirt putting it back on then he turned to me and raised an eyebrow then growled "Well go on, what are you waiting for. Go ahead and tell me that us making out was a mistake, and it can never happen again, then tell me how much I disgust you."

I shook my head "No Clayton I want going to say any of that I don't think that was a mistake and I sure want it to happen again. And yes I am disgusted by you but that doesn't matter."

Clayton smirked "Then why'd you stop it?"

"Because Clayton I want you to mark me, but I'm not sure if I'm ready. I mean it hurts a lot to get marked well I've never been marked but I've heard it hurts like a bitch. And plus after you mark me you'll for sure be the only person I'll be with for the rest of my life and then after you mark me I'll really really want to finish the mating process."

Clayton smiled at me sat on the bed next to me "So you want me to mark you?" He excitedly asked me I shyly looked away from him and nodded my head. "So this means you're accepting me as your mate?" I nodded my head again "Evelyn, baby please say it out loud."

"Clayton Shepherd, even though you're a complete douche bag and a sick and twisted fucker, I want you. I want to be with you forever. So I accept you as my mate."

Clayton smiled and stood up and picked me up wrapped my legs around him then he started spinning me around. "Thank you so much!" He said while he stopped spinning "Don't worry you won't regret it!"

I smiled and kissed him again "Clayton I think I might lo-" I began before I was cut off by someone busting through the door.

I jumped off of Clayton and looked at the door where his beta James stood "I'm sorry to interrupt you Alpha we have to go, tonight. We have to attack the Green Flame pack tonight. Tonight is the only night there border patrol will be as weak as it is now for a few months. If we don't attack tonight we'll lose our chance. And they'll attack us killing the women and children."

Clayton looked at me then nodded "We'll attack tonight then get the pack warriors ready I'll be there in a second to help gather the warriors."

James nodded "Yes Alpha." He said while leaving.

Clayton began changing his clothes as is stood there staring at him with wide eyes. I knew how these things went and I knew how likely the chances were of Clayton getting hurt.

After Clayton finished changing he walked over to me and kissed me roughly and said "I'll be home soon."

I nodded my head and said "Please be careful, don't get yourself killed."

Clayton smiled and said "Bye." Before walking out of the room and then the house.

I sighed and sat back down on the bed.

Nine hours. It's been nine hours since Clayton left. And he hasn't been home since.

I sat on the old leather couch in the living room staring at the front door. I had sat here satring at the door for hours. I couldn't stop worrying about him not being safe.

Suddenly the door swung open and James came in while carrying something as he continued to walk in I relized that he was carrying a body I looked closer and saw that he was carrying Clayton's body. I jumped up and ran over there.

I looked at Clayton's body his face was slightly brusied and he was bleeding from his stomach where he had a huge cut.

James looked at me and said "Don't worry he'll be fine, he's had worse injuries before I think hell be perfectly healed in three or four days. I'm just gonna take him upstairs and lay him down on the bed."

I nodded and followed James upstairs. I stood in the doorway and watched James lay Clayton down the bed. He looked at me and said "Take good care of him." Then James walked out of the room.

I slowly walked over to Clayton and stared down at his bloody and battered body.

I slowly pulled his shirt off so I could get a better look at his injury I winced when I saw the huge gash on the side of this stomach that was bleeding profusely. I got up and walked into the bathroom and grabbed gaze padding, medical tape, and hydrogen peroxide. I walked back into the room and kneeled in front of the bed when I heard Clayton mumble.

"I always knew one day I'd get you down on knees for me."

I rolled my eyes and said "This is going to sting a little bit." Then I poured hydrogen peroxide on his bloody gash.

Clayton didn't whince at all he just cheerfully spoke "You think this is bad, you should see the other guys. There all dead. The whole pack. We killed them all."

I just sighed and said "I'm sure that was uncalled for."

Clayton rolled his eyes and said "If we don't kill like we do we'll appear weak to other packs."

I rolled my eyes and started putting gaze pads on his side.

"Why are you doing this?" He asked motioning to his injury.

"Because, I actually care about you." I mumbled.

Clayton started laughing "Don't give me that shit. You don't give a fuck about me. Hell you probably wish I had died don't you?"

"No I don't, I'm glad you're alright."

"If I were dead you'd be glad, you'd leave and then you'd go to fucking Luke then you'd marry him or something. I bet you'd let fucking Luke mark you and you wouldn't stop him or anything. You'd be begging him to mark you. Wouldn't you?"

"No I wouldn't." I whispered while putting medical tape over the gaze padding.

"Then you'd let him fuck you and you'd be glad to let him do that."

I felt my eyes watering up so I stood up and grabbed a blanket "You know what Clayton fuck you." I spoke while walking out of the room.

"Where you going?!" He yelled.

"I'm sleeping on the couch tonight!" I yelled back.

"Evelyn don't be like that! Come back to bed and sleep by me!"

"Fuck off Clayton!" I screamed while slamming the bedroom door closed and walking to the living room and going to try to sleep on the couch.
