YeongMi was not the first to arrive to her room. When she walked in, she noticed that the area was already partially decorated, and boxes were spread out on the floor, abandoned half way through unpacking.

She walked to the bed closer to the window, setting her bags down, and eyed the other side of the room, trying to guess what her roommate was like.

A few trophies were proudly showed off on her roommate's desk. From the looks of it, they were old, and YeongMi wondered if her roommate was the type of person who had peaked young, and never gotten past it.

Some pictures surrounded them, and a wire stand sat in the center, overflowing with chunky jewelry.

Inspirational posters were taped across her half of the wall, and YeongMi wondered how sickeningly positive this girl could be.

A girl rose up from the mess, rushing over to greet YeongMi. She was a bit on the plump size, and came up to YeongMi's shoulders. Her face was soft, and her eyes were warm and kind. She had a very inviting aura, and YeongMi admitted that she had gotten off lightly in the scenario.

Her eyes widened when she noticed just who was standing in front of her, "you're that girl that's always getting in trouble." Her voice was soft, and although her choice of words wasn't the best, she didn't sound like she was trying to insult YeongMi.

YeongMi stared blankly, "and you're.... you."

The girl bowed lightly, a wide smile adorning her cute face, "I'm Chae Kwanghee, it looks like we're roommates."

"Unless you're in the wrong room, I guess so." YeongMi turned away, uninterested, and began putting away her things.

"I hope we can be great friends!" YeongMi only shrugged in response. She had agreed to try and be nicer this year, but surely she wasn't expected to progress so quickly.

She quickly got busy, packing her plushies on the shelf above her bed. This year, she also had pictures to add a more personal touch to her side of the room. Pictures that Namjoon had taken of them, pictures of her time spent with her friends, and a picture of Hyjoon just as she was jumping on YeongMi's back, all displayed on her desk.

Her favourite, a picture she had taken when Seungkwan and Jeonghan had taken her to the beach over the summer, she carefully set on the edge, where she could see it from the bed, so that, if she woke up in the right position, it would be the first thing that she would see.

Once she had put her clothes away, she collapsed on the bed, taking a moment to notice everything around her.

It was bare compared to her last room, with only 2 beds, 2 desks, 2 chairs, and a small shelf in the middle where they could keep their snacks. The window faced the soccer field, and was currently open, allowing a warm spring breeze to fill the room.

YeongMi sighed, realizing that she would have to use the students wing to get food, and use the bathroom, and shower, and watch the television.

The hard life of the average student, poor YeongMi.

"I'm an early riser, but I'll do my best to be quiet if you're still asleep. I like to do my work in the mornings, because my head feels really clear in the mornings. Oh, and I was thinking, maybe we could create a schedule for using the bathroom and showers, because I would prefer to keep the doors locked at night, and that way we could go together, so if either of us forgot something, we could borrow each others."

YeongMi lazily watched the girl, who was speaking fast enough to lose her breath after a few sentences. She smiled widely, despite YeongMi's lack of enthusiasm.

"Also, I have a few friends that I spend the night with once a week, and last year, we switched off dorms every week, so if that's okay, sometimes they will stay over here. I'm okay with you doing the same thing, as long as they're not too disruptive. I have trouble focusing, and I really need to do my work, otherwise what's the point of school, right?"

The girl smiled kindly, and YeongMi only faintly nodded. Already, she was wondering if she would be able to stand this girl. She was sweet, but she was talking a little too much for YeongMi's liking; perhaps that was because YeongMi was too tired to listen, though.

YeongMi pointedly crawled into bed, settling under the covers and closing her eyes.

"Oh, sorry, I'll be quiet."

She wasn't.

YeongMi couldn't fall asleep with Kwanghee unpacking so loudly that she questioned if she was doing it on purpose. Giving up on her nap, YeongMi decided to go through her phone for entertainment.

But everyone was too busy to respond to her messages, and she grew tired of watching videos. Nothing caught her attention on her social media, either.

Already bored, she pocketed her phone before walking out of the room. She roamed the hallways for a moment, until she found what she was looking for.

She knocked on the door lightly, relieved when the small girl answered.

"Hyjoon, how do we live like this, there's nothing to do in our rooms, why can't we all have our own stuff, why must we share," she brushed past the girl, uninvited, and walked into the room.

YeongMi was planning on ignoring the roommate, until she turned in surprise.

"Oh, Yeri!"

"Hello, this is a nice surprise."

Hyjoon laughed, "great, does Yeri here have some stories she can tell me? Anything involving you?"

Yeri seemed uncertain, until she noticed that YeongMi didn't care. Then, she smiled lightly, nodding.

Although they were an unusual duo, YeongMi had a feeling that they would get along just fine.
