"Are you having fun?"

"Yes, it's really nice here. I love his house."

"Not too much fun, I hope. Not with the kid in the house. Or the parents."

YeongMi snorted at her brother, "she's sixteen, but yes. Definitely not too much fun."

"Good, good."

"..."

"Do you... do you wish they were your parents?"

"No, that'd be weird. Then Namjoon would be my brother, ew."

"I didn't mean it like that," Seungkwan sighed, "I just... I regret leaving you alone with our parents. Sometimes, I wish that I had stayed, or that you came with me."

YeongMi didn't know why Seungkwan was all of a sudden dropping this on her. She guessed it was a long time coming, probably ever since he started training. All those years, and she still wasn't prepared. "Kwan, you know I never hated you for that. I never blamed you for any of it, so you have to stop doing this to yourself."

"I know, but that doesn't mean I'm happy with how it all went down. If I had known that everything would crash so badly on you, if I had known it would end up like this, I swear, I never would have left you all alone in that. I would've done it differently. You believe me, right?"

YeongMi felt her nose burning, and she wiped a few stray tears from her eyes, taking a deep breath to calm down. "Listen to me, I'm serious. It wasn't your fault, there was no way you could have known, we knew it was gonna be bad, but there was no way to ever assume that it would go as bad as it did. I promise you, I believe you, I know you wouldn't do that to me. I know how you feel about this, and I need you to know, it's okay. You don't need to apologize, because there's nothing to forgive, you didn't do anything wrong."

"I left my baby sister with our insane parents. It was selfish, I'm sorry, truly I am. And I'm sorry that I got so caught up in my new life that I lost track of what was important. I'm sorry that you had to go through all of that alone, and I'm sorry about never talking to you."

"That goes both ways, I didn't talk to you either. I understand how important your music is, and I never blamed you for that. Your music is important to you, so it's important to me, too. You're a good brother, you idiot."

"Yeah well, you're a pretty cool sister, even if you are a loser."

YeongMi smiled, though her throat was still tight with emotions. "I love you, idiot. Now stop blubbering like a baby and get back to work. I know you're working on something. I'm fine, I promise. No, not fine, I'm excellent. I'm great, I'm happy, I'm sexy."

"Well, I wouldn't go that far."

YeongMi glanced around the hallway to make sure she was alone. "You fucking-"

"Love you too, bye!"

Call Ended

YeongMi stared at her phone for a moment, before letting out a soft chuckle and turning around.

"Are you done? This hair isn't braiding itself you know!"

YeongMi grinned, leaving the hallway to take her place on the couch.
