"Alya has the fox miraculous." Marinette repeated it for about the tenth time. She could see Nino was getting exasperated with her but she couldn't seem to stop. She was pacing backwards and forwards in front of where Nino was sitting. She was making him dizzy.

"How?" Finally a different word made it out of her mouth and she stopped finally looking her friend in the eye.

"Lila." Was Nino's reply. He was looking at the floor and she knew it was because he thought he'd let it happen.

"Nino don't do that."

"Do what?"

"Blame yourself. We'll get it back, ok? It's just not very convenient having to go head to head with a trained miraculous holder and our best friend." Marinette held onto one of Nino's hands to comfort him. She could see how distraught he was feeling and it broke her heart.

"Trained holder? You telling me that she's Rena Rouge." He questioned, squeezing onto Marinette's hand. She nodded at him and he let a deep breath out. How had he not figured it out.

"Don't worry about it. It's the Miraculous' power to veil our identities. If it wasn't for having to go back to the zoo I'd probably be dating Adrien whilst lusting over Chat." Nino let out a small laugh.

"You'd definitely give my man some complex issues that's for sure." They both let out a laugh before stopping abruptly. There was talking outside the door. Marinette signalled for Nino to move with her behind one of the desks.

Nino and Marinette ducked behind one of the tables just as the door opened. Both let out a lucky breath as a high pitched voice came floating around the room. Marinette knew exactly who it was and it was the one voice she was hoping to ignore.

"Oh Adrien, I thought we'd agreed not to do this anymore." A fake giggling noise made its way into the room before the door opened and footsteps entered. Marinette looked at Nino, who raised his shoulders.

The clicking of heels stopped in the middle of the room and the door was shut. Nino and Marinette stared at each other before reaching for their kwami's. Hugo was positioned next to Tikki in her bag.

"I think people know I'm not Adrien." The voice was male and mellow. It sounded so tired and defeated.

"Just shut up. You're ruining my plan. He saw us come in here so it won't be long until he joins us. Then you will help me claim him." Marinette bared her teeth at the females words. She looked to Nino and mouthed 'Lila'.

"I've had enough of your plan." The male voice was on the verge of breaking, Felix, Marinette thought to herself. "Please just let me see Kagami. I beg of you. I just need to speak to her."

A sharp, loud slap echoed around the room. She'd hit him and hit him hard.

"Don't you dare try and talk to that bitch. You know what will happen if you do." Lila's voice was cold and menacing. Marinette moved slowly to the edge and peered around. She saw Felix and placed a hand over her mouth to stop the loud gasp trying to escape.

He looked gaunt and sick. The grey shadowing around his eyes and cheekbones made Marinette feel cold. What had they been doing to him? Once upon a time it would have been easy to confuse him and Adrien for brothers, twins or even the same person. But now Felix looked defeated and nowhere near the power Adrien possessed with his toned, tanned body.

"Don't hurt her please. I'll do anything, just don't hurt Kagami or my baby." She slapped him again and this time she was sure Felix had hit the ground.

"Get up! You disgust me! There's only one child you should be thinking about and that's mine. I've told you before, this is the only one that matters."

"You raped me Lila! This child in you disgusts me. I don't want anything to do with it."

Marinette turned her head to see Lila's foot connect with Felix's face throwing him backwards and, ultimately, unconscious.

"You repulse me." Lila said before strutting out and shutting the door.

"Has she gone?" Nino whispered to Wayzz. The tiny turtle flew down towards Felix before checking through the window. She was gone.

Stepping out from their hiding spaces, Marinette and Nino walked over towards where Felix was lying. Tikki and Hugo had already made it there and were checking his vitals. Everyone knew Marinette wasn't one of Felix's greatest fans but nobody deserved this. This was abuse.

As Nino and Marinette were standing over a knocked out Felix the door to the room started to open again. A black blur whizzed into the room and everyone let out a collective sigh. Marinette made her way to the door and wrapped her arms around Adrien's neck.

"What's wrong?" He picked up on Marinette's thoughts straight away.

"It's Felix." She whispered.

As the words left her mouth a rush of air went past them. Kagami was with Adrien. The now heavily pregnant woman stood over the lifeless body of her fiancé.

"We need to get him to hospital." Nino stated, as he walked over and placed his hands on a sobbing Kagami.

"Nino, can you walk with Kagami and I'll carry Felix? Gorilla should be outside in the car." Adrien began to hand out orders and everyone began to move.

Just as Adrien had lifted Felix onto his shoulder the door to the room opened again. In a position where nobody could do anything they just stood and stared. The door inched open and a foot stepped around the door. As Marinette was the only one with spare hands she opened her bag and prepared to call on her transformation.

"What are you all doing in here?" The group took a collective sigh and began to move around again. Marinette walked towards the newcomer.

"Alya, I need you to do me a really big favour."

"Mari, what are you doing with him? He's a cheating liar! You know that." Alya's gaze was placed firmly onto Adrien.

"I love him that's why."

"M'lady, you don't need to do this now." Adrien stretched forward to grab Marinette's arm but she pulled it away.

"Yes I do, Adrien. I don't care what anyone says, I'm not lying anymore." She turned to face Alya. "I need you to give me your necklace."

Alya took a step back, clutching onto the necklace with both hands.

"No! Ladybug gave it to me."

"No she didn't Alya. It was stolen and now you're going to give it to me."

The guys stayed still and Kagami had her eyes positioned permanently on the ground. She knew this wasn't going to go well and she didn't want Marinette finding out she knew about their identities already. She wasn't sure if Adrien had told her yet or not.

"Alya, I'm going to ask you one last time. Give me your miraculous."

"And I've already told you Marinette, no! Ladybug gave it to me to keep."

"No, she didn't." Marinette was starting to feel like she'd lost the plot. She was quite sure the only permanent Miraculous holders were herself, Adrien and Nino. She was guardian, she'd know!

"Yes she did! Lila told me she would struggle being Ladybug as she's so pregnant now and she needed help."

"Bitch! She knows your Rena Rouge, she's been playing you. She needed someone who could use Trixx easily without the kwami getting too suspicious."

"How do you know who I am?" Alya's voice started to stumble and she felt herself falling into a black hole. Had she got this so wrong.

"Because I know you. Listen Alya, Lila's been playing you. She's not Ladybug."

"Then - then who is?" She tripped over her words as she tried to get them out.

"Tikki, spots on." Marinette transformed as she felt Adrien's soothing thoughts run through her brain. He was there for her. He was all she needed.

"But Lila said -"

"She's been manipulating you. Listen Alya a lot of shit is about to go down and I need to know if your going to be with us, or against us."

"Us?" Alya questioned.

"Plagg, claws out."

"Wayzz, shell on."

And just like that Alya was in a room with three superheroes. Her best friend, her best friends boyfriend and her boyfriend. How could she trust Lila over these three? She felt like she'd stopped breathing and began to cry.

"I'm so sorry Marinette. I shouldn't have done that to you and Adrien."

Marinette waved to the others to get moving. Felix needed to go to the hospital. They jumped out the windows each connected to another human and vaulted their way over to the hospital.

"Alya, I'm going to ask you one last time. Are you with us? Or are you against us?"

Just as Alya was about to answer a collection of screams were heard from the party downstairs, followed by a deafening noise and a blinding light.
