"YeongMi, wake up."
YeongMi groaned and pushed the finger away from her cheek, mumbling, "5 more hours, go away."
"Wake up babe."
"No, I'm sleeping."
"It's your first day of school, come on, Seungkwan will kill me if I let you skip."
Despite her best efforts, she couldn't ignore Namjoon. Once she was awake, it took a lot of effort to fall back asleep, and with Namjoon pestering her, it was only harder.
Kwanghee watched the two in amusement, finding her heart swelling seeing the cute sight. They weren't necessarily super sweet, but seeing as they always seemed tough in school, the sight was more meaningful.
She didn't know whether she should film it, or leave the room. Filming it would be creepy though, of course.
Namjoon continued poking YeongMi, murmuring softly to her. YeongMi sat up with a frown, attempting to stretch the tiredness away. She failed.
"This is your fault, I wouldn't be so tired if you hadn't woken me up."
"You'd also have a terrible headache right now, too. So take your pick."
"I choose sleep. Always."
"That hurts, are you having an affair?"
"You're so cruel, I need my sleep. Sleep is not just a side bitch, sleep is my love, sleep is my mistress, sleep is my queen-"
"Yeah yeah, I'm so cruel, I get it. I'm going to wash up, and when I get back you better be ready, because I'm dragging you out of this room."
"What if I'm naked? Will you drag me out then?"
"Yes," Namjoon noticed what she said, and YeongMi grinned as she watched him cough, an attempt to hide his embarrassment.
"You want everyone to see your naked girlfriend?"
Namjoon blushed, licking his lips awkwardly. "No, but you better not be." His tone had lost its authority, and YeongMi laughed as he quickly retreated.
When he was gone, Kwanghee turned to YeongMi with curiosity. From what she had heard, YeongMi was seen as this enigma of trouble and mischief, untouchable, unrelatable, and distant. But witnessing her interacting with Namjoon had made Kwanghee find her to be rather cute.
While YeongMi was comfortably changing into her uniform, Kwanghee was finding her voice.
"So, you guys really are together."
YeongMi's chest tightened, "why, do you think he wants someone else?!"
She felt bad for getting defensive, seeing Kwanghee's surprised expression. She just assumed everyone thought the same as Bora; that Namjoon treated YeongMi like a flower, when she was nothing more than the dirt under the petals.
"Not at all, you're cute together, it's just, I thought you'd be more.... sociopathic."
YeongMi laughed, and Kwanghee was surprised to hear the warm sound, seeing the way YeongMi's face relaxed into the laugh. "Well sorry to disappoint you, but I do have the ability to experience emotions. Sometimes. I can be rude, but I'm working on that."
Kwanghee nodded, and she suddenly felt bad letting her friends console her for getting a bad roommate. She hadn't asked them to, but she had allowed them to think of YeongMi as a nightmare. Truthfully, Kwanghee thought it wouldn't be so bad, seeing YeongMi being so, well, nice. She figured that YeongMi just had a lot of layers.
Kwanghee smiled, finally at ease with her room situation. Last night, she admittedly had been scared falling asleep, wondering if YeongMi would do something to her. Now, she was embarrassed that the thought had crossed her mind.
She wanted to speak, but wasn't sure what to say, and soon YeongMi was disappearing with Namjoon. Kwanghee shrugged it off, but made a mental note to try and learn more about her roommate later.
She met up with her friends in student wing A, and was immediately interrogated.
"How was it? She didn't shave your head?!"
"You're alive!"
She chuckled at her friends, Kyo and Mae, clinging onto her, and pushed them away.
"Guys, she's actually not bad at all. She wasn't exactly chatty, but she wasn't mean or anything. And, don't tell anyone, she wouldn't want it, but she's actually really cute with Namjoon. Like, I think they may be the school's best couple."
"That's bullshit, have you forgotten that Mark and Jackson are a thing?"
Kwanghee's eyes lit up at the mention of their favourite couple, and nodded, "okay, fine. But seriously, she's not bad at all. So can we keep doing our sleepovers?"
"Fine, if you promise she's not bad."
"No, she's not bad at all."
