"Monkey ... hit it again!" Ladybug was running out of ideas and from the beeping on her Miraculous she was also running out of time. Queen Bee was down and Rena Rouge was running out of energy too.

As King Monkey sent his next jubilation out again, this time changing each of the rays from Set's staff into a party streamer. Ladybug moved in quickly ready to attack. This time she got a hit in and took him down. Grabbing hold of his staff she managed to use her lucky charm and destroy the sceptre. Crossing her fingers she sent the charm into the air and hoped it would heal everything except the sceptre. As the Ladybugs swirled around in a flourish of red and white, Queen Bee stood again and what had been damaged had been returned to its normal form, including the sceptre.

"Damn it!" Ladybug screamed as she ran back in preparation for Set's next advancement.

"Argggghhhh", a loud scream was heard from down the hall way causing the Egyptian God to turn his attention. Once his back was turned Ladybug, King Monkey, Queen Bee and Rena, made their way out the building and into the covering where they began their battle.

The screaming continued as the heroes looked from one another, hoping and praying the guys were alright. Ladybug could feel her heart beating uncontrollably in her chest. This was their only hope to get Adrien and Emilie out. This was their only hope to win.

"They'll be alright, I know they will." Kim walked over to where the girls were huddled and an air of thick fear was surrounding the worried, beaten faces of those who were previously prom queens.

"I hope so. I've only just got Luka back. I can't lose him again." Ladybug walked over to Queen Bee and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"We can't lose hope Chloe. They're a good team, and once Adrien get's Plagg back ... well they need to watch out."

Queen Bee nodded at her friends words. If anything was certain it was that Chat Noir was amazing at his job. The years of hard work and practise made both Chat and Ladybug a power to be reckoned with, but that was when they were together. When their love was pulsating between them, they were boarder line unstoppable. But without the Miraculous Adrien was still just an ordinary mortal. The others weren't trained enough to take it on. They weren't strong enough.

As they stood again deciding on what their next line of defence would be, a swirling cyclone appeared in the centre of the group. The colour faded and the once green grass changed into a stone based room. The room was suddenly crowded with shadows and each hero prepared to defend.

"Have you missed me, Bugaboo?" Ladybug dropped her stance running full speed to the voice which had just greeted her.

Leaping into his arms, she wrapped her legs around his waist and arms around his neck as he span her around. Burrowing her head into his neck, she took in his strong masculine smell and Camembert. A smell she had come to love.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean anything I said. I love you so much." Tears streaked down her face as her squeezed her small body into his with all his own, enjoying the feel of every inch of her against him.

"Don't! You were right to be mad and I shouldn't have taken it to heart so much. I love you and I never meant to make you worry."

They looked at each other smiling before taking their soul mates breathe away with a power improving kiss. Ladybug locked her lips to Chat's with the promise of never letting go. They would have stayed like that for hours, days, weeks ... but they were interrupted by a cough.

Ladybug slowly lowered her feet back to the floor, pulling her lips away from Adrien.

"We've brought you a gift." Viperion threw a brunette towards Ladybug. The girl tripped and fell onto her knees at Ladybugs feet.

"Lila?" Ladybug questioned to the broken girl now lying at her feet. As she looked down she noticed a pin on Lila's top. A pin with shouldn't be there. Reaching out, she took it from Lila and tossed it over to Emilie.

"How dare you! All of you! Why do you think it's ok to take someone's dreams?"

"Says the girl who lies, exaggerates AND is trying to steal another girls guy." Rena squares up in front of Lila, looking down at her.

"Whatever! You won't win!" Lila went to attack when she was stopped by Ladybug's arm.

"We won't go down to her level. Pegasus, take Lila to the police station. Tell them it's a delivery from Ladybug and Chat Noir." Signalling he understood, Pegasus called his teleportation and stepped through, with a begrudging and, pretty much, naked Lila.

One down ... two to go!

"I know what I need to do." Chat broke the silence between the heroes causing all heads to turn towards him. "Have you got the rings, M'Lady?"

She smiled at him, they really were two pieces of a whole. Holding out her gloved hand she stretched it out to her boyfriend, placed upon it was the Graham de Vanily twin rings. Chat took one and placed it upon his left hand signalling for Marinette to do the same.

"Wait!" He shouted. She stopped just before she slid it on her finger.

Chat Noir walked forward and bent down onto one knee taking the ring from her hand and taking her own left hand into his.

"Oh my God!" Queen Bee ran towards Rena and grabbed hold of her arm. "He's doing it! He's finally bloody doing it!"

"Ladybug, M'lady, Marinette, Princess ... I was going to wait until this was over but why wait when I can do it now. I've loved you since the day you called me a 'Jackass' and insulted what I'm guessing is now your most favourite part of body."

"Adrien!" Marinette hissed, "your mothers standing right there."

"Don't worry about me sweetheart." Emilie responded, causing the heroes watching the scene unfold in front of them to break out into laughter.

Ladybug could feel her face heat up, as Chat smirked and continued on with his speech.

"I've loved you since the day you crashed full bodied into mine and suspended us twelve feet in the air, and I loved you even when you couldn't even remember knowing me."

Her hand squeezed tighter in his signifying how sorry she was ... about everything.

"And I know without a doubt I will continue loving you until the day I die, and before you say anything today is not that day. You are my light, my sun, my other half and my life is only worth living if you are here with me. So Marinette Dupain-Cheng, Guardian of the Miraculous, will you please do me the honour of becoming my wife and marrying me?"

Marinette could feel the tears running down her face. This wasn't expected but it was needed, oh how she loved that cat.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" He slipped the ring onto her finger and stood to take her in his arms. As they kissed a swarm of black circulated around them, hiding them from the cheer of their friends and family. They were together, and they were strong.

The black continued around, reaching from floor to a few feet above their heads swirling around as their kiss intensified. Each party could feel their senses rapidly changing and their whole body responding to the atmospheric fog. Neither were letting go anytime soon, or so they thought. A loud bang pulled their lips away from each other.

They left their foreheads together and closed their eyes. For some reason she knew she needed to say something, the feeling was there.

"Miraculous Ladybug!"

The black smoke dropped as a wall of red and pink ladybugs enclosed them from the floor. Suddenly Hugo was in the middle of the heroes.

"Mama, Papa, it's time for me to go. I love you both, don't ever forget that."

"You can't, you're our family, you're our baby!" Chat was mortified, he couldn't lose his son. He just couldn't.

"Don't worry about me. You both know what you need to do, as I know my place too. Love each other as you love me, I will be back but in a different form." He snuggled into his parents, joining his own forehead against the partners. He used his little stubs to wipe the tears away from his mother and fathers faces. It was time. Chat needed the additional power.

As the wall continued to hide them from the others Hugo sat on Chat's miraculous before disappearing inside it. As Hugo vanished so did their shield.

"Woah!" Carapace was first to talk looking at the newly armoured Bug and Cat. The once basic armour had upgraded. They looked ...

"You two look badass." The new outfits represented not only themselves but their other half, each containing something linked to their partner. Ladybug had hidden paw print polka dots where Chat had flickers of red surrounding the once plain edges of his suit.

The bang sounded again and the heroes looked to the distance. Grabbing hold of his ladies hand Chat gave the command.

"It's time."
